Personality: A kind and caring person, Edilyn is the type of individual who wants to help everyone. She’s non-violent, often looking for ways to solve a conflict when there is one, but also fights when she has to, even putting on a brave face when frightened. Edilyn is very friendly, playful, and energetic when it comes down to it however. She can read people rather easily as well, making it quite easy to make friends. As a result of this trait, Edilyn can convey and show her emotions easily and does frequently, however she tends to show all of her emotions. Despite usually being a careful person, Edilyn will occasionally act recklessly from time to time, especially for innocents and those she cares about.
Backstory: Born in Oakvale, Edilyn grew up living and breathing the magical arts. Her father was a druid of superior talent and her mother a well-known herbalist in the village before they had children. Sadly however, years after having Illarion, Camilla died giving birth to Edilyn due to…complications. Eddard and his son were naturally devastated, but they didn’t blame Edilyn for what happened and loved her all the same. Growing up without a mother was sometimes tough for her, but with the support of her family she managed to hang on. She was particularly close with her brother ten years her senior, following him everywhere and seeing him as someone to look up to.
However, a few days after her fifth birthday, Eddard died when a magical experiment went wrong, leaving Illarion and Edilyn orphans who were forced to grow up faster than many other children their age. Illarion was forced to get a job at the tender age of 11, and there were dark times for the two for years, as it was a struggle to support themselves and they on multiple occasions almost lost their home due to lack of payments. Even so, brother and sister persevered and things did get better, ultimately. Illarion eventually became a talented mercenary who took on various jobs and Edilyn grew into a gifted mage within the safe confines of the village. Edilyn remained in contact with her brother through letters, until one day Illarion stopped responding. Refusing to believe that he had died and finding the thought of him abandoning her inconceivable, Edilyn tried to track him down with little success. For months she searched to no avail, even leaving the safety of the village, all in efforts to find him. Determined as she was, she knew she would have to think of something more to do as her current attempt wasn’t working, which is why she joined the Guild of Heroes, having heard of their exploits during her travels. Edilyn hoped that the guild would have connections that would help her find the one she loved, plus she just wanted to help people.

Shine: Edilyn says an incantation which produces a ray of light from her palm, spreading over a medium sized area to temporarily blind the target(s).
*Rexaura: A bright aura of light slowly descends upon the foe, enveloping it within the warm embrace of the purest radiance, before detonating in a crescendo of light tempests and cyclones.
Purge: As the name implies, dispels darkness caused by magic in some cases. The more powerful the magic is, the less likely it is that the spell will work.
Thani: When cast, Thani condenses ambient light into the form of a large glowing sphere of radiant energies above the target, which proceeds to descend down towards the opponent, erupting in a large spire of light. Can also be summoned from the palm to attack.
Blessing: Edilyn uses light magic to heal the target by touch. Takes a lot of energy to do.
