backstory.

bio : Captain Hook might have been the least likely villain to ever father a kid. And yet, when Callista was born, he took her under his wings. No one has ever seen the mysterious woman, mother of this little bundle of joy, but Hook was incredibly happy that he would have a descendant and someone to leave his legacy with.

From an early childhood, Cal professed an incredible ability to learn and the second she managed to hold herself on her short legs, Hook stuck a small sword in her hand and trained her to perfection. The older Cal was, the better she got and in the end, she became a swordsman, equal to her father, which was actually a very high praise.

Inheriting the vanity and greed after her daddy dearest, Cal knew that there must have been more in the world for her than the wooden deck of Jolly Roger and the dirty streets of the Isle of Lost. She felt the need to own everything and her iron will has always helped her. In a very charismatic and suave way, she acquired a group of friends who wanted the very same thing. Isle of Lost was not big enough for several leaders and Cal gave herself a goal to be the only one.

Hook was incredibly proud of his little girl, seeing her rise to the occasion and would always be there for her, had there not been for a certain mistake. A flick in the shield. Something happened and the cunning Captain used his chance and by some luck, he and his crew managed to sail Jolly Roger away from the Isle. Ever since then, Hook was gone, leaving his daughter on the Isle but he knew that he raised her well and that she would represent the family name in the best possible way. But Cal has never felt so betrayed in her life. From that moment on, she didn’t hear from her father and even though she tried to wait and be patient, it would certainly seem that Hook was gone. And that was the event that closed Cal’s heart completely and ignited even greater greed in her.

backstory.

bio : Being born a prince has its perks. Rhys had never had many duties except looking good and being representative. But being raised by the mighty combination of gentle Rapunzel and wild Flynn resulted in having a son as wild as his father and as compassionate as his mother.

Rhys was born shortly after Rapunzel and Flynn defeated Gothel and got married. Soon, the whole family moved to Auradon and Rhys got a younger brother Finn whom he loved dearly.

Having the genes of Flynn Rider, it was only obvious that young Rhys became a true ladies man. His father saw to it that his older son had as much game as he himself and even though his mother was not really excited that her son was growing up to be a skirt chaser, there was really not much to do about it. It was in his blood anyway.

Despite his flirty nature, there is not one mean bone in his body. Rhys was always very passionate about all his hobbies and it also meant parties. Ever since he hit the age of sixteen, it was almost impossible to get him home from the Auradon clubs and bars. He spent a significant amount of time there and that’s where he met Isadora. He has never seen a more beautiful woman and he fell in love immediately. No one knew where the girl came from, she simply appeared one day and Rhys was infatuated. She looked a lot like his mother when she was young and it might be another reason why Rhys fell for her. They say boys choose their ladies based on their moms or something like that, right?

For a young almost seventeen-year-old boy, it was a big deal and Isadora, or Issy as he called her, took his heart completely. And then she left. It was the first and the last heartbreak in his life. It took Rhys a long time to recover. And for the young boy, it was only a confirmation that his lifestyle was the right one. He never dated girls for more than one night. And when he broke his own rule, the very first time, he got disappointed. From that moment on, he kept his heart locked and went on being known as the biggest flirt in Auradon.

  Britta is one of the most genuinely happy people one could hope to meet. She is kind to everyone, even when they are mean to her, and tries to find the best in everyone. She is quirky, but extremely confident, and doesn't care what people think of her. She views everyone as a friend, and doesn't believe herself to have any enemies. Britta has blinders on when it comes to much of the world's cruelties, and can often be naiive because of this. She has a habit of talking a lot, especially when she is nervous and occasionally lacks a filter. She comes off as an airhead, but mostly because people don't understand her. She isn’t the most academically inclined, and hates schoolwork, but she does have an unconventional intelligence that reveals itself in surprising ways. Britta gets by largely on her positivity and belief that everything will eventually work out somehow.
  
