Realistic or Modern DROP THE MIC - WANDERLUST ( A BAND RP )

wolfstar

NIFFLER LOVER
It had been a long and tiring month of endless practices, endless fittings, endless meetings with the producers, executives of the labels and everything that needed to happen before the start of the tour at the end of the week. But this was just the beginning of the year-long tour. The band had only been playing at local gigs around their home base at the moment and it was a whirlwind of excitement and endless fun for most of the members of the band most likely! But now was the announcement of the tour as they performed live on TV for a news station that broadcasts around the world. It was several hours before the live performance and it was the last few days before they would be leaving the comfort of the hotel they had been using as their residence for the time being. Nerves were high for some and it was still just as exciting for those who had been performing from the group since the beginning.

But since it was a few hours till the big announcement about the tour. It was time to get things ready and hopefully not be tense performing on live television. Most assuredly , most of the group wouldn’t be tense of course but there was always that one person who might be. You never truly knew in these cases. Everyone prepared for things and dealt with different social interactions in different ways after all. That was just how things were of course. Just the way things tended to be in these situations. Somnus was definitely one of the latter with trying not to be overly stressed about a performance they have done live numerous times. But these were new songs, new people, and new audiences that He wasn’t particularly used too and He was never one of the ones super comfortable in front of the camera. The only bad part about being in the band in his personal opinion anyways.

He had subjected himself to be pacing around the big hotel suite the band had been given by management to prepare before they started the world wide tour. Besides Wanderlust - the band itself had grown far bigger than Somnus ever could have pictured or dreamed. But fortunately it seemed the three that had been there since the beginning were still in the group so there was some semblance of familiarity which He was forever grateful for. But he was still pacing away mumbling nervously to himself under his breath as He fumbled his hands together. He never meant to get this nervous obviously but it happened before every performance no matter what He did to unwind or anything. Nerves just always got to him. But He still had a few hours to get calm before they had to head to the news station or even start to get ready as He was still in just some comfortable clothing anyways.

Faith on the other-hand was just chilling on the couch leaning backwards just attempting to try to read a book. Very much trying to focus on the book and not on what was going on around her. Which was like mission impossible for her as she glanced up from the book watching one of her bandmates pace around for awhile. Before glancing back down at her book letting out a small sigh and she shifted the way that she was sitting to be able to try and focus back on the book to unwind a bit before the band had to start getting ready for that night. She was most certain that it would be alright and the show would go as planned that night. Everyone in the group was so talented! Besides she had her bestie here and lots of other cool folks too and hey! They could still have fun and make a career out of it right?!

Eventually though, Faith gave up on reading the book, sticking a bookmark in the page and tossing it on the side table beside the couch. “ Ugh……” She groaned. “ Too excited to read right now…..” She exclaimed loudly leaning backwards dramatically. “ Entertain me”

Nyx was a little nervous as well. She newer to the band life than some of them, and though it had been almost ten months now that she'd been a part of Wanderlust, she wasn't sure that she would ever truly get used to it. She got more nerves than some of them, which she thought might be partly because she was less used to it and maybe partly that she felt more pressure to be perfect if the fans were going to get over hating her. Not that she'd ever admit to nerves. She may be sitting cross-legged on the floor in the corner, strumming on her guitar and going through the set list. But if asked, she'd just say she wanted to be perfect. Or as close as she could be. Nyx paused when Faith threw her book away and looked up with a faint smile on her lips. But before she could say anything, Phoenix walked in from where they'd been putzing around in the kitchen.

Phoenix looked immaculate, even before they'd begun getting ready for the show. They refused to be seen looking anything other than their best. Today they wore red skin-tight pleather pants and top, accompanied with black high-heels. Their makeup was perfection, making their eyes and lips pop. As per usual, they had on so man rings and necklaces that it was bordering on too much. He was sucking on a lollipop and carrying a mug of tea in one hand. He walked over to Somnus, pulling the lollipop out of his mouth as he went. She blocked Somnus' path and placed the warm mug in her friend's hands. "Relax," Phoenix said insistently, sounding happy and excited but not the least bit nervous. Phoenix had long ago gotten over any stage fright she might have had once. She'd learned that the stage was where she belonged, that she shone and people loved her there. "You'll be perfect, as always," Phoenix said softly, reassuringly. He kissed Somnus on the cheek, leaving a slight smudge of lipstick. It was a casual gesture, as if everyone went around kissing their friends. Which, in fairness, Phoenix did. Actually, Phoenix went around kissing everyone. And sure, maybe Phoenix was drawn to Somnus. But he was, perhaps, the one person that Phoenix had never tried to see if things could go further than a kiss on the cheek. Their friendship with Somnus was too precious to risk losing for something as silly as a fling.

"You too," Phoenix added, looking over to Nyx, who had paused in playing her guitar but had been doing so for hours prior. "You play any longer and your fingers are going to fall off - you're not going to get anymore perfect." Phoenix paused a moment, glancing from Faith who was asking for entertainment to Somnus and Nyx who were failing to conceal that they were jumping out of their skin. "Come on, let's all do something fun to unwind!" she suggested excitedly.

