-lysaur valley-
-ten years later-

It has been ten years since the lysaur valley has expanded their biodome. They house over millions and millions of people who once lived outside the earth. After the great war there has been times of peace among the U.S., Britania, Africa, Japan, and now the Brazilian Factions. They inhabit different parts of the Earth expanding and trying to repopulate the new faced Earth over the years. Beasts and ghouls still lie on the outside and the people have learned to cope with them. The Android beings still left to their peace and comfort. All along the Earth surface people are starting to rebuild and recreate what they destroyed long long ago. The Crimson Canines during the time of peace was disbanded and all the warriors among the group and even with the Amber Fox faction have been relieved of their duties. Men and women now able to create lives of their own on the beautiful land. Real soil. Real crop growing all made possible with the rapid expansion of technology there lied several massive cities undergoing construction to support more life all over. There has been no war against each other. Now only war among the creatures that challenge them on a daily basis outside the protection of the biodome. The only ways in are through way points set up on all the cities borders. These domes have been holding up well to the outside world with the toxic air with purification systems and ways to filter water incoming through the city and using much of the underground sources. much changes are now becoming profitable and worth it. Occupation: 5 million.

-Britania Mothership City-
-Britania nation capitol, Britania City-
-Ten Years Later-

The Britania nation landed their mothership rather than deciding to send the people that lived inside to earth. They built their nation around the mothership with one massive biodome covering the ship and the entire city inside as well. They now focus mostly on expanding property in the britian country that once fell to the age of the years gone by. The people mostly thrive of factories producing trade and building materials through mills, mines, and foresting. They also now have skyline planting technology where the whole cities vegetation and food grow on top the buildings which everyone occupies. Humanity here is very advanced compared to the rest of the world in addition creating banks outside the mothership and even people opting to stay in their original homes and apartments inside the mothership. Inside the command center lies their government buildings which have all been converting to running their growing nation. Occupation 3 million.

-Manchine Desert/Town of Manchine-

The Town of Manchine is another town. Yet this one is a bit different. Being on top of an underground water source much like the town of Lake Batoo, They are able to survive outside of the biodome. This town was built by the poor and poverty of the motherships. The entire lower class sent to this area from the U.S. mothership via smaller transport ships as an experiment to live outside the biodome and see how life can thrive in such a inhospitable. The city lives mostly underground with their building protruding from the ground where the main city strip is located. ALong with this they are surrounded by rock formations which help against the beasts that occupy the land. They are slowly establishing an economy but due to the harsh weather and environments mining is becoming very tough to provide their number one element of trade and economical growth. The city contains the most criminals, low class citizens and mostly people who tried to freeload off the motherships system. The quality of life is relatively lower and money and food are harder to come by due to difficulty of growing cash crops and massive farming. Population: 20,000

Grey finished working on another piece of recovery equipment for a local. It was to help aid in the traveling and transportation of minerals they were mining locally. It was an hour drive to get to the mines. A dangerous route. During this path many turned to crime to get the goods and sell them on the black market back to local shops and outside sources. He rigged in a basic artillery cannon along with smoke screen to help keep the enemies at bay long enough to get them out.

Upon getting back to his clients he was busy all day. Owning a shop wasn't easy and on top of that it wasn't easy dealing with all the shit that was constantly going down in the Manchine town. There was rape, murders, and theft on a daily basis. However this was minor compared to what was out there. Law enforcement was getting hired more and more and it still wasn't enough. The small government that ran the city was trying their best but it just wasn't enough. grey was grinding away at a final element to finish the scout rig. He removed his goggles and a large fan blew on his hot sweaty face. He was in a greasy tattered tank top and reach over with his tattooed covered arm to grab the soda in the massive steal mug filled to the brim with ice and a long straw and slugged down the cool liquid. He sighed with satisfaction covering his once dry lips now moist from the sugary cold beverage. He heard banging on his shop door which was half lowered to keep the hot breeze from blowing into his shop only leaving it halfway open just to see the feet that entered his shop.
"Im coming Im coming."
He lifted the metal gate. It was 3 men. "grey! My man. It all done?"
Grey nodded inviting them inside as they looked at the work. They were impressed. "Upgraded armor. New motor, Swapped out smoke launchers. The mines wont be tough to deal with now."

"Ah yes and you know how bad its been getting out there. The Canaments killed a group of youngans on their way out last night."
Grey shook his head. "How?"
"Typical ambush. We been trying to rid this group for a while now but they keep fucking up everything in our city. Every time someone tries to stop them they just keep slipping through the cracks."

Grey scratched his chin listening close. "Im sure its nothing we can do except prepare for the worst and this will work great." He slapped the machine on the massive 52 inch tire it was loaded up with.

They shook hands and begun to do their business trade. Greys shop specialized in shit like this he was usually always busy with a client. Most the time it was the mine owners and managers that had the hardest time. The ore they dug from the earth in the rocky outcrops were perfect or refining into extremely tough building materials. It was named Stactite ore by the locals and greatly was growing in building material to other cities and towns all over. The world became alot smaller and more spread out over the last ten years. By 4 wheel vehicle it was still a 4 day trip to any majoy city. They occupied the desert valley over the mountain ranges of what once was western america. They were in a deserty area along with some baren dried up forest and rocky outcrops. all water was underground with no streams to use. Outside assistance never happened. This was how they survived. They were on their own.

The scout started up and left over the next 5 minutes. Grey walked up into the lounge area where his friend was sitting on the couch. He heard the convorsation from the other room where they were talking since the whole shop carried echoes. His name was Gears. A local mechanic as well who ended up partnering up with Grey to run the shop. "Get off your fucking ass Gears. You run this place to."

He groaned and sat up before stretching than standing up completely. "What dude." He said man of few words it seemed just now.

"You hear that guy?" Grey asked.

"Yea. Something about another killing."

Grey nodded and walked over to him signalling him to follow him.

"What is it?"

"Cmon now, goo things come to those who wait." Grey said leading him to the back of his shop where in the storage yard he had a massive shed set up. They opened it up and clicked the lights. It wasnt built very well but it got the job done. "He said Cannement killed some of the miners."

"yea so? You think it was really them? Or just a random rag tag group making a quick come up?" Gears said.

Grey hit the last lights and illuminated the object of interest. It stood 25 feet high and almost touched the roof of the shed in a still silent standing position. It had no hands. Instead it had 2 massive chainsaw like attachments. Along with it had two large tanks on its back that looked like almost jet turbines from a ship. The machine was covered in paints and dents and rusted metal.

"Im thinking Cannament needs to pay a visit to the Chopshop..."

