Spring marks the first cycle of the third year the academy has been running. As the rebirth festivals and celebrations come to an end, Cledonia Academy welcome back it’s students and the new ones as well. The greenery is starting to bloom and a warm breeze fills the day. Cledonia holds its annual welcome celebration and get students sorted into their rooms and classes. Teacher and staff hurry around preparing for the announcements in the grand dinning hall where students are to head after their arrival to the academy. Some of the older students note the Headmistress is on campus instead of the Headmaster, and are quite shocked at the change. Strangely, the Headmaster Sebastian is nowhere in sight, even the Headmistress seems uncomfortable. Her right hand staff member, Miss Eline blindly stares into the crowd and whispers words to the Headmistress who gazes amounts the students as they arrive. Some by air, a few from the dorms, and some walking into the building by foot. The staff all take their places in the front of the dining hall, waiting for the students to finish finding their seats and get settled in. Usually it would be time for history, but the staff decided only to host electives today so the students had time to get settled in to their academy life.(please have your character arrive on campus and make way to the dining hall. also I forgot to mention but the posting requirement is a paragraph. Sorry if that’s not what your liking, but I have a dislike for short post and it makes me lose interest. )

Snow-17,Second Year-Blood Witch
Mentioned: No one

Walking down the the winding path toward the dining hall, Snow fiddled with the bandages on her arms. She was always bandaged since in her sparring lessons she was trying to learn how to control where her thorns shot out from on her body in order to attack her opponents better. But that meant she was always hurt. Her blood luckily clotted very quickly so she was never bleeding for prolonged times but it still was a pain. Tucking her white blonde hair behind her ear she looked up at all the students arriving. She remembered coming here. She had spoken not a single word to any student, mourning her lost human love and the life she had had before all of this. She had preferred the company of the library, the maps and books there made her imagination wander... What must it be like to be human. Completely human and free to go where you pleased and be with who pleased you.

Snow shook her head and straightened her top from imaginary wrinkles. She had decided to train harder this year. To become tougher and learn more about the magic in her blood. How did it work? Could she control the power she gave? Could in time she even take power and become stronger herself? Snow didn't know any of these things. She had only just learned how to stop the Blood Song from becoming to intense for those of her choosing. And almost none of the students wanted to train with her. Could she blame them? Who would willingly sign up to be put under a sort of thrall?

Her head turned to the left as she went to the doors of the dinning hall, pulling on them with both hands. Inside she was able to find a seat out of the way by a window. She liked looking outside... and dreaming of a time when she was happy and in love. She thought over what she would be doing today as well, first elective was magic sparring. Her arms ached at the thought. But for now in the peace and quiet, she thought of him.

Gabriel
Gabe fell onto the bed as he woke, staring up at the dark ceiling above him. Despite the closet having zero light, his eyes saw each detail perfectly. The torn pictures of his family, the chipped paint on the walls and even the scratches on the door he accidentally created. Using his ability he opened the door and stepped out, staring into the empty hall as he remembered it would soon be flooded once again. He nearly growled at the thought of people coming back into the hall. Gabe had enjoyed the solitude, even if he had been a tad bit lonely. He still hadn’t dated visit his remaining family and he just prayed they stayed out of the academy. He gave the door a mental shove and it closed with a lock click, and he turned and walked down the long hallway of the boys dorms.

He was already in a black shirt and pants, and decided it was good enough to attend class in. Gabe also stopped by the nurse office and decided to go ahead and feed before he attended the ceremony. Cleaning up, he headed to the main dining hall and squinted as he adjusted to the light from the big windows, taking a seat furthest away from them. He noticed a lot of returning students and waited for the event to start or someone to show up that he knew. Absently nicking his lip with his fang and patting his bed head into place. He was rather excited for today since he only had one boring course which was Healing and defense. He was ready to get to sparring with others instead of alone.

Lucas Marlows

Lucas nervously chewed on his bottom lip as he left his dorm room, closing and locking the door behind him. He then headed down to the dining hall like he was supposed to. He had thrown on a simple sweater with some skinny jeans that had a few holes in them, and no he hadn't bought them like that. He stuffed his keys into his pocket and continued walking, glancing around every so often. It was still hard to get used to such a big building, though he would say he was adjusting rather nicely.

He was a little less nervous than he had been last cycle, because he had done this once before, and he knew what to do. At least he hoped so. The bags underneath his eyes were deeper than usual, as staying up last night was proving to have not been the wiser choice. He was now tired and he moved rather sluggishly through the halls. He ran a few hands through his hair and pulled it back into its usual ponytail, his bangs staying forever down as they never complied with him. Still, he'd rather not show off his scar if he could help it, so it was more of a blessing than a curse. Ha, a demon with a blessing, talk about unlikely.

