Remura has man distinct regions, each based around the 8 elements. Now as far as how time passes on this planet compared to it's sister planet of Earth, it's very irregular (think of how Narnia is from the Chronicles of Narnia). Years could pass on Remura and only a day could pass on Earth. For the RPG's sake, a 100 years have passed that Corrupted force has taken over Remura. Regardless there are still areas that have resisted the corruption and a few sanctuaries have popped up. And while society still exists, most of the kingdoms now are ruled by corrupted followers of the corrupted force. It should be noted that mystical creatures live here too. Here's a description of each region.

The Fire region is home to a lot of volcanic activity and mountain ranges. Thanks to the magic here though, it is livable and areas near the volcanos do provide rich soil for crops to go. Most phoenixes and dragons make their home here too, having prefer the warmer climate. It is arid in some places and any water source is normally found underground. The region has one major landmass but does have islands around it (this is where the volcanoes are). The landmass connects with Metal Region since the Fire Region is home to precious stones like obsidian and rubies. It's another reason why dragons like this area, the abundance of precious stones and metals (they find gold to be particularly comfortable).

After the Corrupted force took over Remura, the Fire Region a primary target because of its resources and the mystical creatures here became targets for poachers. The dragons and phoenixes did manage to create their own barriers by using the ancient magic that rests there in all of Remura. The corruption continually tries to break down these barriers though.

The Water region is one of the most unique and diverse areas of Remura. For one thing, most of the societies of this region live underwater. There are underwater kingdoms and even hidden depths that only the most adventurous dare to explore. However, there are numerous islands varying from the tropical to the cold icy kind. Most the underwater inhabitants are mer folk, who also have the ability to create legs. Some underwater cities also have domes surrounding them, keeping water from engulfing them, so regular air breathing creatures can live here too. Trade is vital for those who live in this region, especially on the islands where there's not as much resources compared to the regions with large landmasses. As a result, people who live on the islands are seafaring folk who rely on ports for business. The Water region also takes up the most area of Remura, having all of the oceans being a part of it. Like Earth, most of Remura is water. Unlike Earth though, 90% of the water is drinkable, including ocean water.

After the corrupted force attacked Remura, the Water region changed dramatically. For one thing a lot of sea creatures became corrupted, turning into dangerous beasts that would attack anyone without thought. Trade has taken a huge hit as a result. Only a handful of areas remained peaceful thanks to the magical barriers created by the most powerful mer folk.

This is all I have for now. I plan on trying to get to the other regions soon.

The Earth region consists of two types of landscapes- woods or plains. In the Woods section, all sorts of enchanted creatures live here, which include elves, satyrs, and a good number of 'fae folk'. If you're expecting to see faeries though, only their pixie relatives live here since the forests are so dense that it be hard for faeries to fly within there. Some wooded areas are jungles since Earth region is the largest landmass in Remura so it spans into tropical regions, which receive a lot of rain and sunlight. The entrances into the Dark region are here since some forests are so dense that very little sunlight penetrate the ground. The plains section of the Earth region is very vast and open and it is here that most residents of the Earth region live. Rivers flow through this area and the land is very fertile with a lot of crops being grown as well as flowers and other types of flora. This is has led to the Earth region being the place where most of Remura's crops grow.

The Corrupted force did a number on this region, but due to its importance for supplying most of the world's food, it didn't get hit as nearly as bad as a few other regions. The forests became very dangerous and some of the fae folk turned certain areas into labyrinths by creating a dense fog and people could easily get lost. One of the sanctuaries here does have a fog barrier around it too. The plains area is filled with corruption as people vie for power by trying taking control of the crops there. The only places that saw destruction were the flower farms in certain areas.

The Air Region consists purely of floating isles in the skies of Remura. Some islands are so close together they have bridges connecting them. The air is very thin, but the magic here helps others breath easily up there. A long number of Faeries live up here. People who want to visit this region will find rides in varies other regions. Huge birds are often the main mode of transportation around the Air Region and to other regions. Some islands are surrounded by clouds. The people who live up here tend to specialize in weather mechanics. Despite the large number of islands this region has, the Air Region has one of the lowest populations of people living in it.