  While she believes in true love and that love conquers all, her mother and Aunt Elsa have also taught her that she doesn’t need a prince to save her or make her complete.   Born to Anna and Kristoff, rulers of Arendelle now under the United States of Auradon, Britta enjoyed a childhood full of love and happiness. She is the second child and eldest daughter of Anna and Kristoff, and though she takes after her mother in looks, her personality is a combination of both her parents- for better or worse. Since her older brother Tristan is in line to take over Arendelle when the time comes, Britta was able to enjoy a more carefree upbringing. After spending much of her own childhood alone, Anna wanted a big family so her children always had someone to play with.   When Milo Thatch first attempted to present his proposal for funding on a project to find the Lost City of Atlantis, he had no idea what he would be in for. The museum turned him down and, in an attempt to follow his dreams, he took a position as the lead translator of the Shepherd's Journal for a private expedition. Unfortunately, upon accidentally finding the city and the Atlanteans that inhabited it, he was sadly informed that few could read the language any longer. Nevertheless, Milo was fascinated by Princess Kidagakash Nedakh, who proceeded to show him around the city. He soon learned about the Heart of Atlantis, a large crystalline structure, and the power source responsible for keeping the city alive. The expedition followed suit, attempting to rip the Heart from the city to sell on the black market. Kida, however, bonds with the crystalline structure to save the city, nearly disappearing in the process.
  
  Unable to convince the expedition to leave the Heart be, Milo led the battle to take it back along with the Atlantean princess. Throughout his short time in the city, he had fallen in love with her as well as the people and culture. With the sad passing of her father and the King, Kida took over leadership of Atlantis as its Queen and Milo by her side as King. The pair married happily and started their family. About a year into their marriage, the pair gave birth to their firstborn son, a white-haired boy named Thaddeus after Milo's grandfather. They loved their son dearly but wanted to expand their family further, and thus had twin boys: Kash and Kai. Kida, however, remembered her mother and aspired to be just like her, wanting a daughter of their own.
  
  Milo and Kida's youngest child and only daughter was born on a gorgeous night. It was said that at the time of her birth, the full moon peeked through the rocks surrounding the city, and its light passed through the Heart, perfectly illuminating the newborn baby. The Atlanteans saw this as a positive omen, that one day Kassandra would lead them even further into the better life Milo and Kida had been building for them. And while her older brother, Thaddeus, was first in line for the throne, many Atlanteans wanted Kassandra to become queen after her parents. This was only further supported later as a child when she was discovered to have telekinetic abilities. Unfortunately, a bit of strife built within the family. Thad was angry he may no longer retain his crown and the twins were unsure of which sibling to choose between. But no one really asked Kassie what she wanted.
  
  As a child, Kassandra took largely after her father, interested in sketching and history and learning new things. She taught herself different languages, learned to read maps, and explored all around Atlantis. One day, while she was climbing around a particularly dangerous cave, a small quake shook the area. While those above ground probably weren't even affected by the movement, it loosened a few large stones from the cave walls above Kassie's head. They fell, intending to crush the small girl underneath their heavy weight. In fright, she threw up her hands and screamed. The rocks stopped in mid-air, a red aura twisting around them. Kassandra wasted no time in running away, the rocks crumbling to the ground behind her. She attempted to tell her parents what had happened, but they wouldn't believe her. After all, she had only moved small objects at that point and her aura was always the Heart's turquoise.
  
  Kassandra began to spend time attempting to replicate what had happened, to prove that she wasn't lying and that she did possess some stronger sort of power. Her behavior grew more and more reckless and impulsive to the point that her parents were no longer sure what to do with her. So, they begrudgingly sent the princess to Aurdon in an attempt to teach her while also curbing her behavior. Instead, however, Kass started to teach herself more about Atlantean crystals and cultures from the campus libraries and museums. It was important to her to learn where she came from so that maybe she could understand who she was and what she was capable of. In the ancient texts, however, there is one part that she can't seem to translate. The only words she could read on the page were something called the 'Soul of Atlantis.' What could that possibly mean?

  Lewis is a young man that is very self aware and self critical. He knows he is prone to outbursts and fits of anger like his mother, but rather than work on controlling his rage, he does everything in his power to bury all emotions. Unfortunately, anger is one of the few emotions that still escapes, while his heart remains locked away. As such, the would-be Prince of Hearts has a reputation for being heartless. A product of his environment, Lewis has a knack for getting into trouble for stealing, gambling or cheating at games, but always manages to get himself out of whatever scrape he is in. Having been born in Wonderland before being sent to the Isle of Lost as a toddler, Lewis is very paranoid that he is going to slowly lose his mind and go mad. His paranoia is only justified further by his tendency to talk to someone who isn’t there (Jack), and his increasingly frequent fits of laughter at the simplest of jokes. While the latter may be from him learning to enjoy life having made a group of friends, Lewis fears he is going insane and is very self conscious about it.

