Backstory: As a young kid, Marcel's father had always taught him that it was his duty as a citizen of the Planetary Government to make the world a better place. They lived in a small town outside of the crowded cities, and both his parents were metal smiths, with his dad making weapons for the military and his mom making and selling jewelry in the city. City life had always fascinated him, and after visiting the city with his mom on one of her selling trips Marcel decided he wanted to go to a university. With his limited skills in manipulating fire with his Ern he picked up from his parents, he was able to demonstrate abilities that got him accepted into the Titan Academy. There, Marcel honed his skills with fire and aced the final test.

After graduating from Titan Academy at the young age of 20, Marcel Riedl quickly rose through the ranks of the Titans, elevating his cohort to A-rank. His cohort was always in demand, as Marcel's control over fire was highly valuable in many situations. However, instead of pursuing further glory for his cohort and himself, Marcel announced his retirement, leaving his cohort and taking a job at Titan Academy as an instructor. Although he had initially become a Titan to help others, he had discovered that instruction was more rewarding for him than the job of a Titan. To this day, he works at the Academy, helping students learn to master the control of Ern.

Ern Specialization: Fire

Weapon of Choice: None

Abilities: Flaming Bullet - Although Marcel prefers using his abilities for defense and assistance and letting the rest of his cohort attack, if forced to fight his main attack is a piercing, directional launch of fire from his fingers. With this ability, he points his index and middle fingers at the target, summons all the heat around him and concentrates it into fire, and then releases it in a quick shot at the target. He can also use this ability to block projectiles by shooting them out of the sky.

Age: 22

Sex: Female

Appearance: Rena is tall, brown haired and green eyed. Half of her head is shaved, and she tends to wear loose, flowing clothes that are easy to move in, or as few clothes as she can get away with to showcase her body which is ridiculously fit and scarred.

Extras:
Rena has a very high opinion of herself.
She doesn’t actually like training or learning, but she does like being the best, so she does it anyway, with an intensity that makes people believe she enjoys it.
She is trying really hard to learn the violin, but it’s going… meh. She is trying to keep this secret.
She loves to play Poker, and thinks she’s good at it, but she’s not. Everyone can read her face.
She’s uneducated and embarrassed about it. (Except for the four years at the academy)

