Nation Building Citadel in the Storm (Still Open, spill spaces)

Ok now I'm confused. I thought this was pre-industrial (Late 18th century, early 19th century) not medieval times. Why are half the people knights and footmen from nations using sword and shield, and others like mine are from nations that have musket and canon. We really need to define this. I guess we could make it a mix of both, but I would just like to hesr what you would like to say about it @Avouleance Thanks.

Guns and cannons don't completely replace swords and shields until they can be as easily produced, so I suppose any faction that uses gun powder is using it at the cost of a dependence on more advanced production so guns are inherently rarer, you might have a small group of people trained and equipped to use guns but fewer than you could arm with swords and armour.

SO this is basically 16th-17th century? Because that is not pre-industrial, that is Early modern. No where near the Industrial revolution.

I was figuring it referred to the world-state before the industrial revolution, not the time period, since Pre-industrial is also used for countries/places that have not been industrialized yet. The fact that steam and steel is a new thing also got me thinking that we were talking about late 17th century at the latest (as that was when people started inventing machinery based on steam), at which point swords and armor was still used, but was starting to dwindle in the more modern of the countries, which is why mine is one based in tradition.

Anyhow, I like it the way the GM described it, makes more sense in regards to both how the RP would go down, and in how the city it takes place in would have an advantage over those surrounding it, thus not being invaded daily to have its technology stolen.

That's a pretty good summary of it, The Iron Lion controls such a small area specifically because of the resource costs required to have very large walls and cannons.

Sorry it wasn't clear and I'm working on a fuller response to the sheets but I'll likely want to tone down your tech level, The alternative would be to bring up the level of the lower tech powers but I'm worried that would result in too much hegemony, so I recommend picking a specialty and sticking to it.

There's the similar issues to the ones I talked about above there's too much power and not enough specialization especially when we have several people who want to be in charge of the military and finances of a city state which only really has the population for a small military anyway it would help if you wanted to try and fill another role. It doesn't help your personal power is very similar to someone else's. You mention both the city guard and spies both of which are open positions if you'd like to try filling one of those.
I'll change it now,but I still can keep the Name and Ethnicity and Backstory right? also I think Ill be influincing the City Guards.

Home-Empire of Tarnaistan is a country to East,Populated by all kinds of people from various races,Led by a Monarch titled ''Padishah'' and the Council of Pashas, its a country mostly covered by Desserts to South and Mountains to North,Tarnaistan was once a Great and Wealthy Empire but as the years progressed it was pushed behind many other Nations.but with the Recent Coup de'tat it has been trying to Modernize and re-gain its Influence. Its a country with one of the Best Military Educuation systems, because of that serving in Military is the Highest Honor.

History- Born to a Wealthy and Noble Family which worked as Governors of the Western border of the Empire,He grew up with strict discipline.as it was almost obligatory for Nobles to join the Ranks of Tarnaistan Imperial Army,he joined the Imperial Military Academy at age of 10,before that being home schooled by various tutors, during his days as a student he was Influenced by some of his teachers which thought The Military was a Supperior to Royal Family. He graduated as one of the best in his class and was appointed to a Garrision in Southern Provinces, here he gained fame by suppresing serveral Revolts by local tribes and maintaining order,He was rewarded by Padishah for his serives, this is where he met his Wife Zehra Masun Han?m,During that time serveral of his former class-mates and Friends approched him to Inform him about Their Plans to Coup de'tat the Current Goverment. He agreed to plan seeing it benefiting to the Empire and himself, after rallying the support of some tribes he joined with rest of the Pro-Revolutionary Army and Marched to Capital. After a bloody fight with Royal Guard they forced the Padishah to sign a constutution giving the Officers most of the Rights they while pushing the Padishah to backplan.after the succesfull Revolution,he was appointed as The Empires Ambassador to the City with a big Pay Check.

Faction-Union of Officers is a 'Guild' housing most of the de-comisioned Officers of Military and Police Force around the realm who now Works for the City's Guards, which are gathered under one roof for a common goal that is to Gain Influence over the city and Earn wealth. They have a Private Militia made out of Low Crooks Who owes the Union some debt or Common Criminals who are paid to get rid of any dissenters or other city-guards who are aganist The Union's Corrupt Policies. They are Loyal to Iron Lion as long as he stays out of their Buisness.

Personal power-Cevdet Pasha is a Great Administrator and Manipulator, good at lying his way out,an expert swordsman, although he is a bit rusted because of his age.He is knowhn to be a very greedy and corrupt person.

Faction power-Since The Union members make up a fair portion of City-Guards,they have little problem with the law sine pretty much they are the law on the streets. They have enough Funds to maintain a Private Militia thanks to Bribes paid to them...to overlook some crimes.
Better? @Avouleance ?

Put my little sheet up. If anything needs changing just let me know. Hopefully it's specialised properly, I was a little uncertain about what I put for my faction powers.