  Lewis has spent most of his life in exile with those deemed villains by the King and Queen of Auradon. However, he is firmly under the belief that his family was wrongly trapped there due to his mother’s mental illness. The Queen of Hearts is widely thought to be a cruel Queen who beheaded countless of her subjects- guilty or innocent. However, while the Queen’s rage, impatience and quick judgement are horrible qualities indeed, she was not the murderer that rumors led people to believe. Yes, she liberally shouted “Off with his head”, but before any sentences were ever carried out, The King of Hearts was either able to talk sense to the Queen or pardoned the condemned before they lost their head. However, the Queen’s reputation was enough to earn her and her family a place on the Isle of Lost, despite the good nature of the King, and the innocence of their two sons. The Queen wasn’t a monster like she was painted out to be, she was struggling with mental health. And rather than getting her help, she and her family were cast away.
  
  The King of Hearts did the best he could to keep peace within the family, and to keep the Queen stable, but it was difficult to maintain hope when deemed a villain. The Queen soon became volatile and inconsolable and the King slowly went mad, unable to see the woman he once loved disappear. The ultimate tragedy struck the family though when their eldest son disappeared and they cracked beyond repair.

  Jack was Lewis’s older brother, born less than two years before him. The two brothers were extremely close, relying on each other to get through life on the Isle of Lost. They both feared their mother, loved their father, and tried to avoid everyone else on the island. As young children, Jack and Lewis were genuinely good kids caught up in a bad neighborhood. They were the heroes of their own story, battling the temptation of darkness and evil. However, that all changed on Lewis’s 10th birthday. The Queen of Hearts had actually made some tarts for her son, and had left them by the window to cool. However, before they could celebrate, the tarts went missing, and the Queen became enraged. She blamed Jack for eating the tarts and lost her temper, crying “off with his head” to her own son. Terrified, Jack ran away from home, and never returned. The King of Hearts and Lewis searched high and low for Jack, but they never found any trace of him. They assumed the worst since they were on an island of villains. After Jack’s disappearance, Lewis was heartbroken and made two promises to himself. The first being that he would try his hardest to not lose himself to his anger the way his mother had, and the second being that he would never get close to anyone in fear of feeling the same kind of loss and pain again. And so, Lewis’s road to the young man he is today began when his brother’s path ended.
  
  At the age of sixteen, Lewis got the Jack of Hearts tattooed on his back in tribute to his brother. However, all those in Auradon make the mistake of thinking that Lewis is the Jack of Hearts now that he has been allowed to leave the Isle of Lost.

  -Illusion Manipulation: After finding his mother's ring, Antony can extend his emotional manipulation into full-blown illusions, not only creating the feeling of something but also the visuals associated with that feeling. In a way, it's a personalized bend of reality, at least for a moment.

  The Moors were a faraway land home to many different types of magical creatures and fairies. There was no central kingdom, but the land remained peaceful. Maleficent was the most powerful of all the creatures in that land, even at a very young age. Because of this, she was orphaned, unsure of whom or what her true family was. Nevertheless, the creatures of the Moors were her family and, as she grew older, respected and cared for her as their equal. In a nearby land, King Stefan and his wife, Queen Leah were monarchs over their own kingdom, forcing some into poverty and helping others. Eventually, they wanted to expand their kingdom into the Moor, attempting to break in with weapons and armor.
  
  The creatures of the Moors elected a now young adult Maleficent as their protector, providing her a woodland army to fight off their opponents. And for a while, she was able to hold them at bay. But then, a particular soldier caught her attention. In the heat of battle, she witnessed the soldier clandestinely helping injured Moors creatures to somewhat safety. Maleficent couldn't believe that a human would so selflessly protect those that he was supposed to be fighting against. King Stefan's army inevitably retreated, leaving their dead and dying behind without a care. So, when she found him injured and near death, Maleficent transported him away from the field further into the Moors for safety and healing.
  
  The soldier's name was Frederick, a peasant in King Stefan's kingdom. He was drafted into the army without his consent and wanted nothing more than to escape from it. In the beginning, he was terrified of Maleficent. But she was gentle and kind to him, helping to heal him and get him back on his feet from such a grave injury. They began to fall in love and, after a few months, he was considered one of the Moors. Frederick wasn't a fairy or a magical creature, merely a human. But he treated everyone with such kindness that they all loved him. King Stefan's army didn't return for some time, and they thought that the worst was over. So, after a few months, the pair were expecting their first child. But, little did they know, things were far from over.
  