-2am middle of the desert-

The group banded together in the middle of the night. This night was when they were supposed to be sending a massive shipment of stactite ore back to the city where it would be shipped off and sold. Of course Cannament was probably planning on being here. They hid in the rocky outcrops off the main trail that was traveled through the sand. It was slightly windy but no dust was being blown. Chopshop sat up in the outcrops along with 4 other mechs armed by Greys allies. They were all called on this mission to protect and destroy the enemy and send a message once more that this town was not for them. The hardest part about trying to scout and track down this group was that they were all secret. Men and women in the terrorist groups layed very low and did a great job at hiding their identities, They all used alias names and did business in secret. The only time it was able to track and destroy them were suring these convoys it had been almost a month since they had heard from the group. Grey figured they were trying to lie low for the mean time. They watched for what felt like hours into the night as the moon was half full. The night was cold but everyone was warm inside their mechs and scouts. grey not only built scouts for his people. he was slowly arming them with mechs one by one to help aid the battle between the cannament. The forces werent easy to deal with. And considering they all were armed and always ordered to kill on site just made it that much tougher. The group had planted mines that were ready to be blown up by gears with one of his armenents. Small bunker buster style weapons that he had ready to blow but only when the innocent had passed. Grey sighed in his mech.

"Any sign Hotshot?"

The girls voice replied. "Nothing yet....."

The night continued "here comes the convoy." Hotshot replied.

The convoy was about 15 deep alot of scouts to manage all with loaded trailers they were towing. As they came into view the waited for the enemy to pounce it was like a jack in the box waiting to pop out at any minute. This area was bound to be where they were planning to strike. As they begun to pass through all the fighters were on edge. Yet nothing happened.

"Where are they?" Gears asked.

Grey grew frustrated. "I dont know....."

No interruptions happened as the convoy made its way past them all. It was eerie and quiet. This wasn't right. Something wasn't right. There was something they had to be missing, Why would they not attack here. It was the perfect place and on top of it it was where they striked the other night which was told by an inside bird at the mines.

grey stood his mech up as the convoy had a safe passage.

"Well looks like they are safe for the night." Gears said.

Grey thought for a moment. The group begun to vanish further and further away.

They all recollected on the group channel. "whats going on they should have striked already."

"I dont know maybe they missed them or took a different route." Hotshot said. "I cant see anything."

"Well clearly they arent in any danger right here. Perhaps we should just wrap it up." Gears said.

Grey thought. 'why would they leave a prize on the table like this. If they struck one scout over some diamonds and killed the innocent it doesnt make sense why they would not go after the group this big. No law enforcement would ever be this far from manchine. It didnt make sense.

They decided to follow the group back from a distance. They were out of eyesight and could only be seen if the scouts stopped and waited for the dust behind them to clear. Alot of dust provided a smokescreen for them to tag behind on. they finally were making their way to the main trading gates to the shipping yards in Manchine where the product would be distributed. The made their way behind the outcrop to make sure the passage was safe for the convoy. The guards being viewed the size of cockroaches through the teams binoculars. They were being stopped. This didnt add up. A few of the people were asked to step out of the vehicle. grey tilted his head.

"What are the guards thinking? They never stop mining convoys like that." gears asked.

Hotshot nodded in her mech as well. "That doesn't make sense at all. Only time they stop and search like this is when something is fishy about the cargo and this group is totally from the mines. No one else comes that way to begin with."

'What would they be thinking. First they dont attack. Then they dont get attacked the whole way back to Manchine. Then they are stopped and questioned by the guards. Something isn't adding up-'

A guard drew his laser gun. grey zoomed in on it. he was arresting the group. in the first truck. Followed by a group of guards making their way to each and every vehicle asking them all to leave. WITH FORCE!

"The guards are in disguise!!" Grey vaulted out from cover as gunshots in the distance went off. and scouts hidden from behind the gates all pulled out with more men inside.

"THE GUARDS ARE THE CANNEMENT!!!!"

Connor sat at his desk, blankly staring at a sheet of paper that told him of some meeting or another that he had to attend for some reason that would talk about nothing. That meeting had taken place that morning, and now he was left with absolutely nothing else to do. Setting the sheet of paper down, he leans forward to inspect his desk toys and wind back a ball bearing to get the Newton's Cradle going just so there was some noise in his stale, if prominent, office. He even got the bobber bird, the one that drinks water, going again. After ten years of being in that office he had added quite a lot of knick knacks to it all, and so he went about the task of sending everything into motion to alleviate the boredom of having nothing to do. But once he did that, he once again had nothing to do.

So after sitting for half a minute in the miniature mayhem that was his office, he walked to his door and stuck his head out. "Aila," he said to the secretary sitting outside his office, "is there anything that needs to be done?" He still couldn't believe he had a secretary. But he guessed it's just what came with being a high ranking member of the now disbanded Crimson Canines. Well, his rank hadn't completely transferred over with him once they disbanded, but he guessed it was enough.

"Sorry, honey, nothing for you to do." Said the attractive woman as she looked at her nails. "But I did hear that there was going to be an inspection of some backwater test city called Manchine. The aircraft they got for it is going to take off in about half an hour. I'll tell anyone who comes to see you that you're taking a short break. Will seeing the family work?"

