★ The product of a broken family, Evelyn is a lot of things- resentful, exhausted, and uninterested in building a relationship with her step family are just a few of them. Tensions between Ev and her step sibling's are on the rise as the households struggle to blend and no one seems to be on Evelyn's side throughout all of it. Simultaneously, she's missing her mother who is halfway across the country, and her older brother who is becoming increasingly difficult to stay in touch as with he starts the final year of his Bachelor's. Logically, she hasn't been abandoned, but sometimes, when it's particularly bad, it sure feels like it. So Evelyn took matters into her own hands. She could control who she was friends with ("the wrong crowd") and what she put in her body (a healthy mix of caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol). In desperate need of a distraction, a hobby, something that wasn't school or a job, Ev got into coding. Having always been a bright student, Evelyn rapidly took to the challenge that was hacking.

What started as pure curiosity shifted to something more serious when she uncovered a scandal that had been swept under the rug while poking around in the admin email repository. Anonymously, she released the incriminating emails, and promptly marking the start of her criminal career. Armed with the knowledge that she could deal real damage, Ev behind a computer became dangerous. Her work became primarily a combination of sticking her nose where it didn't belong in the name of "hacktivism" and good old malware scams and password trafficking for some quick cash. Prolific as a hacker, her grades slipped as her priorities shifted, and her social life for the most part withered. Her father and stepmother fed up with her bad attitude and apparent laziness began to search for some sort of solution to Ev's increasingly reckless and disrespectful behavior.

They found their solution to the Evelyn problem the night of junior prom. Stupidly, she got a little too drunk at the after party, and even more stupidly- tried to make it home. Subsequently her car was totaled, and she found herself being escorted to the police station, unaware they had recovered her laptop. From there the situation spiraled, and with the help of a good lawyer it became juvie or summer camp. As stupid as it sounds, Ev reckons summer camp is probably the better option.

★ Fortitude was born into a very religious family along with his older sister Ashley. Their mother is a famous actress, cold and indifferent toward the kids. rarely ever home, travels frequently. Their father is a television evangelist, very cruel and strict. He would constantly abuse the kids, claiming it was for their own good He would often quote bible quotes while beating them. The family is very rich and when in the spotlight acts as the perfect little family. Growing up fort was always very protective of his sister and would attempt to take on the "punishment" himself. stepping in to take the blows and to make sure she was never touched. he developed anger issues resenting the world for not looking past the perfect family image shown in the media. he began to get involved in fighting, taking MMA lessons without telling his father. He started acting out, making sure to keep his fathers attention focused on him so his sister would be okay. More than that he wanted to shatter the lies, and ruin the picture perfect image that the world sees. In school he was in and out of dentation, starting fights constantly. when his sister turned 18 things got so much worse for him since he was now the only one that had to stay at the house. with so much anger in him, he found an underground fighting ring and would fight almost every night. he was slowly destroying himself, relishing in the feel of beating someone into unconsciousness. he never resented his sister for leaving the house tho, she hadn't wanted to but he told her to escape while she still could. she tried to help in her own way, watching him become angrier and angrier, coming back with black eyes and bruised knuckles every night.

one night he horribly lost a fight, having just came out of a fight with sister and later a fight with his father. of course he had been punished for talking bak and he should have cancelled the fight, not in a state for combat. however fort was as stubborn as they come and refused to back down. he lost horribly, gaining numerous injuries, including broken ribs and a peirced lung. he had to be rushed to the ER. the state of his injuries raised concerns and the police questioned him. from inside the room he saw his father walk in and talk to the receptionist with an angry look in his eyes and fortitude for once in his life stopped fighting. at least jail would be better than whatever his father had planned for him. he confused everything about his illegal activities and was arrested for trespassing and assault & battery. his sister pleaded for him in court, asking for lenience and explaining the situation to the judge. an investigation was opened into their family and his sister got custody of him, in the meantime he would have to go to camp redemption to be rehabilitated and work on his anger issues and need to strike out against the world. initially he resisted the idea but his sister had gone through so much to give him a second chance. their family was torn apart, his fathers funds suspended. all they had was each other, and for her he would try. not thrilled with the idea of camp, but committing nonetheless.

★ Artemis is the first and only child of a French-American politician, Louis Mercier. His mother, although not a politician herself, is the great woman behind his father, who plans and executes many of her husband's 'ideas'. Artemis originally grew up in Nice, France, before relocating to Washington DC in the United States. Growing up, Artemis' parents were... less than affectionate. Artemis was little more than an obligation for them; which is why he could never work out why he was conceived in the first place - he can only assume that his parents were trying to portray the traditional family image. Whatever the case, Artemis was raised more by those who worked for his parents than his parents themselves.

