Fandom Silver Sage Village (Harvest Moon)

James The sunlight shined through the window, causing green eyes to flicker open. The comforter fell to the ground as tanned and muscled arms stretched out. Soon James was dressed his typical outfit, red flannel shirt with a white t-shirt and blue jeans. He walked into the kitchen and made himself a piece of toast and eggs. After devouring his breakfast James went outside, time to start with the chores.

His eyes fell onto his small barn, its red roof stood out but was complimented by the dark wood. He opened the doors to reveal three cows and three sheep. "Morning." James greeted the livestock. Baa's and Moo's echoed. After brushing, sheering, milking, and petting he let them out to graze. He hoped the fence and went into his chicken coop which held two chickens. After carefully taking the eggs and feeding them, he went to water the current crops, strawberries and tomatoes. They were almost ready to harvest, maybe tomorrow. Now that the chores were done, he decided to go visit Rose at the general store.

Rose The alarm went off, Rose groaned and turned it off. She quickly got dressed in her garden clothes, a brown t-shirt and blue jeans. She went out to her garden, which was filled with flowers. She watered them and picked some yellow roses that were in full bloom. Put them in the shop, brighten it up. She went back into her house and changed into her white dress and whit sandals. As she stepped outside she inhaled the fresh spring air. Spring was her favorite winter. A brief walk lead her store, The Happy Go General Store. Rose fished out her keys and unlocked the door. She turned on the lights and decided to start cleaning by dusting. James would be here any minute to say hi and help her if she needed.

Kian Ellis had only been living in Silver Sage Village for little over two weeks, and already it was a running joke within the little village that one could set their watches by Kian.

This was because Kian pretty much followed the same schedule over, and over again. At 6:00am in the morning, Kian would wake up, shower and change into his usual clothing; a flannel shirt with a comfortable t-shirt underneath. He would then eat breakfast, usually something like oatmeal, whatever he could buy at the general store. Then at 7:00am, he would head to his forge, remove his flannel shirt and began working on any customised orders or display tools that he was running short of. This would happen until about 10:00am. That would be when he would head to his shop to open it, to stock the newly created tools in the storeroom before heading to the counter to maintain it, ready for any customers that should come in requiring tools.

At 6:00pm, the shop would close, and he would head back to his forge and continue working until 8:000pm, when he would polish and maintain his tools (especially the tools that his mentor gave him; those were polished and maintained nightly) head back to his living quarters, have a heavy dinner, shower and sleep. On the days that the store was closed, he would go to the mine nearby and begin mining for materials that he needed for his tools. He would do this until he had enough materials for the tools he needed to create, before spending the rest of the time in the workshop creating his tools. Meals usually proceeded at the same time.

Kian was a bit solitary, he knew that, and in all honestly he had yet to really connect with the villagers he was living with. He rarely ventured out of his home, workshop and shop, only to shop and the general store for his daily needs and to mine for materials. He had been here for two weeks already, and he was wondering if he should start talking to the villages. The only person he knew was the shop keeper at the general store, and he yet to actually learn her name. Still though, something kept him from socialising as often as he should. Perhaps, it was his schedule. It could also be due to him being lazy or shy. He was forever postponing heading to a socializing ground to just chat with the villages. Perhaps he would, on his off-day this week. If he did not postpone again.

Rose finished dusting and began to sweep the floor. A local customer came in and bought a couple of items. She sighed as the store remained empty. Rose didn't know how much longer she would be able to stay in Silver Sage. Her parents offered to help her out, but Rose didn't want to take her parents money. The door opened and James walked through.

"Morning sis." James greeted. He examined the small store looking spotless."You know I don't think you could make the place any cleaner even if you tried." James said.

"Yeah, not much else to do though." Rose said. "Although the new resident stops by every once in awhile, I think his Kade? No that's not right. I can't recall. Regardless I hope he comes in. Nice to have a new face around." Rose said with a smile.

"Oh you mean the blacksmith? Yeah it's nice to have a blacksmith around. I've been needing a new hoe." James said. "I think I'll go do that, do you need anything?" James asked. "I think I'm good, thanks though." Rose said. James left the store and went to the blacksmith store. He saw the owner and smiled. "Hi." he said.

