    Maxace Arslan Cooper

Nickname: Max, Captain Cooper, The Machine

    Physical Age: 23

    Affinity: H.U.N.T.E.R.s

    Position: Captain

    Lineage: Hunter/Director Hybrid

    Personality:

Max is pretty outgoing and is generally friendly towards everyone he comes across. He also tends to have friends in the oddest of places, most of whom who wouldn't mind doing him a favor or two. He is however, very protective of his sister and two friends. He is smart, physically fit and can be stealthy when he needs to (being a hunter). He dislikes confrontation and will exhaust all other options before starting a fight. In case of a confrontation, he is proficient in the use of weaponry. His passion in live is food and can usually be found at the nearest buffet table. He doesn't consume any alcoholic substances in fear of losing his mind (to personas, read below) though it has never actually been tested. He has strong principles and doesn't not believe in killing others....in fact, he is against it.

    History:

Coming from an ancient forgotten race of peacekeepers, Max is the last known member of the Hunter's clan, albeit being of mixed blood. An accident while adventuring in an uncharted territory left him, his sister and two friends trapped in a deep cavern with literally no hopes of escaping. Left with no other choice, his adopted sister Jessica (ability: vegetation control) used her ability to put the four of them into a deep sleep.

They were awoken centuries later when they were found in the cavern by a famous excavation company. Assumed to simply be lost explorers, the workers had them rushed to a nearby hospital. The four awoke on the way to the hospital and had managed to escape. Within a year, the four had managed to adapt to the new world without their born abilities.

Realizing his abilities could be put to good use, Max spent several years of working with the United Federations of Peacekeepers, after which he left due to ethical disagreement with the company policies. Barely a month went by before Max was drafted into the United Nations Orbital Spectre Task Force team as a first mate aboard the SC1- Phantom. Two years after joining, he was promoted to Captain only to lose the majority of his crew in a FTL travel accident. Depressed, Max left the force in friendly terms to pursue his own goals to create his own group of mercenaries so that he could control and choose his own missions.

Using the funds saved up from his time in the force, he designed and had The Invictus built. He managed to recruit his good friend Keith and his wife Kate Osbourne, who served with him aboard the Phantom, into his crew. The three spent several months recruiting "gifted" people into their crew. With the new crew members, including his sister and two best friends, they became a complete unit of mercenary known as the Heterogeneous Un-subdued Neo-Tactical Engaging Response squad or HUNTERs for short. The name also payed tribute to his long forgotten lineage.

    Relationships:

Family: Kristopher Cooper (Father), Catherine Hurst (Mother), Jessica (Adopted Sister)

    Abilities:

Despite being a Hunter, Max doesn't have superhuman attributes (agile, strength ets..) which are typically associated with other hunters. He has an incredibly fit physique but its still within human limits. His hunter abilities only manifests when he is under severe emotional duress (is extremely rare).

His dominant ability is his control over matter which is generally used to shape-shift items that he touches. The items he manipulates generally return to their original nature after a few minutes of leaving his touch.

    Limitations:

    • Needs to touch the objects to manipulate it.

    • He has a split personality disorder which surfaces whenever his hunter abilities emerge.

Depending on the nature of the duress, there's three possible personality (dubbed Personas) that could take over. (Strength/Agility/Intelligence percentile based on average Hunters)

    > Dispair: Cell Persona: Crazy n childish. Loves to play sick mind games with his opponents. (S:25/A:100/I:50)

    > Anger: Blood Persona: To keep it simple...like a beast. (S:50/A:100/I:25)

    > Stress: Axo Persona: Smart and mature (S:25/A:50/I:100)

•He also loses his matter control ability when taken over by Personas.

Others: Max is very close to Rose. Max also shares the crew's inability to age due to prolonged FTL travels.

The sidewalks leading up to the school on the hill was packed with students from all grades making their way for the first day of school after summer vacation. The bright pink petals from the Sakura trees littered the floor to the point you couldn't even see the pavement underneath. The sun glared high up in the sky causing much dismay to the students below not wishing to spend another beautiful day back in school.

Danny raised an arm wiping the sweat that had appeared upon his forehead, holding on to the strap of his rucksack in one hand and a bottle of water in the other. He had managed to cram all his stuff in to his bag side by side with his soccer ball, he was hoping to join the team for this year. He had only started to dream about it when a smack from the back of the head brought him back to reality. It was Landon, a huge smile beaming from his face, his moosey brown hair flopping all over the place "Yo! Bro! You think we are going to be in the same class?!". Danny smirked placing his hands within his pockets "I really hope so, it would be depressing if I didn't know someone in my class". Landon fell in to a skip besides Danny "Oh don't give me that frowny face you always have no problem making friends!"