"That'll work just fine. Thank you Aila." Though it was still strange to have a secretary, it certainly he it's perks he thought as he quickly packed up for a surprise visit to Manchine town. As he walked out the door, brief case in hand so as to avoid to much suspicion, he couldn't help but wonder if he needed to bring anything else. Maybe a gun? No, he wouldn't need a gun. It was just an inspection. There wouldn't be any fighting. They'd still give him a vest though, and maybe a pistol. But he didn't expect much to happen while he was at Manchine, he was just glad he could sneak out of the office.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The flight to Manchine was uneventful, as expected. But at least the pilot was one of Pequad's pupils, as was obvious by the pin-up painted on the sliding door. That meant the pilot would at least talk to him. And she had that laid back attitude Pequad's pilots were beginning to be known for, as if flying was just as natural as breathing to them. He personally wouldn't be as comfortable about it as she was, but he was happy to know that he wouldn't have to jump out of a perfectly good aircraft like what he had to do his first mission with the Canines.
Speaking of missions, this was going to be a rather simple one in the whole grand scheme of things. There were reports of bandit groups becoming bolder in their attacks. One group in particular seemed to stand out. The Cannement. No one has seen them, knows where there base might even be, and from what he can gather they haven't even been shot at yet. They were supposed to put a couple under cover agents in and find what they can. And he had volunteered himself to be one of those agents. And once the aircraft touched down, he disappeared as if he was never there to begin with. It was a lot easier then sneaking around in the Brotherhood's main base that was for sure.
Once he was away from everyone, a pistol securely strapped and hidden under his shirt, he meandered around town looking for something that looked suspicious. Well he knew a guy that worked at a mechanic shop, maybe he knew something? So he wove his way through the crowd, slowly but surely making his way towards the shop. Upon arrival, he knocks on the door and waits for someone to appear. "Gears!" he shouted, just to make sure the right person would show up.
And sure enough, a tired and disheveled Gears appeared, shirtless and holding his pants up with one hand. "Who the hell is it?" he asked before turning a light on and seeing Connor standing there. "Oh shit, it's you. Couldn't you have called first?" Suddenly, Gears was much more awake then what he had just been. It was almost as if someone had given him a whole pot of coffee and a bag of sugar to boot.
"Surprise visit. Job stuff. You know how it is." Connor said, smiling and shaking the man's now offered hand. "So I got a couple questions I need to ask you. Got a moment?"
"Yeah I got a moment. It isn't even morning, nobody's come in for anything yet."
"Good, because I'm here to solve a couple problems. And remember, I was never here. So what do you know about the Cannement? We've heard you've been having some problems with them. But the thing is, we don't know much about them. Can you help us with that?"
"Are you saying I'm a Cannement?"
"I'm saying you'd know more about them since you live here then someone who doesn't."
"Well I don't know much either. All I know is that there's a lot of them, maybe. That's the only reason why I think they can get away with the shit they've done...."
The conversation went on like this for several minutes with little progress made. In the end Connor was still in the dark on who and what the Cannement were beyond some bandit group stealing from people so they can line their own pockets. "Thanks, Gears. I'll buy you a drink next time I visit."
"Or you can just leave the money for a drink here. It'd be as if you bought me the drink now."
"Sorry, left my wallet at home."
"Of course you have."
Nyala was in a lysaur valley hanger bay near her mech doing some maintenance on her drones, can't be too careful with them. If they malfunction on the field it would most likely never be recovered and she wouldn't get a replacement until she got to a major city. The hanger itself was as busy as ever and the crew were busy refitting her mech when she got a call from her superior.
"We have a light contract for you, help a small merchant convoy to the remote town of Manchine, the town isn't of much use but establishing a secure trade route should help the folks there out."
"My Mech isn't ready." She looked up at the gods eye which was having its arm refitted.
"i know but they're in a hurry, and this should be an easy one, just find away to the town and avoid all the nasty wildlife."
Nyala frowned. "Affirmative"
She reassembled her little drone and walked back to her quarters reluctantly to get her equipment ready. Going without her mech would increase risk which wasn't something she'd like. With a sigh she walked off to the merchant convoy who were waiting for her, couldn't they give her a few hours of notice? With her suit on and her HUD up she got basic profiles of all merchants and body guards. One of the merchants, one Jacob Servosky. Apparently the leader of this little expedition, born in manchine, and more arbitrary information. over all not important. He spotted her in her OSS and got out of one of the large trucks.
"Are you our scout?"
Nyala did a half salute toward the man. "Private Nyala reporting for duty"
"they sent, a private?"
"im good at my job"
"if you say so, you might want to put away those guns though, our load can only carry on another person with you and that suit might barely make it, we're taking a rumored safe route anyway so i doubt you'd need them"
"And you wont cause we're here!" One of the guards yelled down from a truck and the rest laughed with him.
Nyala's jaw dropped at the absurdity that came out of the mans mouth, either he was abnormally and irrationally trust worthy of her, or he is absolutely insane. The latter of which she thought was most plausible, she thought about abandoning this "job" but soon decided that doing so wont get her anywhere promotion wise. after putting her weapons away, thinking about how she better get a raise of some sort after this, she walked back to the convoy. Jacob was there smiling and showing her the quarters of where she will stay for the majority of the ride.
It was a cramped cargo compartment but with a desk and some filing cabinets filled to the brim with outdated maps all filled with scribbles of routes toward Manchine. The maps seemed to be over half a decade with inaccuracies. Nyala pulled her visor down. "you've got to be kidding me."
-1:30 am middle of the desert-
After a few days of travel, taking extensive care of which routes to take, close encounters with wildlife, and the occasional mockery that Jacobs crew liked to tease her with. They'd finally gotten within a "few" miles of their destination it seemed that the bodyguard crew were more alert than usual. Nyala naturally curious "jumped" to truck the captain of the bodyguard crew should be. Upon finding him her HUD told her his name was Keikallan, he watching the cameras and was unphased by her sudden appearance in his truck.
"whats going on? i havent seen your crew this alert since i reported about a sharkwolf pack nearby."
"Hm? Oh," He stretched as if he'd been staring at the cameras for hours. "This area had a few bandit attacks recently"
Nyala gave him a straight face, how did she not know this? Why hasnt anyone told her about it?! "Why didnt you tell me?! i couldve gotten us a better route!"
"Relax, bandits couldnt have too much firepower. this is the biggest convoy to reach manchine. We also got a double job of taking out the bandits once and for all."
Nyala stared at the overly confident man was there something that he wasn't tell her? she'd seen the weaponry of the guards and they were exactly impressive With a frown she felt like there wasnt anything else she needed to ask him then started to get out of the truck and grabbing one of the guard's pistol. Before he stopped her
"Hey"
Nyala looked at the man with a irritated face.
"Keep an eye out" he smiled at her and did a pistol hand to shoot at her.
Unamused She quickly jumpped out of the truck. Not knowing what to think and how much of a risk this actually was, standing on top of the truck and attempting to calm herself down, a few guards looked at her but most were busy looking out for bandits. She then threw a few drones into the air, they quickly stopped in mid air and started to do some scouting of the area.
Nyala had jumped back to her "quarters" and decided that it was probably best to be in a mostly empty truck and not one where the bandits would want to shoot up. It wasn't long after that did one of the drones spotted five mechs off in the distance trailing behind the convoy. could these be the bandits? Quickly she got up only for the truck she was in to stop, this made her stagger for a second and she recalled her drones to close proximity recon. The guards stopped the convoy? Did they see the mechs too? But they were making jacobs come out? It wasnt until one of the guards with drew a pistol did Nyala realized what was happening. They werent guards.
"For gods sake, I can feel the cold biting me through my suit!" Alexandria complained. It was her first real mission, and she was being sent to an unbearably cold cave located in the northern most point of someplace once called Greenland. It was anything but green. She didn't understand why it wasn't called Iceland, or something more suitable. Scanners had found that there was an abundance of rare raw materials deep below the ground in the area. A team of four, including Alexandria, were dispatched by Rogue Coyote to confirm the readings. The mission was assumed to be a safe and simple mission, but precautions were to be taken nevertheless.
