  • - All of the RpN’s official rules apply, I do not need to repeat them here.
  • - Respect the other players and the rules. I have the right to ask you to leave if I feel you are not complying with this.
  • - If you have a problem with anyone or their posting come and talk to me.
  • - Please no OOC chat in the IC thread or character pages, a few words can be put into (( )) IC but conversations are limited to OOC.
  • - I do want to see dedication if you join, please don’t join if you can’t commit to posting at least 2 times a week.
  • - There will be a minimum 2 paragraph post length outside quick action scenes or back & forth dialogue. If I see one-liners I will call you out.
  • - Each person will generally play the human and bonded animal together (so 2 characters each), you may split this but you must already have a person willing to play the other half of your pair before you put up a CS.
  • - I will allow one character pair per person, there are only two exceptions to this rule, myself and another longstanding rp member of this concept.
  • - You may code your CS but if I can't read it easily I will refuse it.
  • - Your characters must be operatives of the Watch.
  • - There will be no high-ranking agent characters as playable characters, the highest ranked will be agent Amber Strong (my character) to lead the team.
  • - Please use reason when inventing your character’s abilities. They are all fallible, mortal, human beings. The animals are also limited to what they can realistically, physically do.
  • - I would like you to do a bit of research into the abilities of the animals you choose so you have a grasp of the strengths and potential character traits of your animal.
  • - If you wish to contribute to the plot I encourage it, but please post your ideas in the OOC chat so everyone can read and build ideas together.
  • - I must approve your profile before you can begin posting.
  • - Please put ‘agent’ before your character’s name in the ‘name’ line of the CS, example: ‘agent Amber Strong’. This is to show me you read the rules.
  • - You can choose any extant (i.e. not extinct or mythical) animal you like, again, there is only one exception to this rule for reasons. I will not accept any more. Please also choose animals that can be moved in standard vehicles easily. I do not advise something like an elephant, or a sea creature.

Agent Amber Strong​

Name: Agent Amber Strong
Age: 25
Appearance:
Amber is of a Taiwanese background. Her frame is deceptively petite and hides her unexpected strength built from daily muscular training. At 5’2” no one would expect Amber to bring as much hurt as she can. She is lithe, flexible and quick. Amber’s face is almond-shaped with a pointed chin and alert but soft eyes which are a warm nut-brown. She wears a tailor-made modern suit woven from carbon steel fibers that acts as flexible armour. It can deflect bullets fired from most hand guns. Underneath the suit Amber wears a crisp, clean work blouse that shows off the bar-code tattoo on her collar bone that matches the one on her cheek. Remnants of her gang work.

  Amber works very hard to keep herself serious and professional. She was given a chance with the Watch and she can’t blow it. Her attitude is almost always harsh and no-nonsense initially, but when she is forced to lighten up one will find she has a powerful sense of humour and a gentle and compassionate heart. When she gets to know people better she often expresses her high opinion of them by teasing, a trait she adopted from her companion Calista. It is very rare you’ll ever get Amber to open up. Every attempt will often be met with either humour or a threat of bodily harm. That being said as soon as one of her team members is suffering Amber will be right there with a comforting hand. Despite what she will tell you Amber cares for people a great deal and because of that and the shadows of her past there is sometimes a slight vulnerability to her demeanor.
  Time and past events has tempered her rash enthusiasm for spy work, leaving her a little more cautious and reserved. On occasional moments it is easy to see that events she has lived through still haunt her and she carries a lot of guilt over those things she thinks she could have influenced.
  
  Getting Amber angry is easy if you know how: her temper is much better guarded than her animal companion but a blatant disregard for protocol and an indifference to the well-being of team members is an effective way to send Amber into a fury. Befriending her is equally as easy though as showing her a unique talent or the willingness to work with a team instead of against it is a very good way of raising her opinion of you. Amber's care for her team can sometimes come off as motherly, though its always delivered with an awkwardness stemmed from her conflict between professionalism and her devotion to the well-being of her team. She is at a loss when expected to show affection and generally tries to avoid situations where it is needed. That being said she makes a wonderful big sister and tends to spend the extra time for younger members of the team to help them learn and adapt to life with the Watch. Overall Amber is professional, with a good sense of humour and a softer side she tries not to express.
  
  Character flaw: Amber does not know when to be kind to herself or ask for help, this often leads to her pushing herself beyond her limits and saying nothing of the trouble she is having until it interferes with something important.
  
  Extra: Amber will take it to her grave, but she likes looking nice, and listening to love songs and watching sappy romance films. She also has a soft spot for Simon Sinclair, but she will do her best to take that to her grave too.
  
  Least favorite animal: Sharks…centipedes, but she’ll never admit the last one openly.

  Pro hacker: Being trained by a very shady dealer in the slum where she grew up and by the expert in the district gang there is almost no computer system Amber cannot get into.
  Hand to hand: Amber is well-trained in street fighting and professional hand-to-hand combat, getting each skill from her time in the Tokyo gang and the Watch respectively.
  Vehicle operation: She can drive most forms of vehicle and fly a helicopter with some competency.
  Information broker: Though she does not advertise the fact, she still has some connections to the Tokyo underground and can pull up information that very few people have access to.
• Amber grew up in a slum deep in Tokyo. Her parents immigrated from Taiwan and worked two jobs most of their lives in the factories just to put bread on the table for her and her sister. There was precious-little money for schooling and no one around to take care of the sisters, so it was pretty easy for them to turn to crime. Life was ok when she was younger, not knowing anything else, small victories like stealing food kept the morale up, only when she grew a bit older did she realize that she was trapped in that life with no way out. That was when she turned to more dangerous people, to find an escape. She fell in with a local gang who taught her the ins and outs of breaking in, drug trafficking and money laundering. When she showed promise with computers the leaders had her trained as a hacker to cover digital trails. Her sister, who was not so gifted with computers opted for a drug runner, eventually getting involved with the shipment operations between producers and sellers. She was only 15 at the time, one year younger than Amber.
  
  Life was pretty good at that point. They were making money, providing for their parents, who wanted to ask where it had come from, but were too afraid of the answer to do it. The gang had even organized Amber’s bonding, running their own personality exams and coming up with a set of animals for her. She bonded with Calista right away and when the civet showed as much promise for hacking as Amber did she thought her life would only get better. That is until the raid. It turned out that a lot of the money gained from the operations was being poured into a scheme that had since been considered by the government as a national security threat. The operation was busted at all five head points and Amber’s sister was killed when the special ops team hit the warehouse she worked from.
  The fight left Amber completely when she heard the news. She was rounded up quietly and waited for her punishment with an odd eagerness. She had brought her sister into the game, she blamed herself. When the Watch agents came for her instead of the prosecutors she couldn’t believe it.
  
  Amber spent the next few years training seriously. With a legitimate way to provide for her aging parents she didn't want to blow the opportunity. Passing basic, she was introduced to her first team in the final test of the training program. Amber grew to love them like a family, but when she was chosen to lead them, she didn't have a lot of self-confidence. With her sister's death still plaguing her, Amber wasn't sure she was the right person for the job.
  That particular mission took them to Singapore, facing a massive mythical beast that had been provoked into a rampage. They engaged the animal, which resulted in the deaths of all but one pair of agents: Simon and Jimbo. Amber blamed herself, and when Simon left the Watch without an explanation, she was convinced he held the deaths of their team over her head as well.
  
  Since then Amber has risen through the ranks of the Watch, mainly involved in training and solo operations, not until recently having the confidence to head another team.

  Name: Calista
  Species: African Civet
  Personality:
  Calista has a temper and little patience. She has a sharp tongue and does not suffer fools or overconfidence in her team mates. She is not afraid to voice her opinion, even if it is inappropriate. Calista can come off as a bit of a grump, but one that isn't irritable without a reason.
  On the flip side Calista is soft-hearted and would do anything to keep her partner from harm. She can't stand to see people cry and does things to cheer them up in her own, gruff way.
  Calista isn't shy about anything, especially voicing her opinion. She isn't afraid to let people know how they are doing, be it well or...not so well. This can sometimes lead to offense being taken and her levels of diplomacy sometimes make Amber cringe. She is smart enough to realize when she has crossed a line however and can become apologetic if she has truly hurt someone.
  
  Calista knows that Amber can sometimes be too harsh on herself and has refined a few techniques to help boost confidence. She is an excellent motivator and pretty good at giving council to those who ask for it...and sometimes to those that don't. Calista meets affection with an irritable dismissal at first but actually adores the attention. She has a softer side, though she will not admit it for anything, not even the most advanced upgrade to her ultralight gaming notebook (She has a proper tower back at HQ).
  Calista is a big drinker and it is one of the ways she relaxes and gets to know the people around her. She is a firm believer that you've never truly met someone until you've met them drunk and does her very best to make sure she meets the 'real' you at every opportunity.
  
  Strong-headed and overly-opinionated Calista comes off as gruff, foul-mouthed and generally impatient, but underneath lies a heart of solid gold and a deep love of people both human and animal. Calista truly believes in what she and Amber are working for and is a very dedicated member of the Watch.
  
  Character flaw: Calista’s temper is her biggest enemy, often driving her to say things she later regrets or make decisions that affect the function of her team.
  Skills: Calista is just as competent a hacker as Amber, likely, she is even better now as she has had more time to refine skills and adapt her method to new security systems. Her small size (about the size of a house cat) also makes her very good at sneaking through vents and other methods of infiltration not open to humans and larger animals. She has excellent low-light vision and good senses of smell and hearing.
  Extra: Calista is a hardcore online gamer with the battletag “Civet Disorder”.

Agent Alec Desrois​

Name: Agent Alec Desrois
Age: 28
Appearance: Alec is tall and slender with dark brown and rebellious hair. His jaw is narrow but nicely squared and his yellow-green eyes hold a gentleness over a deeper intensity and intelligence that is often masked by his indifferent demeanor. Alec always dresses well, usually in a deep green shirt and vest, with elegant shoes and fitted trousers. When he is working in the clinic he wears a white lab coat and glasses for his far-farsightedness. Alec stands with a lax posture and it is unusual to see him stiff or tense.

  Alec is light-hearted and easy-going in nature. He loves a good joke and indeed it’s hard for anyone to get him to take things seriously. He always enjoys a laugh and this could be with or at others, the difference is moot to Alec. That being said he is not afraid to do what needs to be done and if that means being direct and oftentimes ruthless then so be it. Alec tends to have a bit of a mean side but it is most often cached behind thick layers of joking frivolity. Alec doesn’t seem too bothered by what others think about him. It rarely ever affects how he treats them which can sometimes catch people off guard. Beside Duik he can seem a bit serious at times, the hyena’s carefree spirit and the fact that Alec cares so much for him can make him seem a bit of a worrywart. Recently Alec has refined his caring side, toning down his frivolous attitude and taking things a little more seriously.
  Since his involvement with the watch he's been given a whole new set of reasons to worry about his partner. Duik has been slow to develop any of the instinct an agent of the Watch should really have and this concerns Alec more than most things.
  
