the spirit-crushing atmosphere inside the run-down church usually warded off the residents of riestertown, but not the wise 'teenager' standing in it's corridors. swamped with spanish moss and hairline cracks amongst its concrete walls, it was quite literally the home for a being such as herself.
for the past few weeks, ever since the girl with a crushing blue shawl walked into their lives, the citizens have felt nothing but sorrow. deep, harsh mourning that seemed to resonate in their souls. even if little johnny got straight a's, or mommy got a paycheck, there wasn't anything else to feel but pain.
little did they know, the source of it all came from the abandoned church near the outskirts of town. a certain farmer named trev padalis acquired a business card that would change his life. his barn and property were just a mile away from the woods where judy's 'home' was.
it didn't take the superstitious old man much to figure out it had to be the witch who passed through town. he called the number and was expecting a pair of brothers like the card had said, but when he got a knock on the door that saturday afternoon, he opened the door to find three men.
"i'd smile, but it's not letting me." trev tilted his head. knowing they won't stay along for much, he took his straw hat off to be polite and got ready to answer their questions. [/div] [/div] [/div] [/div]