It was right at that moment that someone with long black hair came running past bashing in to the side of Landon causing him to almost topple over on to Danny. "Hey watch where you are going prick!" Landon yelled after the figure but the pair quickly backed to the side of the path as another student came running forward with long silver hair with a more muscular build went charging after him, he almost looked like he could be Danny's older brother, no problem. "GET YOUR ASS BACK HERE WITH MY LUNCH MONEY!". The black haired figure span around giving a wink "Nope Satire! You are going to have to catch me first!"

Cade smiled looking at the two running after each other. "Yep, summer's up. Back to school we go.", he said with a half-hearted smile. Just a little ways behind him, two girls were walking together, one with a smile as she walked enthusiastically with several books in her hand while the other simply smiled, amused at the sight of the two boys running around.

"First day back to school and they're definitely right on cue."
, the Sarah said before turning her attention towards Jessie. "Where's Max anyway ?", she asked. Jessie adjusted the books in her hand before she replying. "He went to the cafeteria to buy us some food.", she said, pausing for a moment before continuing, now with a slight reddish hue on her cheeks. "We both kinda woke up late and had to skip breakfast."

"Finally !!", Max exclaimed as he stepped out of the minimart with a small plastic bag in his hand. "Breakfast of champions !!", he said with a proud smirk as he raised the plastic bag to the person standing before him. Ryan, who was standing right before him looked at him uninterestedly for a few seconds before deciding to ignore him and walk away. "Well, that was rude.", Max said, looking irritatedly at Raven's retreating back. "Ah, don't mind him. Its the first day of school, ...aaaand he's pissed off at everything.", Scott said, now walking up to him. Scott looked cheery, with his usual smile. "Morning.", Max said, moving his head in a reverse nod. "Good morning to you.", Scott replied as his eyes wondered to the plastic bag. "Breakfast ?", Scott asked. "Yep, woke up late, had to skip breakfast....you know how it is.", he replied. "Oh, then you better hurry. Classes start in 10.", Scott said, gesturing his watch. "Crap, I gotta go find my sister. I got her breakfast here too. I'll catcha later bro.", Max said as he ran off, disappearing into the crowd of students heading out of the cafe.

Once the black haired male and the silver haired Satire had disappeared from view, Landon and Danny kept on walking with the latter constantly looking at a couple of girls not too far behind them. It wasn't long before Landon gave a little smirk "Checking out the hotties already eh Danny?".

Danny gave him an evil glare but it quickly softened "Do you know who she is? The one with the black hair carrying the books?". Landon glanced over his shoulder to see who Danny was talking about "Honestly no idea, they probably came from a different middle school, but they mentioned a dude named Max so she could very well be taken buddy".

Not too far in front of Landon and Danny was a group of girls, the main seemed to be a rather tall girl with a bushy head of green hair put up high in a pony tail with a small much more timid girl standing right behind her with hair matching the same as Landon's. A blonde haired girl seemed to be doing much of the talking who appeared to be in a big debate with another, much more eccentric girl with long flowing purple hair.

Danny bit his lip watching their mini skirts sway as they walked up the hill in front "The chances are we won't even stand a chance with those hotties". Right on cue the man named Satire had returned wrapping an arm around the tall blonde while the long black haired he had been chasing earlier had sweeped the green haired girl in his arms rather dramatically. "Yep I am much better off pursuing that girl with the books".

Landon chuckled to himself "Whatever you say bro, whatever you say"

As Max disappeared into the crowds, Scott decided to turn his attention back towards his sulking twin brother. "We got lucky this year. We're in the same class.", he said as sitting down across from Raven. "I can keep you out of trouble.", Scott continued with a grin. Raven simply shrugged before chugging down a box of milk, deciding to ignore his brother.

Scott smirked as he sat back and allowed his eyes to wonder off, jumping from one student to the next, looking for more familiar faces. The bulk of the students within the cafeteria looked to be heading out. Reminding himself to look at his watch, he stood up. Raven followed suit without a sound as the two headed for class.

Scott managed a short chuckle and nudged Raven, gesturing the row of new students walking into the school hall. Raven, as always, simply glanced at the new students uninterestedly. "They look really excited.", Raven said sarcastically as he turned his attention away from the nervous looking new students. "Ahh, don't be too hard on them. We were nervous too when we first came here. Lighten up.", Scott said as he smiled and waved at some of the new girls that were looking in their direction. Raven on the other hand, looked away in annoyance at the giggling girls. "Oh look, they're blushing..... They must really like you.", Scott teased as he joined Raven towards their classroom in Block D.

The two had just stepped past the classroom threshold when the bells rang, signalling the start of the new semester.

The bell could be heard from a distance signing the beginning of class, most of the people still climbing the hill quickly set off at a run not wishing to be late on the first day of school. Both Landon and Danny quickly picked up their past dashing up the path. Upon arrival at the gate the two of them spotted a noticeboard announcing that new students were to report to the assembly hall in order to find out what class they were going to be sorted in to. It was just their luck that it was located right at the back. The two boys grabbed on to their rucksacks tightly and went sprinting off through the grounds past the arts and music blocks. When they finally arrived nervous first students were still entering through the door. The pair quickly joined them.