Lucas was actually rather glad that they only had electives today, as that meant he could spend the rest of his day relaxing. He was usually quite hardworking, even when his body disagreed with him, but there were some days he couldn't help but want to do nothing. This was one of those days and as he walked around he slowly found a seat, being in no particular rush. He spotted one of his few friends in the dining hall and smiled softly before walking over to take a seat. He sat down next to Gabe and slumped down a bit in his seat almost immediately, as if he were deflating.

"Good morning." He mumbled out to the vampire, knowing that it probably wasn't actually morning. He hadn't checked the time before he left, and he had just woken up from his hour nap after a sleepless night.

Tempest Wilkins

Tempest was going to miss the peace and quiet, more students naturally meant more noise, and that was something she could do with out. Stepping outside her dorm room she closed the door and was sure to lock both the handle and the dead bolt. She was a bit paranoid when it came to her things, though no one had ever broken into her dorm before she liked to think it was because of these extra measures, as opposed to the idea that people were, in general, decent enough and knew better. Although, even if someone did try to break in, they'd find her room was perpetually caught in a whirlwind of clutter. Discarded papers and partially clean laundry littered the space, half finished pieces adorned the walls and there was a distinct smell of paint in the air.
It looked like a tornado went through it, on one occasion, a small one actually had. reason number one Tempest rarely used her powers outside of class.

Clutching a small leather bound notebook Tempest made her way down the hall, on her way to the grand dining room where the head master would address the students before sending them on their way.
Actually, come to think of it, Tempest hadn't seen Head Master Sebastian on campus yet, though she had seen glimpses of Head Mistress Dianna about. She contemplated the reasons behind the switch as she stepped into the great hall, wincing at all the noise.
There were a great deal of students this year, though she caught a glimpse of a few semi familiar faces as she moved to a seat. Mainly, she recognized another student whom she knew stayed at the academy year round, like herself.
She didn't know his name however, Tempest was pretty bad with keeping names straight. He was seated next to a boy she didn't recognize, then again there were plenty of faces she didn't recognize.

She settled into the first available chair she came across, pulled a small black quill from the pocket on her jacket, flipped open her journal and put the nib to paper.

Ivan/Tamo, 3rd year.
littleberry littleberry
Ivan walked onto the academy campus, having spent the holiday with his family. He smiled as he felt the familiar rush of magic as he gazed around at the building suspending between the cliff, he quickly walked across one of the walkways and into the main building. He knew a lot of students stayed at the campus, including his friend KoKo. He took a look at the greenery growing along the cliffs and down below in the forest, where the rebirth of spring had been celebrated for the past week. His loose fitting clothing blew in the breeze as he reached the main door. He swiftly opened it, walking inside seeing new and old students. Some greeted him with a smile, others ignored him. Ivan made his way through the halls slowly, having to duck occasionally to keep his antlers from getting caught on door frames.

As he entered the main dining hall, he took note of the staff and stopped when he notice it was the Headmistress instead of the Headmaster sitting in the main chair. Considering The Headmistress never showed her face except for the grand opening of the academy. He kept looking around, the room was felled with chatter of students. He realized he had been standing there like a deer trapped in headlights and decided to take a seat in front of a girl sitting by the window with a sheepish smile he watched the other students converge into the dining hall.

Snow-17,Second Year-Blood Witch
Mentioned: peachpuff peachpuff

Looking up at the boy with antlers sitting next to her, Snow bit the inside of her cheek. She had seen him around before. He had been here when she had arrived. He seemed like the shy type with that sheepish smile and her nerves were calmed a bit. Snow didn't know how to interact with over confident outgoing people. She felt like they thought she just needed to open up and always ended up being disappointed when they found out she did not have any intentions of opening herself up to others. But this was a new year... Maybe she could open- no never mind. She scratched the thought as soon as it entered her head. She just needed to get through another couple years and then she could protect herself. That was it. But... she needed a distraction from the thoughts in her head of her past life...of him. So she turned slightly and looking down so she wouldn't have to make eye contact incase her friendly gesture was turned down. She would not care if this guy didn't want to talk to the weird silent bandage girl. If she was ignored then that was that. Who cared, not her pfff that's for sure...

"Um...Hi. I've seen you around before."

Should she have tried to shake his hand? No that seemed to forward in Snow's mind. She looked up at him with her rose colored eyes. At least he wouldn't be freaked out by the color much. The guy had antlers so how judgmental could he be?

