My Interest Check
Cold. It was all Kataly'a had felt since stepping aboard the Finalizer. Drumond Kaas, her homeworld, was gruelingly hot and humid. Naturally, her wardrobe consisted or airy dresses and outfits that barely covered any skin. Apparently, she'd need a new wardrobe. The battle armor she wore now scarcely constituted an outfit, protecting her most vital spots and leaving her unencumbered to move with freedom needed when fighting.

It didn't do much to prevent hypothermia, however.

Despite the unrelenting chill of the ship, Kataly'a was pleased to be aboard the First Order ship. Though this was far from her first time aboard one, it seemed the most important. The Sith descended princess was well acquainted with the First Order, she was the heir to the throne of a Sith planet after all, but to become a Knight of Ren was the highest honor she could be given.

It had come as no surprise that the First Order had finally come to seek her out, but the warrior princess had been astonished that Kylo Ren believed she would serve him. The Dark Knight and she had never met, but she'd heard stories of the insidious man and even witnessed the aftermath of some of his rage's while visiting First Order ships. As the daughter of Darth Caedus, it was inevitable that the Sith would eventually take interest in her, however Kataly'a had never known whether that interest would be friendly or not. Drumond Kaas had sacrificed many great warriors in their aid of the First Order's conquest, and while it didn't exactly please her, she knew their army could not resist the First Order alone and it was better to serve them willingly then be enslaved. It had paid off, they were one of the First Order's most trusted allies, and now she was being given the honor of being trained as a Sith.

Now, she stood quietly observing the recently empowered Supreme Leader, Kylo Ren. The silence dragged on as her green gaze swept over the man in the mask she had heard so much about. He was strikingly tall, not that she had much to go off of at a meager 5'5, but he loomed large even seated in such a grand throne. It wasn't entirely shocking that he had elected to take on an apprentice after the death of his master, though the rule of two was no longer in place it was much easier for someone with so much power to have a trusted ally to do their bidding for them.

"Commander Ren, it is good to finally meet you." The Sith princess greeted after the prolonged silence, still studying the man before her. "It's been an honor to serve the First Order, I'm even more honored by your selection of me to become your apprentice."

Hux was growing impatient. What was left of the pathetic Resistance had escaped through their fingers yet again because of Kylo's incompetence. The Commander of the Ren was too emotional, too attached to his family and that pathetic desert rat. Now that he was Supreme Leader, Hux doubted that they would ever catch them. That's why he'd sent his most trusted ally to interrogate anyone with any bit of information on the few survivors. They were hardly a threat anymore, depleted to a scarce few with no resources or allies left. They couldn't touch the First Order anymore, but Hux wasn't dumb enough to make the same mistakes others had.

No matter how few the Resistance was, they always came crawling back.

"Arieale! You were supposed to report back here a full week ago. Where the hell have you been?" The general cursed, turning to face the bounty hunter as she strolled into the room. While he wasn't particularly pleased with the rebellious blonde, she was damn good at her job and one of the select few he trusted to get the job done. He had immediately regretted recruiting the stray bounty hunter within a week of bringing her aboard. Her blatant disrespect for authority and refusal to listen to anything he said grated every nerve in his body. If it weren't for her excellence in her field, he might have executed her in the first month.

It had been several years since she'd begun working for him and the First Order, and he'd grown a strange fondness for the stubborn spy. No matter how annoying she might be, she'd never failed him, had even exceeded expectations on numerous accounts. She was also brutally honest, something Hux could appreciate.
