Welcome to Camp Half-Blood, a state of the art training facility for demigods young and old!

Camp Half-Blood is a haven for demigods who wish to train and be safe from looming monsters. Every and any demigod (Greek, of course) is welcome here, as we are all on eachother's side.

This camp is located deep in a forest, far from nosey mortals who enjoy snooping around. However, for those mortals who have found it, the facade is called "Delphi's Strawberry Services" because the camp has basically miles of strawberries surrounding it and the name is also reference to the Oracle of Delphi.

To whom it may concern,

If you are reading this, I am truly and genuinely sorry. It means that you have found out that you are a demigod, spawn of gods and goddesses, or a "half-blood" as many people call it.

I'd like to tell you things will get better on from here on out, but that would just be a lie. The truth is that you still got a lot of dangerous work ahead of you, kid. Train hard, watch your back learn to cooperate with your cabin mates because they are now your family. Your life now depends upon it.

Monsters are everywhere, the gods are watching and come of them won't be on your side...

Sincerely, Mr. Masin (Camp Director)

"Families are a mess, immortal families are eternally messy. Sometimes the best thing we can do is to remind each other that we're related, for better or for worse... and try to keep the killing to a minimum." ~ Hermes, god of transitions and boundaries and mail.

Jacob Bowie raced up to the net with lightning speed, literally, and leaped up. His hand hit the ball once more and it landed with a thud in the court ground. While everyone else on his and the other team were panting like insane dogs, Jacob hadn't broken a sweat.

"You... aren't being... fair... Jacob." a camper said while gasping for air. "Not everyone... is... a child... of Hermes. Be.. normal.. like us, and run at... normal speed. Not your... 'two times the speed of sound' thing."

Jacob just laughed. Them being tired and angry at him made him feel good.

"Well that's your problem. Hermes must've not liked your mother, so he chose mine instead." Jacob joked. It was a rule that you had to be kind to the other campers, so he had to make sure his tone sounded like a joke.

"Who is up for another round?" he asked, with grin on his face. Everyone collapsed and groaned. "Well how 'bout that?" Jacob laughed.

Mr. Masin trotted soundlessly out of the Big House and quickly made his way down the hill, clutching a horn. He paused and swayed his tail, watching all the campers scamper around, doing a million things every second. He shook his head, trying to suppress a smirk before he broke out into a canter and moved into the amphitheater. The centaur lifted up the horn and blew loudly, allowing the ear-splitting sound to resonate throughout camp, calling all the teens to come and meet him in the amphitheater. It was time to do his "start up, new year of monsters and fighting speech". As the centaur waited, he pulled out an apple from his side bag and took an idle bite.

Venicia slowly walked out of the Zeus cabin, rubbing her gray-blue eyes sleepily. A yawn escaped her mouth as she stretched, listening for the crack in her spine and neck. As usual she was dressed in her comfortable battle garments, consisting of a brown, gold and white puff sleeved blouse with several different buckles on the front and a blue, gold and brown short skirt and gold and white boots that stop just below the skirt's lining.

She walked towards the woods, her sword, Icos, already unsheathed and gripped tightly in her right pale and scarred hand. Her blue-gray eyes glittered with the hunger of a battle as she searched out a monster to fight and test her skills.

(sorry if this is bad...)

Rowen sat on the front steps of her cabin reading her book. as far as she knew she was the only daughter of Hestia so she got a cabin to herself. Toby walked up smiling. "Hey didn't you hear the horn bookworm!" Toby said Laughing. "What?!" She said as she stood up quickly and dropped her book on the steps. "Don't worry. Lets go" Toby laughed. Char even looked like he was chuckling on Toby's shoulder.

When they arrived they both took a seat and began to wait. "Thumbwar?" Toby said smiling. "Sure! But I'm gunna win!" Rowen said laughing they began to play.

Venicia's head lifted up at the sound of the horn and a forlorn sigh escaped from her mouth. She sadly sheathed Icos and turned around, heading towards the amphitheater. Looks like fighting monsters would have to wait...

