Warning: person who talks too much, as you can tell by this thread, and has probably already scared you away by being too chatty. Realizing I spent way too much time on this search thread, my god xD


Helloooo there! I'm looking for a couple roleplay partners that I mesh with, though I'm also up for group roleplays. I'd like someone who is detail-oriented, can drive the plot, and is as interested in character development as I am!


I love character driven roleplays and I often play multiple characters. I will roleplay males, females, and all sexualities, though it seems that I tend towards (but am definitely not limited to) M//. Character interaction, not romance, is generally my focus (though I do enjoy a well-written romance, there has to be chemistry!) and I like to mix and match genres. I'll try to get you something at least once a day and I'll let you know if something comes up. My replies tend to be 400 words and beyond, though my main goal isn't length--it's to give my partner something sufficient to work with.


For fandoms, I generally prefer to borrow the setting and do something with OCs (DC/Marvel is an exception) -- however, there are a few canon characters I love to play for the right plot. Also, I love suggestions! Suggest to me your ideas or ask me for my own! I'll probably have at least an inkling of an idea on most everything! I have a limited amount of time and so I'll mostly be taking what I believe I can handle and fully devote myself to. C:

  Cold War: Gifted Agents -- World War II was an arms race, one that extended into the human genome. Human experimentation led Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union, and the United States to the creation of the modern supersoldier, a genetically modified human with supernatural abilities. These agents tipped the scales of the war and now that Nazi Germany has been vanquished, the Soviet Union and US turn towards each other in a war to be the next superpower. These super soldiers will be their tools in the greatest game of espionage that the modern world has ever seen.

  Urban Fantasy -- An underground world of magic exists, thrumming in the underbelly of nearly every major city. It is a place where the edges of every magical society intersect, from the Unseelie and Seelie courts to vampires and all else. Humans with magical talent have barely managed to carve themselves out a niche within these bounds, most trying to avoid the blow-back from the terrifyingly intricate political dance that is inherent to the underground. Different factions continue to jockey for power, each with a motive that ranges from greed to self-preservation to even boredom. Black market dealers for magical artifacts run rampant, wishes and magic can be bought, and it is easy to be drawn into something much bigger than the sum of your parts.
  
  
  I would specifically like to look at the intricacies of the Unseelie/Seelie courts. Fae wings are considered one of the purest sources of magic there is and it is not uncommon, though heavily frowned upon by the courts, for an unfactioned fae to sell of their wings for money. A recent string of disappearances, however, has spurred the normally complacent courts into action as some of their own have been kidnapped. Though still not too heavily concerned, the next elections are soon approaching and whoever solves the mystery first will no doubt be the talk of the courts--and ever party for the next so many decades. A member of one political faction, upon the orders of the leader, finds himself investigating and that draws him out of the courts that he is so accustomed to and into the seedy underground. Street smart but inexperienced, he enlists your character in helping him navigate these uncharted waters.

  Zombie Apocalypse -- The Walking Dead and/or The Last of Us inspired. Two survivors find themselves drawn together to a single purpose: to live. Both find each other and, despite their initial misgivings and suspicions, travel together for the sole reason of increasing their odds against a hostile and unknown landscape. I imagine this will be episodic and highly character driven, dependent on the characters and their motivations.
  
  
  Nuclear Fallout -- Nuclear war has ended but the long lasting consequences have just started to be felt. Only pockets of humanity are left and many of those have mutated into monstrosities, infected by the radiation. The majority of the world is a wasteland, filled with debris of buildings that once stood. A survivor, seemingly unharmed by the radiation, becomes a scavenger, moving cautiously from wreckage site to wreckage site, attempting to avoid the mutations and the numerous groups of people that have banded together and become savages in their own right. Unluckily the scavenger is spotted by a mutation. However, another survivor--someone hardened by death and their desire to live--is lurking nearby. Against their better judgement they save the survivor, though they are both drawn into a fight that leaves them drained and/or injured. Though weary of each other they somehow end up traveling together to find a rumored pocket of civilization. They must battle through the wasteland, the mutants, the worst of humanity, and their own trauma. This will be a roleplay that is psychological, character driven and will deal a lot with day by day survival experiences, with plenty of sub plots (encounters with others, battles, events, etc). And, perhaps, one survivor (or even both) was not as unaffected by the radiation as they first thought..or let on to the other.