Blacksmith Store

It had been a lazy day that day, in Kian's opinion. It had been pretty quiet, not many people had come in, and even less people had bought something. He could count the amount of sales he had that day on three fingers. This village was so slow and sleepy; a huge change from the bustling cities he had been used to, where there would be at least three customers in his shop at any given time. Now, he would be lucky if he managed to get three customers in a day. It could not be helped; Silver Sage Village was an extremely tiny village and in all honesty he would probably have left by now if it were not for the nearby mine. That, and the fact that this village offered him a chance of pace; a chance to finally breathe. It would probably be some time before he would get bored of the pace of life in this village, but until then, he was going to enjoy himself.

Usually, Kian would be busy about his shop, polishing something, or arranging something else to his liking. But it was such a sleepy day... which was why he was seated on a chair with his feet up on his store counter with his arms crossed on his chest. His head was resting on his chest, and his eyes were half-closed. He was already in a holiday mood and was barely in the mood to do any maintenance of his shop. Though the bell chime at the door quickly put a stop to any relaxation; that meant a customer was coming in. He jumped up just as the customer approached his counter."Yo," he said, giving a pleasant nod and smile. "Need anything today?"

"Yeah do you have a hoe? The one I have is getting old and rusty it's about to break." James explained. He admired the small blacksmith shop and not surprisingly, empty. "Let me guess, slow couple days huh?" James asked, trying to make small talk. "Rose has had some slow days too. She runs the general store." James added. He looked at some other tools, seeing if he needed anything else. He hoped more people would move to Silver Sage soon otherwise this little town had a small chance of making it.

"Heh, yeah, it has been extremely slow here,"
Kian said, giving a sigh and a shake of his head. "Things must be that bad if even the general store is having days as slow as this." So the general store's owner was named Rose. This was something new; Kian made sure to remember that little fact the next time he visited the general store, which would probably be soon, as one of his off-days was coming up. "Anyway, hoes," he added, going right down to business. "They're right there," he said, pointing towards the northeast of his shop, where a variety of hoes of different sizes and lengths stood on display. "They're of different sizes, you would probably find one the size that you need. If not, I can custom-make one, though you'd have to give me the size details that you'll need. Alternatively, I can also repair your hoe, though I'd need to look at it first before determining the charges. If it's in that bad a shape though, you're probably better off buying a new one; would be cheaper then."

Melody is walking to the general store, she needed to buy some food since they were low on it "Things go way too slow" she mumbles, they hadn't had any customers yet, she wondered if she could get some food at the farm later, she pulls the hood of her cloak down and she sighs, she wished she could go to the school, but it was closed, maybe she could go to the city to buy food there, she enters the store and says "Hello", she was rather polite to others, mostly because she didn't know anyone besides her grandmother.

Rose Rose smiled "Hello. How can I help you today?" Rose asked. She was glad she cleaned the store today as she stepped from behind the counter. She admired the red hood, it suited Melody.

[fieldset\=James] "Hopefully some new blood starts rolling in." James said as he walked over to the hoes. He examined them as Kian kept talking. James grabbed a hoe and said "No this one works. The one I currently have is not worth fixing." James replied. All of the tools he had were hand me downs from some other farmers before they left, great gesture and saved him some money but the tools were old and soon he would have to replace all of them. "How much?" James asked. [/fieldset] @HuorSpinks @Flame Demon

"Well I'm wondering if you have some food, we're low on it" Melody says and she sees the girl inspecting he cloak "Why is it people always look at my cloak, it's an old one" she mumbles and walks to Rose "I haven't really been here before and my grandmother's busy with the store, well not that we're getting any customers, sorry I should really complain, everyone here has trouble"

@stepherz345

"It's okay. I don't get many customers either. Unless you count my brother." Rose assured and walked over to the food product. "I have some milk, eggs, strawberries, potatoes, bacon, sausage, and cereal. I know it's not much but I hope it works." Rose explained. "What store does your grandma run?" Rose asked. @Flame Demon

"We runs the clothis store and some strawberries, milk and eggs will be fine" Melody says and she sighs "Business is going slow these days" she mumbles, she smiles at Rose "I hope you get more customers later"

"Thank you. I hope you and your grandmother get some customers as well." Rose said. Rose grabbed the items and rang them up. "That will be fifteen dollars please." Rose said with a smile. She had decided to lower her prices since the town was so small. "Do you need anything else?" Rose asked.

Melody hands her the money and says "No that's all" she says and adds "I need to get back to our store, hope to see you later", she leaves and heads back to the clothis store, wondering if her grandmother's up.