The Air Region was one of the hardest hit regions. It was actually the first to get hit before any other region due to it's position. A good number of islands fell from the sky and destroyed parts of Remura. Sanctuaries were made though to keep several islands safe, especially the faeries.

The Lightning Region is one of the most 'advanced' areas when it comes to inventions and even had a friend rivalry with the Metal Region. A good number of locations are plagued by storms and the things created within this place try to harness the natural power. There are areas that don't get intense storms though. As far as natural environments go, the area has some of the most beautiful landscapes with cliffs and one major mountain range. Creatures like thunderbirds make their home in the cliffs of this region. The place has more lakes out of all the land regions. The Lightning region is home to one of the most prestigious libraries in Remura also. The region is located south of the Light Region, which is separated by that one mountain range.

The Corrupted force affected the weather of this region after its take over. Places that didn't see storms saw them and the storms are even more intense now. Out of the regions though, the Lightning Region generated one of the biggest rebellion groups. More the likely because the average Lightning Region citizen was rebellious by nature and didn't like being told what to do. There are still a few sanctuaries here, one of them dedicated to keeping the thunderbird population safe.

Located next to the Fire Region, the Metal region is the most mountainous out of the regions for it has several mount chains and gives the region a 'fortress-like' feel. The valleys of this region are where most of the residents live. One of the mountain chains is really unique, it's made entirely out of crystal. The region is also home to most of Remura's alchemists and there's even a learning institution dedicated to it. Most of the Remura's dwarf population lives here and they inhabit the mountain chains. Gryphons are known to live in this area, although they are very reclusive. Much like it's rival, the Lightning Region, the Metal region also tries to make enhancements, although they tend to focus more on weapon enhancements.

One of the biggest changes to the region after the Corruption took over the world was the increase orc and goblin activity. Before the invasion, the citizens of this area were able to keep them at bay, but after, they started growing in numbers dramatically and even took over some of the more prominent cities. The sanctuaries that were created were used to protect the dwarf and gryphon populations, although some dwarves citizen would do their part and try to help regular citizens out of their very poor circumstances.

The Dark Region is a pretty mysterious place. The entire region is underneath the Earth region and the only way to get to it are caves scattered around the Earth region. As such the two regions did rely on each other for the Dark Region was known mostly for it's own use of advance magic skills and magical items. The place is dark but thanks to ancient magic sleeping there it generates enough magic to light up certain areas. Things do grow down here like mushrooms and magical herbs and plants which resulted plenty of witches to inhabit this area. Another big population of citizens that live here are vampires. Now while they do need blood to sustain themselves, they can eat regular food and don't kill when they do drink blood. Sun does harm them though so they only time they go above surface is at night. There's also packs of werewolves who live down here, but they mostly stay there for places to sleep. They can turn back into humans anytime they want for the most part. Just the only time they stay wolf for awhile is during the few days when there's a full moon. In their human forms they do have wolf ears and tails.

The Dark region was the last area to be attacked by the Corrupted force due to it's location. The residents there did put up a good fight, but sadly what turn the tables was when werewolves started going feral and some vampires became a little too blood thirsty. Regardless, sanctuaries were put up to protect certain places and they mostly make up of vampires and werewolves who remain uncorrupted.

Located north of the Metal Region, the Light region is one of the colder areas since snow covers it most of the year. Even during the summer months the northern most part of the land is covered with snow. During the winter months one can see auroras appear. The most fascinating aspect of this region is the magic here allows it so it won't be too cold. The residents who live here also are fascinated with the stars in the night sky and it's these people who help other regions with their navigations, especially residents of the Water region since they relied on star positions to get around. It's why many of the residents in the Light Region are travelers. Amongst the other denizens of this place, there are a lot of unicorn herds that live here. Pegasi also make their home here.

When the Corrupted force came to Remura, the Light Region and magic users from there were the first to react, trying to purify it, but suffered heavy casualties when it grew in strength. The sanctuaries of this region came up pretty fast due to the intuitive nature of the unicorns in the area. In the end the Light region was nearly desolated by the time the Corruptive force took control of it. It made it so it was bitterly cold in all the areas it controlled.