  Hunter & Hunter -- Inspired by the Supernatural TV show. A supernatural monster hunter who has been out of the game for years is brought back in when a former friend or a talented and upcoming hunter who won't take no for an answer ropes him back in. Both hunters may be in it for more than they say.
  
  
  Supernatural Disposal Squad -- Vampires are simply something that The City has to accept, along with its prostitution rings, gangs, and drug dealers. More often than not, they all have a connection. In the midst of a gritty concrete garden are turf wars between both the mortal and the supernatural, something that the SDS (Supernatural Disposal Squad--I know, cute right?), modern day 'slayers' who are much less glamorous than the story book connotation would imply. In reality they are simply just another part of the law enforcing government, a group similar to Vice or SVU or Homicide with the only difference being is that often times their crimes involve all three. They are a special group of people specifically tasked with dealing with crimes involving the supernatural and these days they've been swamped, what with the vampires seeming to be stepping into human affairs and shaking things up a bit, be it on a mercenary level for various high-powered gangs who can afford the steep prices or simply because they want to carve out a piece of the city for themselves.
  
  
  One of SDS' finest has recently lost their partner during an investigation and is less than pleased (livid, actually) when the replacement shows up and it's one of those fanged super freaks they've specifically been hunting down. The department head (or someone above, most likely) claims that this is specifically on trial/experimental basis and that the vampire genuinely wants to help, something everyone doubts. With the controversy that's coming down from the press and within the department (and squad) itself, is enough to rattle the nerves of a someone who is still in mourning--has always been in mourning--and now has to watch their own back from the vampire they are supposed to trust--but believes has his own agenda entirely.

  Ex-teammates -- Previously a part of the same team before a major falling out, two superheroes find themselves brought together through necessity once an old enemy surfaces once again. Tensions rise as old wounds are ripped open and they are both reminded that the past is not as far away a thing as they would like to think. Character driven and the direction would be very dependent on the character's pasts.
  
  
  Cohabitation -- Slice of life mixed with the superhero genre, two superpowered individuals are forced into a roommate situation because, well, rent isn't cheap and who better than a fellow hero (or even a vigilante or punchclock villain), who understands the trials and tribulations, to share a room with? Focuses on the every day mundane and non-glamorous sides of a superhero's life. Not all of them are rich with money to burn, after all. Some have to have a day job, or two, and trying to hide spandex at the laundromat is probably one of the worst things ever--or so you'd think, but having a roommate who walks around naked and drinks out of the carton is high up on the list as well.

  Psychopath & Psychopath -- Two psychopaths walk into a bar (not really)...and decided that a good way to pass the time would be to try and outplay the other. It might not be love, but mind games and obsession is the closest thing they've got. I think this is something that can be combined with plenty of different genres, as what it comes down to are the characters themselves. I'd like to see these two characters having to work together for one reason or another. Maybe they're both career criminals and they're together for a job. Maybe they're both graduate students working on the same thesis. Maybe they're superpowered individuals. Possibilities are endless!

  Some characters I play: Jason Todd, Tim Drake, Dick Grayson, Barbara Gordon, John Constantine, Zatanna Zatara, Zachary Zatara, and ask
  
  
  Role Reversal -- Instead of Jason Todd being the one to die by the Joker’s hand, it is Barbara Gordon. Jason is the one to be confined to a wheelchair and while he has found himself a new calling as an information super highway, providing intelligence for the Bat family and other superheroes, Jason’s depression manifests into a life-long bitterness. He feels trapped, suffocated, and though he knows he is making a difference, it is difficult knowing that his life will be one behind a screen.
  
  
  This could take place right after Jason is crippled and must learn to cope and come to terms with his disability or after he has asserted himself into the ‘Oracle’ persona when the mysterious and brutal Red Hood makes her mark on Gotham, tearing viciously into Gotham’s seedy underbelly. I envision this plot line with Jason Todd opposite a member of the Batfamily (one of the other dude-Robins?) but this could work with other characters as well, as I think at points we will both have to take on multiple characters. Also, this could work focusing specifically on the dynamic between Barbara Gordon and Jason Todd.
  
  
  Dimension hopping -- A magical artifact flings Jason Todd and another character(s) into an alternate dimension where he never died and everything has been twisted on its head.
  
  
  This can go a lot of ways depending on the characters, but I've done this where Tim Drake came along and found that while the Jason of the other reality became Oracle, Tim's alternate self became a vigilante who applies lethal force to bring criminals to justice. My previous partner and I took one character and then the alternate character of each other's character, which made it pretty fun!
  