Victorique sat on her bed, flipping silently through her book with a soft sigh, her astute ears picking up the loud scream of the horn, telling campers to gather. She scowled as her red eyes shot up to peer out the window towards the amphitheater. Another blow of the horn that seemed to be amplified in her cabin because of the open window. Sbe huffed angerily and got up, slamming her book down. She stalked across the cabin and closed the window before turning her back. She really ought to join. Mr. Masin did want her to stand beside him. She grumbled atrociously and stripped of her bedtime attire, replacing it with a full suit of crytal-like armour that seemed to shimmer when the sunlight poured in from the giant bay window. Victorique allowed her long scarlet hair to hang flat, bangs almost covering her left eye. She scanned the room, her visage lacking any jaunty silhouettes.

Mr. Masin trotted back and forth anxiously, brandishing his apple outward with every hand gesture as he mouthed the words of his speech. Of course, he was turned away from the already accumulating campers and beckoned forth a nymph, who offered a goblet of wine. He took a quick swig and handed it back to her tiny, sun-kissed hands and watched her retreat without a word. He murmured a quick 'thanks' before turning around, taking a small bite of his apple once more as he locked his eyes on Rowen before they slipped to Toby.

"Serenity!" A Voice called out, but this wasn't any regular voice, it was a horse's voice. Serena groaned as she turned to face a Pure white Pegisas. "We need you! Emergency!" The Horse yipped, fluttering his wing's slightly. "What is it?" She mumbled in a low tone, Personally the horse's had always come to her when there was a problem at the lake. "A Net! Tangled, Need help!" It cried barely jumping into the air. Serena nodded, as she walked off to the lake's shore.

Water lapped the sand as she stood there. "Hurry! Tension Building!" He urged, glancing hazily at the water. "Be back later, Rider. " She proclaimed as she kicked off her shoe's and headed for the bank. Serena quickly dove into the freakishly cool water, she released her breath as she swam further under the surface. Being a Child of Posideon had it's Advantages and Disavantages. Serena forced the water to push her further under, until a small fish swam up to her. "Help! Please, Need your Asistance!" The fish's voice sounded urgent, but the bubbly expression it held on it's face, helped Serena crack a grin.

Before she knew it, she had neared a coral reef. Fish frantically swam in alert. She grimanced at each voice, each fish was screaming in usion. Announcing things like "Fish need Help! Filthy Mortal's! Net, Bad Net!" If she could have yelled at them to be quiet she would have already. Serena paddled through the water, until she saw it. Two, no three Angelfish were flapping under a silver net. "Oh boy." She thought, as she pulled out a bronz dagger. This, for some reason, made the fish flee. "Sea God's Child is here!" The Angelfish exclaimed, they began to chant even more as she began to saw through the net.

Serena frowned, as she discovered the net was tangled into the coral reef. Oh Goody! Serena thought, as she began to fiddle with the net some more. Five minute's later, the net was untangled and the fish freed. Each shooting off in seperate ways. Without a single thank you, they were gone. Serena swam to the top, resurfacing as she glanced around. How long had she been under?
That was when she had heard the siren of a horn.

She quietly slipped into the crowd of campers, trying not to be seen by Mr. Masin, knowing she would most likely get in trouble. Again. Having been known around the camp for a being... Troublesome, and tempermental, she tried to keep a low profile in the crowd, slipping through the people near the back.

Serena swam to the shore quickly, as she stepped out of the water, the cool air bit at her skin rapidly. She hadn't plan for a mid-day swim. Serena ringed out the water in her orange CHB T-shirt. Serena's denim jean's were soaked as she ran towards the Ampitheater. Serena twisted the water out of her hair as it, nappily might she add, laid on her shoulders.

Serena appeared beside the crowd, she slipped in quietly. She was usially not late, but today it wasn't her fault. Serena seperated through the crowd, until she found a vacant seat. She plopped down with a wet Plop! Serena looked down and realized she ha forgotten her shoe's down at the river side. "Oh Man.." She mumbled quietly. Serena's hair seemed black when wet.