  If you want to make Alec mad, go after Duik. Generally Alec is even tempered and not a lot can get to him. Hurting the hyena is a fast track to Alec's blacklist. Making friends with Alec can also be done through befriending Duik, but the way to spark his interest is through music. Alec is a devoted violinist, and thought he was forced to pick it up when he was younger, the fact that Duik inherited his talent for it through the bond motivated him to practice and become better. Music brings out a softer side of Alec that he isn't comfortable showing on a regular basis.
  If you get hurt you can immediately bring out Alec's doctor demeanor and he'll care for you with an adamant warmth that is hard to escape. good luck getting out from under his care if he decides to consider you a patient, he is extremely devoted to his work as a healer.
  
  Overall Alec is lighthearted and not very serious, though he can seem that way when put next to his partner. He is fiercely devoted to protecting the hyena Duik and is an exceptionally attentive medic.
  
  Character flaw: Alec can let his temper get the better of him, especially when it comes to protecting Duik, ever since the incident where his animal companion almost died. This can lead him to make quick and irrational choices, and putting the well-being of his partner over the safety of the group.
  
  Least favorite animal: Pigs…they’re so…naked…and weird-looking…I just don’t like pigs.

  Veterinarian and field medic: Alec is competent at treating a wide variety of injuries and illnesses in a lot of different animals. He is also running his qualifications for field medicine in humans.
  Firearms training: Alec is an excellent sniper, able to use the most advanced form of rifle. He has a good eye and a talent for compensating his shots for weather.
  Computer hacking: Though not half as skilled as Amber of Calista, Alec dabbles in computers, able to bypass the more simple systems to access information.
  
  Extra: Due to his upper class education has several developed talents though he does his best not to advertise them: He can play the violin, horseback ride and isn’t terrible at basketball.

  Alec was born to a family whose wealth was matched only by their ruthlessness in the corporate world. His future was planned out by his parents at age 5; he would study and become the CEO of his father’s company. Alec didn’t seem to mind either way until he turned 15 and was matched with his animal companion. Alec will never forget the first time he locked eyes with the hyena. The light that flooded into them, a snap of intelligence and an instant knowing that they would be the most important people in each other's lives.
  Duik taught him more about himself than anything ever had and brought to light everything that Alec had been forced to keep locked away by his overbearing father. Alec had been forced to learn the violin, and hated it, but Duik's love for music brought out a passion for the instrument that he'd never known. Much to his embarrassment at admitting Alec has been a very selfish and egocentric child, not knowing how to care about someone. Duik taught him that too. His carefree innocence was something that Alec felt a deep-seeded need to protect, and that need only grew stronger when his father found out that Duik was far from the cold, ruthless creature he was supposed to be.
  Alec's father quickly grew to hate the hyena but Alec would not be separated from Duik even for a moment. He began to fear his father would try to remove Duik from his life, but his father's efforts only managed to bpush Alec closer to his companion.
  
  He began asking questions about the dubious conduct the company seemed to be approving, speaking out against the unethical choices it was making, and the little freedom he was given to run things he used to repair some of the company's unscrupulous practices, losing millions of dollars over the span of a year. His freedoms and decision-making powers were removed after that but Alec didn't stop trying to change the company.
  When his father moved to put security measures in place to prevent Alec from making his company more honest Alec brought the whole thing to a climax when he flat out refused to inherit it. A month later there was an incident which nearly cost Duik his life:
  Alec had tried so hard to choose someone outside of his father's influence, but the girl he began admiring had been a handler, loyal only to the man Alec then realized he hated the most. He only left Duik alone with her for a moment, but when he heard the sound of a gun he realized he'd make a terrible mistake.
  By some miracle the bullet didn't kill Duik and the woman had run before Alec arrived, leaving him to rush Duik to the hospital. That night, as he sat beside his partner, watching the hyena fight for his life Alec hacked into his father's records. He began to erase all traces of himself. Every school record, every internet post. Alexander Kane jr. vanished from existence, and Alec Desrois had just been granted a scholarship to a very prestigious veterinary science program.
  
  Alec made his way with nothing at first, but he was smart, and hard working, and with Duik by him, there was nothing he felt he couldn't do. He was employed at a bonding clinic after his program and fell in love with studying everything about the special bond that was built between a human and their unique animal partner.
  There was only one time his father came close to finding him, and this sent Alec straight into the military for two years to escape being discovered. There he learned how to use a sniper rifle and it was this military training as well as his veterinary expertise and bonding knowledge that flagged him as a good agent for the Watch.
  Alec and Duik have been agents of the watch for a full year now, and they still have a lot to learn.

  Animal: Spotted hyena
  Name: Duik (Doo-ik)
  nicknames include: Duke, Dukey, D and D-man (which he mostly made up himself)
  Personality:
  There doesn’t seem to ever be a time when Duik is laughing or cracking jokes. His care-free and jovial nature is often infectious (as Alec can attest) and is matched by a big heart and a strong sense of right. He often acts as Alec’s conscience and doesn’t hesitate to speak his mind or tease his partner when the thinks Alec is being unreasonable. Duik tries his best never to judge anyone and always believes in the best in people. This particular trait gives him the special talent of bringing out the best of people. Duik is excellent at finding out just what makes people be their most positive selves and dragging it to the surface. Duik gets excited very easily and his enthusiasm is matched only by his absolute joy at watching others succeed. Duik is the biggest nerd you are likely to meet and his interests vary greatly, from comic books to video games, movies and random trivia. His greatest passion however is for music. Duik has a fantastic ear and though he doesn't have the means to play many instruments, computer tech has given him an outlet for his insatiable passion: Duik is a talented DJ.
  
  Duik never really does angry, it just isn't in his emotional range. He can be hurt, afraid or worried for someone, but it was as if the space for anger was never really filled. Opnely criticizing Duik in a serious and mean way hurts his feelings, and he doesn't try to hide the pain. He's not very stoic about taking criticism and this stems from being openly hated by Alec's father for being nothing more than himself for such a long time. His self confidence is easily tipped over and this can make him vulnerable. When praised however Duik blooms. He delights at being the center of attention and adores it when people enjoy the things he creates. Though he's not an intrinsically competitive person, he loves friendly challenges. When no one has opinions on his ability, Duik is very happy to try new things, not caring how good or bad he is at them. Duik makes no secret of holding his friends close to his heart and overall he is one of the best friends you could ever have.
  
  Character flaw: Duik is oftentimes much too trusting and is most certainly gullible when his guard is down. It is very hard for him to be suspicious of anyone as he's only really ever looking for good.
  
  Extra: Duik’s dream is to become one of the best DJs in the world, his mixing skills are pretty good and he has a good ear when composing new pieces. He drives Alec crazy with his love of music, insisting that his companion listen to every single artist from Black Sabbath to Beethoven.

  Nickname: Beth
  Age: 22 Years Old
  Appearance:
  Stands about five and a half feet tall
  Weighs about 130 pounds, slim build but surprisingly strong
  Her skin is olive-toned and tans easily. The bridge of her nose is prone to freckling. Her hair, which is naturally wavy, is a medium brown that tinges blond in the sun. Her eyes are bright blue, somewhat almond shaped.
  She has a small birthmark on one ankle; it is roughly a circle, about the size of a quarter, several shades darker than the rest of her skin. She also has a scar on the inside of her thigh, about 5 inches long and in a straight line.
  At the age of 18, she had the small, black and white soaring owl tattooed on her shoulder blade.

  Beth tends to come off as someone who always has their head in the clouds, which is not inaccurate. She is an observer by nature, and has a keen mind for details. In groups of people, she usually moves to the edge and chooses to be mostly quiet, but it is never out of unfriendliness. She likes to read people from afar first, get a sense for how they talk, how their face moves, what to expect them to say. Her own face tends to be intensely expressive, even though smiling isn't all that common. People closest to her could learn to read her eyebrows for a constant feed of her emotions. And even though she doesn't talk much to other people, she understands them, and feels with them deeply- she considers empathy to be her greatest attribute.
  Beth makes decisions based on some instinctual moral code that she can't articulate and doesn't care too- she feels 'it's the right thing to do' is plenty of justification without explaining why she thinks that. Prone to shrugging, she simply isn't one for long explanations. Her rebellion against authority in her teenage years has morphed into rebellion against what is wrong with the world. Her giving nature is another great strength, but also her great weakness.
  The guarded part of her personality revolves around her hesitance to trust people fully, without good reason. Beth isn't hostile, or outrightly distrustful, but she casually avoids depending on people until they have proven themselves time and time again. She prefers to do things for herself, and keeps her circle tight- usually just her and Totus. Things like her past, her sexuality, and the intricacies of her relationship with Totus are just a couple topics that she considers off-limits to others.
  Outside of her more guarded attitude, Beth has the potential to be a bubbly person. As a young teenager, she had a reputation in her hometown for being a vivacious (read: party) girl, one who turned heads with a bright smile and a love for life. She still loves life, but has matured into enjoying the quieter things- a good cup of tea and a pastry, the way naps are better when it rains, small gestures to show people she cares, or even just having a warm, dry place to sleep. One thing she didn't mature out of was her temper. Even though she doesn't get truly angry very easily, she can be impatient, and gets annoyed relatively easily, especially when she is hungry, or when pressed about her upbringing. It does take a lot to goad her into true anger, but once that bridge is crossed, it's usually burned. Beth doesn't hold angry-grudges, but she doesn't easily forget how people have behaved before.
  She loves to eat; the way to Beth's heart is through her stomach. Pastries, breads, and pastas are her favorite- as well as deserts that involve those. Totus often scolds her for chewing on her nails, or the inside of her cheek, while thinking.

  Character flaws:
  Beth is not, and never has been, someone who can easily hurt other sentient beings. Hesitating to deal a decisive blow could easily become an issue for her, especially if she feels any sort of connection with whomever she is fighting.
  She is highly empathetic, so these connections could be very small, and one-sided.
  This extends into her inability to take care of herself first; she would willingly enter a fight injured or over-tired if it meant someone else would not.
  
  Least favorite animal: Bears- she and Totus both consider them to be dangerous, unpredictable scavengers, and are prone to bias against people paired with them
  
  Skills and talents:
  Tracking/Search and Rescue: After coming back into the world, they decided to take their natural ability into a career. They've become extremely skilled in natural areas, and are currently working on getting better in urban areas.
  
