World Building Dragon Bombers

You must be wondering what I mean by “Dragon Bombers” basically it’s an idea that I fell in love with. In a dragon based world a unit in the military are Dragon Bombers. These are dragons that are fast and experienced flyers. And actually only one race of dragon can actually fly. I haven’t come up with a name yet. Anyways, I can’t decide on two things. One, should the dragon bombers actually carry bombs example being one from like WW2, which why I made such unit because I love WW2 bombers. Or, should they have some other form of bombing technique.


Two, should I make vehicles. Actual bombers and having small reptile dragons piloting them? This would mean they’d have tanks and other ‘modern’ vehicles for war.
This world is fantasy but also a sci-fi ish world..

If you want to do bombs, I don’t see why that couldn’t work! You may want to check out the Temeraire series—it’s dragons in combat in the Napoleonic Wars rather than WW2 inspired, but they do use bombs off the dragons and it might give you some ideas on what that could look like.
