Too Far Gone
Rayen & Mason
Rayen hurried up the steps of the ballroom two at a time, excitement rushing through her as she thought about being reunited with her twin brother, Mason, whom of which she had not seen in 3 years. She forced open the large ballroom doors and stepped inside, her navy vans squeaking on the gleaming marble floor. She looked around hastily, searching for the familiar face that was identical to hers. Instead, she faced dozens of unfamiliar faces. Her shyness began to sink in as she closed the doors carefully behind her, hugging her small bag to her stomach tightly as she made her way through the people. She was against a wall now, still looking around for her brother who hadn't seemed to have arrived yet. "Hello? Excuse me? You guys haven't seen anyone around here named Mason have you?" she asked two girls who were speaking to a boy in front of them.

Mason scanned the outside of the school, taking in each crack and crevice of it carefully, making sure to catch every tiny flaw. He knew his sister was inside, as he had already received numerous texts from her and had seen her as she slipped herself inside the large building. Truth be told, he wasn't too interested in going to the same school as his twin, and really wanted nothing to do with her. They had been close as kids, but that was over now, just like their parent's relationship. He deleted the messages from her and walked up to the ballroom steps, where he decided to take a seat while he waited on the texts to stop coming in or for the orientation to end.