  Wilderness survival/hunting: Beth and Totus lived in an abandoned cabin for almost 4 years. During that time, she worked odd jobs in town to earn money to buy supplies, but mostly they lived by hunting, fishing, and trapping animals. The only supplies they really bought were weapons, and first-aid gear. She isn't heavily trained in medicine, but knows enough from her experiences and a few classes to get people through until professionals arrive.
  
  Weapons: Beth is fair with a bow, and understands the concept of handguns. But she prefers, and is skilled with, a no-fuss hunting rifle and knife. She can set a reasonable snare as well, but finds them tedious.
  
  Extra:
  Beth is also one of those people that naturally falls into a "mothering" role. She's a fair cook, enjoys baking, and can be surprisingly affectionate for someone who tends of come off as distant.
  
  Even though they can't truly read each other's minds or feel each other's pain, their bond runs into unique territory because their sense tend to blur together when they're in the same place. Totus's sharp hearing bleeds into Beth, and Beth's sense of smell sharpens Totus's. They only recently noticed this, and Totus thinks it may be something that could be honed and used.

  Beth's life began with her family, which was just her mom and dad. They were.. odd ducks. They moved to a small town, so that there would be less chance for their daughter to get in trouble. Part of that trouble, apparently, was bonding with an animal. Her parents were what some would call "religious fanatics," but Beth didn't realize that until she was nearly 20. They were both immigrants to the US; her father was from Germany, and her mother from Turkey. They had her when they were still a little young, and she was their first and only.
  As a child, she was more wild and lively than her parents were prepared for, and by the age of 10 she was officially considered "a handful." She spent a lot of time in her room, writing apology letters to whoever she had 'wronged.' Usually, it was just her parents. When she got into high school, her wild side blossomed. She became particularly friendly with the male jocks, and was soon a regular visitor to the high school's party scene. That was something her parents could not control, as much as they did try.
  
  They were able to control whether or not she bonded with an animal, which she didn't, for quite a while. It wasn't until her life was spiraling out of control that she met Totus.
  At 16, she decided to run away from home with the guy that she was into at that point. They jumped into his truck after the homecoming game, the back full of camping equipment, and took off. Three days later, she was hundreds of miles from home, watching that same truck drive away and leave her stranded in the woods, injured, with just a tent and a package of hot dogs. She had.. rebuffed him, and fought him when he insisted, so he left her out there, hurt and terrified. She still gets uncomfortable around certain men, and bears, as that was his matched companion.
  It was that night, that she met Totus. She was huddled by what was left of her fire, when the owl swooped out of the sky, and caught a mouse that was scurrying through the weeds a few yards away. Their eyes met, and that was the end of her life as she knew it.
  
  Totus, for his part, was separated from his mother, too young. He was put in a more shady bonding facility, but after being there for several years without bonding, they turned him loose back into the woods. He was living as a wild owl when he swooped into Beth's life.
  
  Now bonded, she couldn't go home even if she wanted to; her parents would've thrown her and her 'demon pet' out instantly. Not that she wanted to go back anyway- how embarrassing was it to run away from home with "the love of your life," and then return alone, with new scars and fears? It just wasn't possible. She would have starved to death, if not for Totus's hunting. Which was lucky, in a way, because it won her over from being angry and confused, and soon they were inseparable. The pair found an abandoned hunting cabin that was still in acceptable condition, and made a home.
  
  Beth didn't move out of that cabin until she was almost 20 years old, and by the time she did, she was a seasoned outdoorswomen, with experience in hunting, fishing, trapping, and an uncanny talent for tracking. Beth and Totus reintegrated with society eventually, although they still prefer to hang around the edge. They trained as a search and rescue team, dabbled in emergency medicine, and have been doing odd jobs in that line of work for years. They had moved to the northwest coast of the US, because Beth likes the rain, where their work started to get a little attention. They happened to help on a case that was already in the news, and even though they weren't officially connected with it, it caught a certain agency's eye.
  And that's how the Watch became their most recent employment. Beth had to convince Totus it was a worthwhile thing to do, but now he's beginning to see how it could be fun. That, and Beth is finally forming her own 'pack' or family or whatever, which he knows is important to social creatures like humans.
  
  Their skills are no good in a training facility, so for the last year, they've been helping the Watch identify smuggling routes all over the world. Its made it almost impossible to keep in touch, since she refuses to email or text, and time zones are weird and letters take weeks. After a few months, contact to her old team died out, as the Watch began moving her more and more frequently, only keeping her in one place for about a week each time. The intensity started to wear on her, so she packed up her bags and told her supervisor she would be back in 3 weeks. She and Totus aren't sure if they will go back- it depends on how their vacation goes.

  Totus looks like any other barn owl, albeit a little prettier, but is slightly darker and more speckled than most males. Since he is bonded, his eyes show a clear intelligence that the average barn owl doesn't have. His wingspan is nearly 50 inches, and he is almost 16 inches long. Although he only actually weighs about 2 lbs, most people find him uncomfortably heavy.

  To other people, Totus comes off as unapproachable and a little pretentious. His heart-shaped face really doesn't show emotion, and he is often intentionally vague with his statements to put other humans off. Totus has a dry sense of humor, and is not above teasing those he thinks are unintelligent. Beth doesn't appreciate it, though. Totus craves engagement all the time, and doesn't share Beth's love of books and naps and tea-time. He is still a bird of prey, and prefers flying and hunting to any indoor pursuits. Occasionally, a brain teaser will catch his eye. He is a bit of an adrenaline junkie, and loves to show off, but subtly. He hates the way people have nervous, excessive movements, including Beth, because it makes noise and distracts him from 'what is important.' Totus fancies himself a very interesting and admirable bird.
  
  Within his relationship with Beth, he can be very different. She was a terrified, lost little girl when they met, and his is fiercely, almost dangerously, protective of her. He doesn't usually resort to violence, but for her, he would. He has applied himself diligently to getting to know her, and understands her as seamlessly as he understands himself (with the exception of her sexuality, which he still struggles with). His cold demeanor melts with just a word from her. His favorite way to bond with Beth is a sort of mutual preening- Beth calls it cuddling, and he hates that.
  His patience is what sets him apart from Beth; every obstacle that makes her swear, he accepts as a new opportunity for betterment. With cases they work, or with Beth herself, it seems he could wait years for an answer. This does not apply to people, however. He finds people outside of Beth is be boring, useless, and completely confusing. They just don't make sense, not in the way she does. This is where his distant nature actually stems from- he hates feeling unintelligent, and not understanding humans is the only thing that makes him feel this way. He judges others harshly, and doesn't take into account what their reasons may be for doing something.
  He also has a selectively-lazy streak. If Beth is the tortoise, he is the hare. If left to his own devices, he will waste his time for days, until something arbitrarily interests him, and then he dotes on it obsessively. Eventually, he loses interest again and just abandons it.
  
  Character flaw:
  The barn owl can be judgmental; he values intelligence, morality, and loyalty, and if he thinks someone fails in one of these, he doesn't hesitate to dismiss them. This is one of his bigger flaws, the other being that he tends toward self-service. If it doesn't benefit him or Beth, and it isn't fun, it's difficult to convince him it's worth his time.
  He is also a little proud, and doesn't always have thick skin. Offending him is much easier than apologizing to him.
  And, as an owl, he isn't much help in a strictly on-the-ground situation, and he has a small fear of small, enclosed spaces, like caves or boxes.

Simon Sinclair was born in Detroit Michigan in 1988 to Ethan and Donna Sinclair. He was the first born of the family when Donna was only 16 years old, only a year after her pairing with he Dove named Grace. His father, whom was 18 at the time and paired with a badger named Rufus, was a devoted man to Donna. The two had been best friends since a very young age. So, when he found out about the pregnancy, he used all the money he had saved up and the two got married and got their own place together.

Ethan began working in one of the smelting factories within the city that would melt down and create metals for the cities most booming industry, automobiles. Donna did what she could with odd jobs ranging from cleaning for people, to helping her father with the financials of his small auto mechanic business. There was tension within the family, mostly between Donna's father and Ethan, but over time the her father realized that Ethan was doing right by his daughter and the family bonded over its newest member when the time came.

Simon was only the first of 5 for Ethan and Donna over the years. His younger sister Brie came next 5 years after him. Then his second sister Rachael 3 years after Brie, and finally, the twins were born 10 years after Rachael. But before the twins were born, Jimbo arrived in the family in a very unexpected way. While at the circus one day, right around Simon's 15th birthday, Simon became separated from his family while trying to find the bathroom. He stumbled into a back area where animals were kept for some of the shows, where in he found a cage with a Juvenile gorilla in it. Like a sirens call, Simon and the gorilla approached one another and touched hands. The bond between them was formed instantly, and Simon helped to free the gorilla from its cage before returning to his family. Under the laws of Bonding, if an animal and a human are bonded outside of normal means, the animal is relinquished to the family immediately. Jimbo and Simon's bond developed quickly, and amidst all of his sisters, Simon was finally able to have a brother.

His littlest brother and sister where the biggest surprise tot he entire family, and when they were born Simon and Jimbo began working with his father and his grandfather to help support the family. While Jimbo enjoyed working with Simon's father int he mill more, Simon spent as much time as he could in his grandfathers shop learning how to repair and build automobiles. Simon learned quickly, and when his grandfather passed away and his mother took possession of the business, she allowed Simon to work as a full employee for her.
For 6 years, Simon worked in the shop helping to support his family even after he had moved out of their tiny 3 bedroom apartment into his own. Some days, he and Jimbo would split off and Jimbo would go and work with Ethan at the mill. On one such day, Jimbo came barreling into shop looking for Simon. He was out of breath having run all the way from mill to find him. There had been an accident, and Ethan had been trapped under a large steel beam when a crane failed. They rushed Ethan to the hospital, but by the time Simon and Jimbo had arrived, he was gone. Ethan had been the rock of the family, working tirelessly to provide for them all. They received a small compensation for the accident, but with 3 children still needing to be taken care of, it would not last forever. It fell to Simon to provide for his family now, and he would do whatever it took to do that.

