Everyone wants to find true love. We haven't always been so lucky though. Because people are not satisfied with their partner, they end up doing terrible thing like being unfaithful, constantly arguing, perhaps even turning into a domestic relationship. Then, people began to think: ''If I found the perfect partner, would things be different?'
With that idea, in August 26th 2010, an electronic toymaker went to work.
The Toymaker released this creation the same year, it sharing the form of a thin wristwatch. It was strange, as only the number of days showed on this digital watch, it's number decreasing when 24 hours had passed. It was as if it was counting down to something. This fun creation was only supposed to be a funny thing, each pair watch having the same randomly generated time, then sold separately. It seemed most people thought it was a fun idea as well, buying one just to try it out and see what happened when the time ran out.
Nothing, right? --Well, no. More and more people began falling in love with their apparent 'soul mate', having met them when both their time ran out. Gossips spread around, and people grew obsessed with this strange device. New stories flooded in and out daily of new couples, be it girl with boy, girl with girl, boy with boy, etc. Soon, every person in the town of Okayama had one, proving that this originally fun creation was no joke.
Even after 5 years, it's popularity had not diminished. This item, now dubbed the 'Soul Watch', became Okayama's signature item. The Soul Watch had even started a Academy called " Red String Academy. " This Academy is filled with tons of students and teachers, that had once bought a Soul Watch but, never met their " Soul Mate. " The Academy was made for a way to see if people to find their Soul Mate better.