Ivan/Tamo, 3rd year.
littleberry littleberry
Ivan was busy looking for KoKo, counting the new kids as they walked in and kinda stood off to the side or sat far from the other students or near the front by the staff. He was still wondering where the Headmaster was, because it didn't seem right that the Headmistress was giving the speech. Even she seemed uncomfortable about the whole scene and it looked as if Miss Eline was the only person keeping her calm. He had been watching the two whisper back and forth as they stated at the students. He tugged at the tip of his ears and blinked his doe eyes. Turning his attention elsewhere he noticed another third year with Lucas, and it didn't take super vision to see the fangs and feel the shiver in his spine. KoKo had told him about the vampire, but it still didn't ease his fear of them.

He heard a small voice behind him and smiled brightly as he turned and slowly blinked his eyes. He hadn't expected the girl to speak to him since she had seemed like a shy and isolated person, and he had sat near her cause he didn't want her to be alone or left out. He had recognized her from last year, however they never had an elective together and the main classes were to strict to get to know anyone. It took him a split second to realize he had zoned out staring at her and lowered his eyes in apology before meeting her red ones with his white. "Your a second year right? I remember seeing you around last year. " he replied, nodding at her as if confirming his statement and careful to keep his antlers from hitting her. He smiled again, gazing at her. She still seemed closed off, so he restricted himself from blabbing to her. "I'm Ivan a third year." He added. He took noticed to the banaged and curiously wondered what happened, but didn't say anything.

Thistle Kasten - The "Starving" Fae ( q r o w q r o w StarryKnights StarryKnights u k i y o u k i y o )

"Bye, Ma!" The little fairy remembered squeaking to her mother as she bolted out the door- although she'd quickly dashed back inside after forgetting to give her as big of a hug her tiny frame allowed. Her mother lived in a small little home in Cledonia, perfect for their height, and a huge contrast to her dorm room back at the academy. She didn't really mind how big everything there was in comparison to herself- the bed alone felt like she was sleeping on a cloud! Thistle giggled a bit to herself as she zoomed down the pathways leading to the academy, excited and elated to be back.

Thistle hadn't taken much notice of the Headmaster's supposed absence, too busy trying to get to the dining hall without getting squished by other students. She could make herself bigger, she knew that, but flying was funner than walking, and if she was being completely honest she was a bit rusty already when it came to adjusting her size. Regardless, she managed to get inside without becoming a pancake, and immediately felt her body complain about the current lack of food in her belly. She felt famished-- even though she'd already eaten a bit today. The little creature hovered a bit above people's heads, scanning the room to see if anyone she knew was here yet... and then she saw Gabriel! Who was sitting with a few other people, whom she sort of recognized but was unable to put names to the faces.

Would it be rude to intrude on them? Maybe, but Thistle wasn't about to sit by herself on her first day back. She quickly flew over, a huge smile on her face as she landed on and simply stood on one of the free chairs by the little group. Her wings were still fluttering excitedly as she chirped, "Goodafterevening! Hi Gabby! Hi other presumably lovely~ people!"

Gabriel
Gabe was staring into space, zoned out. Or if you knew him enough, you would realize the vampire had fallen asleep. He was sitting completely still his eyes occasionally blinking. He hadn’t noticed as his friend settled into place beside him. At least, not until he spoke. Gabe slowly found himself turning his head to acknowledge his friend, spotting the bags in his eyes. “If you keep skipping sleep you’ll never make it in sparring. And lucky you it’s still morning. “ he joked, blinking himself into awareness. He looked at the staff and then turned his attention to Luca. Giving a small smile. “Seriously what did you do all night? Stare at 4 walls?” Gabe asked concerned with his friends state. He noted that a girl had sat at a close by Gabe and was writing in her notebook. He recognized her from last year, as he did many of the students here.

Is ears perked up at the sound of wings, tiny ones. He knew before she even spoke who it was. Thistle.... He thought as her tiny voice shouted, or it sounded like she shouted to him, rung in his ears. He wasn’t sure when he gained the nickname Gabby, but he just shrugged it off and looked down at her. “Hey Thistle. It’s still morning, it isn’t even lunch yet. What is an After Evening?” He questioned motioning for her to move onto the table, going so far as offering to save her the flight by holding out his palm. Not mocking her height, just not wanting to look down to talk to her, it made him feel like it was mocking her height when he did. “Lucas, this is Thistle. Thistle, this is Lucas.” He said getting one introduction out of the way. u k i y o u k i y o StarryKnights StarryKnights Svisttt Svisttt

KoKo, second year

Sayoko had decided to leave academy grounds last night, spending her night holding her own celebration for the festival. She had stayed most of the week couped up inside the academy, so she had decided her last night of freedom would be spent down below in the woods. She awoke covered in leaves and dirt, a small carving knife in her palm. She glanced at the tree she was laying against and saw her brothers name carved in it, magic swirling within. She smiled, recalling how much more beautiful it would have been if he had done it. Everyone mourned in their own way. Hers was copying the beauty of his craft. Or trying to. Realizing the time she picked up her wand, a gift from her brother, and waved away the leaves and dirt. Making herself presentable enough to attend school. It wasn’t like appearance there matter, it was your skills that mattered. She clutched her stomach and whispered a flight spell, closing her eyes in concentration, as she floated upwards.

