This is a place where you can come if you feel like having deep conversations about certain topics which you or I can bring up. I love deep conversations about all topics like war, tyranny, oppression, depression, meaning of life, purpose, etc. If any of those seem interesting then please start a conversation about it <img alt=" " data-emoticon="" height="20" src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile.png" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" title=" " width="20" /> Or even if there are other topics that I haven't listed then please bring them up! I'll try to open two topics here, both related to myself and my experiences and miseries.


Depression is difficult. I have suffered with it for almost a decade now, with severe patches. Many people don't quite know how to deal with those who are depressed, which is the main reason we don't like to go out or be around friends.


I'm also gay and receive criticism for that, though I don't let it push me down. I have a bisexual (though she prefers homosexual relationships) friend who is still in-the-closet due to the oppression our group receives, and I'm not going to push her to be as open as I am.

I have a couple of suggestions/notes for this thread, just to help you guys out and avoid any potential concerns.


1) I would move this into the personal discussion forum because that would a more appropriate area for serious topics: Personal Discussion


2) Discussions about these specific topics are not directly prohibited, but it's easy to see how people might quickly get offended or things might get out of hand. SO, if you plan on continuing the line of discussion in the Personal Discussion forum, I would suggest taking a look at what the rules have to say about the topic so you're clear.


This is what the rules say:


"Users should respect the wishes of other members while using private messages or the site's public forums. If a member asks another user to stop talking about a specific topic within a thread or in a private conversation, the topic of discussion should be switched or the conversation should move to another section of the site. This guideline is not to give users permission to shut down a conversation just because they do not like the topic. Instead, it is to prevent conversations that upset or unease other members who are involved. Topics that can be told to stop can include but are not limited to: sexuality, gender identity, religion, politics, philosophy, ideology, theology, or trigger topics (e.g. murder, sex, drug addiction). If users are asked to stop, they have the option to move their discussion to another area on RpNation. Starting a thread about the topic in question or continuing the discussion within a private conservation are both viable methods if the topic is allowed by RpNation Site Rules."


Finally, know that I am not staff, nor do I claim to be authoritative in anyway. I just wanted to make sure you guys were aware of the rules regarding sensitive topics, especially since you're both pretty new. I'm also not reprimanding or scolding you. Just trying to be helpful. Most importantly, have fun.