"Private, it would be best if you did not complain, and focus on your footing. It seems that we are beginning to slowly descend," stated the squad leader, Anton. He was a well hardened soldier who was more than happy to take Alexandria along on the mission. Alexandria nodded, "Understood." The cave entrance had been coated in a thick and slippery layer of ice, leading to Alexandria receiving a large bruise on her backside. As the group of four plodded along for nearly fifteen minutes, drops of water began to fall from the ceiling. They began to step in puddles, and Alexandria's visor began to fog up. The dark grey and brown rock of the cave walls became visible. The ceiling and floor were a darker grey than the walls. "It seems we've descended quite a ways," one of the squad members said. "We've still got a long ways down to go Virgil," Anton said quickly. The slope had suddenly begun to get steeper, and the wetness made the way down quite precarious. The group turned on their helmet lights, illuminating the bland cave walls. Not a single sign of life.
The group eventually had to resort to their rock climbing gear to continue descending, as the slope had abruptly taken a ninety degree angle downwards, leading to the warm darkness below. "Watch your footing Alexandria, and stay balanced," Anton advised as he descended. His glove covered hand grabbing tight onto a convenient handhold. Alexandria was nearly ten meters above the rest of the group. Rock climbing wasn't her specialty. "Yes, yes, I remember how to rock climb," Alexandria responded, rolling her eyes as she struggled to find a place to put her feet. "Hold," Anton said suddenly. Everyone halted, not taking a breath. A quiet constant clicking noise softly repeated in the darkness below. Alexandria shuddered gently. "Weapons ready," Anton commanded. Alexandria and the other squadmates quickly got their weapons ready, before scanning the surrounding area with their helmet lights. Anton grabbed his rifle off of his back and began to scan the surround cave walls, finding nothing but the usual dark gray rock. He looked straight down. "I can see the bottom. Let's pick up the pace."
Five minutes later, Alexandria finally touched flat ground. The way back was going to be a pain. The group raised their weapons, observing their new surroundings. The black dark grey rocks were no longer deprived of life. Alexandria wiped her hands on the wall, a thick green goo covered her fingers. "Gross," she whispered. "Keep quiet," Anton commanded quickly. Rolling her eyes again, Alexandria looked back at the way they came, noticing something about the wall they had descended. Hundreds of thin grooves were roughly scraped into the wall, most being made vertically. Some rock climbing gear still remained attached to the wall. "Uh Anto-" Alexandria began before being interrupted. "Alexandria, get over here and look at this," Anton said. It sounded urgent. Alexandria hurried over, stepped in puddles of green goo. This cave room was quite large, being at least fifty meters to the ceiling, which curved downwards to where they entered. Anton and the two other squad members were staring up at the ceiling. Alexandria looked up as well. Giant green leaves protruded from green vase like plants that hung upside down on the ceiling. They were big enough to hold a person. "What the hell are those?" Alexandria asked. The clicking noise had suddenly began to get louder. "No clue," Anton answered, "But I have a feeling whatever is making that clicking noise is getting closer. The soldier named Virgil pointed upwards. "They're starting to sway," he stated in awe. Alexandria looked back up at the plants, only to see the gaping green mouth falling down on her.
The Lysaur Valley Maximum Security Prison was not the largest of all the prisons in the Lysaur Valley, but it was the most secure. Housing the worst of the worst, murderers, rapists, terrorists, and the like all where kept within its walls. This was also the same place Degan Walsh currently resided in. Laying on his back in a 10ft by 10ft cell with minimal accommodation drumming his fingers on his the ground. Today was the day he got left out, not that he had been in for along time or that he had done something every wrong.
"Ha! That arrogant jerk deserved it." Degan said to himself thinking back to an incident two months prior. He had been at a bar, drinking alone, when a man tried to cut in. The result was Degan spilled his beer, jumping up from the bar stool Degan placed his hand on the mans shoulder, spun him around, and popped him in the face. The result was that Degan had assaulted a Crimson Canines officer who was not too pleased. After a small fight, the cops came and arrested Degan.
The sound of boots clicking on a metal floor was barely audible through the large doors that made up on whole of one side of Degans cell. Sitting up, Degan made his way to his feet and awaited the arrival of his captors.
When the doors opened with a low grind, Degan was standing there with a stupid grin on his face. "Well about time you boys got here." His smile was wasted on the pair of large men clad in grey shirts with black cargo pants and black combat boots. One was older with graying hair on the side of his head, and the other was a younger man with brown hair and solid build.
"come one Degan, we wana get this over with." said the older man.
"Of course" Smiled Degan as he extended his arms and waited a few seconds before the restraints where placed on his wrists. After a shot walk and a few check points, Degan was finally walked to the doors to the out side.
"So, where are they sending me this time?" Degan said with a small smile as his cuffs were taken off and he rubbed his wrists.
"You are going to be sent to the Town of Manchine. Dont ask why i dont know, orders are orders so just do what your told." the old man said as he handed Degan his things, with a slight frown tickling the edge of his lips.
With his things in hand, Degan turned and walked away extending his hand as he walked, "I hope i never have to see either of you two again. But in all honesty, i most likely will. Hahaha!" It took about an hour to get to the transport pad where a shuttle was waiting to take him to Manchine.
-1400 Hours-Town of Manchine-
Stepping off the cramped shuttle the dust swirled around the imposing form of Degan Walsh creating an imitation of an aura. Pants rippling in the wind, the gleam of the sun off metal made for war, stood a man that stuck out from the rest, however this heroic image was instantly interrupted by a coughing fit brought on by the ever so prevalent dust.
"Damn..*cough* *cough* ..this dirt is the wors..*cough* ..FINE!" Degan yelled as the wind stopped and made him yell at nothing. Dipping his head he walked quickly to the nearest bar, he needed drink.
The eyes of Chopshop showed Grey that they were beginning to pull their weapons out. They were doing a full ambush right at the gates of their home. There was no way this would be possible. How could they even begin to think they would have taken position of the guards all in disguise. The cannement were smart about this one. In the middle of the night no civilian would be able to see what was going on nor would htey turn an eye. Just thinking that it was a search order from the head gate guards.
Grey zoomed in with his sights and saw as they drew their guns and begun to hold hostage by force. "they are taking them all out. Act quick!"
Gears yanked out his rifle and launched a scathe of bullets at the targets ricochet sounds beaming off the rocks and metal guard towers.
"Careful we cant harm the innocent!" Grey yelled as they closed in the gap from the rocky outcrops that surrounded the area.
"Whose that?!" A guard yelled.
A man glanced over and instantly felt fear strike into him. "Company..."
he ordered the men to direct their fire toward the freedom fighters who instantly begun receiving fire under way from the guards with their automatic rifles. From the distance they were at it was going to be tough to land a fatal blow however, a few bullets managed to scratch onto chopshops armor. Although it was thick steal nothing super advanced. It held up. The shop was rusty, tattered with spray paint as the others behind Grey charged in to hold off the Cannement. The gunfire grew as more and more men came from the shadows. A few armed with some old tattered launchers that tossed missiles taking out the arm of Gears mech. "Im fucking hit, shatter them!" As gears landed on the ground 30 yards and begun lying cover fire of massive fist sized rounds into the enemies direction. Chopshop sprung into action.
The bullets flew continuously along with curse words and screaming as the innocent hid inside the scouts. Grey ordered through his creaky microphone not to move or run. To trust the fighters line of work. The battle was to dangerous for them to continue fighting in their mechs. They were going to hurt someone.
Grey had to come to a decision and quickly. "Everyone Disband!"
Gears and Grey took the lead followed by the other freedom fighters and they all propelled into squatting positions with their mechs which would act as cover for them. They opened the cockpits and hurled themselves out of their vehicles with out haste and begun a thick line of return fire. The battle pressed on along with more screaming and no sign of any civilians to call for help from law enforcement. 'Just what they had planned.' Grey thought as he lined up a solid shot into 2 cannements chests with his machine pistols. He was armed with only the thick skin armor he preferred. It was light but strong. Just as the animal he killed it from wanted it. There was more gun fire as they all retreated while the rifle of Gears took its shots.
"one more for the tombyard" He hollard and with that Grey made his move up to get closer for his gift of God. he hid behind the furthest back scout which had popped tires. Of course more work for him after this. And squatted down. he leaned out from cover as 2 victims begun to fall prey like the fly to the spider web.
Grey holstered his twin pistols and over the shoulder slung his toy The sawed off Shotgun lacked in accuracy where it grew in power. He waited for them to creep the corner. one being close enough while the other was readying a shot with whatever he had on deck.
