Her father worked in a bakery and passed on some of his skills to her; because she had adequate cooking experience, she got the job of kitchen maid in Downton Abbey. After three years of good service, she was offered the chance to become a housemaid, which was a rarity for someone not yet 18. She has been in that position for a year.​

He was however very supporting of his orphanage and family, stuff he stole were always handed to the orphanage as donations and he tried to fight anyone who troubled any of his brothers. Eventually in his teens he was arrested and sent to jail. Once he was released he left Scotland and traveled to England were with a bit of false information go a job at Downtown.
