Name: Olwen Whittacker

Nicknames: Wen or Oh-ey

Age: 24 (At least she appears to be?)

Gender: Female

Ethnicity: Afro-European living in America

Appearance:

6e5394108af5d20705c724123f6678b5.jpg

fc: Ange José

Affiliation: While Olwen is a vampire she doesn't necessarily side with them. Lacking a gift has exposed her to negativity that has skewed her views, and she actually has several human friends.

Gifts: For now, she lacks any gifts. She lives every day with the struggles of a vampire and none of the benefits.
⋆ Moth Mist - Olwen can dissolve her physical presence into a cloud of snow white moths, and reform at will. This is useful for travel, as well as escape.
⋆ Sweet Dreams - She can put someone instantly to sleep by blowing an imaginary white powder from her palms. This is similar to a form of hypnosis.
⋆ Heightened Senses - This is the only gift that she sometimes experiences before her awakening, although it isn't at will and isn't frequent at all.

Strengths: She is a hard worker and resilient. She can also get along with just about anyone, although won't hesitate to speak her mind to even those she considers close. It could possibly be a strength of hers that she is vastly underestimated due to her apparent lack of gifts.

Weaknesses: Olwen tends to have a bit of a temper, especially when it comes to being looked down upon by Justices. She also blindly awards trust to kindness. It has gotten her in trouble before, where she told a human she considered a close friend that she was a vampire and they turned on her. It didn't end well. This was her primary reason for leaving her past life and transitioning to America, which she was disappointed to find in a similarly radical state as what she had left behind.

⋆ Sunlight
⋆ Blood from the dead
⋆ Decapitation
⋆ Iron of any kind (particularly stakes)
⋆ Invitation over thresholds (yes, work is a nightmare)

Background: Her memories begin rather abruptly with her sitting on the back porch of a lakeside cottage at night. She would be blinking up at the moon before hearing what was apparently her name being called. She estimated this to be something like her fifth year of life, although it all passed in such varying speeds she couldn't quite tell anymore. It seemed so long ago that her "days" were like this, when it was just her, her mother, and her father. Although, they weren't her biological parents, and they were already deep into their white and whispy-haired years. Olwen was never curious about where she came from, even when her parents sat her down and told her all about the justices and her powers - well, the lack thereof. She is part of the vampiric population that lacks a gift and when she started growing up and interacting with more of her kind, she realized how they looked at people without anything special about them. From a very young age she favored human companions, because at least she could feel normal around them. However, this posed its own set of problems.

Once her parents passed away she went through a phase where she was desperately lonely and starving. She was only 15, so she stayed with a couple different friends for a while. Got into trouble. Messed around. Lived life as normally as she could. Of course, her active avoidance of sunlight drew some suspicions and eventually she had to confess her reality to someone she thought she could trust. Unfortunately, it didn't go very well.

Long story short, she was chased out of her temporary home and one way or another ended up on a flight to America where, hopefully, she would find better company. What she found was that the Justice movement there was far more intense than her birthplace. She made her wages working as a bartender and early morning diner waitress and tried living as normal a life as possible, but we all know how that would go.

Personality: Elegant, organized, delicate... are not words that could be used to describe Olwen. No, far from it. She is an indecisive, beautiful disaster that comes with bedhead and a billion band-aids.
She lives in spite of her arrogant, gifted counterparts and is severely disenchanted by the idea of Justices being any sort of superior to humans. Her respect and trust have to be earned, although it's available to both species without discrimination. Due to her apparent lack of gifts, she does tend to get along with humans a little more, but life has been tough and she is totally weak to kindness of any kind.

Etc: Olwen was not raised by her biological parents and actually has no clue who they are, not that she cares anymore. An elderly couple took her into their home as a child and cared for her until she ultimately outlived them and was left on her own at the age of 15. This is likely one of the reasons she is so independent and hard working.