Grey tossed a summer salt roll with a gunshot blast of the sawed off letting off massive amount of recoil as he sprung into action. It took out the first enemy whose head shattered like a glass vase in a china shop. Then he lined up another shot holding the enemy behind cover as the scattergun spray apart the rear quarter panel of the scout one truck ahead of him. He only had two shots so without haste he dropped the shotgun on his sling and pulled a single pistol which delivered a 3 shot burst fire from his finger decently timed only one burst resulting in 4 shots. it only took one bullet as the next cannement fell.
Gears, an the other freedom fighter begun clearing out the cannement and finally the battlefield they were forced into halted with the cold wind as silence as Greys' ears rang like nothing else.
Gears made his way to each scout before checking and letting the survivors and some of which were mere children no older than 14. Just a savage part of the young labor they had in the town of Manchine. The town had no laws against it. So parents would sometimes and often force their kids into it without their will. Some were younger than Grey and Gears. around 18 maybe 19. It was so sad to see their lives like this. Then again Grey was in their shoes once as well.
"Everyone OK? Gears asked in an upbeat attitude. he had a funny way with words and personality. He seemed to always be upbeat but always kind of an asshole. No time to bat an eye toward it. He was always like this. Grey had a different approach. He politely escorted the men and women and youngsters out of the scouts and into cover in case there was more out there. He led them to the main security building. "Ladies and Gentlemen...is there anyone hurt?" He asked before catching gaze at a women not dressed like the others. Everyone was in tattered clothing. like they just got done loading up the ore. But this woman was much different. She wore a nanoskin suit. Something Grey was very familiar with as the suits were extremely expensive to make due to their mechanical and biochemistry properties behind them. He took a gaze at her eyes as she entered the room with the pack. She had piercing purple hair. Of course with the genome projects that occurred over the 2 million years not only did they had advances in medical, machinery, chemistry, and much more. They also messed with genes themselves. Some apart of genetics, others are mutation. Giving this girl a deep purple hair color and eyes. He didn't recognize her as a civilian of the town. But she was not cannement or she would have attacked already.
He took a quick look noticing the guards all undressed and tied up behind one of the counters where their break room/kitchen was they would all lounge in. They were definitely ambushed. No doubt about it.
Grey made a glance toward the woman again. He could not put a finger on it. Gears made his way into the room like a typhoon. "It was a fucking ambush!!!! I knew it!!"
"Gears quiet and untie them with me." The other Freedom fighters got to it with Gears meanwhile Grey took a third notice to the woman. "Miss, Mind if I ask what your doing with the Scouts and the miners on their way back from the mines?" He said rather politely. his firearms were already being reloaded by this time but he did it so subliminally that no one would glance an eye at how subtle he was at it unless they fully were paying attention. Which at this time. Everyone was seeming to be happy to be alive.
Sunlight filtered in through the window of the blinds in his bedroom. Vintage looking blinds, aesthetic over function. The things he did for love. Alerius woke up with a groan, squinting his eyes as a beam of sunlight had managed to shine right in his face while Artemis slept peacefully next to him, no sunlight waking her up of course. This was his life now, married to his old Commanding officer, even had a couple of kids with her. One was Seven and the other was Four, both still somehow asleep the eldest was his daughter Eleana and the youngest was his Son Xander.
Rolling over to wrap his arms around his wife he yawned a bit and gave her a good morning kiss, her response to that was a kiss as well then a mumbled. " Love you too, Mister morning breath.. Get the kids ready for school.."
That was the house rule, first parent to wake up had to get the kids ready. It was totally unfairly stacked against Alerius who always woke up first. He gave a dramatic sigh which of course was just to give her more of that morning breath, which caused her to scrunch her nose and pull the covers over her head and have her push him out of bed with her feet so she could have it all to herself.
Literally rolling out of bed he chuckled and grabbed his clothes for the day. As well as the suitcase he'd packed the day before. " I'm heading out on my trip today for testing the new model I'll be back in less than a week should all go well. " he said as he patted her leg on his way to the shower.
She spoke up again. " Don't forget to bring me back some goodies.." She said sleepily.
He was happy, had happy kids, a very happy marriage, a peaceful life overall. He hadn't let the peace take away his edge though.
The rest of the morning passed uneventfully as he made breakfast for the three and got the kids to school before heading to work to catch the shuttle to Manchine. His Slepnir with the latest in prototype parts was loaded up with the newest mech they had just developed. While they got everything loaded up he stood in the U.S. Military training room for some sparring with the Young Bucks. He of course walloped the lot of them but it was good practice and kept him in shape.
Soon enough the call came in and he was on his way. looking to his partner and for the hundredth time explaining that he hated deserts. Though his partner never really knew why as Alerius rarely if ever talked about his time in the Canines despite the Canines Logo painted on the shoulder of his Mech. The Slepnir had gotten some frame upgrades and looked slick. Different chassis same mech. Alerius's mobility specs were always ridiculously high so they often used him when testing new models maneuverability. Which sent him out to the desert, a lot. Manchine was practically a second home. Same with the ratty hotel he stayed in every time. Which was where he immediately went once he touched down.
The streets were always crowded and he had no notoriety here, he liked the anonymity that came with being here. His silvered hair and his slightly aged features still strongly resembled who he was in the Great War. Speaking of the Great War there seemed to be a familiar face between him and that ratty hotel from before. Connor was talking to a mechanic of some kind and Alerius couldn't pass up an opportunity to say Hi. Approaching from behind flung an arm over Connors shoulder and greeted him.
" Well well if it isn't the great Desk Jocky himself!" He said with a grin.
Nyala used her drones to see what was going on outside has she heard gun fire seemingly sounding her, The mechs she thought were bandits were opening fire on the guards as they tried to fight back to seemingly no avail aside from a shot that took out an arm. it was over soon after the mechs showed up did Nyala keep the pistol holstered and walked out from her assigned truck slowly with arms up.
Soon joining the civilians one of the pilots approached her and asked her about why she was with the convoy, and such. They didn't seem like any individuals to concern her other than they had probably saved her life, if she didn't slip out without the "guards" noticing. But at the very least she was safe now and didn't need to think of much other than explain. "Im part of the Survey Corps for the US, i-" she turned around and did a small gesture "Was supposed to get a good map of the terrain and find a safer route to your town." Her voice was without emotion as she was uninterested in the conversation. "That is until the guards turned on us"
The recon drones flew above taking a look at the people from a safe unnoticeable distance and Nyala being the over thinker she was, was already labeling routes of escape if these saviors were to get angry with her.
"They werent guards." he said quietly before wakling back outside with her following. "Those people that attacked us were part of a terrorist organization and prey on stealing and killing to gain control over their city." Grey opened up his canteen of water which he pulled from his belt. Taking a sip of it then followed with a gulp. "They call themselves the Cannement. It looks like they were all eliminated, but the problem is we cant track who they really our. Considering they all live among us to begin with." Grey said.
Meanwhile the team of freedom fighters were disposing the bodies, getting rid of them and cleaning up anyone that might have been injured.
Nyala's eyes narrowed on the man "well i think its obvious that i am not one of them" She shrugged at him. "i doubt i can be of much use, however i did get a decent mapping of the terrain on my way here but im guessing that isnt important for you natives who probably know the land already." Mapping of the terrain wasnt for them however it was for others that might want to establish a trade route to this town, for whatever reason. "my job here is mostly done, although i might be willing to help out your predicament." For a price, she thought to herself. Telling her superiors about what happened here and how she probably assisted in capturing, or killing, criminals would look good on her resume though and that was probably enough payment.
Grey begun to scratch his chin underneath his goggles which partially covered his face but were more used to keep the dust out in case a storm. "well my apologies miss, however I could clearly see you were not from here, I just didnt know why you were here. Then again your motives probably don't need explanation." He said politely. The police were already on their way and it was time for the freedom fighters to get going. They were all covered with their identities as they also couldn't let anyone know who they were. On his way out Gears tossed a note to the woman.
