Premise (based on the Duel Terminal series of Yu-Gi-Oh)

As four tribes endlessly quarrel with one another, the armies of light and darkness appear before them. As these tribes fight each other for their own reasons, they are inevitably dragged into a battle between light and darkness. The Lavals, a tribe of fire, use machinery molded from ancient stone. The Gishkis as a tribe of fish-like bipedal humanoids (with some humans) use forbidden water magic from the ancient Ice Barrier to conquer regions. The Gustos, a wind tribe of nature-loving humans and birds, are dedicated to their goddess of the fertile Mist Valley, Sophia. The Gem-Knights are chivalric Knights of the earth itself, clad in the power of gems who stand up to defend their friends and allies. The common enemy of the four elemental tribes are the ancient Steelswarms. They possess the power to convert dead material into pure energy, feeding on the energy to destroy planets, which is why they were sealed away by the Vylons. The Vylons assist the four tribes to prevent the Steelswarms from eradicating life on the planet. Although the tribes are generally bitter to each other, they realize that they must cooperate to defeat the Steelswarms. Will the Steelswarms survive?
