Started a new roleplay abut the next generation of Disney characters set in a modern day high school. Here's the overview.

Before this year, the villains' kids have been locked away for most of their lives on an island. They've been watched, monitored; the 'good guys' have been scared that the bad guys' kids will end up as, well...bad guys. However, they've decided this year that it was unfair, and so they've let the kids finally attend this school alongside the heroes' kids.

Tensions are very high, and apparently the 'villains' kids are in the school because they've been given a "second chance"...In reality, it's because there's darkness sprouting up everywhere. Evil is corrupting good, and many townspeople have been taken or disappeared - shadow-creatures have been rising up from nowhere, and the 'evil kids' have been put in school to be watched and tested. They're being monitored in this open environment, not on the island, to see if they're somehow the ones that are causing this.

It begins with a teacher. Then a student. Then another, and another...

People are disappearing without a trace; some are being mutilated, others cursed. All fingers point to the darkness - the very one that's been spreading all over the world.

During prom night he shadow-creatures flood the school, and lots of people get hurt. The school's in lockdown, but some kids leave the dance to check it out - and they see something. A mystery that they need to solve...and the school has its mysteries, too.

They find out that not only the villains are at fault. Nobody's good or bad anymore; the past is in the past. This is a new beginning - a darker one.

After that night, some kids are worried, but others are in ignorant bliss. Teachers disappear, kids are killed; they're being picked off, and it becomes urgent. Our characters (some of them, anyway) need to leave the school and go to find answers - they go to the Blue Fairy, go basically on a 'quest' and stuff; others stay behind and figure out the mystery that's inside the school.

You can't trust anybody - some 'good' characters are actually the ones that are behind the evil, and the situation gets serious and dark; it starts out happy but gets bad fast. All the characters learn something:

Trust no one.
