      Winston is, to be quite frank, rather spontaneous. Sometimes he's sitting and being calm and relaxed, other times he is up on his feet and could keep anyone around him on their toes. You can get along with him if you're able to keep up with his enthusiasm and the fact that he can go from sitting down to not being able to sit still. Boredom tends to set in very easily with Winston, he is a person who needs something to keep him occupied. Winston tends to goof off and be on the more comical side. He's funny, tries to make people laugh and smile.

  On the outside, Naomi can come across as kind of an asshole. She hardly thinks before she speaks, always has an opinion about something, and she often finds herself steamrolling over other people when she doesn't check herself. She is hard to get to know on the surface however, if you are around her consistently, she will begin to show another side of her.
  
  If Naomi opens up to you, you are in her circle for life. She is incredibly loyal and she will do everything she can to keep you in her life. When Naomi makes friends she keeps them close and will come to their defense even if they are in the wrong. She loves fiercely and will never let anyone forget it. She's the type of person to constantly check in with her friends to see if they made it home safe after a night of partying. Her love language is gifts so she will always surprise her friends with little trinkets she finds that remind her of them. To her little keepsakes are things that are permanent. After growing up with all of her belongings in trash bags, moving from home to home, she enjoys keeping knick-knacks to remind her of the people she loves and the places she's been.
  
  Her most treasured possession is a locket that had been stolen from her first foster home. It had been her foster mother's and Naomi would always admire it in the jewelry box when she thought she was alone. She loved touching the intricate design on the golden chain and she often wondered why nothing was in the locket when she would open it. It was one of the prettiest pieces of jewelry she had ever seen and her foster mother never even wore it. One of Naomi's friends in the foster home often saw her toying with the locket when their foster parents weren't around. When Naomi was packing for her next placement, her friend gently placed the locket in Naomi's hands. They weren't particularly close, but this one act of kindness always stayed with Naomi. It was the first time anyone had cared enough about her to gift her something, even if it was stolen jewelry. She always wears it around her neck and she is waiting for the perfect picture to fill the locket with. If she ever lost the locket, she would be absolutely devastated.
  
  Overall, Naomi tries to be the very best person she can be. She knows that she is rough around the edges, but she hopes the people around her will take the time to get to know her before throwing judgement. She may be a wild card, but she truly enjoys living life to the fullest and going wherever the wind takes her. There are times her inner demons will sabotage her and cause her to have intense anxiety. Sometimes she revels in her negative emotions and then guards herself from the people who care about her. When she is struggling to articulate what she's upset about, she often turns to anger. She will give you the cold shoulder or she may say something she doesn't actually mean before storming off. She won't open up when she's stressed, but she may go for a run or she may find something to throw punches at to get her aggression out. She never means to hurt anyone when she's in these moods so when she knows one is coming around she will try to find a way to cope with it away from the people she loves.

  Naomi could count the amount of happy memories she had from her childhood on one hand. Her mother and father were young kids that had graduated high school together. They had a whirlwind romance that burnt out faster than it began. When Naomi's mother found out she was pregnant they tried to stay together "for the baby" but what resulted was a cold war marriage that lasted for eight years. When the divorce had been announced to Naomi she was relieved. There wouldn't be constant fights with objects being thrown against walls, her father's infidelity wouldn't be a constant topic at the dinner table, and ultimately, Naomi could live in house where she could find peace.
  
  The custody battle had been easy enough. Naomi's mother fought for full custody and her father was quick to comply. He had never wanted to be a father, so paying child support and only having Naomi come over every other weekend covered what he was expected to do. For a little while the arrangement worked. She was content living with her parents in separate homes. It was never consistent, but at least they were happier without each other. Just when she felt comfortable with her new living arrangement, Naomi's new life crumbled around her. During one of her weekends with her father she had gone into his room to wake him up, but he wouldn't move no matter how much she tried shaking him awake. Doctors had to explain to her that his heart had simply stopped working and there was nothing she could do to save him. She had never felt more useless.
  
  When Naomi would be at her father's house, Naomi's mother would have fun on her own. It started innocently enough and she never meant to become addicted, but the pull of cocaine was unlike anything she had ever felt. She always told herself that it would only be on weekends Naomi would be gone, but after her ex-husband's death it became more consistent. Suddenly, she would be out at parties every weekend getting her next fix. Naomi knew what her mother was doing when she would be gone for days at a time, but she was twelve and she could take care of herself. When her mother would be gone, Naomi would spend her time doing her homework, playing video games, and walking to the local recreation center to play sports with the other kids in her neighborhood. It was good for a while even if it was lonely.
  