Mr. Masin looked around for Victorique with a deep frown before quickly glancing at Serenity.

"Have you seen Victorique? I know I shouldn't worry because not all campers are here yet but by chance, did you spot her anywhere on the way back from the lake?" he inquired, sounding a little bewildered. He was avid to get on with his speech and bestow good tidings onto all the new and old campers. He begun to gently caress his side, feeling the soft hair under his calloused hands and observed the crowd, but mostly Serenity; awaiting a reply.

"Potentiis luna... da mihi lumen tuum..." A sharp blow of the horn cut her off mid chant. Celia groaned and snapped shut the spell book. She'd been struggling for a week, trying to learn that spell. If only she could figure it out, maybe it would help. It had to... She'd tried everything else.

Shaking her head, she remembered the horn and stood up, placing the book back on her bedside table. Of course, there really was no need for her to rush to the amphitheatre. She'd heard the same speech for eleven years now. Living alone in a cabin for eleven years had been lonely, but at times like this she enjoyed it. Siblings would mess with her alter, spell books, ingredients, and everything else.

As she walked by herself, she raked her fingers through her hair, plaiting it into a short braid. As quietly as she could, she slipped into the empty seat. A soft smile pulled at her lips as she recognised the familiar hand movements that always accompanied this particular speech. Centaurs were so habitual.

Serena pushed her dripping hair behind her ear as she looked up at Mr. Masin. Victorique? She wondered, slightly. Serena did know her, but they weren't very close. "Sorry Mr. Masin, Haven't seen her. Maybe," She replied, gently. "She's in her cabin, or somewhere else." Serena exclaimed, arranging her feet into a different position. The floor below her had dripped into a puddle around her feet, Oh graet! She thought.

Jacob heard the horn instantly and zoomed over to Mr. Masin faster than the speed of the sound of the horn. A few leaves had been ruffled and some animals dashed away retreating from the pure figure of speed. Most camper were staring at him and Jacob flushed with red, only to regain his confidence seconds later.

"Jacob Bowie, Hermes Cabin, present!" Jacob announced to Mr. Masin. "Otherwise, hello sir. I'm assuming your day has been good?"

Campers turned their attention back to Mr. Masin, and Jacob did the same.

The centaur frowned even deeper and looked towards Jacob, his head cocking. "I know who you are, son of Hermes. You look a lot like your father. Would you do a favor for me, Bowie? Go to Cabin Nike and bring Victorique to me. Careful with your words with her. Her tongue is as sharp as a dagger and her combat skills worse. I don't want you coming back here with a black eye or worse," he shuddered. His adoptive daughter could be very... violent.

"This would mean a lot to me. Tell her I am awaiting her to stand by my side. Hurry along, now, Bowie. Can't keep all the campers waiting."

"Yes sir. Please forgive me outburst. I shall try to do better next time. She won't be able to touch me, but I will be extremely careful just for good measure. Until then, cheerio!" Jacob smiled at Mr. Masin and then took off, rustling the leaves and people around him. In almost an instant he was a Cabin. He had never really been here that much, but Jacob had to do what the director said so he went inside. Jacob saw Victorique in the cabin, and he walked up to her, this time normal speed.

"Victorique, its me, Jacob. Mr. Masin sent me to get you, and to hurry. Come along please." he said to the girl. The son of Hermes shivered a little at the sight of this teen. Maybe she was more powerful then he thought.

Venicia sighed in relief and sat down on the ground, legs crossed. She then let her mind wander a little as she looked up at the sky, wishing she could be up there among the clouds. Suddenly a sad memory hit her and her blue-grey eyes started to tear up.

"Listen! You need to get out of here! Its too dangerous for you to stay!" A young fourteen year old girl with long red hair and amber eyes yelled at a twelve year old Venicia. "No! I won't leave you behind Ambera!" Venicia defiantly screamed as a seventeen year old boy dragged her away as the girl, Ambera, stood up shakily and faced a large dragon-like creature with vicious red eyes and razor sharp teeth about twelve feet long. Ambera drew her sword, which seemed similarly designed to Venicia's Icos. But before the fourteen year old girl could even move, the dragon-like creature's tail shot straight through Ambera's heart, killing her instantly.

