What is a death churchian and why would I want to be one?
A death churchian/demon reaper, is someone who tries to purify the demon realm, the nether. They are currently working on expanding the cities. Besides If you are a death churchian, you are able to use magic, go to the mortal world. And pretty much do whatever you want. Well only if permitted.
If angels and demons are real, what are they like?
Well angels actually live in the aether, the holy realm. But they aren't so nice to people that aren't like them. Quiet rude and snobby. I wouldn't want anyone to have to meet one in it's realm, they fight others a lot actually. Especially the lords.
Demons are much more human then angels than you think. They think like us, they sometimes look like us. Well not really like us. like humans. If you had to choose between demons and angels. Go with the demons, At least then you have a chance to survive if you don't know how to fight.
Is this an Abrahamic universe or something else entirely?
I have no idea what that means. But this takes place in a universe like ours, except it branches. At july 8th, 2007; things change for one person, he becoming the original Demon reaper/Death churchian. So you could say this also takes place in the future. While taking place in a different universe.

You learn how to curse demons, to hurt them over time. not strong enough to kill.
Soldier
You learned how to shoot death guns. But not how to carry them on yourself. with your scythe.
You can now wield death guns, much more stylish. you can only use a gun or a scythe right now though.
Soldier (Badged)
You are now experienced in military combat. Nothing much to say.
No powers gained this time.
Soldier (Ranking)
You are a master of combat, but you still have a lot of flaws. Maybe even some PTSD.
You can now heal allies
Officer
You now command a military of your own. Nice.
No powers gained.
Commander
You now control a whole army of soldiers.
You gain powers to hit multiple targets. ( at the same time.)
Army Lord
You control all the army corps.
You can now revive you allies.
Cult Recruit
You had to go beyond the military, to get more power.
You learned how to use killing dark magic.
Cult Mage
You learned the dark arts of voodoo
You can now revive others. as zombie servants ( as in things you kill).
Cult Ritualist
You learned how to serve the spirits, and tame them.
You can now hit even more people with your magic, and weapons.
Cult Leader
You are a cult leader. You worship who you want, when you want ( except satan and "god." they are dead. )
You have all the dark magics available now. Now to learn some different magic. Elemental magic.