  During spring break, Naomi's mother had left Naomi alone for a full week. She only meant to be gone for a few days, but time seemed to slip further and further away from her. Reality didn't sink in until she was pulled over for a DUI and spent the night in a cell at the local police station. Naomi had called the police when her mother hadn't come back for six days. When Naomi's social worker showed up at the apartment, she couldn't believe that Naomi had been surviving off of Lucky Charms for an entire week. The cupboards were empty, the milk was sour, and a twelve year old girl sat innocently on her living room couch with her dirty laundry piling up around her.
  
  Naomi's mother ultimately ended up surrendering her parental rights to Naomi after seeing the wreckage her daughter was living in. This began the never-ending journey of foster homes she would have to endure for the next five years of her life.

  To put it simply, being a foster kid sucked. It was a constant process of packing, unpacking, and then moving placements again. It didn't help that Naomi was an angry kid. She would start fights with her foster families by breaking their belongings, stealing their money, and fighting their biological children if they had them. She hated the looks filled with pity they would give her when she would arrive on their front porch, black trash bag with her belongings in tow. Every word sounded condescending when they spoke to her and it would fill her with even more rage. Every time one of her foster parents would try getting her to open up she would throw insults at them and hide in the room she was given. She was filled with spite and her spite is what made her survive her five years in the foster system.
  
  When she was seventeen Naomi petitioned to live on her own. Her social worker granted it, mostly because she was tired of finding new homes for Naomi to move into. All Naomi had to do was keep her grades up, take weekly drug tests, and make sure her bills were paid. Naomi was determined to finally get out of the system that she hated. She worked two part-time jobs, took online courses to get her high school diploma, and ended up graduating on time. When she graduated high school, Naomi took the leap of faith and applied for colleges. When a university in Portland, Oregon reached out to her to apply, she happily took her chance.

  Now that Naomi is in college she feels more peace within herself. She refuses to talk about her past and simply wants to move past it. This new opportunity to go to college and make something of herself is the perfect opportunity to put everything behind her. Naomi is currently majoring in Nonprofit Development and she is planning on creating her own nonprofit that focuses on helping teenagers navigate the foster care system.
  
  Now that she is in her junior year of college, Naomi is excited to finally start her adult life. She feels like she has more freedom now than she ever has had before. So when she has the chance to go to a cabin in the woods with her friends for a night, she happily takes it no matter what the consequences may be.

  1. How is your social life? | "Well, honestly I've never been the best at expressing myself. I always blamed that on the lack of social experiences during my childhood. I grew up pretty isolated and didn't interact well with others, if at all. My lack of understanding my own as well as others' emotions has led to plenty of awkward misunderstandings or fights. I don't mean to be, but I've been told that I can be pretty insensitive or too blunt in situations. I tend to avoid conversation or getting close to others because of this. "
  
  2. How do you feel about yourself? | "Oh. That's.....a hard question to answer. The short answer is I'm not fond of myself. I struggle with trying to find myself and understanding myself more than I'd like to admit. Sometimes I don't know what's really me or just things/actions I was raised to think yknow? Like I was raised to be distrustful of everyone around me and no matter how much I try to put my trust in others, I always find myself defaulting back and not trusting them. "
  
  3. How are your relationships? | "I feel bad. I've been in prior relationships, but they ended quickly.....I suppose that's not surprising. I genuinely liked the people I was with, but I was unable to express myself and how I felt and it ended up straining the relationship to the point it was just best to end things before they got hurt more. I've been avoiding relationships since in fear of the cycle repeating."
  
  4. What are your future goals? | "Honestly, my only goal was to get as far as possible from my father and his life style. I figured anywhere would be better than staying in the same cycle there. Now that I'm finally away and have been in college for a bit now....i've been unable to figure out what I want to do with the rest of my life. He's passionate, he cares about others, but never had the grades to do anything decent with his life... or at least that's what he thought, anyway. He has a lot of energy in him, he struggles to stay still for longer than a few moments. He works out for fun, not for the muscles, there's something exciting to him about going for runs, lifting weights. It makes him feel better when he's feeling rough. He tries to make friends with everyone which doesn't exactly make him the best fit for the military, especially around those with a severe dislike of the army.