Simon worked in his shop every day from dusk till dawn. He would mostly work on cars, but when word got around how good he was, he began to attract a different type of clientele. He was contracted out to began designs on a vehicle that could be used for less, savory, applications. A tank, that would not be limited to treds and the ground. Simon accepted the job, the money was too good not to. After the aquired tank had been delivered to one of his back lifts of his garage, Simon set to work trying to full fill his clients need. However, the tank had been bugged under suspicions that it might be stolen, and when the government arrived to reclaim their weapon, they also took Simon and Jimbo in as well. He knew that they were going to prison for a very long time for what they did, and he couldn't bare the thought of his mother and siblings not having him to help them. To his surprise however, he and Jimbo were confronted by a man who had received word about what he was doing to the tank. The man named Darcy, offered Simon and Jimbo a way out, to join the organization known as The Watch, in order to avoid being sent to jail.
Without hesitation, Simon and Jimbo aggreed and were sent for evaluation and training. They passed their initiations, though it was one of the hardest things that they had ever done. They were assigned to a team with 4 other bonded individuals; Tyrone Summer, Zachary Sani, Nicole Wilson, and Amber Strong. Each brought a unique skill to the group and were regarded as one of the best teams within the watch for a time. So when Darcy came tot he group and gave them an assignment in Singapore, they accepted without hesitation. However, none of them were prepared for what happened next.

After what happened in SIngapore, Simon no longer felt safe as an agent of The Watch. He left without much warning to Strong or Darcy, and returned to Detroit. There he reopened his garage and began working a normal life once more, at least for the next 3 years. Soon however, Simon was called upon again. Code Feral had been executed, and available agents were being recalled back to The Watch to help track down the Feral group of renegade animals. I team was assembled, with Agent Strong at the head, and Simon and Jimbo once more leapt into the fray to try and bring some sort of justice to the group of comrades they lost years ago. However, the trail went cold in Hong Kong, and after being recalled to The Watch once more, Simon decided to stay on as the Lead Mechanic for The Watch while he and many others waited for the Feral group to resurface.

Simon
Simon is both very simple and complex at the same time. The simpleness is easy enough to figure out since it can be broken down into a few very key things that Simon absolutely loves more than anything. The first hes a giant lug of a man who enjoys working out of any kind. Whether it be cardio, weightlifting, martial arts, or his favorite Boxing. Second, is his love for working on vehicles of any shape and kind. Anything from your average sedan, to a military tank. It really gets his engine going. But above all else, is his love for his family. That is one of the few things that has not changed about Simon over the years, even through the hardship of Singapore. His family is the most important thing in the world to him. He would die for his mother and siblings if it meant they would be safe. but its not JUST his blood that he cares so deeply for. Simon has the uncanny ability to form a bond with just about everyone he has ever met. He cares for the lives around him, and if you are lucky enough to call Simon a friend, then your lucky enough for him to call you family.

The complexity of Simon begins when you try and discern the past Simon from the present. Despite Simon's giant heart and giant muscles, Simon unfortunately demonstrate's on occasion a small amount of self control when he feels like action is better than thought. In his younger days, this caused him a great deal of grief with fights, drinking, and trying to make ends meet without thinking of the consequences. He enjoyed a great deal of what life had to offer before joining The Watch and Singapore. Drinking with friends at parties int he city, which would lead to him slumming into his fathers shop late in the morning with very little to no sleep. After his fathers death, the parties seemed to dwindle, but Simon still favored the bottle more than he probably should have. But after Singapore was the worst. Simon drank excessively, he became withdrawn from his family spending most nights in the shop trying to work to keep his mind busy. It was these long nights, some introspective thinking, and Jimbo that eventually helped to clear his head of the grief after what had happened.

After that, Simon changed a great deal. He began to show much more restraint towards his impulsiveness to act, choosing to listen to his common sense more often so he could make better choices. Something Jimbo had a great influence on. He slowed down on the drinking, though he still likes to get nicely buzzed when the occasion calls for it. But the biggest change was being able to face his fears over time. First was rejoining The Watch, the second was returning to Singapore so that he could face his demons once and for all and relinquish the grip that his fears had on him for so long. Everything else about Simon is still the same. He still loves working out, thought he takes more time to teach and help others during their work our routines than he did in the past. He still loves working on vehicles, that vast majority of the last year having been spent on projects for The Watch and its Transportation division. But still first and foremost is his family and his team. Simon sends nearly everything he makes back to his mother and siblings to help them out where its needed and keep them afloat. His loyalty to family and team have never been stronger.

Jimbo
Jimbo, despite his attachment to his partner/brother Simon, has nearly a completely different attitude and perspective on his state of mind than Simon does. The big ape can come across as very stoic the first time you meet him. Though for a gorilla, that is a pretty common trait. Its not that he doesn't like you or any particular thing about you, its just a matter of time. Jimbo has the kind of personality that takes some warming up to. His side ways glances, cold demeanor and somewhat lackadaisical approach to social situations are merely his way of saying "Gimmie some time to get to know you first." This also doesn't mean that he will instantly like you after a few times that he meets you or if you offer him a banana. P.S. DO NOT DO THIS. Jimbo has more patience in his little finger than Simon does in his entire being. Jimbo will wait, and watch, and wait some more, and judge, and finally when he thinks he understand who you are as a person, he will deem whether or not you are trustworthy enough to be relied upon.

Once that barrier has been breached, a whole new side of Jimbo comes to life. He loves jokes, some at others expense some just your regular knock knock jokes. He may roll his eyes at you like your an idiot, but he still loves them. He has also had a natural curiosity that seems to stem from his ape heritage. He enjoys reading books on subjects that seem to be to far outside of his understanding. Some how he seems to grasp the concept which has led to his love of engineering and the small sciences. He loves listening to his iPod, which is loaded down with tons of music and podcasts that cover a very broad spectrum of subjects. However, his greatest enjoyment comes from his guns. He always found a fascination with the devices that were no bigger than a rock in some cases, but managed to deal so much damage. He spends a great deal of time cleaning and maintaining his own set of guns, and a great deal more time in the firing range practicing. He is competent with most fire arms, though handguns are what he is best with.

Unfortunately for Jimbo, or those around him depending on when and where, he has a small issue with his temper. Mind you, when he is in a good mood, he tends to stay that way for a very long time. So seeing Jimbo in a bad mood is something of a rarity. But when he gets in a bad mood its been described as "a furry hurricane of rage". Now while that may not sound the most menacing, it is worth noting that on this same instance, Jimbo hefted a small car into the second story window of a building for someone shooting Simon. That's the biggest trigger for Jimbo's rage, whenever Simon has been hurt badly enough or whenever something has threatened any other member of his family. Like Simon, he holds the Sinclair's in a special place in his heart as his family. He was always treated as a member of it, and so he came to love each and every one of them like his own. So any time any of them has been hurt or in any type of danger, Jimbo has showed his wild side. The worst case was after Ethan's death, which took Simon and several officers to wrestle Jimbo to the ground before giving him a sedative to calm him down. Its been some time since the last time that Jimbo lost control like that though.

The night of August 12th, 2014, Simon Sinclair and his team arrived at Palawan Beach to find it destroyed. The bridges along with many of the beach side hotels and shoping establishments, had been torn apart and destroyed, leaving the beach covered in debris. The group had been sent to detain what they had been told was a small group of "feral" animals that The Watch had been investigating. What they found was a Cryptid Class animal known as the Merlion, an ancient aquatic beast that is half fish and half Lion and nearly 30 ft. (10m) long. The team engaged the beast, but were so outmatched that Zachary Sani and Nicole WIlson were killed in the process. According to Sinclair, Summers suggested a way to try and take the beast, while Strong advised evacuation. However, neither plan was seen through, as the Merlion created a tidal wave that sent the remaining 3 agents and their partners flying backwards. Summers and his partner were killed after being thrown through a building, while Strong and Sinclair were able to use the wave to retreat. The Merlion escaped back into the ocean, and Strong and Sincalair, along with their perspective animals, were evacuated back to home base for debrief.

Name: Agent Barry Halton

Appearance: Usually wears something around his neck. Stands about 180 cm tall.

Personality: Despite his disability being a mute, he can be a fairly social person. He attempts to check in with people when he notices something is different about them whether it is excitement or sadness. He can make a great venting partner considering his extreme patience and his lack of speech. He doesn't mind though, its one of the many pleasures he has. Other such things he enjoys are gardening various plants as it is a rather calm activity as well as the satisfaction of seeing something grow. Listening to BB ramble on about whatever she found interesting that day since there is nothing more magical than listening to your best friend. The occasional work out session with other agents as well as reminiscing about his old acting days. The one thing that brings a smile to his face is seeing others talk with BB as friends. It's been a while since he could talk quickly with her and he feels she deserves some talking buddies. If you want to get on his good side, sharing something of his interest is a good bet. Getting him a new plant to work with or sharing even different works of music/ preforming arts are always accepted by him.

He can be a bit reserved when it comes to talking about his own self. As much as he likes getting to know someone, he will usually make things dull or amusing on his half. He fears being judged for his jobs before hand due to the nature of them being rather sketchy. Only they higher ups would know for file purposes but he is sure they have kept an eye on him since joining. He can get pretty bummed when thinking about that fact but has tried his best to be reliable and a teammate. When others get a bit heated towards him, his fault or not, he will stay calm till he is alone and sulk for a while. Something he does not stand for is those treating BB poorly. She has been hurt before in his absence and feels frustrated by that fact so he refuses for her to get hurt in his presence. If your goal is to make him uncomfortable, bring up the scars on his neck that he tends to hide away. It brings back bad memories during his military time. Something else would be overreacting to his muteness. Apologizing excessively over something you said or did just makes him exhausted and exasperated. Something that makes him stiffen up is if the underground organization, Opal Croc, is brought up near him. Not only does it bring up sour memories but also fears his connections will be severed with the other agents.


Character flaws: A character flaw is his muteness. He isn't able to shout out if he is in trouble or if someone needs to do something during a fight. He relies on BB to do the talking for him. If BB is in danger, he will do his best to stop his current endeavor and rescue her.

Least favorite animal: While snakes can make him uncomfortable, Crocodiles are by far his least favorite. If he can, he will stay in another room.
Skills and talents:

Scouting: He was specially trained for this task by the military. He has a sharp eye can can get a good look if something is amiss about the land. Freshly dug ground to camouflaged objects.

Disguise: Ever since his childhood, he has been in many plays where make up and props were a big part. He understands the methods of creating a decent facial change depending on how much time is given to him.

Ventriloquism: Since he bonded with BB, they have worked tirelessly to perfect this skit. While BB hides, Barry is able to move his lips in sync with BB's talking. The only problem is Barry has a woman's voice during it. They can improvise well but done too much and they will un-sync. Usually on Barry's behalf since BB can be unpredictable at times.

Botany: He has studied his fair share of plants. He can grow different plants for The Watch or tell edible berries from toxic ones.


Backstory:
Barry grew up in a happy, somewhat poor, home with his parents and sister. From a very early age, he was singing like no other. He continued his childhood and teenage years doing choir and drama. He was fairly well known as he took up many of the lead roles. While he was out of the house, practicing for another big role, many birds came to sing as well. It was an amazing experience, he was sure that a bond would happen with one. It only made sense, he was almost 15! Looking around he noticed a little bird that was zig-zagging around. Only small chirps could be heard but it seemed to be very invested in what Barry was doing. Just like that, a bond was formed. A mostly quiet bird at first turned out to be one of the most talkative and hyperactive being we would know.