She opened her eyes as she reached the nearest walkway, easing her way onto it. She unclenched her stomach and leaned over the side and puked. It didn’t help the fact she was starving. She glanced at the sun, glad she wasn’t late for lunch. She walked into the academy, sliding her wand up her sleave as she made her way to the dining hall. She stumbled from the energy she poured into the spell, hunger, and nausea. She manage to collapse into a seat, putting her head down, glad she wasn’t sitting near anyone.

Tempest Wilkins

Elongated swirls and small rectangular shapes began to take form on the page, Tempest was a big fan of doodling. It didn't matter the class or subject, she always had her notebook and quill, ready to act when inspiration, or boredom, strikes.
As it was waiting for these sort of events to start was beyond boring, though the tables were beginning to fill up as more students arrived. Pausing in her work she glanced up as a voice chirped along side her, she recognized the small figure perfectly perched atop a chair on the other side of the table. Though she didn't know the fairy's name, she'd definitely seen her around last year. Tempest distinctly remembered how amazed she was with how easily she navigated the crowded hall via the air, and wished she was small enough to do the same.
She also wished her own wings would remain out at all times, as it was they usually remained at a fraction of their full size, small enough that you couldn't even see them under her shirt.

She could feel them though, pressed against her back. Tempest hoped that this year she'd learn how to better handle her minute shape changing power.
The fairy referred to one of the students as Gabby, which Tempest filed away to be remembered later. Gabby was likely a nickname, so she assumed that his name was Gabe. And apparently the other boy was named Lucas. She almost certainly was going to forget all these names, but it was worth a shot.

She gave a small wave to the fairy and the rest of the group before looking back down to her notebook, it seemed rude to ignore the greeting, even if Tempest was fairly certain she wasn't being addressed.
She silently chastised herself for eavesdropping on their conversation before looking back down at her journal, she flipped to a new page and started a new set of doodles, this time instead of random shapes she found herself sketching out the rough design of her wings, at their full size.

Thistle Kasten - The Slightly Awkward Greeter ( q r o w q r o w StarryKnights StarryKnights u k i y o u k i y o )

Thisle gently stepped onto Gabe's open palm, folding her hands behind her back as she explained, "Afterevening! It's after evening. Morning! Get it?" She quickly turned her attention to the other boy, who's name was apparently Lucas. He seemed tired, like he hadn't gotten any sleep. Or, maybe he just wasn't a morning person? Ma was always a grumpyhead in the morning. Regardless, she greeted him with great enthusiasm, happy to have already met someone new.

There was someone else though, a girl with a cute little notebook who hadn't introduced herself. She was being awfully quiet... maybe she was just shy! Thistle didn't want her to feel left out of anything, so she gave her a little wave and squeaked, "Hi miss! I'm Thistle and I really like your hair." Was that a weird thing to say? She hoped not, and quickly fumbled to add, "What's your favorite color?" Internally... she face palmed. She'd never been the greatest at getting to know people- not because she didn't want to, she really enjoyed talking to people, but she never really knew the right way to go about it. Which, inevitably resulted in her asking the dumb and silly little questions that popped into her mind.

Lucas Marlows

Lucas chuckled softly at Gabe's words. "I can't exactly sleep with my eyes open though." Lucas said with a small smile on his face as he rested his chin on the palm of his hand. "But you're right, and it's starting to take a toll on my body." Lucas said and with a groan he slowly stretched up and cracked his back as if to emphasize his point, before slumping back down into his seat. His posture wasn't the best, it never had been, and Lucas wasn't going to try and doing anything to correct it either. He laughed again when Gabe asked if he had been staring at four walls, because Lucas barely even remembered what he had been doing all night.

"I could have actually. Although I'm pretty sure I was just practicing." Lucas said, since it had been what he was doing every other night. He jumped slightly when he heard a small voice and quickly glanced around before his eyes landed on the small fairy. He was fairly surprised as it was his first time seeing a fairy in their natural form, despite having been at the academy for a full cycle. She appeared very cheery, almost overly so, although that was simply because Lucas wasn't much of a morning person when he was running on empty.

Lucas wasn't all that good at meeting people, but Gabe helped him out and introduced him to the fairy named Thistle. She appeared to be a few years younger than Lucas, although he couldn't say for sure. "It's nice to meet you." Lucas said with a small smile and a slight nod of his head in her direction. He hadn't even been paying attention and only saw the other girl when Thistle began talking to her. She seemed quiet and reserved, and was drawing something in her notebook, but Lucas wasn't nosy enough to snoop and find out.