Victorique slowly turned around, watching closely as the son of Hermes opened up the door to her cabin. Her red eyes flickered up his body and back down, studying his structure out of pure interest and habit. "Mr. Masin, huh?" her tone was as soft as honey being dribble on dangerously sharp ice spikes and she sounded rather bemused. Her tone almost seemed venomous and her body language shouted 'coiled and taut; ready for anything!' The daughter of Nike slowly moved towards the boy and leaned down, her face inches from his. "Tell him I'll be right there. After I polish my butterfly knife," she breathed, her breath smelling strongly of sickeningly sweet fruit. Victorique's piercing eyes slowly narrowed as she recoiled and turned to her weapons rack without another word. She didn;t wait to see if the boy had vanished before to pulled the small golden knife off her side table and opened it up. She grabbed a cloth and some polish and begun to scrub harshly at the blade, seemingly dauntless of the sharp blade.

Jacob felt as if his soul had been punctured. Her icy cold stare was rending. It almost made him want to run across the pacific ocean into China. He shoved the thought out of his head and opened his mouth to speak. Hoepfully these would be the last few words.

"Sure thing...Victorique. I tell him." Jacob said a little more nervously then he would of liked. The son of Hermes nodded and walked out the door. This time he didn't zoom back. That gaze and voice of Victorique echoed in his mind, making it feel like he couldn't do anything.

When Jacob reached Mr. Masin, he felt weird. Was it normal to look at another demigod and then have a stomach ache three minutes later?

"She... she says she will be right out." Jacob said, while forcing a smile. Then he sat down, shaken.

Victorique tried to force down a cruel, unpleasant smile at the boy's wavering tone as she finished her polishing. She placed everything back in the right places but kept the newly cleaned butterfly knife in her hands. Running a hand through her silky red locks, she pushed opened the door of her cabin and walked slowly after Jacob, her eyes surveying his every step until she reached the gathering and moved towards Mr. Masin, people going out of their way to move out of her path. She sighed softly and leaned against a tree, crossing one ankle over the other and glancing at Mr. Masin. From here, she had a clear view of every camper.

Mr. Masin watched Jacob return and frowned at the change in his tone. He would have to have a talk with Victorique about scaring the newer campers. He nodded and his eyes slid to watch as the daughter of Nike made her way to his side; right at the front. Tossing the apple into a garbage bin, he opened his arms wide to embrace the crowd. "May I start with; WELCOME BACK TO CAMP HALF-BLOOD!" he billowed loudly, allowing his voice to reach every crevice within the vicinity. His tone was strong and powerful and was enough to clap after every sentence. He was kind of like a talk-show host, but if you swapped clapping with cheers.

Andromeda waltzed through the strawberry fields, toying with the plants every now and then, just trying to clear her mind. She hadn't spoken to her father in quite a while and she was quite worried about him. The wind played with her brown hair as she walked gracefully through the rows, lost in thought. Andi heard the call from Mr. Masin and sighed, turning and bounding rather quickly to the amphitheater. There was already a large crowd of people gathered and she could see Leander, her best friend, seated towards the back. Pushing through the crowd, she plopped down next to him, smiling brightly.

Leander was leaned back on his elbows when Andi approached. He gave her a nod as greeting and focused on Mr. Masin. He was one of the few people Leander would actually pay attention to. Leander tended to be a bit of a trouble maker and definitely had issues with authority. Leander sat up straight as Mr. Masin began the speech he used each time. Leaner and Andi could practically quote it now. They both had been here a while, that was for sure. Leander was best known for his skill with a sword and bow. He was feared in the arena, but not so much when it came to matters of the mind. That was Andi's department. People said the two of them were like two halves of one person, each polar opposites, but they somehow balanced each other out.

Andi leaned on Leander and played with the necklace lined with beads that hung around her neck. Yes, it was evident by that necklace that she was a veteran here. Andi had just one less bead than her, which was a fact she often teased him about.