When the time came, he left his home for California in hopes of making a career out of his talent. Not even a year went by and he hadn't managed much and was running out of money quick. His only option was to turn to the military. Due to a few regulations, the small bird was deemed unfit for such events. Sadly, Barry would have to leave BB behind for both of them. He set up a place where she could live till he came back. Off to the military. There he learned the basics of guns, hand to hand combat, and strictness. It was a rough start, but he started to do well compared to others.


When the time came, he was appointed as a scouter and sent on a mission. A simple 'track down an enemy base and report back' mission. Everything was going well till fire came down on them. The fire fight didn't last long and Barry's team made it out alive. Though, there were some injured. One of which was Barry himself. As they were getting out of the fray, a stray bullet hit the side of his neck. It permanently destroyed his voice box. He was discharged after that since he was unable to report his findings when they needed him to. When he got back he instantly returned to the last know whereabouts of BB only to find it burnt down. Saddness overtook him.


Unable to sing, preform major leads, and unable to find is friend, Barry was unsure what to do in life. He turned to botany at a greenhouse. Every day he would go in, plant some new seeds, water the plants, and move things around. Watching them grow every time he came in was the only thing that made him feel useful. By chance, on his way to the greenhouse, he found a poor little hummingbird on its last leg of life trying to enter the closed building. She had a slightly damaged wing and Barry saw a little of himself in this bird. It even looked like BB if she had more ruffled feathers. The humming bird wasn't talking though, there was no way this was her.Taking it into the house, he nursed it back to health and even let it stay in the building. It had all the nectar it would ever need. After a few days, the little hummingbird regained its strength. Along with it, her strength to speak once again. The reunion was the happiest Barry had ever been. He cared not for the lead roles, the singing, or his wound. Just knowing she was safe again was all he needed to continue.


Life was still hard for Barry. The greenhouse only kept him afloat. He loved working there, but life gets in the way. By chance, he was found by a rather dangerous fellow who said he would pay handsomely for his work. Apparently he had been watching both Barry and BB practicing their improvised speaking as well disguise work. He was impressed and felt that they were right for the job. Unable to really say no to the situation, Barry reluctantly agreed and BB being excited about new things didn't help. With this job, he infiltrated underground organizations along with BB to gather information for his supplier. He never liked the work, but again, life gets in the way. It wasn't till a close call in one job, where they almost didn't make it out, that he decided to drop it altogether. He might have been helping taking down underground crime, but that only helped another crime organization. That isn't he is proud of.

It's been a year since joining the other agents. He and BB have been working hard to help The Watch with infiltration missions via the make up department as well as training often with his usual team he has come to work well with. Appearance: Personality: BB is a bit of a spark for anyone who talks to her. She is always on the up and up. Whenever you see her, she will either be talking to herself about how excited she is with whatever is going on in the moment or yelling it to whoever unfortunately comes across her flight path. Her excitement is always changing along with her surroundings which leads her to seem overly cheerful. It's a lot of energy to hold in such a tiny body but someone has to be the light in dull situations. Despite radiating amusement with everything, she can be a bit of a sassy bird. Do something funny or make a small mistake, you bet she will be over that topic like there is no tomorrow. She feels you have to make light of misfortune so it doesn't sink in. She isn't excluded from her own sass either. She may be happy all the time but the one thing that will get her stunned from joy is someone expressing their excitement of something first. She loves to see the good emotions flow out and doesn't want to get in the way of such a lovely sight. She is also not used to it since Barry tends to be on the mellow side of expression.

It's not always sunshine and happiness with the little one. When people start to get hurt badly, she starts to get flustered. She attempts to help as best she can but has doubts considering her small size. Sadness sets in when she feels she can't fight off enemies for her team which causes her to freeze with all the thoughts of what she should do, wants to do, and can't do. Later, the sadness lingers as embarrassment sets in which leads to over excessive apologizing. BB's anger doesn't show too often since it can be mixed in with the flustered feelings. What really grinds her gears though is when others look down on her about tasks without giving her a shot. She turns that anger into pure energy to show someone up or try to. The only thing that will make her feel better is proving herself right, or getting acknowledge that she did her best. Something that she has a hard time with are birds of prey. She had a bad run in with one during Barry's leave which left her fearful. While she has worked on the issue with the Watch crew, enemy birds can still make her run and hide.

Something that will get you on her hit list is shutting her down without good reason. She loves expressing herself and someone's sour mood is not welcomed. Usually Barry has to intervene before pranks ensue. If you want her favor in anything, get her gifts. Literally anything will do. From shiny and useless to dull but unique, she will have your back. She however does have a soft spot for nectar or sugar water. Especially when she is running out of juice.

Character flaw: BB is very small, needless to say. So fighting is not a strong suit. Best she could do is ram a hand off course. She also can be zipping around battle without accomplishing anything unless someone gives her a sense of direction. A battle plan is best laid before hand so she knows what to do. Something that makes her flee from the area quick is birds of prey freely out and about. The only other place she hides is Barry's scarves. Lastly, she is very loud. Stress just how important it is to be quiet or talking with ensue within a minute.

Extra: Barry usually has a scarf or object to cover his neck to hide the scars. BB has a slight bad wing from her encounter with an eagle. While it doesn't affect her much, it's not fun for her to think about.

  Physical Appearance: Ignore the iceball in the picture. Leandra is not capable of such magic. Though, she does have a jagged, three claw scar spanning diagonally across her back from the left to the right. Also, her correct eye color is maroon, not icy blue, as Leandra is a biological albino, but her eyes still appear icy blue because of color contacts she and her twin brother wear.

  Personality:
  Leandra is, in general, an extroverted and optimistic kind of person. She cares deeply for others and will always put others before herself, even in dangerous situations. She is more than willing to put herself in harm’s way for someone who means something to her. She loves to reach out to everyone, no matter who they or what they look like. She is rarely intimidated by anyone, as she is very open-minded and willing to accept just about anyone for who they are.
  
  Luness’ sense of humor is strong with sarcasm so she’ll often tease someone without any intent of hurting their feelings. Though, sarcasm can often do that unintentionally. Leandra also has a tendency to be a bit of a prankster, which she has even more fun with since Luness became her companion and the two grew inseparable. Lastly, Leandra is a bit of a flirt. And by a bit, I mean a lot. She’ll flirt with either gender, but secretly only likes other women. It is hardly noticeable though since she does not want to be held back by commitment of an actual relationship. She has had plenty of crushes over the years, but always dismisses them as nothing more than feelings that are merely temporary.
  
  A big personal trigger of hers is being too physically close to any males other than her brother and close friends. She gets incredibly high anxiety and could even go into a full-blown panic mode if a guy touches her without her permission. If a guy stays at a safe distance from her, though (basically more than arm's length), then Leandra will stay in her typical flirting attitude and play it cool. She does not like to be seen as weak, especially due to simply being a female. She does her best to make up for her pacifist attitude, by bettering herself in martial arts as a form of self-defense.
  
  Extra:
  Leandra is a lesbian despite her bisexual tendencies in flirting with people.

  Flaw:
  When Leandra is finally intimidated by something, she’ll start stuttering and quickly lose control of the situation, if she even had any control to begin with. It’s hard to break through her to this part of her ‘soft-shell’, but she’ll be easy to manipulate if this happens. This is also the case if she ever encounters any wolves. She got in a fight with a kid’s spirit animal, a wolf, in the past and has a claw scar diagonally along her whole back from it.
  
  Weaknesses:
  
  1. Back: Leandra can hit full-blown panic mode super fast if anyone touches her back. Her twin brother is well aware of this, as well as his and Leandra's own companion, but others may not realize this since she never wears anything that exposes her back. The scarring on her back is a very touchy subject for her.
  
  2. Dogs: While not exactly wolves, just seeing a canine of any breed can send Leandra's heart racing. Once she understands a canine is not exactly a wolf, she may calm down and be willing to pet it especially if the dog is wagging its tail with its tongue lolling out. It normally helps if Falarion is nearby and can tell Leandra that the canine means no harm.
  
  3. Pacifist: Leandra absolutely refuses to cause anyone harm or to kill even if her own life depends on it. This can put her in serious harm's way because she will not fight back in most cases. She has learned some self-defense over the past year of training to aid in this.

  Healer: With the aid of her companion, Leandra is an excellent healer on top of her own personal medical knowledge. She makes a great field medic and can help people with just about any injury, granted that it doesn’t require a surgeon’s level of skill. Leandra also has knowledge of animal medicine and so she not only can be a great field medic for humans, but also for most animals. She might struggle to aid any mythical creatures though, as there isn’t a whole lot of knowledge about them or their biological systems.
  
  Interrogator: Leandra is really good at reading a person’s facial expressions and the tone of their voice on top of being able to manipulate the conversation into her favor. With this in mind, Leandra also can sometimes excel at talking her way out of trouble.
  
  Parkour: For lack of a better word for it, Leandra excels at getting out of trouble in a physical aspect. She’s somewhat of a gymnast in that she can climb walls, scale low obstacles, and even manipulate the environment to aid in her escape (i.e. Avatar: The Last Airbender scene in which a wheelbarrow is knocked over in market and cabbages are now in the way of the pursuer).
  
  Singer: Much like her own companion’s talent, Leandra is an exceptional singer and can sing in the soprano range. Often enjoying quiet time with her brother and singing along with his guitar playing, Leandra finds that she bonds more easily with anyone who is musically talented, especially if they can sing as well.
  
  Prankster: Leandra loves to mess with people beyond just teasing them verbally. She’ll often abuse her own talents or Luness’ abilities just to get at someone. She also loves to make fun of people while referencing movies, TV shows, or even video games so that people often are confused by her teasing in the process, making it all the more hilarious for Leandra.

  Leandra and her twin brother both grew up in Australia, stuck together in the foster care. Their parents abandoned them at the age of three years old when their albino appearances became all the more apparent. More than anything, their parents were beyond creeped out by their children’s red/orange-like eyes. After spending quite some time jumping around foster homes and sometimes getting kicked out of them for misbehavior, the twins finally found a brilliant, wealthy set of parents, who welcome them with open arms. While the parents didn’t have any children of their own, they grew close to the twins over the years to come and never once complained about their physical appearances. Their foster parents even got both of them color-changing contacts at one point, allowing both of the twins to have icy-blue eyes instead. While the twins decided to keep their icy-white, platinum colored hair, they were more than happy to get different colored eyes, as everyone at the schools they went to would always make fun of them for it and isolate the pair.
  