Naoki "Oki": Year 2
When you wish to capture an audience, bed-head simply will not cut it. As such, Naoki sat upon the end of his bed, the brush of charred oak and highlighted with copper struggled to pass through his hair. Despite it being freshly dampened by a light sprinkle of purified water, courtesy of a lovely lass with a handle on her purifying properties. Despite having taken the extra time, he had finally tamed the raging mane to much less than a purring kitten. The two strands which always seemed to defy him moved off to the right side of his head. Though they showed no sign of inconsistency among the, now straightened, black locks which adorned the young males skull. Turning to gaze in the small mirror, hung tidily upon the wall, he allowed no more than a breaths time to marvel at himself. A twinge of vanity raced through him and then was quickly cast away as he turned to make a swift departure.

The door wooden door shut behind him with little more than the click of the metal locking mechanism, a bold '10B' printed boldly upon the door. It was a means to signify which room belonged to who of course, but to Naoki, it was his claim. The combination of two numbers and a letter gave him claims to a home, arguably the best in which he had maintained. The key vanished into his side pocket before the hand that held it moved to assist it's partner in resettling a lengthy, black glove upon his arm. This of course, had been being used as a means to cover up the serpent-like scales that acted alike the skin upon his left side arm, or at least from his finger tips to the peak of his forearm. A memory of not-so distant past and a reminder of his many experiences.

His slacks were of night's color, with the occasional slip of dark silvers thread to break it's bleakness. With movement they blended into a simplistic and possibly uninspiring darkness. His shirt took more liberty in expressing coloration. Despite being predominantly white, black trim lined the edges and collar of the shirt. Along the trim was accompanied by a much sparser red, it gave a much more vibrant appearance in comparison to his pants. The light clicking of his footsteps could likely be heard. Though they weren't loud enough to be taxing on the ear or heard over any conversation that those within his destination, the dining hall, may be having.

He pressed through the doors with relative ease and made his entrance without much of anyone knowing. Any faces of the crowd he passed through didn't do much to him, though his eyes carefully scanned the 'audience' to find out what kinds of people he'd be dealing with. By a quick once-over he could see two tables of cheerful morning-dwellers. Along with one table containing a single person, they seemed lonely or maybe sick. They were the same essentially, loneliness was an ailment with a quick cure, attention. So at a brisk pace, the male passed by a few tables waving to their attendants before arriving at the one with but one member. After a moment of concentration a cat leapt up from the floor to the table top, it began to cry out as though it were attempting to awaken the crumpled over female. After a moment of this the cat scampered to stand on the table before her and stood there silently, "Having a rough morning from the looks of it?" Naoki asked all the while keeping his voice soft. As long as she didn't lash out immediately then, it shouldn't be hard to get the other speaking, right?

Tempest Wilkins

Tempie was so engrossed in her picture she didn't register that she was being spoke to, as such she only heard the tail end of Thistle's peppy conversation starter. Her attention was peaked when she heard
"I really like your hair", slowly the blue haired teen looked up from her journal, and found Thistle smiling at her. She blinked, confusion apparent in her eyes as the fairy continued.
"M-my favorite color?", she repeated the question back, as if to ensure she'd heard it correctly. Now there were two pairs of eyes on her, both Thistle and Lucas had seemed to take proper notice of her. She gulped.

"Its not blue". It was the first thing that came to mind, truth be told she rather disliked her ghastly hair color. When she was young she'd had thick, beautiful dark brown hair. It had cascaded down her back in waves and she took great pride in it. At age nine however, her magic took hold, turning her locks into the icy blue hue she sported now. The next year her wings emerged, and it was all down hill from there.

Tempest never cursed her magic, she was eager to learn to control her powers and she adored the gift of flight that she occasionally had access to. But her hair...she'd never grown used to the dismayed expression her parents gave her once it turned. Her family came from a long line of magic, both of her folks had hoped that it might skip her generation.
Those hopes were obviously dashed.
And so, she disliked blue, and colors that were too close to it.

"...It's uh...g-green...and turquoise...".
She realized that it took maybe a solid minute for her to prattle off that reply, her eyes went back to the page, embarrassment took hold as she flipped to a new page.
Great, it was her first day and she'd already made a fool of herself.

Staff Post
(Now that everyone’s posted I’m posting with staff)

Miss Eline gazed out into the crowd seeing the energy that was blazing within the students, she noted the ones that burned brighter than others. Seeing so many in one room worried her, frowning she turned to the Headmistress who had been watching with expectant eyes. “There’s a small group of them here, it worries me such energy being in one place miss.” She explained watching the Headmistress sigh and frown.