She would come to find out that the letter was from Grey, wishing that if she wanted to learn more about the cannement and hopefully give Grey some help to leave the letter marked with only an X on the entire back side of the page and leave it at the main district bar at 9am tomorrow in the front underneath the waiting bench taped to the bottom.
if she places the letter under with a x. Grey will continue to work with her for assistance.
If not and chooses not too. They will part ways until further notice (Which will be soon)
The next morning was a late morning. Considering Grey and Gears were awake almost all night without getting almost any sleep he managed to crawl out of bed and get ready. He tossed on his terradragon leather coat on top of a t shirt along with a aussie brimmed hat and made his way out of his home which doubled as a workshop. Making his way down to the rendezvous point to see if the letter would be where he wrote it to be.
Clad in his street clothes, which funny enough where still equipped with minor armor, Degan made his way through the semi crowed streets towards the main district bar hounded on all sides by a motley assortment of people, this was not by any standards a "good" town. He was by no means a stranger to this town, however, he had not been here in some time so everything had changed quite a bit. Brushing past a few of people who where lounging outside the bar with a few drinks in their hands, Degan got a couple of nods and even a few chuckles as he passed. Slowly a smile spread across his face as he walked through the doorway and into the bar.
It was not the nicest, but it was the type of place that Degan truly felt at home, surrounded by his people, and a place to get shit face drunk. The bar looked more like a renovated garage with a few pool tables, some dinning tables, and an odd assortment of items adorning the walls. Walking up to the bar Degan pushed his way through the small group of people till he was face to face with the bar tender.
"Start a tab, and get me a beer." He said with a slight smirk of enjoyment as he slapped his palm on the bar. The bar tender nodded and said "Be right back with that for ya" as he walked away to get the drink.
(Just what i picture in the background)
Nyala caught the note and quickly glossed over the writing. Looking back at the man who saved her and is now asking for her assistance, with a sigh she marked an X on the back. Recalling the drones to her she left to go find a decent place to set up a temporary living quarters, after that she slept and woke up quite early as she was used to short naps and such. she went to what she assumed as the main districts bar and followed the letters instructions and left the scene, but not after letting up a drone in a hidden spot. She herself didnt go far only out of sight of the bar. tammynorthland tammynorthland
As Degan was enjoying his drink there was someone who bumped into him "Hey careful!!" The man had a face tattoo of an X that covered over his left eye. It was like an eyepatch. He had a full build and was an inch or two taller than the man named Degan. The guy grabbed his drink that fell on the ground. The container was made of wood and luckily didnt break however it spilled all over. "You gonna clean that up bro!?" He said with a sour attitude. The man was furious over the drink. It wasnt even noon and yet the town of trash was already littered with the alcoholics and thugs who occupied inside it.
grey made his round and seeked for the note quietly. He took a quick search with his eyes unnoticeable under his sunglasses. He was slowly opening it noticing she accepted the letters invitation. 'Good now we just need to find her. He listened a someone was yelling inside the bar but quickly caught site of the girl. He remembered her hair. She stood out like a sore thumb. but she was tucked away from the scene. If she was who she said she was she might be able to scan out who else could be working for the cannement. The reality was that they hadnt had any idea who was one of them or not. Perhaps this would help them out more.
He got up and went inside the bar. The commotion was already under way the man with a large tattoo of an X across his left eye. 'This doesnt look good. Whose that man? Ive never seen him around these parts? Was he part of the cannement?' grey asked himself taking notice to the man with a solid build sitting at the bar. He clearly must have done something to piss off the guy. Grey took a step into the corner as he waited for the girl to make her way inside.
Meanwhile Gears was on standby he was spying on the girl under a sand cloak. He had tucked under his bed for times like this. It was used for staying low key. under the radar. he didnt want to expose himself especially considering he was supposed to be backup in case the situation went sour. but clearly the girl must have been who she said she was.
Degan was enjoying his drink, the first of many, or that was the plan at least. Until he was rudely interrupted by a large man with a funny looking tattoo. Glancing to the side at the man, Degan sized him up the man was an inch or two taller than Degan himself. But size meant nothing as far Degan was concerned, finishing the last swallow of his drink Degan slowly turned on the bar stool to face the man.
"That ain't my fault. But if you keep going down the road your on, i'll put you on your ass." Degan said in an overly relaxed manner. The truth was Degan was ready to spring into action in an instant thanks to his drinking not really having much of an effect on him.
Standing up Degan got right in the face of the larger man, "Pick up your shit, and piss off." he said raising his eyebrows slightly.
Nyala closed her eyes and sighed as the man from last night spotted her. She got up from where she was and walked into the bar following him. Upon entering she was awashed over a wave of disappointment and disinterest when she saw the commotion between two beefy looking men. Looking around for the man from last night she spotted him in the corner of the bar and walked toward him. "A common sight around here?" She leasurely gestured to the fight. Meanwhile the drone she had set up from before took notice of a strange figure in a sandcloak, was this person one of the terrorists? (Post from moblie so sorry if anythings off)
( Killorkiller Killorkiller degan has 2 choices. he can strike first or let the man attack first. However Degan has a sick feeling about the man)
The man growled. "You fucking disrespectful bitch! What did you just say to me? So do YOU have any idea who your talking to right now?!" THe man lost his cool right away. He got in Degans face as he was clearly not happy.
Meanwhile Gears heard some of the noise from the bar in a slight echo he made his way toward the alley and scoped around the corner. He was ordered to keep his distance. No need to scare off the girl. And considering the night before they were all wearing face masks there was no way the purple haired girl would know it was him. Let alone any cannement would no it was himself. Not only did the cannement keep their sights away from public interest by keeping alias and fake identities so well...The freedom fighters did a good job at it as well.
Inside the bar the girl erupted and made her way to the sidelines. She spoke to Grey. She now knew who he was. At least as far as she was concerned for all she knew it could easily be a goon or another freedom fighter sent to confirm the identity. However it was Grey from the previous night. She wasn't going to be an issue to him. And judging by how quick she was to reply to the letter that was left for him, he didnt feel the need to bat an eye. Several others at this time were beginning to keep their guard up. Grey started paying attention to the scene as it begun to unfold. It was 5 men. All in different corridors and seats of the bar. One was right next to Degan. One was to the left of the woman.
He opened his mouth but no words came out. he didnt know what to say without risking cover. However her question was opened ended it provided the opportunity to give her a code to be on standby if she was able to catch it. "Yes this part of town can be filled with a variety of profiles." He meant some of these men may be dangerous but there was no telling how she could take the hint.
Connor was a little startled to suddenly find an arm draped around his shoulders and someone calling him 'The Desk Jockey'. But after finding out that it was his old squad mate Alerius, he calmed down rather quickly. Taking the hand closest to Alerius, he grinds his knuckles into the man's organs in an attempt to make him as uncomfortable as possible "And if it isn't glorified stuntman." he said in return. "I get reports about your endeavors all the time. Something about destroying and possibly blowing up government owned property?" He knew that was just a part of the job when it came to being a test pilot, but he had to have his fun as well.
"Oh, this is Gears, one of the best mechanics in this city. I had a project I was hoping he could help me work on, got to keep my sanity somehow. But it's late, so I'll come back tomorrow and he can tell me whether he wants to help or not. You, on the other hand, will meet me at the Golden Oasis on the other side of town. Place is worse then a latrine, but the drinks are cheap and good. We can catch up some more there." And with that, he left to go find a hotel and rent a room for the next couple of nights.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When Connor showed up at the Golden Oasis, he was disappointed to see a fight already starting to break out. He could just tell someone was going to start swinging by the way the two were standing. Well, he wouldn't get involved unless they got close to him. Then he had the alibi of self defense when he ends up breaking at least one of their bones. Maybe two. Depends on what the first bone he breaks is. If he breaks humerus, then it'd just be one bone, unless they want to try and use their other arm then it'd still have to be two. Well, considering he could break their ribs or fingers, two broken bones is better then three, four, or five. And he'd only need help for a few weeks to do anything, until his arms healed up.