  After living with their foster parents for about two years, the twins were pleasantly surprised on their fifteenth birthdays to be presented with two phenomenal gifts: adoption papers and the chance to get to bond with their very own spirit animals. Over the years to come, their parents helped their children grow accustomed to their spirit animals. When they finally left for college, both of the twins knew exactly what they wanted to do with their lives. Leandra pursued both pre-med and veterinary degrees. Being exceptionally brilliant for her age, Leandra was able to do all that she strove for and even got to graduate school early. Now, she works for The Watch and is inseparable from both her twin brother and her spirit animal, Luness.
  
  For an entire year since their past few missions alongside a tight-knit group, Leandra, Luness, and her twin brother as well as his own companion have worked hard to train at The Watch's official training grounds. They had little experience in true combat or in many serious Watch missions prior to their more recent experiences. Thus, they worked on improving themselves individually. Leandra specifically worked on her self-defense skills with the aid of Laohu, her best friend's companion. She also practiced some poison-making, but it often ended in her burning off an eyebrow or sometimes even burning a feather off of her companion, Luness. Any time she cost her companion a feather, Leandra would normally stop this poison practice for nearly two weeks before being convinced to keep at it.

  Personality:
  While physically appearing to be regal and her voice making her sound even more so regal and wise, Luness is very much like Leandra in that she has a fiery attitude as well as a strong sense of sarcasm that she’s picked up from Leandra over the years. Despite this, Luness does have a regal side to her in the sense that she loves to keep herself clean and will often be sighted preening when there’s nothing in particular to do. While not entirely keen on getting dirty, Luness shares Leandra’s trait of protecting others and so she will put herself in harm’s way for the benefit of a friend of hers or a friend of Leandra’s. Luness takes on the motherly type in the group at all times, doting on everyone after missions and even getting angry with anyone who cusses. Do not test her with your language. She strongly dislikes anyone who drinks alcohol, not personally but when they are actually drinking. She does not even try to hide her disdain for it and tends to try and convince characters to stop drinking, even if she knows it may be hopeless (she has accepted at this point that Manjano is a hopeless case).
  
  Luness can be very determined to help others, even when they do not necessarily want her help. She does not entirely understand boundaries when it comes to making sure everyone is okay. If someone appears to be sad or upset, Luness will more or less harass them and even potentially give them blunt advice until they either accept it or insist she leave them be. She means no harm by it, but it is simply how Luness knows best to help others. With how stubborn Leandra can be at withholding problems from Luness, she has had to learn how to all but force it out of Leandra over time. Historically, she has had success in convincing a drunk Simon to open up to her, so Luness tends to be quite confident in her approach.
  
  Character Flaw:
  Luness is terribly claustrophobic and can panic if stuck in an elevator or just about any enclosed space that restricts her ability to fly.
  
  Extra:
  Luness is capable of healing minor wounds (such as scratches or light bruises) with her tears. She can also burn anyone who is dangerous to her or Leandra, as long as she is within three feet of them or closer. Her flames are completely harmless to herself and Leandra, as well as anyone she wants to keep safe from the flames destructive properties. Her fire is completely controlled by her until it catches some object or person on fire and leaves her body.
  
  Leandra and Luness have a unique bond that allows them to share each other's pain. It is mostly detrimental in that incapacitating one of the two tends to do the same to the other, but it also can have its uses. They can track one another's general location through their shared pain and it also helps them be aware if one is in serious danger when they are separated.

  Manjano has a single claw-like scar running over his left eye and also is permanently blind due to an incident at a young age. Due to this, his left eye is completely gray in color. He puts in icy-blue color contacts each day like his twin sister does, though.

  Personality:
  Manjano is the quiet and tough kind of guy. He doesn’t speak a whole lot, but he speaks when he feels like he has something worth saying. He cares deeply for anyone he lets into his life and will look out for them to best of his abilities. Unlike his sister though, Manjano ultimately looks out for himself first, his companion second, and his sister thirdly, and then Luness lastly. Anyone else would be in the fifth category or maybe not even in a category to begin with. It is less so of him being disrespectful or rude to anyone and more so his initial mistrust of others.
  
  He has improved on being more outspoken over the past year in the company of close friends from the past few missions he was a part of with The Watch. He still is wary of anyone he has never met before, but he is not as disrespectful now. He is more willing to chat with someone he does not know well, but he will get uncomfortable if someone pushes his boundaries. Falarion has helped Manjano warm up to people, as Falarion has become more outgoing over the past year and he tends to drag Manjano around with him to do what he considers to be fun (which tends to be just about everything). Manjano also has a soft spot for his sister and while he does not like to do it in public settings, Manjano does love to play his acoustic guitar so his sister can sing along. He cannot sing to save his life, though, so please do not ask him to try.
  
  Extra:
  Opposite of his twin sister, Manjano is about as straight as one can be.
  
  Character Flaw and Weaknesses:
  
  Flaw:
  Manjano cares for himself and his companion before anyone else and this has been a problem for most of his life. This was especially a problem when he was around the age of eighteen and had gotten in trouble with a group of kids at his high school. His sister tried to help him out of the problem, but ended up getting attacked by one of the kids’ wolf companion, inciting Manjano to defend her since his companion wasn’t in danger at the time. But when Manjano got involved, his companion equally got involved and then was attacked by another kid’s eagle companion. Switching targets to defend his companion when he was downed by the eagle companion and being beaten, Manjano got scratched over and in his left eye, resulting in the blindness and scarring. While he was able to defend his companion, despite his companion suffering similar scarring, Manjano failed to realize his sister had become under attack once more. Thus, she has the scarring on her back due to Manjano choosing his companion over his own twin sister.
  
  Weaknesses:
  
  1. Half-Blind: Manjano hates when anyone is at his left side because of his half-blindness, but sets himself up to be in this position quite often since he hides the fact that he's half-blind. He hates how vulnerable and weak he feels when others know about it and are sympathetic towards him because of it.
  
  2. Being Called Out: Manjano does not handle being in the spotlight too well, especially if someone is challenging him. He will unnecessarily act like a cornered animal, even if it is not that big of a deal.
  
  3. Alcoholic: Manjano can be a bit of a drinker at times, especially when he is stressed. He oftentimes will have a flask somewhere on him and sometimes will even pull it out and take a sip during a conversation if he's beginning to feel uncomfortable.

  Infiltration: Manjano truly excels at infiltration, especially when it comes to sneaking in general. As he already rarely speaks, Manjano and his companion silently communicate almost all the time through facial expressions and even hand gestures. Given this style of communication, Manjano and his companion can get in and out of buildings or compounds without anyone realizing they were ever there to begin with.
  
  Redirection: In a combat standpoint, Manjano is exemplary at using his staff, which is his primary weapon of choice, to redirect hand to hand combat or melee weapon or even disarm his enemies. When it comes to long range weapons, such as guns or bows, Manjano does his best to avoid the enemy altogether or to flank them and catch them by surprise.
  
  Animal Communication: Manjano has always had a way with his companion and finds that he often can communicate easily or even bond with other’s companions as well. Granted, he could never match the bond companions share with their own partners, but he is still capable of at least becoming good friends with them. Because of this, Manjano often prefers time alone with his companion or meeting other companions. He much prefers to being around animals as opposed to humans and he quite often makes this clear to those around him.
  
  Music: While he can’t sing to save his life, Manjano is a phenomenal acoustic guitar player and his sister often will sit down with him and sing along to the songs he plays on his guitar. Playing on his guitar also helps Manjano relax if he’s getting really stressed out about something.
  
  Reading People: A skill mentioned in his backstory as well, Manjano is extraordinary about reading people based on their expressions, tones, actions, and so on and so forth. Since most people don’t appreciate him surprising them with how much he knows about them, Manjano tends to keep his opinions or knowledge to himself. A trial similar in his companion, but for different reasons.

  Much like Leandra’s backstory, Manjano’s story is hardly any different than hers beyond his different viewpoint of the fight that gave him, his sister, and his own companion some scars. Unlike his sister though, Manjano has never been that great at making friends and so he spent most of his life being around his sister and then devoting most of his time to his companion once they met one another and bonded. Manjano was also an accelerated college student like his sister and graduated early with a degree in Psychology. Because of this, he is able to read people really well, so much so that when he suddenly speaks up, he can quite often surprise people with what he says he notices about certain people.
  
  While this is unknown to everyone except the twins and their companions, Manjano spent the majority of his teen years in the Yakuza gang. His sister was only a part of it briefly until Manjano helped her get out of it, but he stayed in it longer than necessary. If anyone were to ask why he had stayed so long, he would slyly reply that their family needed the money at the time. Thing was, they did not need the money after the first three years of the twins being in the gang. At the end of those three years, Manjano helped Leandra get out of the mess, but he remained in it. Manjano is not particularly fond of his memories with this gang, as he was forced to do some things that he will forever regret. At the same time, Manjano secretly enjoyed some of the violent things he did, which is a secret he keeps very close to himself and refuses to share with anyone. The twins joined this gang when they turned twelve-years-old. Leandra left it when she was fourteen-years-old and then Manjano did not leave until about a year later, after he had bonded with Falarion.
  
  For the past year of training at The Watch’s training grounds, Manjano has focused on improving his combat skills with his quarterstaff. Falarion has attempted to improve his agility capabilities, but has mostly just eaten a lot of dirt and mud. Manjano also has worked with Falarion and a special trainer to improve simple skills such as walking in crowds and performing tasks with his right hand due to being half-blind. Falarion acts as his guide companion most of the time, though Manjano does not need him around if he has been at one place for at least six months. As long as nobody moves any furniture around, Manjano can memorize where everything is and avoid walking into anything.

  Physical Appearance:
  Falarion has pearly white fur and icy blue eyes. He also has a scar similar to Manjano's, blindness and all, but his scar is on his right side instead. Because of the injury he sustained to his right eye, and the lack of color contacts for animals, his right eye is obviously the color grey on top of the scarring over it.
  
  Personality:
  Falarion is the complete opposite of Manjano's personality. He is rather gullible and instinctively trusts anyone who is kind towards him or is a cute dog (only Gigi fits this category). He is probably one of the loudest of The Watch members, as he loves shouting in line with his racing heart and almost-always overwhelming excitement for the littlest of things. It could very well simply be because someone has thrown his ball for him to fetch. While Falarion is an endangered species, he has contrasting times in which he exhibits what would appear to be a domesticated dog behavior and then other times in which he will exhibit clear wolf behavior. The only time he is ever violent is when someone he loves or cares about is being attacked, thus pushing Falarion to defend them at all costs. He gets embarrassed rather easily because of his general clumsiness, what with being half blind and all. While he spent the past year at The Watch's training grounds and vastly improved on being less clumsy, it still happens on occasions. Usually, it occurs when he is in an unfamiliar environment.
  