The Headmistress stood from the chair counting the staff making sure everyone was present. As the final student shut the doors behind them, she cleared her throat and walked to the temporary podium. A wave of her hands and the room was quiet and attention was on her. It took her a few seconds to adjust, slipping on a smile, hiding her worries. She met eyes with the crowd and began. “New and Old students welcome to the academy. For the ones who have attended before, I’m sure you’ve noted the Headmaster’s absence. He is away...on a trip regarding academy matters. Until he returns I will be handling all matters within the school. Now new students welcome to Cledonia.....” she continued the routined speech, until a few moments later she reached the end. “It is now noon. Feel free to to eat and get settled in, then report to you first elective in exactly an hour from now. Skipping will be punished accordingly.” With a dismissive nod, she turned and strode from the room, teachers who had class coming up, and Miss Eline following behind to attend their own matters. The rest of staff stayed behind to watch students. Chatter rose once again, accompanied by the sound of doors opening the kitchen with a variety of food set out for students. (Staff you don’t need to post if you don’t wish to.)

Gabriel
After helping Thistle onto the table and starting Introductions, Gabe slightly withdrew from the conversation. He was still listening to those at the table, but he turned his attention toward KoKo who practically slammed her head into the table from exhaustion. Only other time he saw her so worn out was when he first meet her after she managed to get in the worse kind of trouble. She never explained why she had gotten so sick after her fight. His attention was pulled to the Headmistress as she started to speak and give her speech. He ignored most of it, having heard it to years in a row from the Headmaster. His attention went back to the table when it was over. Before the speech had heard the other girl answer Thistle and he had been cut off before he could reply.

“Kid, I apologize for not recalling you name, but you don’t need to be so.....tense? Is that a fitting word?” He nibbed his lip with his fang, pausing and thinking before continuing his sad excuse of a pep talk. “No one at the table is going to judge you. The more tense the more awkward everything seems.” He stated, mentally slapping himself for possibly making things worse. Typically this is where he make a vampire joke about not biting, but he didn’t want to scare her off. So, he painfully retracted his fangs, hiding the grimace of pain with a full tooth smile and no fangs. He looked to the fairy, patting his shoulder. “I’m hungry and I’m sure you are Thistle. Want to go grab food?” He grinned at the fairy. “I’ll even carry your foodbif you ask nicely” he joked, he turned his head to Luca. Gabe smirked. “And if sleeping beauty wants to wake up and join us he is welcomed to.” Gabe shrugged, poking the boy in the side, starting to stand up.

Lucas Marlows

Lucas watched everything with heavy lidded eyes, paying attention, but being half asleep whilst doing so. He needed to drink something to wake him up he internally noted, since food was going to be served soon, that he was sure of. Almost as soon as the thought of food popped into his head his stomach grumbled lightly, and he internally groaned. Why did his body have to have such annoying, human needs all the time? He was a demon, couldn't he just not need to eat and sleep every once in awhile?

He was a bit curious when the blue haired girl said that her favorite color wasn't blue, and that it was green. She seemed adamant, even though her hair was the very same color she seemed to dislike so much. 'perhaps the color brings back bad memories?' he wondered, but he wasn't going to ask. He had learned that a lot of students here were ticking time bombs, and one wrong question could set them off. He understood though. A lot of people here didn't have the happiest of stories before the came here, and some don't even have happy stories being here. He snapped up when he heard the Headmistress begin to speak, as her voice had startled him, to the point where his chair had rattled against the floor.

He almost fell back asleep when the speak droned on to the parts he had already heard. He didn't know why, but someone giving speeches always made him sleepy. Perhaps it was their voice, or the fact that his attention span was nonexistent when he wasn't studying or practicing. Once again his thoughts were interrupted, but this time it was Gabe instead of the Headmistress.

He chuckled as Gabe tried to make things less tense, and he could tell that it had been the other's intentions, although he may have made it worse. Still, Lucas wasn't complaining because Gabe had actually tried to do something about it instead of avoid it like he had. He had probably handled it better than Lucas would've anyways. He also noted that instead of giving a fanged smile like usual, Gabe's teeth were all normal and human looking, probably so he didn't scare anyone away. Lucas was surprised that it was still possible to scare away the other students, since he expected them to be in the same boat when it came to most things, appearance being one of them. Still, the unknown was unknown and people, whether human or not, always got scared of the unknown.

Lucas's stomach grumbled again, more loudly this time when getting food was mentioned. He reflectively jumped up in his seat when Gabe poked his side, and looked at the other with a half glare with no real fire behind it. He was extremely ticklish (especially when sleepy) and his sides happened to be one of the areas he had classified as extremely ticklish.