Name: Boruth, however his current alias is Richard Bell

Nicknames: The Shadow over Genoa, Horror of Toulouse, The Monster of Glazenberg, Count Wilhelm, Last Son of Carantania and the list goes on. Few know the names mentioned as their existence can only be learned from the tongue of ancients or discovered in equally rare texts from long ago. Some friends have taken to calling him Caretaker in recent decades.

Age: 1341

Gender: Male

Ethnicity: Central European

Appearance:

20200812_170305.jpg

Affiliation: Although he does moderately agree with the Justice and freely offered advice, their ultimate goal is a bit too extreme for his taste. So now he considers himself a neutral party that is merely observing the clash of races.

Gifts:
Immortality

Regenerative capabilities

Create thralls- Through his bite and his will, Boruth is able to enforce control over another being. The process varies but the general rules are that those with stronger wills resist and the longer under his control, the harder it is to break free from it. Thralls gain no inherent powers but there is some sort of connection between servant and master where they share information. Naturally there is a limited amount of connections Boruth is capable of maintaining and other vampires seem to have some natural immunity.

Incorporeal- Purely in the sense that he can move through walls or doors while still bowing to his vampiric weaknesses. It is very rude to phase through doors uninvited after all.

Conversion- He can turn humans into vampires however there is no connection between them.

Strengths: Thirteen centuries of life has gifted him an extraordinary amount of experience, the most invaluable tool at his disposal. From connections to familiarity with weapons and societies it all comes from time. With that comes his mastery over impulse and instead thinks the situation over before acting.

Weaknesses: Boruth's vampiric nature carry a pair of unique shortcomings. The first being his inability to cross bodies of running water such as creeks, rivers or oceans unless he is carried over via bridge or boat. The second being a flaw involving the connections between him and the thralls. More specifically the fact that the information flow works both ways. Another, more common problem is the blessed charms of Christianity. Interestingly the trinkets from other religions have no effect which has led Boruth to suspect his faith in Christ during mortal life plays a role.

As for more personal failings, the old ghoul has a habit of playing around with humans who desire is to exterminate him. He rather enjoys the game and is willing to give the more entertaining individuals multiple chances.

Background: Since abandoning his humanity Boruth’s existence has been abhorrent yet fascinating, worthy of envy yet deserving of enmity. From the shroud of darkness he has watched kingdoms rise and fall like the autumn leaves; seen plagues ravage mankind and witnessed war so plentiful that only the most deserving have a spot reserved in his memories. All the while he sought out others like him and attempted to unravel some of the many mysteries of their race. He would come to find them, and in those dark covens he became well regarded for the manner to which he carried himself as well as the research to which he was so obsessed. And it was for the latter reason that he would travel immeasurable distances, cross over treacherous mountains and unforgiving sea, his cause for performing experiments.

Of course there are times his wanderings are paused, and at this such time he happens to be in America. Not his first visit yet there has been incredible changes since the last. He figures there is enough going on of interest that he may as well stick around.

Personality: Beneath the veneer of cordiality and gentlemanly manners is a cunning creature who carries a remorseless heart that has long lost fear. This by no means should imply Boruth as being an entirely ruthless monster without a shred of decency, though he can't fault humans for thinking so. They could never know how he finds in them a certain charm and carries a deeper, more intimate respect for those brave souls willing to end his reign. Frankly he considers an average human above those unthinking vampires of barbaric nature that have always been too numerous for his liking. Such belief due to those cretins tending to be overconfident children that are better off silenced as to keep the wrath of humanity at bay. Matters he is not unwilling to handle with a cold efficiency.

The more favorable vampires are given a warmer, a tad theatrical, touch from one who makes a gracious host and fine companion, both of which he considers of great importance. He is happy, often eager, to pass onto youngbloods the wisdom and knowledge which has been acquired through age. In those occasions he proves himself a capable storyteller with an impressive memory and a teacher with something like genuine compassion. On the other hand the simplest way to sour his mood is discounting the wisdom of the Old Ones or belittling the strength of mankind. In such moments he will voice his deep displeasure, however he considers himself far too old to lose his composure over the word of fools. That being said he will most definitely seethe in silence and should their ignorance or arrogance cause an early demise, he will most certainly take a dark pleasure in that fact.