Backstory: Rena was born in Onyxport to parents who… were just there. They weren’t cruel, they weren’t saints. They did what they had to do to get by, and in the slums of Onyxport what they had to do was work. All the time. This left little Rena to her own devices most of the time.
Brash and arrogant even at a young age, Rena quickly fell in with a gang of kids called the ‘Nose Busters’. They terrorized the neighborhood, as kids do, and though they didn’t have a leader as such, Rena was the loudest, the most prone to get into fights, and the one with the meanest streak, so if she wasn’t quite the leader, the others jumped when she said jump.
As they grew into teenagers, their gang stopped being a ‘cute’ childish escapade and they began getting into real trouble. They stole, mugged and intimidated, eventually becoming a gang in truth, which brought them to the attention of the actual adult gang the ‘Diamond Eyes’.
A nuisance at first, the Diamond Eyes sent thugs to either integrate the kids into their group, intimidate them, or get rid of them. But they didn’t count on Rena. She refused to be intimidated, was too prideful to become another minion in their gang, and when the fists began swinging Rena and her gang won.
Soon they were embroiled in an honest to god gang war. The Nose Busters had to use guerilla tactics to stay alive against the larger gang now out for their blood, thanks to Rena’s resistance, but it didn’t always go as planned. When the first of the Nose Busters died, knifed in an alley by one of the Diamond Eyes, Rena realized that this was real. It wasn’t just a game anymore. Rather than being afraid, she became enraged. Rather than hiding, she began hunting the Diamond Eyes when they were alone. And despite the Diamond Eyes being older and more numerous, she somehow always came out on top. She hit harder, moved faster and took blows better. She had unintentionally been using Gravity Ern to enhance her physical capabilities.
Eventually, when the deaths had begun to mount, Rena’s rage and guilt resulting in bolder and wilder attacks, the guard had to intervene. They caught Rena and the other Nose Busters during an attack on one of the Diamond Eyes warehouses, where they had a number of illegal substances stored. The guards stopped the attack, arrested the Diamond Eyes there, and then arrested Rena and her gang. Smaller than the diamond eyes, only one or two Nose Busters were left free.
Rena fought back, of course. One of the guardsmen, the captain, noticed with surprise that she was unconsciously using Ern, using it skillfully, and not immediately tiring out. The captain also realized the kind of cleverness and foresight that would have been required to keep her young gang alive so long against the Diamond Eyes.
The Nose Busters were guilty of a multitude of charges, mitigated only slightly by the fact they were young and fighting a bigger, more deadly gang. All of the Nose Busters were thrown in prison, including Rena. The day after she was sent there, she was asked by the captain that had seen her use of Ern, a woman by the name of Yenna Quickswitch, if she wanted to get out early. Rena did, of course, and Yenna told them that they could if they went to the Titan Academy. They were looking for naturally gifted students like her. Rena agreed, planning on leaving and then trying to break her crew out. But Yenna said that they only accept people who were eighteen, and she still had a sentence to serve. Since Rena was only 16, she spent two years in prison before she was allowed to head to the Academy at Yenna’s recommendation. Yenna had been a much lauded alumni of the Titan Academy.
Surprising no one, Rena caused problems at the Academy. She was less educated than the other students, less disciplined, and more resistant to authority than was normal. While she was naturally skilled with gravity Ern, she had trouble reaching out with her Ern to affect other things.
However, she was taken under the wing of another teacher, a man named Terrik Opan, who was himself a master of martial arts and meditation. He convinced Rena to study intensively under him, and then tricked her into calming down and centering herself by teaching her meditation and other introspective techniques along with the material arts.
Still loud, proud and reckless, the Titan Academy nevertheless molded a violent street urchin into a focused, skilled and driven individual who aims to free her former gang members with the influence gained by her new position and to show everyone that she’s the best at what she does, and what she does is everything.

Ern Specialization: Gravity

Weapon of Choice: Her huge gauntlets ‘Missy’ and ‘Mister’. Designed to work with Rena’s powers, they’re monstrously heavy and can eject boiling hot steam, as well as being good shields since their construction was built to endure the extremely high velocities that result when Rena uses her powers.

Abilities: Rena is really just a martial artist who uses her Ern to enhance her abilities to superhuman capabilities. An expert at manipulating the gravity immediately around her, she can manipulate the gravity of other things, crushing them or using them as projectiles, though she has much more difficulty with this. Her favorite method of using weapons that aren't her fists or gauntlets is by reducing the gravity of a heavy object to almost nothing and then kicking it. When it leaves her radius, the usual laws of physics take hold and now there is a heavy stone, body or whatever else hurtling towards her target at usually terminal speeds.
Because of her focus on the martial arts, Rena is still deadly in situations where she is disarmed or even if Ern cannot be used.

Aveline Beck

Spoiler: Appearance

Age: 23

Sex: Female

Appearance: Aveline stands at an imposing six foot of solid muscle. Her physique is cut from stone from years of scrapping and fighting. Though Aveline is by no means bulky, one might describe her musculature as lean. Her height lends for a thinner and less bulky frame.

Backstory: Avelin was born in a broken place to a broken family. Her mother was young and her father was as flighty as a bird. She was born in the outskirts of Onyxport, though one might not even think it was part of the famous city. Aveline's birthplace was effectively the slums of the city where those less fortunate and the criminal made their home. Because of this, bad people ran rampant in Aveline's childhood home. Her mother was killed when Aveline was only at the young age of eight. There was no one else. Her father was long gone and her mother's family was estranged. She was alone. Aveline became one of the criminals that she might have dismissed as bad before her mother's death.