"I'm awake, I'm awake I swear." Lucas mumbled out as he stood up in his chair, following behind Gabe, the only person who he really knew at the table.

Snow-17,Second Year-BloodWitch
Mentioned: peachpuff peachpuff
Snow let out a small smile as she looked up to meet his gaze. He seemed friendly enough. She was secretly glad he hadn't scoffed at her or asked about her bandages. She expected the worst from people. If she had no expectations then she couldn't be disappointed.

So his name was Ivan... a third year just like she thought. She tried not to let her smile grow any more when she noticed he was trying not to hit her with his antlers. He had interesting eyes, just like her but they were big and friendly. Her's were not friendly at all with their red color. The students here weren't as put off by them as all of those in the outside world, but still...

"I'm Snow, it's um... it's nice to meet you." She spoke a bit louder, trying not to come off as too shy and weak. People didn't respect weakness at this school. But she wasn't someone anyone really respected anyways. Snow knew she wasn't a warrior, a fighter. She was a tool. Usually speaking to the other students made her skin crawl since she knew what they must think of her awful power... but Ivan's deer like appearance made her feel comfortable for some reason.

Turning her head she looked up at the headmistress as she spoke. It was strange that the headmaster wasn't here... Snow bit her lip as her brow furrowed. Her first elective... Sparring. Oh she never understood her reasoning for joining that class. Who was she kidding, yes she did. She thought if she could learn how to be useful in a battle, see if she could be trained to be a fighter, maybe she wouldn't feel so bad about her self worth all the time. But Snow knew it would just be a whole hour of her getting her booty patooty handed to her and more scars from her thorns.

"So only electives today, what's um your first one?" She asked, looking at him again after the announcements. She couldn't imagine someone as sweet looking as him in a sparring room but hey she was there so who knew. If he was there... she might actually have someone to talk too instead of silently getting her patooty whipped and kicked. She frowned a little at the thought of all the bruises she would soon have. Luckily she had healing and defense right after so maybe.... well maybe they could help her out with that.

KoKo, second year
Sayoko gazed up with tired eyes at the sound of a cat, forgetting momentarily where she was. Her wand slid into her palm and it pointed towards the cat before she even knew what she was doing. Her vision cleared and she looked from the animal to the boy. Then again. She reacted it a few times before her mind cleared from the initial shock and managed to reestablish her thoughts. She flicked her wrist and her wand slipped into her sleeve. “You could-“ her words jumbled and blended into each other, causing her to stutter before she gave up and sighed. “You could say that. A very rough morning.” She repeated, turning her attention to the front as the Headmistress spoke up. KoKo tuned into the same speech she heard last year from the Headmaster.

The thought of food when it was mentioned gave her a rush of energy, enough to function properly. As the Headmistress left she turned back to the boy. “You a second year to?” She questioned, because after her scene last year, pretty much everyone knew her name or face. Which made it impossible to make friends other than a Gabe and Ivan.and those two were off in their own conversations “now not to be rash but, I’m going to go get food considering I haven’t ate in 24 hours, and got sick after casting this morning. You can come with, stay here , or whatever I guess?” She stated rather bluntly and not in KoKo fashion. The again she wasn’t in the best state for conversation. Her lips gave an apologetic smile and she stood up slowly, trying to keep her balance and not face plant into the floor.

Naoki "Oki": Year 2
The time in which the girl had her head down made her an anomaly to him, sure he couldn't recognized her by what he had seen of the girl prior. But that would have made the discovery far less rewarding when he did figure out. Once she lifted her head however, he immediately recognized the rather iconic girl, Sayoko. She was the one who had gotten her own bit of infamy back during the first year he was here. Which if he remembered correctly was the same for her, though she was quick to grip her wand, it caused him to raise an eyebrow in curiosity. Was she so quick to spite that she'd cast something to kill an animal without knowing it's intentions?

That presumption had been rendered false the moment she seemed to realize what he and the cat were, or maybe she just didn't want to cause a scene. Either way he wouldn't complain about it. If anything he was thankful that he wouldn't need to worry about getting harmed by approaching the girl who was rather spaced-out in appearance. Though her attempts at a response had confirmed his question before, the slurring wasn't too out of the ordinary to him though considering that it was the answer he had been expecting... well that or a groan. His attention had quickly been cut away from her as the headmistress had begun to speak.

He listened intently while resting his head in the palm of the gloved hand, which caused the glove to pull a little bit. Though the revealed scales likely appeared to be the same as the glove, unless you were paying a high attention to detail. The fact that the headmaster wasn't up there had caught him astray all the same, why the headmistress. Once she finished her speech he watched them walking off before turning his attention back to Sayoko who questioned about himself, "Yes. My name is Naoki, Naoki Thaumari." He said and stood to preform an exaggerated bow.