"Like what?" Nyx asked curiously, looking up at Phoenix from her spot on the ground. Nyx was a little reluctant to stop practicing but Phoenix wasn't entirely wrong - if she didn't know it at this point, it was probably too late. And she did know it. So she might as well take a break and think about something else for a bit. Besides, she had a bit of a soft spot for Faith. They were polar opposites but that only seemed to draw Nyx to the other woman all the more. It made her appreciate just how precious Faith was. She knew they were friends and that was what they would remain, she had no illusions about that. But it didn't make her value Faith any less. So, if Faith was asking for something to do to distract herself from pre-gig excitement then Nyx was in.

"I don't know - dance party? Truth or dare? Jam?" Phoenix suggested cheerily. Phoenix could never be caught short of ideas for fun things to do and could keep on listing suggestions until gig time if he set his mind to it. But he decided to pause there and see if any of the others latched onto any of the ideas or suggested another of their own.

TLDR: He was sitting beside Faith on the couch, lost in his imagination as he pretended to drum along to Nyx's practicing. He then drew a dog on the back of his hand before doodling a cat on Faith's hand to match. In response to Phoenix, he votes for playing truth or dare.

Remember what you are: a goddamn superstar.
There wasn't an ounce of nervousness about the performance in Felix that day, and his demeanour made that obvious. It wasn't out of the ordinary for him not to worry. He was lucky enough to have full confidence that he wasn't going to mess anything up during the performance, and even in the unlikely event that he did, it wouldn't be the end of the world. It definitely helped that he wasn't hungover. He wanted to be able to play to the best of his ability during the tour—the live announcement performance included—so he hadn’t gone to a major party in twelve whole days. That was out of the ordinary.

Felix had been lounging on one of the suite's couches next to Faith as she attempted to read her book, two black drumsticks in his hands as he drummed away at the air playfully. It hadn't been a conscious decision, but as he pretended to drum, his hand movements just so happened to mirror all of the songs that Nyx practiced as she strummed on her guitar in the corner. When Felix closed his eyes, he could envision it all perfectlythe drums, the stage, the roaring crowd and the music, all right in front of him at the will of his imagination.

It was only upon hearing Faith's voice that he remembered where he was, placing the drumsticks down on the arm of the couch beside him and instead reaching into one of his pockets. Felix pulled out a pen before starting to draw something on the back of his hand, the expression on his face showing complete concentration as he did so. After a few moments passed and he was done, he looked down at his hand and let out an amused chuckle, satisfied with his work. Before he revealed what he had drawn on his own hand, without missing a beat, he took one of Faith's hands gently and began drawing on the back of it.

"I like the sound of that," he spoke up in response to Phoenix as he added some details to the drawing, always down to do pretty much anything that the glamorous guitarist suggested. "The second one," he clarified, officially putting his vote forward for truth or dare. "Or we could fly to Venus, but it might make us a little late to the show" he added jokingly, grinning at the unrealistic idea as he finished the doodle on Faith's hand and slipped the pen back into his pocket. Waiting to hear what the others felt like doing, he finally held up the back of his own hand while smiling to show Faith that they were sort of matching now. "What d'ya think?"

Faith was leaning back from her dramatic fall back from supreme boredom glancing over at the book knowing she was going to fix the way the book was laying soon, so no one would have a cow at her. She reached quickly to pick up up and close it properly and sit the book on the table in front of the couch now instead. Reading was never really her thing anyway. She didn’t really know why she even tried! But hey! That’s not her focus right now anyway. She was just listening to everything going around her before She heard Felix’s amused chuckle and she couldn’t help but curiously peer over to see what he was up too. Blinking slowly when He took her hand and started drawing on it and sitting as still as she could still letting him draw on her hand.

Faith tended to be a very bouncy person.... except during the shows the loud environment always seemed to calm her down too. Smiling in amusement and trying to take a peak but when she realized she couldn’t contort herself to take a peek. She just went to turn her focus on everyone else to see what was happening with them. " So anyone down to go for some food after that show tonight? I know it's going to be late and we have to be up early to go , you know on the tour tomorrow. But I did wanna try that cute ramen shop across the street if anyone else is down?" She offered. It would be nice to do something as a whole group before they left. At least in her humble opinion.

Faith was humming lightly to herself once more but her focus easily went back to trying to see what Felix was drawing on her hand but she didn’t want to move to much to mess him up. So she instead focused on watching what everyone else was in the room was up. But as soon as She heard him speak again, She raised her free hand putting in her own vote. “ I vote for truth or dare too! But flying to Venus sounds pretty fun too, but how would we even fly to Venus? On a tour plane or something?” She joked back. " But the dance party sounds cool too! Ugh so little time so many great choices. Darn it" She laughed a bit. " But I still think truth or dare sounds good! - long as we are done in time so no one get yelled at before the show! Cause that is not the vibe" She rambled a bit.

When He was finally finished drawing on her hand, Faith blinked slowly watching his face beam in a smile and she honestly couldn’t help but smile either. Looking down at the doodle on her own hand before glancing over to see what he drew on his own. “ Oh my stars! That is so adorable! We sorta watch!” She exclaimed. But she was still beaming with joy. “ I absolutely love it! So talented” She gushed moving a bit to lean back slightly against him looking up at him with a grin before turning to look at everyone else. " But anyways - what is everyone else down for and still any thoughts about the ramen shop?"