  Falarion is much more relatable to Leandra in terms of his overall personality, though he has his shy moments. They tend to only be around Gigi since he fell for her when he met her and refuses to fall for anyone else. In fact, Falarion was hooked up with a webcam and his own laptop so that he could Facetime with Gigi every once in a while. What with Gigi being a superstar, she often gets very busy, but Falarion nearly has a heart attack from his own excitement each time that he gets to see her again. Beyond his close relationship with Gigi, Falarion has gotten better at his agility thanks to spending time with Duik as of late. While they have been working out the kinks of a great obstacle course montage, the pair have also run the course enough times that even Falarion might be able to run it with his one good eye shut (big maybe).
  
  Character Flaw:
  Falarion actually has social anxiety, which is the main reason for why he’s shy at all. He fears making a fool of himself or Manjano whenever they meet people they don’t know or just in general. Even more so when they’re in public. Because of this, Falarion is highly reserved and thoughtful about whatever he says out loud since he rarely speaks out loud to begin with.
  
  He also is terribly clumsy because of his half-blindness. It is very normal for him to run into objects or even into others because he doesn't really see them in his way.
  
  Extra:
  Falarion and Manjano always communicate through their mental link as opposed to verbal commands because of their shared initial mistrust of everyone they meet.
  
  Falarion LOVES to chase balls and will play fetch for hours nonstop if given the chance. You’ll hear him excitedly shouting, “BALL! BALL!” the whole time, too.
  
  On a more serious note, while Falarion and Manjano cannot feel one another's physical pain like Luness and Leandra can, the pair share a deep emotional bond. When one is grieving or feeling pain from within, the other can sense it and do their best to comfort the hurting companion.

  ↳ In the eyes of others, she has a natural and mesmerising beauty thats draws and allures others in when she walks into the room. Xiao Hui is a young woman quite sought after by men (and women) around her - a sight for sore eyes. With fair, unblemished skin, Xiao Hui's appearance is considered China's "ideal" idea of perfection, like a woman to be displayed and revered. However, as much attention as the young woman receives due to her appearance, she actually hates being looked at in such a light and would rather be looked at with respect which shines most when she exudes confidence and dominance with each stride she takes. But, she is graceful in her movements like the ripples of a wave and holds her head up high as she rarely slouches in her stance, walk, or sitting.
  
  Xiao Hui wears quite modest clothing, rarely wanting to show too much skin, especially her back - a part of her body that is rarely exposed. There are markings, or rather a tattoo that covers her whole back that symbolises who she is and where she's from - a secret only a few know of. Her long, brunette hair extends and reaches past her legs as it is a symbol of her youth and beauty. Though, in her family, it is tradition and old-fashioned to not cut their hair to show societal rank and values. Due to her long hair, Xiao Hui's hair is usually properly fashioned in an up-do that is kept out of her way. She stands at five feet and two inches but usually wears some form of platform shoes or heels to make her taller. Normally, Xiao Hui is seen fashioning traditional chinese outfits since it is what she wears most of the time in the comforts of her quarters. However, it wasn't until a year ago that she had the opportunity of being more involved in Western clothing. Nevertheless, as long as the attire she wears is easy to move around in and slightly loose, she is as happy as a bee.
  
  But, if Xiao Hui had to choose what her best assets her, it is her eyes. She believes the eyes are the windows to the soul. Her warm, chocolate brown eyes can be enticing, especially if one locks gazes with hers. She prides herself on being able to look into someone's eyes and make them feel a little squeamish as if she could see through them, especially their lies. Nevertheless, to a woman - where she is from - reputation is everything.
  
  ↳ Extra: Xiao Hui holds many secrets, but most of all, the tattoo on her back. The tattoo is the symbol of her Household, the House Lao. Many haven't seen her tattoo aside from those closest to her. To enemy eyes, they know not to interfere with her, but to innocent eyes, it looks just like a normal tattoo, one that she didn't have a choice to get. Under her father's orders, she received the tattoo confirming she was the Heir to the House Lao.   ↳ If one were to describe Liang, Xiao Hui's outer personality, it would be strong and independent. She has a calm outer exterior and when the time calls for it, Xiao Hui is able to put herself in a dominant position where she can take charge. She is, first and foremost, a fierce leader with a protective streak. With a keen and observant eye, Xiao Hui would asses her surroundings before getting into the fray. She always plans two steps ahead in advance since she likes having back-up plans to stay organised and efficient. Quick-witted and clever, the young woman can think on her feet, especially in dire situations. Even-tempered, patient, and understanding, the young woman rarely raises her voice, always speaking with clarity. She can be a bit stern, especially when it comes to practicing and training, but will never push someone past their exceeded limit. Xiao Hui wants the best for most, always being considerate of others. Compassionate and thoughtful of others, Xiao Hui can seem motherly, at times, taking into account how someone is feeling. However, at the same time, Xiao Hui is instinctive, usually knowing when someone is lying to her. She hates being lied to but knows when to not pry.
  
  Due to her upbringing, Xiao Hui has to display many different facades where she should never express her emotions or allow others to see her thoughts. She was groomed to never show weakness and never allow others to get too close to her. However, because of her upbringing, Xiao Hui has learned when to speak and when not to speak. Mature and wise, the young woman may at times seem older than she is. Nevertheless, despite her eagerness to learn and study, Xiao Hui has never travelled to many countries unless it was on a business trip with her father or from reading stories in her books. Attentive and open-minded, Xiao Hui still has a child-like innocence to her when it comes to pop culture, modern society, and modern technology as she is more old-fashioned. Although seemingly cold towards those who don't know her or to those who judge the surface, she is soft-hearted, not one to want choose violence but rather by communication. However, there are times where she will do what is necessarily, sometimes making hard decisions that can cause her backlash. But, to sum it up, the young woman can be considered an enigma depending on the layers and side she chooses to express. Nevertheless, one this is for sure, she rarely gives up hope.
  
  ↳ Extra: Although a bit more tamed than her partner, Xiao Hui does participate in pranking others, especially those she's closest to. But, to pass time in her household, she takes her loneliness and boredom and places it into mischevious pranks and tricks against those who are suppose to 'watch' her. Lastly, Xiao Hui has a habit of rambling when she gets excited.

  ↳ Xiao Hui is caught between two different worlds. The world she was born into and the world she wants to be a part of. Like some people who have occupations that require them to be something other than who they are, it is hard for Xiao Hui to find stability in her relationships with others. She can be quite secretive, rarely allowing herself the opportunity to rely on others for support. Even with those she formed bonds with, Xiao Hui still feels as if she needs to act a certain way and be a certain way, never finding herself in the process. However, out of habit, what gets to her the most is her unconscious need to gauge others to see if they are lying to her or not as she has a hard time letting go and trusting others. Guilt has always been an issue for Xiao Hui where she feels too deeply (quite an over-thinker) and she can be too stubborn (plus prideful) to admit it.
  
  As much as she has tried to within the year, Xiao Hui has tried constantly to forgive herself for what happened during their last mission. She is still fighting her inner demons of failing to protect those closest to her. Xiao Hui still, at her core, considers herself a caged bird, trapped under her father's thumb. Although she has grown within the year out of her father's grasp, no matter how hard she tries to flee, there's still some parts of her that is influenced by her father: wary and cautious. She cares a lot for the friendships she's made, but she's also afraid of harming them again, sometimes distancing herself at arm's length to avoid conflicts.

  ↳ Hand-to-hand combat: It was only until just recently, within the past year that Xiao Hui was taught how to use her hands and fist for combat thanks to Simon and Jimbo.
  
  ↳ Firearms: Despite Xiao Hui's training with one of the Agent's at The Watch, she still feels uncomfortable using pistols or any sort of weaponry that requires bullets.
  
  ↳ Strength: The young woman can only pick up items that are close and a little over her weight.
  
  ↳ Claustrophobic: Being in a room with no windows and having no freedom scares her the most. She doesn't like small spaces especially.
  
  ↳ Caught off Guard: Xiao Hui doesn't like being thrown into uncertainties. Even more so, she doesn't like acting before everything is well-thought out. However, if something causes her to move, it is usually her overwhelming emotions. Quite a paradox.
  
  ↳ Personal Bubble: Depending who you are, Xiao Hui has small issues with personal space. If someone touches her without her knowing, Xiao Hui completely freaks out, becoming frozen, immobile. So, at times, surprises may hurt more than be a blessing. Xiao Hui doesn't like being touched by those she doesn't trust, and more or less men who are nothing but. . . dirt on someone's shoe.
  
  ↳ Ballroom Dancing: The only person she has ever danced with, especially ballroom dancing was with Alec for one of their mission in Paris. She isn't well-versed in contemporary styled dances, hip hop, etc.
  
  ↳ Loud Noises: Xiao Hui, specifically, doesn't like the sound of sirens from police cars or ambulances in general. In fact, she would never admit that she's 'fearful' of cops, but she isn't too fond of them, always feeling some urge to hide or run off when the sound of sirens are heard.

  ↳ Medical Herbs | Tea Ceremony: Due to her upbringing, it was required of Xiao Hui to learn the traditional tea ceremony and the meaning behind the methods. Tea has always calmed and soothed her whenever she felt anxious. At the same time, her father always loved her fresh-leaved tea. Because of her need to understand plants, Xiao Hui uses her knowledge to her advance to study herbal medicine that can help some ailments such as stomach aches, running noses, dizziness, and etc. However, because she has knowledge in plants and medical herbs, Xiao Hui knows how to make poison. (A skill she has helped Leandra try to master).
  
  ↳ Acupuncture: As one of Xiao Hui's training, she needs to know pressure points of the human body and an animals. If she knows their pressure points it would be easier for her to accessibly stop her opponents from harming her by a simple touch (used well for self-defense). Acupunture is also another way to release nerves and chi in one's body, removing the pressure which helps her father tremendously. (A second skill set that she wanted to help Leandra learn)
  
  ↳ Agile: Flexible and agile, Xiao Hui has fluid movements and uses meditation to help her concentration and find her "chi". For a runner, Xiao Hui has good stamina and thanks to Laohu who needs to stretch his paws often, the two are often seen stretching, running, and the likes.
  
  ↳ First Aid | Medical Assistant: Before joining the The Watch, Xiao Hui was owell-versed in disinfecting wounds, bandaging wounds, and some stitching thanks to some studying she had done. However, it wasn't until she joined The Watch with help from Alec that she became better at handling the equipments.

  ↳ Musician: Xiao Hui knows how to play many traditional Chinese instruments such as: yan qin, er hu, dizi, and pipa.