  Just after the birth of their son, Antony, Frederick was out patrolling with other Moors guards and was ambushed by the King's guard. They were captured and taken away to King Stefan, who promptly ordered Frederick to be put to death for treason. Before Maleficent could do anything to stop it, he was killed. Enraged but unable to retaliate due to her infant son, she vowed she would take away what the king loved most and cast a curse on his firstborn child. Without their leaders, the Moors fell to disrepair and eventually collapsed. From that point on, it was just Antony and his mother.
  
  Maleficent locked them away in an abandoned castle, leaving Antony to fend for himself. She planned her revenge down to the letter and waited, slowly descending into madness. Tony effectively raised himself, teaching himself to hunt and gather for food, and directing the few loyal Moors creatures the milled about the castle in hopes that Maleficent would take control once again. He attempted to understand the magic his mother possessed, tried to use it too. But found that his only real power was being incredibly persuasive. Eventually, King Stefan and Queen Leah had a baby girl named Aurora. Maleficent had been preparing for this day. But so had King Stefan.
  
  After a fiery battle full of bloodshed and death, King Stefan drove his iron sword through a dragon Maleficent's heart, effectively killing her. Her body fell from the sky into a cavern below, never to be recovered. Because of his mother's transgressions, Antony was banished to the Isle of the Lost to live his life alone in poverty. He despises the monarchies that control the kingdoms and wants to usurp them. After all, if the Moors could live so long without leadership and be peaceful, why couldn't the rest of the kingdoms? Those that were in charge did not deserve to be and needed to be knocked down a peg.

  Arianna was born to her mother, Tinkerbell, and an unknown man. After dealing with the loss of Peter Pan to Wendy, Tinkerbell lost her motivation. She never ended up in a serious relationship, unable to move on from her feelings for Peter. Not exactly a villain, despite her rocky past with Wendy, Tink was allowed to stay in Auradon when the King and Queen banished all of the villains to the Isle of the Lost.
  
  It wasn't much longer after that that Arianna arrived. The pregnancy had been a surprise to Tinkerbell, but she never told the father. It's rumored that she doesn't even know who the father is, and these are rumors that Ari has heard all of her life. Growing up, Tink wasn't very affectionate towards Arianna. She ended up making Arianna into a mini version of herself-- stubborn, demanding, and codependent.
  
  As the little awkward Arianna started to grow into herself and her abilities, she quickly rose up in the ranks of the other kids in Auradon. Though her mother was far from rich, and they didn't live in the nicest house or any of that, Arianna had what she wanted: attention from the other kids. But attention and affection are far from the same thing, and though she won't admit it out loud, its really affection that she wants.
  
  Though Arianna doesn't have the "big house" to host parties at or the money to make sure everyone enjoys a party, she's definitely a social girl. In fact, Arianna prefers not to spend time at her house, choosing to spend most of her time out. When she first entered high school, Tinkerbell became jealous of the attention her own daughter was getting, and would cause a scene whenever she could. Showing up at parties, getting drunk and wild, almost wanting to relive her younger days. So now Arianna just tries to avoid her.

  Beckett was born from the infamous sea witch, Ursula, and an unknown man. A father he never knew, and never would. The man was obviously not interested in being a father, and Ursula never gave any hint as to who he might be. As far as she was concerned, he was the mistake, not Beckett. She was thrilled to have a son, someone to carry on her legacy, someone who could perhaps do what she was never able to: control the seas.
  
  From a young age, Beckett showed drive and initiative to do just that. He was a troubled child, though his mother never saw him that way. She protected him as though he were the perfect little angel, which to her, he was. He was everything she saw in her future, and once he took over the seas, they could rule together and live comfortably. Of course, these dreams all got smashed to bits when the villains were sentence to the isle.
  
  Ursula became even angrier, and Beckett started to work at her restaurant, which was not a dream either of them had. He felt defeated there for a while, but when some of the VK's got a chance to go to Auradon, he grew ecstatic again. This was his chance to prove to his mother that he could do what she wanted. It's been a year and he hasn't had a chance to do any of their plan, but now that he's been chosen for this trip with the others, he thinks he might have a shot.