Andi silently hoped this wouldn't take too long: she had plants to tend to in her cabin. Leander just wanted to get back to the arena. He was definitely the brawn of their duo.

Serenity smiled as The camp director had began to announce. The girl, Victorique was standing at his side. She frightened her, but she didn't say anything to Victorique anyways so, no harm done? She figured, Serena watched as Mr. Masin announced a welcome back to the one and only camp half-blood. Serena tilted her head slightly as she listened to him talk. This should be interesting! She thought sarcastically.

Mr. Masin's speech seemed to take even longer than usual. While he droned on, his "daughter" Victorique stood off to the side. Something about that girl just seemed to set everyone off. Celia herself had never been afraid of the girl, but she did tend to avoid her. Then again, she avoided pretty much everyone.

Tilting her head, she looked around the rest of the amphitheatre. Many old faces, just as many new. Her hand flew to her necklace, toying with the central bead. It was delicately carved with her mother's three forms. Several other surrounded it on both sides. Not as many as the other veterans, mainly because she'd never cared to work for them. She preferred to spend all her time during the day in her cabin, reading spell books, and her nights outside, talking to her mother. She only wished that some time she would get a response.

Vincent had heard the horn. His eyes opened up quick as he knew this was the sound of a meeting. He threw his clothes on which consisted of a brownish black v-neck shirt and grey ripped jeans which led over his converse. His brown hair fell down and swooshed over his brown eyes as he darted towards the door. He opened the door quickly and quietly shut it behind him. He knew he was late, but just maybe he could sneak in without being caught. He didn't want to make the camp leader mad. That would be a big mistake.

He moved quickly to get to the amphitheater dodging anything that got in his way. He moved like a shadow as he swirled around trying to get there. His hair hindered his sight at moments, but he trusted his body movements. He seen a group he could slip into. He knew he was in the right place, but how to slip in he wondered. He almost came to a stop as he tried to strategically plan his way to get in. Finally, an idea came. He snuck around like a shadow until a precise moment where he thought he wouldn't be seen and slid into the group. He hoped he had blended in well, but he knew his piercing and tattoos would make his identity known.

The centaur grinned wide at all the campers and stepped back, glancing at Victorique before nodding. There seemed to be a change in the plans for this year's introduction.

The red-haired female slowly took a step forward, gracefully pushing off the tree without a single sound. She felt a wave of silence hush the crowd as she stepped up to the plate and slipped her golden butterfly knife into her back pocket. She cleared her throat and glanced sideways at Mr. Masin who gave her a nod to start.

"Salutations, one and all. I know you expected a dialogue from the old man, but you just will have to deal with me for now. We agreed that this year I will be starting off the introductions because I have some dire news to invoke and bestow upon you all. First I will repeat what Mr. Masin said; welcome to Camp Half-Blood, new and old. You have traveled from the shelter of your home, made your may through danger and safely entered our Camp. For others, we welcome you back and we hope that your winter break was amazingly perfect and you slue as many miserable monster ars-"

"-AHUMPH!" interjected the centaur.

"Sorry, butt -- as possible," the girl flashed her bright white teeth in a quick smile, her eyes flickering to her shoes as she compiled herself, ignoring the giggling of the nymphs. "Now. Back to business. You should all know now that there has been whispers among the trees, nymphs, horses, saytr and naiads of a girl by the name of Chione Perthshire, a daughter of Ares. She went missing years ago and left behind a small slip of paper with a hard to decipher code. After three years, I have found out what it is. The code is a location... a location within camp. Yes, you heard me. Within camp. I am requesting a small group of you to gather before me after this speech and introduction, if you be worthy... to join me in the quest to seek out the child of bloodshed; a kin here to everyone at camp. She has been here long before anyone, including me. The only person who was graced to meet her was Mr. Masin and I, as well as some old nymphs and saytrs."

Mr. Masin bowed his head, recalling memories of the easily tempered but the kind and clever female. She was only fourteen when she vanished from camp without a word. Only a slip of paper left.