At first, the extent of her criminal activity only reached as far as stealing food or clothing items. It would soon grow into more as Aveline grew up tough and strong. She briefly ran with The Nose Busters in an attempt to rekindle a friendship with one of its members, Zedric Connel. Zedric was killed by a Diamond Eyes member and Aveline abruptly withdrew her help from the gang. Aveline still blames the gangs de facto leader, Rena, for her friends death. Being on her own forced Avelin to grow up fast and she had never been one for stealth or litheness, Avelin much preferred a direct approach. This caused Aveline to grow strong. Six foot and almost solid muscle, it was easy for Avelin to over power most people. Unfortunately, this head-on approach tended to get her in trouble. Before she knew it, the people in her home had turned on her. Avelin was forced away from the streets she grew up in and into the great wide city of Onyxport.

A nineteen-year-old with nowhere left to turn to and in an unfamiliar place, Avelin found her solace in the Titan Academy. Here she found a place that she could put her anger to use. Here were people who could use her strength. Avelin enrolled in the Academy and found a place that she felt wanted. Drawn to the decay of living, and non-living things, it was only natural for her to specialize in it.

Ern Specialization: Decay

Weapon of Choice: A simple short sword, up close and personal is her game.

Abilities: Dematerialization; The ability to reduce objects, and even small creatures, to dust by speeding up the process of decay. Metal objects simply broken into pieces or rusted beyond use.

Backstory: The Wolff family, two decades ago, was a rising star in the social ladder of the major cities. The family had long been involved in trade, slowly building up wealth and influence through generations. Yet, once the family reached heights that could begin to rival those of the established major families, it soon became clear that social outsiders were not welcome to the inner sphere of the powerful. Many major companies refused to do any more business with the Wolff family. The Planetary Government began passing minor regulations and laws that affected only certain families such as the Wolff family. Audits and random investigations began to harass the family with legal problems. It was clear that behind the scenes, many strings were being pulled to keep upstart families from competing against the rich and powerful through various legal means. While no one action was significant to severely harm the family... they all added up. The powerful and rich didn't get rid of threats with dramatic strikes. Rather, they removed threats silently with a thousand cuts.

Thus, in the two decades, the Wolff family has fallen from it's graces. It's businesses no longer major competitors in the cities. Their finances were cut down and any influence gained was lost. The elite had the influence and prestige to scheme and conduct machinations that the Wolff family couldn't touch with just wealth as sometimes a name was worth more than gold. It was this painful lesson that the family instilled into James. It was his duty to his family to gain the prestige and influence that they needed to survive in the cut throat environment of the elite. Thus, James made every effort to join an elite group of the government. He took to studying and taking various tests to join the Planetary Government. Yet, it was during this time that a Little did he know when he was younger than his Ern was rather powerful, but this potential would open doors for him that even a name couldn't purchase. With the opportunity to join the Titans, James boldly enrolled into the academy

Ern Specialization: Sound

Weapon of Choice: Gun

Abilities:
- Cacophony: James is able to use his Ern to change sounds into other sounds that he has heard.
- Sonic Gun: By flicking his fingers, James can amplify the sound to the point where if he were close enough to someone's ears that he would be able to burst their eardrums

Age: 20

Appearance: she wears her mothers trenchcoat, the jewel clipping it together being one she looted from her fathers corpse.

hobbies include writing creatively, sewing, and set design for plays and theatre.

Backstory: She was born on an airship above aldertown in the southern deserts, to an escort and a rich, influential livestock baron, jamen fendragot. he left her and her mother, delores eldare-lenin in the small town, with no home and barely a penny to their name. her mother fell into debt to get them a home, and had to work it off as an escort. a depressed mother and constant financial trouble was not an easy childhood, but her mother always reassured her. telling her that her father would come and take care of them one day. she had to learn to fend for herself, with her mother being out every night, doing her job, and sometimes even going missing for days at a time, coming back bruised. she was confused, why did it have to be like this? why did her mother have to hurt herself just to keep afloat, and she realized it was her father, and her fault. blaming yourself for your mothers pain is not something a 14 year old should be doing, but its what ended up happening. this realization came alongside another realization, she was not a little boy, she was a girl. her mother was supportive, and she got the support she needed to start the process of transitioning around 15.