As they got older, this started to bother them more and more. They also began to become more concerned with their parents politics; specifically, they disagreed with the majority of it. He saw that his parents cared more about their reputation than whether what they supported or established was affecting other communities. Artemis, however, knew he couldn't influence his parents. They barely even knew he existed. So, he started to rebel. Maybe they were subconsciously begging for attention, maybe they just wanted to show independence - maybe it was a mixture. He started with getting his ears pierced, then his nose, and then he experimented with clothing and gender presentation. Through all this, his parents never got too mad. They were clearly of the opinion that if they just gave Artemis a little bit of leeway, he would be satisfied and never take it too far.

Then, at 15, he was obtaining fake IDs and getting tattoos. Although he was never caught for this particular crime, it definitely sparked a fire in him. When they wanted to escape home, they found run-down warehouses or buildings, almost always marked with 'Private Property' signs. After his parents tracked him down at a tattoo parlour and caused a ruckus while arguing with him - and threatening to sue the tattoo artist - Artemis was banned from that particular parlour. Nevertheless, they returned a few weeks later, and when they refused to leave, the owner threatened to call the police. Artemis continued to trespass, even picking locks or breaking and entering to get into certain buildings. This went on up until he was almost arrested; of course, he resisted the arrest, and was close to spending a night in a cell. Of course, his parents used their power to get him released after only an hour or two.

Clearly fed up, after his 16th birthday, Artemis' parents presented him with the letter to Camp Redemption. Surprisingly, Artemis wasn't actually super displeased about it. It meant they could get away from their parents, and who knew what there was to explore out in wherever-the-fuck this camp was? Still, Artemis is certain that no camp could ever change his mentality, or stop him from picking up right where he left off when he gets home.

  Chandler Levi Collier was the second child of Hadley and James Collier, preceded by his elder brother of three years, Cash Collier, and then followed by his younger brother of three years, Easton Collier. The family of five had it good. Hadley and James— well, mostly James— were a well off couple. They had inherited a family business, accumulating much of the generational wealth that had been passed on in the Collier family, making James the CEO of a large company. Their wealth gave them very much influence in their world. Why they decided to settle in picturesque New Jersey is beyond me, but all three boys were born and raised in Jersey.
  
  The boys were spoiled. They got everything they ever wanted, frequently went without any consequences, and had every opportunity that money could buy. The Collier boys became known to be rich asshole trouble makers in their little slice of the world. They always got in trouble with the law, but never paid for it. Money swatted away officers and legal troubles like flies, and eventually the police were in the Collier's back pocket. Partying, underaged drinking, wrecking expensive cars. They should have had their own reality show.
  
  Such behaviors are attributed to the absentness of their parents. James always worked and Hadley... Well. Hadley had a means of entertaining herself. Behind closed doors, the Colliers had an open marriage. So, while James slept with his work secretary(who got pregnant around the same time as Hadley, though the Colliers were lead to believe she had lost the baby and she quit) and her replacement, Hadley had a revolving door of partners who were present in the boys' lives. Being around so many strangers, the boys were left vulnerable to on and off abuse. Both Levi and Easton had been sexually assaulted once when they were young. Levi doesn't remember. Trauma has blocked it from his mind.
  
  And maybe, just maybe, if that had never happened, Levi wouldn't have had an incident. As he got older, his emotional control decreased and he seemed to get angrier and angrier. Most mistook his explosiveness and hot-headedness for passion. At first, the incidents seemed reasonable. Then they seemed like maybe he was having a bad day and everyone should cut him some slack. And then they were out of hand and ridiculous. Because of his parents' influence, most of the town turned a blind eye to his antics. They'd get better. Maybe it was a hormonal thing. Let him blow off steam. No one really thought it was that bad. If it was, surely Hadley and James would step in. Right?
  
  It was ignored. No one noticed the warning signs. No one thought it was that bad until he disappeared for the summer. No one knew what happened to him. Just one day, he was gone. And then, the truth came out and spread like wildfire. He'd gotten into a fight with his brothers that had gotten out of hand. Levi pulled a gun on Easton, and was fully intending to shoot. When Cash stepped in, he turned the weapon upon himself. At first, people thought he had gotten really drunk and the incident was a crazy but stupid mistake. But no one could piece together why they'd send Levi away. People pestered Cash until he revealed that Levi had IED and he was getting help. He was sent to stay with family until he was reformed enough to come home. He had gone undiagnosed until it was almost too late.
  