In the middle of doing this he snapped his fingers and the cat disappeared into mist. Of course that was when she had begun to stand, but she seemed to be almost pushing herself to do such. So he took it upon himself, setting this one off was probably not his greatest of choices. But if he could make her into an ally then many doors would open, especially since he didn't really have anyone he was close to at the academy. Just those surface friends who began to blend into the crowd the moment he left them. He moved over to her side and offered her his gloved hand, "Would you like some help? I know you don't know me that well but you seem like you're having a bit of difficulty.." He suggested while still offering himself as a crutch or a walking aid for her.

Ivan/Tamo, 3rd year.
littleberry littleberry
Ivan kept his gaze focused on her while had waited for her to respond, subconsciously letting vines wrap around his antlers, blooming dull red flowers at the ends and tips of his antlers. He did his best to replicate the color of Snow’s eyes, and hoped it didn’t seem rude. He of course meant no offense to her, he just liked the fact her eyes had color where his lacked it. “Snow? Pretty name. It’s nice to meet you to” He said, jerking his head to attention as he heard the headmistress speech, slightly frowning as his antlers scraped against the window sill. Ivan listened intently to the speech, trying to figure out why the Headmaster had decided to just take off suddenly. Once the Headmistress fled the room, he watched students make way to the food and decided to remain seated until lines shortened. He turned his eyes back to Snow.

“My first elective? Definitely not sparring like most the school. It’s spells and Runes. What about you?” He asked politely, although he was positive he knew the answer. Either the bandages indicated it or maybe he was assuming based off the rest of the students, either way he assumed it was offensive magic. He tugged his ear nervously as he tried to think of other ways to keep the conversation flowing. He didn’t want to scare her off by asking personal questions or accidentally offend her by blabbing. He thought about his elective and wasn’t really looking forward to it. Runes weren’t to hard, but Elemental magic and Concealment were a pain for him. “I’m not looking forward o electives. I much rather have the other courses.” He sadly murmured loud enough for her to hear.

KoKo, second year
KoKo managed to stand up, and once she did it was easier. Standing was always the hard part, walking to her was easier. She gripped the table tightly as she had noticed the recognition in his eyes when he saw her face. She kept herself from gritting her teeth. The cat disappeared after he kindly introduced himself. “Naoki. I’ll remember that. I would introduce myself, but by the glint I saw in your eyes I’m assuming you already know my name. Call me KoKo.” Sayoko stated as he walked to her side. She instantly felt her body stiffen and straightened her self.

At his offer, she slanted her eyes at him, skeptical of his intentions. Hesitant to admit she might possibly need help. A few tense seconds passed and her body slowly relaxed, and she managed a small smile. “I’ll polietly decline. I believe I can do just fine on my own, your welcome to come with me if you wish.” Sayoko finally answered as she release the table and wrapped her arm around her stomach, closing her eyes. A split second later she opened them and you could see small swirls of color even from far away if you looked at them. The spell she silently casted helped her keep balanced as she started to head to the food lines. The spell was small enough that it would use more energy or make her sick, though it also wouldn’t last long either. She kept one hand one her stomach and waited to see if he would follow.

Naoki "Oki": Year 2
While looking to his new acquaintance it was easy to see the distrust she had in him, it prompted a small smirk to form upon his face. Not in the event of him acting sly or anything of the sort, at least not as of yet. The reason as to why he smirked was simple, it was another person who looked at him like that. Looking at the slightly off-setting boy with not only a heavy skepticism, but it seemed like there was judgemental undertones contained within it. He may have been reading her wrong but the stare she had given, it stirred up some repressed thoughts of his. As such he shut his eyes for a moment, nodding once and stepping back once again, "I can understand that it's a tad difficult to take people for face value anymore." He spoke with a mildly jovial tone, a much more casual vibe coming from him.

As she began to walk he noticed that she once more invited him to come along. He was getting a pretty straightforward message from her, she didn't like physical interaction, and she didn't trust him. He couldn't tell for certain as to which one it was, or if it was both, all he knew is that she had behaved much more alike an individual than the faces in the crowd she'd seen prior. He took a step and in a short distance he'd fallen in stride with her, soon walking alongside her. "Well if you've told me a nickname for yourself, it's only just for me to do the same. KoKo, you can call me Oki. I know it's a twinge odd but it's a name from my childhood all the same," He said standing a respectable distance from her, not too far and not too close. She could need help so he stayed nearby, but moving farther away risked the weary looking lass falling. With the minimal time he's known her, she didn't seem too keen on gathering an audience. "Feel free to lean on me if your weariness becomes too much. I promise that I don't bite." He took a joking approach, since humor was one of the best ways to break through that barrier people usually withheld.