Due to the traditional ways of the Liang family, Xiao Hui was groomed to not only be the successor of her Father but to also be able to "breed" a successor and that meant and required practice in the Arts. Xiao Hui only knows traditional Chinese dances.
  
  ↳ Actress: Living two separate lives, Xiao Hui has honed many different skills from blending into the crowd to standing out of the crowd. She is easily able to switch back and for between two personas but it can also be her weakness.
  
  ↳ Multilingual: Quite a fast learner, Xiao Hui has picked up on many different languages due to her love for learning and studying. Besides, most of her childhood was dedicated to studying, practicing, and performing.
  
  ↳ Sword-dancing: Xiao Hui learned how to use a Jian (sword) through traditional-styles of Chinese dancing. Rarely does she use a blade against her opponents unless necessary.

  ↳ Due to her accent, Xiao Hui may have some trouble pronouncing names. For instance, despite being with Alec and Duik for almost two years already at The Watch - Xiao Hui still refers to Duik as "Duirk", but, it seems he doesn't mind it so much.

  ↳ Laohu and Xiao Hui will speak to each other, sometimes, without words. Their strong bond and connection allows the both of them to communicate on another level - a mind link. However, they have to be in a certain distance to hear each other, if they are too far out of reach, they wouldn't be able to feel each other's presence or their voices in each other's head. Regardless, because of their bond, they pride themselves on being able to find each other no matter what - their heart, body, mind, and soul are combined as one, united. They are never one without the other, at least, willingly.

  Intricate. Complex. Complicated. The list could go on if there were any way to describe Liang, Xiao Hui's upbringing. Words can not describe the amount of secrecy and lies that she had to be okay with day in and day out. Looking over her shoulders, making sure she wasn't followed, being ready to seize the day, and eventually making her way to the Head of the Household is something a young child, much less, a young daughter should not have to face and accomplish just for being born into the Liang family where her parents were the Head of House Lao. But, one can't choose their parents, could they?
  
  Outside looking in and the story that has been told for centuries, the Liang family comes from long lines of tradition, keeping their old-fashioned ways rather than keeping up with the modern world. Xiao Hui's home, or rather household expands from miles on end, acres even. Their money passed down from centuries and so have their household. Her father, at least what has been used as a cover up, is a well-respected, strong, and ambitious business person, CEO of his own company. Many people believe that the Liang family are considered 'blue bloods', descendants of royalty due to their riches. Guards are usually on the premises and check-in points are established for anyone who would want to come in and out of the Liang family household. Nevertheless, their neighbors and people know not to bother them, but when given the chance, the Liang family are quite welcoming, if not polite, treating anyone with decency and respect as long as it was given in return. The Liang family may seem like a normal, traditional, if not powerfully influenced Chinese family, but, there's more than that. No one had ever been able to make the distinction.
  
  Underneath the facade, the Liang family is considered one of the highest criminal organised household in China. Xiao Hui is the daughter of Zhuge Liang, the current Head of the House Lao - the one and only mafia boss, right next to the Triads. The difference between the House Lao (Dragon) and the Triad is that they don't necessarily follow the same patterns and goals as most organised criminal organizations would. House Lao isn't involved in a massive drug cartel base, trafficking of any kind, and lastly, rarely do jobs involving assassinations unless necessary. Nevertheless, House Lao is well-respected and honorable as other Houses look up to House Lao for guidance. House Lao is the glue that keeps everything together as they are known for their connections, intelligence, resources, and especially their military personnels, items, and weapons. If anyone needed information, House Lao is usually called as they are the first one to gather Intel within different countries: including the countries' secrets, underground mob events, and finding and tracking other criminals that are hidden. As for their weapons, many other Houses would request weaponry from them, sometimes even hiring personal personnel for assassination missions, knowing they're the best of the best. The House Lao have been around for generation, relied upon for their efficiency and consistency. They are well hidden and aren't known in the eyes of the public, which is exactly how they want it to be.
  
  Her family's power and influence passed down from generation to generation, always stronger than the next. However, with such power comes responsibilities and sacrifices. Because Xiao Hui was the first-born child and it didn't seem as if her mother would bear another child, Zhuge Liang broke one rule of tradition - never holding prejudice between male or female. Zhuge Liang took Xiao Hui and ordered her to study the moment she could walk and speak, training her in self defense and how to run the family "business". He raised her in a manner that was strict and without emotions, sometimes even without love. Her mother was the balance between the coldness. When Xiao Hui reached the age of six years old, her mother was pregnant with another child. The celebration lasted for a year and it was the only time Xiao Hui saw her father truly happy. However, before she knew it, a year passed and her father made her mother and her baby brother flee, wanting to protect his second Heir from the world, hiding them. But, it was during that time Xiao Hui grew attached and came to love her baby brother. Regardless of Xiao Hui's protest, her father did what he wanted and did what he thought was best, taking her brother and mother away from the household. A few years passed by, lonely and missing her mother and brother as ever, Xiao Hui became accustomed to being greeted by different guards and being watched over. Sometimes Xiao Hui was able to trick the guards into playing with her, forming an outside bond beyond her studies. But when she recieved news that her mother had passed away, heartbreak was an understatement. However, what wasn't expected was the result of her baby brother, age seven, missing.
  
  Due to the heartbreak of never finding his son and losing his wife, Zhuge Liang became a madman, set on revenge and finding the people responsible for killing and breaking apart his family. Blood started to stain the household when Xiao Hui was 13 years old. Time after time, the other Houses would try to overthrow her own House, failing incredibly. But, at the age of 15, tragedy struck House Lao with the House almost losing their own home as well as Xiao Hui's almost death day. It was a bittersweet memory as it was the same moment she met her companion: the white tiger Laohu. Before Xiao Hui bonded with the white tiger, they had quite a connection before but kept their distance. Whenever Xiao Hui was feeling lonely or upset, or the need to feel protected, she always felt the presence of the white tiger. Why Laohu took an inkling of interest to Xiao Hui was something she always wondered, but will forever be grateful for. Time continued to pass and Xiao Hui continued to strengthen her bond with her animal companion. Before she knew it, Xiao Hui got into the habit of being the "Heir" and following whatever her father wanted, feeling trapped like a caged-bird. It wasn't until a letter arrived for Xiao Hui from the Watch with a proposition. Without a word, Xiao Hui left with Laohu in the middle of the night, leaving behind her family name and her home without permission. She knew her rash decision would come back around and haunt her, but she didn't know it would happen so soon.
  
  ↳ Xiao Hui's history is a secret from most with an exception of a few. To others, Xiao Hui's background is as mysterious as the next person. But, of course, like other Watch agents, there was a reason she was chosen to become one.

  ↳ Different than most tigers, Laohu has a white pelt with light brown stripes over his frame. Domineering in size, the big cat can intimidate those who are frankly, afraid of them. With paws that could break a smaller animal's neck with a fellow swoop or even stepping on them, Laohu can seem threatening. His emerald green eyes can be mesmerising but there are those who don't see his unique eye colour unfortunately. Always pristine, brushed, and clean, Laohu will never be seen with dirt on his pelt, unless it's due to a mission. He rarely allows his coat to turn brown and loves being free from stains, allowing the sun light to shine down on his beautiful fur.

  ↳ More open in terms of expressing himself, Laohu is usually seen by Xiao Hui's side, standing next to her as the regal and poised tiger that he is. Quite a playful feline, Laohu loves teasing others, usually taking advantage of their fear of him, though he rarely means any harm. Laohu is the exact opposite of Xiao Hui in regards that he's a better follower than a leader. He makes up for what Xiao Hui lacks in as Xiao Hui makes up for what he lacks in. A perfect team. At the same time, he is overprotective of those he grows fond of, especially Leandra and Duik. He's a loyal and faithful companion, always looking out for those who needs him. Despite Laohu's intimidating frame, he is quite cuddly, loving the attention, and being petted. He's rather considered a "spoiled housecat" and an "overgrown-sized cat" than a predator. But, don't let Laohu hear that as he can get offended of such insults which can lead to him wanting to compete and challenge the perpetrator.
  
  Despite being a teaser, he can be quite a good listener, always one to lend an ear and a paw if anyone ever asked. Like Xiao Hui, Laohu knows when the time calls for fun and work. Laohu is more guarded and wary of his surroundings during missions and being back in China. Respected and honored, Laohu considers himself the last of his kind after countless searching for others like him only to come to a dead end. Regardless, Laohu rarely feels lonely, since he has Xiao Hui's companionship and he would practically do anything for her. If Xiao Hui says the word, he would run rampage to those who caused her harm, but he also trust her that she wouldn't allow him to cause misery and harm to others. Laohu trust and respect most animals and humans until they give him reason not to. Though, he is much more versatile and volatile.
  
  Independent and a feline who marches to the bear of his own drums, Laohu can be expressive in terms of his own opinions. Reckless and rebellious, Laohu has influenced Xiao Hui quite a bit, and it is something he is proud of the most. He believes every “child” should have some sort of childhood and be allowed to make mistakes. Laohu doesn’t approve of or rather get along well with those who are commanding, rude, and down-right batty — much like Xiao Hui’s father. He can be aggressive and opinionated in his dislike and be the voice of reason all in one. Laohu will stand up for what he believes in and what he believes is right, even if it means going against authority. In the end, to protect those he cares about, he will do whatever it takes.

  ↳ Laohu is undenidably afraid of his own strengths and anger. He fears his anger would get the best of him that would inherently cause him to lose Xiao Hui. Laohu could never imagine the amount of bloodshed he could cause if he ever went. . . mad. He could only frightening imagine the look of horror on Xiao Hui's face and that's one image he would never want to see. Because of his festering fear of turning against humans and losing himself, Laohu tries to keep calm in the face of danger, relying on Xiao Hui's aura to keep him at bay.

  ↳ Instead of relying on his pure strength, Laohu has been trained to also be agile, keeping up with Xiao Hui's practices. But, most of all, Laohu's 'roar' can make the grounds shake, almost like a feigned earthquake that could potentially blow others away. The 'roar' could potentially make others go deaf and freeze in fear for a few moments. The purpose of Laohu's 'roar' is to protect those around him, especially in a face of danger if they are all surrounded. His 'roar' can be used as a distraction - though, the results could take a turn if not toned down. So, Laohu only uses his 'roar' when it is absolutely necessarily, warning others to take cover.
  
  ↳ Xiao Hui and Laohu have a special bond where they can feel each other's presence. The farther they are apart, the more angsty Laohu gets, worried for his companion. At the same time, the closer they get to each other, the more Laohu can feel Xiao Hui's presence. This special bond can be the same for the mind link they have as well, being able to feel each other's emotion, pain, and voices.[/color]