  Money couldn't totally solve this problem or make it consequence-free for Levi. It was this or he faced jail time, and there was talk about trying him as an adult. The threat still looms if he can't prove he's been reformed through this summer camp, therapy, and medication. Medication and summer camp happen now, therapy comes after. Needless to say, when he got his letter, Levi was relieved. This meant his reputation wasn't totally ruined, though he'd have no leg to stand on(socially speaking) when he returned home to Jersey. This meant his name stayed out of the papers and his future in business and politics was still secure. However, the other half of him was pissed. He has no interest in telling ghost stories and roasting marshmallows with petty street rats. Can't say this camper is a happy one.

His muscle tone and definition has almost entirely disappeared, though every now and again you can catch a glimpse at the faint outline of what once was like when he flexes, such as seeing the contour of his six-pack only when he laughs. The loss of most of that muscle mass makes his appearance seem a lot thinner and more worn.
  
  He has a pale skintone with a soft, golden undertone, with dark circles under his hooded, sunken eyes. His eyes themselves are bluegreen in color, appearing more greenish in direct lighting, and blue in darker. His mother always liked to call them "ocean blue", like the cyan color of the waves in scenic Italy. He too has some distinct moles that add character to appearance, with two large ones on the left side of his face(his left, viewer's right)— one situated just on his cheekbone and the other right above his jaw with smaller, more faded moles between them— and one on his chin on the right side of his face. He also has a couple frequently visible ones on his neck/chest, the underside of his chin, and his arms and back are also riddled in small patches. No worries though, most of them are flat and cause no problems. The couple that are raised are on his back and healthy to still have intact.
  
  His hair, coffee in color with a bits of sandy/reddish strands, has a natural wave to it, though it never seems to be out of place.   Livia was the youngest daughter to Sarah and Matthew Cook, with three elder sisters: Virginia(23), Lindsay(20), and Taylor(18). Sarah was a stay-at-home mom and a great one, too. Just had her hands full with four kids running around. She was tough and made sure to shelter her children from any hardships the family was facing. She wanted the kids to have a normal childhood. Or as normal of a childhood she and Matthew could provide. They were a low-income family, so they couldn't provide much outside of what Matthew made in the Army. Which, as an Enlisted wasn't much, despite being Special Forces. The couple did their best, though financial issues worsened when Matthew was killed in action during one of his deployments.
  
  It was clear early on that the youngest Cook was clingy. She was constantly around one of her parents and exhibited behavioral issues whenever Matthew deployed. When Matthew died when Livia was eleven(11), clinginess became unresolved attachment issues— and those issues weren't just with people anymore either. She became attached to objects as well. She was obsessive about the strangest things. She stopped talking fantasy, but her art projects grew in scale. She was always doing something with her talents. She was so engrossed with such projects that for her thirteenth(13th) birthday, Sarah bought Livia a nice, expensive camera. Excited, she took off into the world and experimented with photography.
  
  Her obsessive and easily attached natures really came out when she saw him. Atticus Lee Hill. Human perfection(or so she thought)— the perfect subject for a much larger art project than she was used to. She was shy, so she couldn't just ask him to be her art subject. So she had to find another way to get it done. She became obsessed with taking the perfect pictures of him. She kept taking more and more, she couldn't stop. And it wasn't enough. It needed more. She swiped some of his small trinkets, but one day his phone. And that's when he started noticing. Not long after, the police got involved. Her photo collection of Atticus was seized and so was the smaller of her SD cards. Some of the photos were a little intimate, which worsened the charges against her. Her mother is spending a lot of money to send Livia here. It was highly recommended and keeps her out of the system.

★ sasha grew up in a very traditional household and was never that close with her family. in elementary school, she become friends with apollo kowalczyk. he was the new kid and sasha was very outgoing and wanted to befriend him, and it definitely took a while. sasha was persistent and eventually apollo came around and the two have been best friends ever since. she was there for him through his coming out process just as he was there for her. she was also there for him during his abusive relationship, and once things ended between the two was the reason for his exes broken nose. apollo was also the biggest source of support for her when she wanted to pursue mma. she was lucky her parents let her take boxing and mma growing up, under the premise of self defense for their "precious little flower". when she wanted to take it further they were not on board and it was very disheartening for her until apollo talked her into it and 6 years later she has a very hefty professional mma career behind her. she recently found out she had endometriosis. that as well as her extreme exercise over the years caused her to become infertile and unable to have children. it was this news that caused her to call it quits from mma. she had a rough year, as sasha has always loved children and was excited to have a family of her own. apollo invited her to come work at the camp, seeing as she was perfectly capable of filling the security guard position that was just opened. she took the opportunity, and this is her first year here at camp redemption.