Meeting the mans gaze, Degan smiled this was going to be fun it had been awhile since had a good fight. Reaching out to where his empty glass rested on the bar, Degan picked it up and flipped it to the opening was down on the bar. The man was large, but Degan had a few tricks up his sleeve that no one knew.

"Your gonna need some friends to carry you outa here." Degan said casualy before he launched a massive blow into the mans stomach with his left, Degan felt the impact of the blow and knew it was gonna hurt. His first blow followed by a strong right hook to the mans temple sending him in to the bar with the force.

In the momentary lull, Degan reached out and grabbed a bystanders drink and downed it, "Thanks" he said and turned his attention back to the fight.

"A variety?" Nyala looked over to the fight and around the bar taking in the various persons who all seemed hardy. After the first few punches she cringed and wondered if the fight would escalate. "I see.." She inched closer to the man careful of the various peoples whose nerves were rising as the fight progressed. it wasn't until another man walked in did she react in any kind of way. "Connor.. Mckinley?" She said under her breath so no one could've heard wondering if it was actually him. She was dumbstruck to why such a person was here of all places. Her mind soon tuned out the fight and all the others to focus on him. It didn't seem like he was on duty, nor did it seemed like he had any business here perhaps she was mistaken? Nyala made a mental note to profile the man to see if it was him later. She then snapped back to reality where the fight had ended up with the larger man on the counter and the smaller one downing a random persons drink.

Alerius chuckled and nodded as he moved away from the man's painful prodding. He nodded to the Gears who were present and waved off the comment about destroying Government property. " Yes yes I literally get paid to give you more paperwork.. Isn't that wonderful? Where do you think all those nameless damage reports come from?" He said as he stretched in place, letting his hands rest behind his head. It's been some time since he'd seen Connor. Last time was probably when his Son had been born four years ago.

At Connors offer he nodded and agreed before they parted ways with a good slap on the back. He'd spend the rest of the time before their meet up securing his usual room at his usual hotel. Before anything though he made sure he had a collapsible sword and his revolver concealed on him before he went anywhere.

------------------------------------------
Arriving just after Connor did he took stock of the bar they had found themselves in. A real hive of scum and villainy, or so it appeared as there wa already a fight going on between two patrons. Alerius wouldn't do anything unless the fight became unfair. He, unlike Connor wouldn't let people off with only a broken bone to set. He looked over to the girl who seemed to have been staring at Connor and chuckled a bit to himself. Even Ten years on and they were still drawing stares. " This looks like it might get ugly."

"Miss the name doesn't ring a bell." He said giving her a negative shake. "My name is of no concern right now miss. However young lady. Keep your eyes peeled.....This is going to get ....very interesting."

The bar fight opened up with the man tossing a massive punch to the man with an X on his face. He recollected his act and sprawled back up off the table. The blow was heavy, Quickly the man reacted with a slug back to the man at the bar. He was pissed off now. He grabbed him on the way as he flung back by the shoulders preventing him from hitting the table like the man with the X on his face did. Before they knew it He was tossed across the bar table about 5 feet like a rag doll. The man had some strength behind him.

Grey tilted his head and lifted a brow. He made a note of the X. His hand to hand combat skills were incredible to be able to handle a blow like that. Especially someone bigger than him like that The man rang a bell. He recalled Gears saying something of an assassin amongst the Cannement. One who specialized in hand to hand combat, along with blade fighting styles. He then begun to gaze around the bar. 5...... still paying attention while most others showed either no interest, fear. or a mix of the 2.

This man picked the wrong fight today. He thought. He looked around to the left of the woman he was standing quietly next too. These were Cannement...... And this guy just picked the wrong fight.

The fight unleashed quickly. The man next to the girl reaching behind him as he drew a blade revolver from the shadows. Grey reacted with precision. He slowly grazed his fingertips over the purple haired womans knuckles before pulling her hand and the rest of her body out of his line of fire. Grey reached for his machine pistol but seized as the man that was fighting at the bar seized his attack. he pulled a gun on the man on his back in the bar.