  
  Arkham Asylum -- Following the events of the Knight Protocol, the Batfamily must pick up the pieces that were left behind.

  TOM RIDDLE & OC -- Tom Marvolo Riddle, the boy who made all the wrong choices, has not made all of them--yet. Once, Tom Riddle was just a young man who held the eye of his peers, the hearts of his professors (save for one), and possessed the innate charisma, charm and sheer talent to be someone great, to change the world. However, there was something empty within him, something hollow and fragmented and dark, and that is something that has always remained, has always been.
  
  
  I'd like to explore Tom Riddle's time in Hogwarts, following a young man who we only got to see glimpses of in the pages of a faded diary: his bitterness, his scorn, and his ambition. To the unsuspecting--and the lonely--he charmed his way into their hearts even though he held no love within his own. This will be a dark, psychological roleplay with no happy ending. Tom's abhorrent lack of empathy and disregard for human life and yet his overwhelming charisma labels him a psychopath, in my mind, and I intend to play him as such. He will need to be played against a strong character who can hold Tom's interest, who will compel him, and yet someone who will be similarly compelled by Tom. I'd prefer to play him against a male, because I think the dynamics of that time period will add to some very interesting conflicts, but it isn't necessary! I admit, I'll probably be pretty picky about who I'd like to play this against--but I think it has great potential, especially if done with the right person! Lots of character development and we'll probably have lots and lots of side characters.

Hey, I enjoy character driven plots, intelligent storylines and of course being a Half-Breed Ghoul as well. And since you're into psychological stuff, I suggest two animes (both short but worth the watch anyway) Serial Experiments Lain and Aku No Hana! As well the soundtracks from these animes, they truly set the tone for the worlds you arrive into and the people you encounter in these experiences. But being the weirdo I am, I love the idea of having Spider-Man and Tokyo Ghoul in the same room. Or Sailor Moon and Tokyo Ghoul. And of course S.E.L and Flowers Of Evil (Aku No Hana) mixed with something like the Flash or anything else.


I have a couple of futuristic, cyber-punk threads if you ever want to a one-on-one and I also have a fantasy, sci-fi, love story as well if you're ever looking for a future classic! And best Marvel quote ever (in my opinion), "With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility"... So think responsibly about this, ;-) I don't want you to feel awkward. Hey, I just looked through your thread, and there are multiple interesting ideas. I might be interested in doing one of those/a combination of multiple ideas:


- "One day they'll write tales of the terrible things we did for love." (But love in this case towards an object or an idea, e.g. “love for the human race“ in post apo setting)


- Psychological roleplay that is rich in manipulation and psychopathic behavior


- Nuclear Fallout


- Psychopath x Psychopath (as extension of the ideas above)


Or a combination:


- Scifi background (space colonialization, first contact, inter-species political backstabbing) without the space opera component (Nuclear fallout/superweapon backlash/natural phenomenon destroys huge parts of a colony of multiple races and isolates the planet from the rest of the galactic community) with Nuclear Fallout setting (e.g. your character, the experienced survivor and my character, the inexperienced student out in the wastelands) and huge psychopathic undertones (e.g. your character goes by the guidelines of “my survival first, no matter what“ + my character goes by the guidelines of “preservation of knowledge, no matter what“).


Add in some common goals (e.g. military facility for food storage/big database), sources of conflict (“you are wasting storage space, stop carrying so many god damn books!“ “Maybe we wouldn't have a storage space problem if you stopped looting every broken piece of garbage we come across because it 'might be useful someday'.“) and humoristic undertones (e.g. slice of life scenes of the “typical life of a blood soaked survivor in an elementary school of a non-human settlement, dealing with problems like aliens trying to recruiting a new teacher, radiation sickness and the question of how many rusty nails are enough rusty nails to carry with you“) and we might just have something to work with

Hello, I'm not that great in introductions; I am a person to the point so that's what I'm going to do :U


I really liked how you represented yourself and the wide array of themes you do/like. You also seem like a decent person to talk to.


I'm a person who likes talking to the role player about plots and ideas, seems more personal that way then just popping up an idea ya' know? get to know the person behind the character and actually work together to make see which characters clash better. I am a semi-lit writer but if my partner puts work I would put as much work as I can on my own post but something I am very proud of are my characters. Love em' love making characters, Love making characters that seem like one but is another, love making moments for them and seeing their reactions. I. Love. Characters. So Pm me! we can talk, get to know what we are, how we write, and what characters we can push together with. I think it would be fun!
