Crenando's Calvalcade of Characters

Still W.I.P.! I'll beef some of these categories up if they aren't satisfactory.

Hero name: The Visitant
civilian identity: Buddy Bradshaw
Gender: Male
Age: Died at age 30 in 1938, Making him 109
Eye color: Blue
Hair color: Black
Occupation: Corpse

Powers:
  • Undead: Someone or something brought Buddy back, giving him the following powers
    • Above-Average Strength
    • Enhanced Stamina
    • Ghost Perception
  • The Higher Power: The Higher Power grants Buddy certain powers depending on how much he dedicates himself to vengeance. These powers are used in very extreme situations, and the consequences they hold are usually dire (To be used sparingly as big dramatic moments):
  • Flight: 1939, Case of the Axis Air Pirates
Intangibility: 1940, The Visitant battles The Heap!
Teleportation 1942, The Curious Case of the Crystalline Kid
Telepathy 1944, The Death of Britannica!
    [*]
Weaknesses: Buddy prefers to use the two-fisted method, avoiding using his more dangerous powers and the terrible implications they hold. This gets him into difficult situations. His bad luck might also have something to do with that, as he often stumbles his way into dangerous situations and has to fight his way out.

Skills and abilities
  • Detective skills
  • Old fashioned pugilism
  • Ventriloquism
  • Select Occult Knowledge (Not how to use magic, just knowledge about magic in general)
  • Multilingualism (English, Spanish, French, German, and Russian)
Weapons: Nothing notable, aside from his fists
Equipment: Domino mask, fancy gloves, fancy hat
Other items: War memorabilia, and a wallet he hasn't changed since the 40's.

Hero/villain Appearance (description or picture): The Visitant dresses like his contemporaries, with a lot of carry-over from the age of masked heroes. His wardrobe mostly contains lapel suits and fancy hats, ranging from blue to black to grey, but the domino mask always remains.

Civilian appearance: Buddy resembles an archetypal square jawed detective, his eyes being the thing that stand out the most on him.

Personality: The Visitant fills the role of a spirit of vengeance rather poorly most of the time, usually being a calm and collected character.

History: On a cold December night in 1938, police detective Buddy Bradshaw was buried alive by some particularly angry mafiosi. They couldn't have picked a worse night, as the man rose from his premature grave the next day to take revenge as The Visitant.

After that, he gave up his previous life and dedicated his afterlife to fighting crime. He took residence in the attic of the bar run by up and coming jazz musician, Rags Morales. Buddy tended bars to return the favor.

It only took a month for him to get involved with the war, and within a year, he joined the superhero team The Legends. He had gotten fairly close with the team, even forming a romantic relationship with patriotic superheroine Britannica before her untimely demise at the hands of Count Berlin.

After The Legends disbanded, The Visitant disappeared for about a decade. When he returned by the sixties, he said he was away on "personal business" in the Himalayas. No one is exactly sure what that means, but it seems he's here to stay. Bradshaw still stays in touch with his surviving colleagues, often reminiscing about the old days and holding memorials for those who have passed.