"Im gonna need some friends to the me out of here? He yelled. You dont even know the half of it." Grey crouched down as the man has his weapon next to him on standby thinking that they were just moving away from the commotion.

Grey bore no cloak. His weapons were out in the open. Hip with his fingers touching the machine pistol barely visible from half the angles from the 2 men in direct opposition. The fighter with the X and the man to the left OF THEM ABOUT 4 FEET NOW(oops caps lock lol)

The man opened his mouth again." Hopefully you arent alone. Because Im certainly not." grey watched the man walk up to him who was still held at gunpoint. The barrel closer and closer to the mans face. A man made his way in and stood at the sidelines as well. He muttered something to the man to Greys left as he glared at him unnamed by his saying. The trigger was about to fire. he was going to end this guys life.

He begun to squeeze the trigger

BBBANNGG!!!!

Greys pistol had smoke pluming from the barrel. The gunshot rang through the bar. He did a smooth quick draw that was by no means professional but was still at a fair enough speed to make himself impressed. The shot blasted through the mans chest as he still stood standing. X showing his pupils with white in the center of where the two lines of the X met. He slowly turned to Grey, Grey felt tension as he gave a quick gaze to the other 3 men. They all were beginning to rustle a bit.

Grey couldnt let some innocent stranger get in the way. This man was indeed Cannement. He knew it. And being surrounded by others......They were in trouble.

The man turned his head to look at the wound. He didnt even flinch. Bullet proof armor blocking the small caliber bullet that otherwise would have put him on his ass. He growled with anger as his brows furrowed.

After being thrown by the bigger man, Degan stood up and looked at him aghast. "Well, this ain't all that fun anymore." he said as his senses quickly picked up the other 5 men that where seeming to stand by. Rubbing the back of his head Degan smiled, "I got no problem killing you, but then i will have to kill your friends, and that is something i kinda dont want to have to do. To much work you know?" That being said Degan was not in a mood to deal with this type of thing.

Tucking up his legs, Degan rolled on to the other side of the bar with the liquor behind him. "Well lets say we just forget about all this bad business. Come on i'll pour you a drink?" As Degan spoke he walked around behind the bar doing various things with liquor, but he was actually positioning himself to fire on two of the seemingly hostile men.

As soon as the gun shot rang out Degan froze, this was going to go sideways, and the only way to stay ahead of it was to act first. Activating both of his SMGs that where attached to his arms they sprung into his hands as he pointed them at the man with the X. And open fired all with in a few seconds.

The man took a quick crouch behind the opposing side of the bar as the gunfight unleashed right away resulting in Grey launching a burst fire set of shots toward the man with the X as well. He begun rolling along the floor taking a few shots of damage. Meanwhile the 4 other men sprung into action. They tossed the tables they were sitting at onto their sides and made their draws. One made was wearing a cloak holding a machine rifle sword that transformed into a machine rifle. The civilians all either made their way for cover or the exits. The gunfire went off right away. Grey dove down behind the shattered glass from the mans smg fire toward the man with the X on his eye and lept outside onto the pavement. He was hidden behind a solid brick cover as the bullets wizzed passed him. For all he knew they thought the two were working together. "Gears standby we got trouble" He spoke into his intercom. Gears made his guest appearance whispering to get Greys attention who looked up above the firefight.

"Lemme know if you need me." He said keeping his standby as promised. Gears had a way with fighting. He was sneaky slithering kinda fellow. The fight went on. Grey leaned over the cover recieving fire shots from the 2 thugs furthest back from the bar. as he made a return fire before being forced into cover again. The man with the X on his face was trying to go after Degan but ended up using the cover fire to take cover with his 3 friends as well. They were targeting him 3 to one.

It was dark. Alexandria's helmet's HUD flickered to life. "W-what?" Alexandria asked herself as she slowly sat up. She couldn't see her own hands in front of her face. Flicking her helmet light on, she illuminated her surroundings, which wasn't much. All she could see was a slimy green plant like wall all around her, only a foot from her face. Alexandria sat still for a moment, gaining her composure. She closed her eyes and began recalling the events she could last remember. She quickly remembered. The green case like plants were on the ceiling. One of them had fallen on her, and then she had passed out. The plant most have emitted a high power gas that got past her helmet filter. That was the only explanation Alexandria could think of at least. In a sudden flurry, Alexandria reached for her chimaera, finding it neither on her back nor within her green prison. "Damnit," she muttered, rising to her feet. Her helmet only inches from the top of the plant prison. Hopefully the others were alright. If nothing had happened to them then surely they would have rescued her from a simple plant by now. Either way, she would have to make sure they were alright.

The first step to getting to them was escaping her planet prison. This was also the easiest step. Alexandria brought her fist back, and lunches forward, tearing a hole through her plant prison with brute force. She put her other hand in the gap and pulled the hole open wider and wider until she could step through it herself. She hopped through, and shined her light on the cave walls. She turned to her left and spotted three other plants, each on the ground like hers. The others had to be in those. Alexandria hurried to each one ripping them open and pulling out her trapped comrades. They were still unconscious, for their plant prisons were still emitting a barely visible gas. However, ripping them open seemed to stop the gas flow. The three were slowly regaining consciousness.

Alexandria picked her chimaera up from the ground, and slung it across her back. "Alexandria? You... Wait? What hap-" Anton began, his tone growing confusingly confused before Alexandria interrupted. "Once the others awaken I propose we take our leave of this cave. This is as deep as we can go and we have yet to discover any raw material." Anton shook his head. "Not yet, I need to take a detailed scan of the surrounding area, then we will take it back to base for them to decipher it." Alexandria nodded. "Alright, I'll keep a look out for falling plants then," she stated, looking up at the ceiling. There were at least a hundred of the plants hanging. Her two other squadmates began to stir. Anton was tapping on a display on his forearm. "Alright, scanning in process. Once we're done here, a team will be sent in to remove these plants before the miners are ever allowed to enter," Anton said, staring at the display.

After a few minutes, Anton said, "Finished let's get out of he-" a plant was falling down, poised to capture him once again. However, Anton wasn't to be caught off guard again. He rolled out of the way, letting the plant slam down where he had been standing. "Run!" He barked, taking off sprinting towards the rock climbing equipment. Alexandria and the others were right behind him. Alexandria nearly tripped as one of the prison plants crashed down right behind her, and another directly to her left. She was nearly there, he rock wall she needed to climb was only twenty meters away. A plant crashed down right in front of her, but she was ready. Her suit's extra strength activated, and she literally ran straight through the prison plant. Although green plant guts covered her, she had reached the wall. Anton and the others had already made it. They quickly hooked themselves up, and looked back at the room. One by one, the plants were slowly rising upwards, back to the ceiling. A vine appeared to connect the prison plant to the ceiling. Turning away from the trap, Alexandria began to climb out, smiling beneath her helmet. Her first mission was far more eventful than she had originally thought.