She eventually stopped blaming herself, but never stopped hating her father for what he did, vowing one day to hunt him down and kill him.
One day her mother was killed on the job, a terrible moment, likely the worst to ever happen to her. after this event, she made true on her promise, killing her father. it was unceremonious, and fast, done in his sleep. It provided no closure to her, but now she was a wanted woman. taking on a new name, and running to onyxport, playing the part of a haughty nobles daughter, going through the academy to get a cushy job later in life, when in reality, behind the defensive mask she puts up, she's just as scared as she was the night she killed her father. still on the run.

Ern Specialization: crystal growth.

Weapon of Choice: a serrated cleaver and a flintlock pistol.

Abilities: She can grow crystals out of her skin to block blows, onto her fists to make her strike stronger, and she can somewhat control the crystals that have been shattered off of her. the crystals can grow out of her, or out of other crystals created by her. they look like quartz but blood red with what looks like moving and beating blood inside of them.

Name: Rosaria Talim Atavanti

Age: 21

Sex: Male

Appearance: Rosaria is 6’1 and 180lb. His frame is lean, but well build from a life of training and combat. He has caramel colored skill, medium length strait black hair, which has a braid on one side that runs behind one of his ears, and his family’s signature grey eyes. He is normally seen in his families military uniform. High black boots and white form fitting trousers, that stretch to not prevent movement, with a red and gold strip down one leg. He wears a gold sash around his waist, that hides his extensive weapon belt, and a second belt over the sash that shows his rapier and main gouache. He wears a long sleeved red skin tight top that continues the red gold strip from his pants up his body. He wears a bracer on his left arm and half armor that only covers his chest and one shoulder. From his shoulder armor flows a cape of red, black, gold, and white that is adorned with his family’s symbol, three interlocked rings that look like the rings formed when the sun is hidden behind the moon during an eclipse.

Extras: Rosaria spends his free time riding/working on his bike, working in medical departments of various regions, and healing animals he finds on his trips

Backstory: Rosaria was born as the second son into the Atavanti main household. Even before his conception it was already determined that he would join the military and rise to its highest ranks. His family was created with the single minded focus to produce the best soldiers to both expand their influence and display their superiority over those clearly lesser then them. Their family motto of Station, Service, Supremacy, was all Rosaria knew since even before he could understand. In his home of Green Spire, Rosaria was brought the best teachers money and influence could provide. It was only after his elders, his father and brother, determined that he would not be influenced by the cattle of the outside world that he was allowed to leave Green Spire’s protection and even then it was usually under one of their direct supervision. With his father making moves in the council, it was determined that Rosaria would go to Titan Academy to become a titan and bring more renown and influence to the family through his abilities. Since they found it to be an institution not worthy of a son of their main family, Rosaria was sent not for schooling, but just to take the required test so he can continue on the path his family has for him.

Ern Specialization: Transfer and Transformation of cells.

Weapon of Choice: Rapier and main gauche, spear, two long barreled revolvers, long rifle, throwing daggers, wrist mounted grappling chain, and his body.

Abilities: Transfer, is moving his cells from one place to another and changing them for his intended purpose. When being controlled outside of his body, his cells look like flames but are silver in color. He can move and adjust them through space so he can heal at a distance. He controls is own cells to stop his enemies or friends Ern from interfering with the process.

Silver Flame, is the ability to heat his cells to burning temperature. By making the cells produce energy he can heat them up to flame like temperatures. He can also tune the cells the opposite way to make them dispel their heat and become ice cold.

Regeneration, he makes his cells repair and multiply quickly.
