Hey Todd how do you feel about homebrew weapons? My character idea is someone who isn't directly involved with the UAC or ARC so most of his gear is scavenged or custom made. In particular He's a sniper and in my head the Ballista is too big for him to use unless it's mounted to something.

That'll be fine. Just try to find pictures that resemble or closely resemble the weapons.
