Shina had woken up late, which was quite unusual for her. Usually she was up and ready by seven, but today she woke up to see the clock reading eight.
She did a double take, and then jumped out of bed, tripping on the blanket in her haste.
"Shit." She muttered, standing as she rubbed her knee, which had taken most of the fall.
She wasn't late or clumsy usually, but apparently today was going to be interesting.
Quickly grabbing some clean clothes from her closet, Shina made her way to the bathroom to shower.
Work didn't start until nine, thank God, which gave her plenty of time to shower and get ready.
She would at least look presentable.
After washing and shaving, Shina got out and put her robe on, then began to blow dry her hair.
She never let it stay wet, since that wasn't very attractive.
Twenty minutes later, her hair was ready to be put up into it's usual bun, and she got dressed.
Today she'd chosen a simple white button up shirt with a black pencil skirt, and a pair of Prada heels.
It was now eight thirty, so she slipped on some lip gloss, eyeliner, and brown eyeshadow, and then left her bathroom, making sure to grab her purse on the way out.
Luckily for her, she had a personal driver to bring her to work. Courtesy of her father, of course.
Arriving at work, Shina entered the building and took the elevator to the third floor, where she worked.
Taking a seat at her desk, she set her bag down and turned her computer on, waiting for her boss to arrive and tell her what they were doing today.

L had meant to be looking through his actual work files, but he'd gotten sidetracked, something that wasn't usual for him.
But when it came to Alice, nothing was usual.
He hadn't slept, as usual, and had been up all night, eating cake and drinking tea, and he'd been curious to see what she'd been up to.
He'd had her file brought to him, and he'd been up since then, reading it.
She had always been something unusual in his life, and his feelings towards here were complicated.
He wasn't sure how to handle them.
Usually, he tried to push thoughts of her aside, but for some reason, today, he couldn't.
So, here he was, looking at her file, a piece of cake on a plate next to him, untouched for once.
