In a world full of Dragons, war has continued to spread across the land, and every race alike has suffered. An Evil has seeped from a place unknown, with powers seen by few. This evil had taken a name, The Dusk. The Dusk are almost like shadow, Warriors and Dragon Riders covered in armor and their skin almost black at night. The Shadow Dragons themselves look nothing close to a normal dragon.


Only the Humans and Orcs have truly put most of their effort into the war. Many races had just gone into hiding or withdrawn to a purely self preservation defense. The Dragon Riders in Aria, known as the Dragon Core, have managed to hold up the fight against the Dusk along the sides of the mighty Orcs, but things are beginning to look grim. The war looks like it is about to come to an end, with The Dusk as the victors.


The Humans and Orcs scramble to keep the tide in their favor, looking for everything that could get them close helping them win the war. Orcs have turn to ways of war which bring them no honor and the Humans have now even gone as low as chasing after myths of power. Can the Dragon Core truly win the war against this almost unknown and powerful foe? It is up to a select few to try and save the Core, their home land Aria and the world from total destruction.

Dragon Core

“Congratulation on graduating Dragon Core Training and Academy! You will all now be transferred for a Core base or places here. You will also be paired according to your scores in the Partnered Training and Tests that you had taken over the last few months. Because of The Dusk we will require that you remain with your Dragon Core Companion when taking flights or in any unfamiliar areas. Please get along with your Companion and work together well. Congratulation, you are dismissed.” The Instructor then saluted everyone and then pressed his hand back down to his side and nodded for everyone to leave.


Irene breathed a long sigh of relief and felt herself bring her saluting hand down and pressing it to her pounding heart. She made it! She was an official member of the Dragon Core! Every bit of her was excited. She wondered who her partner will be? Hopefully someone she had worked well with during the training.


“Irene, Zanumira. Please see me ASAP.” The Instructor said as he turned and entered his office.


Oh no, Irene thought, maybe she really did fail, maybe she was getting let go right now? It was obvious, Zanumira was such a mouth off sometimes, it was the only reason they would both be called. Holding onto her chest she began to approach the Instructors office, butterflies swarm in her stomach with fear.

Zanumira listened with a grin of course she made it. She was amazing with an amazing dragon partner. Con had helpped her train and she would often fuss at him but it was a good experience. She dropped her hand and heard her name called. With a raied brow she flipped her almost white hair back and walked with an exagerates swing up to the instructor. She was called with Irene. She didn't know alot about the other girl really. Exept she had a white dragon.

Staring at the Instructor, Irene placed her hands to her sides and stood in a laxed attention.


Once both Privates were settled the Instructor pulled two envelopes off his desk and placed them individually between the two graduates. Clearing his throat he began with an explanation, “You two have been assigned companions, but I did not call you in here for that. You see, you two were out top teamed graduates in both the Core Training program and the Core Academy. We have been given orders down from the Aria Headquarters that the next two top graduates will be transferred to Dragon Valley Core Post for a special mission. Now don’t get your hopes up, in my opinion, it is really nothing special. But regardless, this is an honor.”


Irene could not help to let a small quite sigh of relief escape her lips. She felt herself relax a little, but then tense up, with excitement this time. The instructor continued after a small pause to let the recruits take in the news.


“I would like you two to keep this between yourselves. In this folder is the map and location to your new post, nothing on the mission, you will be briefed when you get to your location. I would like for you two to leave bright and early tomorrow morning. You will be reporting to Sergeant Major Symon Maui, Major Maui to you. When you get there, be sure to hand Major Maui your folders with your transfer information. You two are dismissed. Fly safe.” The Instructor saluted one last time and then nodded to let them know that they may leave now.


Irene saluted back quickly and then fumbled to get her folder with the information regarding her transfer and the maps to their destination. Turning around she quickly exited the office, sharing the news with her dragon, We have been selected for a special mission! We were top of our class! Irene suddenly skidded a halt when she realized she had just ran out leaving her new partner. She might as well get a proper introduction out of the way before hand.

Zanumira grinned when she was told she was the best of the class. Well of course she was, who could even touch her? Her smile was smug and more then a little conceited. She was only upset she couldn't brag about it yet. "an honor indeed thank you," she told theInstructor taking her envelope and smiling at her partner after saluting the Instructor.


"Hey...wanna go grab a bite?" Zani asked her.