It would be a lie to claim that time and the prospect of eternity has never weighed heavy on his soul. In those terribly lonely periods, only a strong will to live and an immense desire to see what the future has in store kept Boruth from tossing himself into the light. That being said, he considers himself rather fortunate to have lived so long.

Etc.: Amongst his possessions are a pair of hidden trunks of antique nature that contain contents held dear to him. Mostly old letters, scrolls and the like with a few acquired treasures mixed in. He also has a fine assortment of lotions, perfumes, candles amongst other pleasant scented things for his own enjoyment. As for means of defense the rarely unprepared vampire carries a fair amount hidden on his person which include: a fine looking cane sword, a harpy knife and a pistol.

Name: Ronin Valpier

Nicknames: Crimson King, The Silent One

Age: 1289

Gender: Male

Ethnicity: Jamacan

Appearance:
2014AE18-8700-44E7-A5AD-32C362975332.jpeg
Affiliation: Fighting for both sides he agrees with the Justice but their methods are to radical for his tastes. Though he sometimes enjoys the radical side due to his anger.

Gifts:
Immortality - He may live forever though he considers this curse
Shape Shifting - This allows him to toy around with his appearance though he often steals others appearances as a Justice
Light - This gives him the ability to walk in the sunlight without harm/
Steal - This allows him to steal someone's appearance along with their powers for short period of time. It's basically an extension of Shape Shifting

Strengths: The Night

Weaknesses: All vampire weaknesses except for sunlight.

Background:

Personality: It depends on Whether he’s with the Justice or fighting against them. He preserves this uncanny ability to change his personality from side to another though it’s not a legit power. When he’s with the Justice he’s Cocky, Arrogant, Quick to anger. He enjoys killing those who deserved it. When he’s fighting against them he’s Calm, Collective, Quite, and Level Headed. It is commonly debated between His friends who know about his Double life whether it’s a split personality or just amazing acting. He tends to even out both and when he’s not doing anything with or against the Justice he’s a fine mix of both. He can get angry easily depending on what you say. He can be social if he wants to be. He is also arrogant when he wins sometimes. He is still trying to find a fine blend between the two personalities.

Dive into the mind of a Justice
(Coming soon)
Etc.: He has duel daggers that can turn into whips. He calls them the Scorpions Tail

Name: ???

Nicknames: The Darkest Night, The Count of the White Castle

Aliases: Jack Lightonn, nicknamed Silver

Face Claim: Jeremy Dufour

Age: 347

Gender: Male

Ethnicity: French (Caucasian). Currently resides in America.

Affiliation: Justice

Gifts:
  • Regenerative Capabilities: Jack can regenerate almost every part of his body within forty seconds except for his heart. If he is decapitated or if any of his weaknesses are deployed, this becomes null.
  • True Form: If he has ingested enough human blood, Jack can change into his true form.
  • Sunlight Tolerance: Jack has a tolerance to sunlight. He cannot be out in direct sunlight for longer than three hours, though.
  • Hypnosis: Jack can perform hypnosis on subjects with weaker wills than his own. Subjects can break from hypnosis if they learn his real name or if they have stronger wills than his own. Those who know his real name cannot be hypnotized. Hypnosis is far less effective on other Justices
  • Conversion: Jack can choose to convert those whose blood he is draining into Justices. He must first tell them his name and then make them drink some of the blood from the vial of his own around his neck. He can then make Justices who are connected to his spirit and possess the same powers as himself (except for conversion), making them his kin.

True Form: Jack's true form is that of a twenty-five foot tall spider. Its legs are made of titanium, and its abdomen is armored with bronze plates. Its fangs can drain blood at a rate three times faster than the rate of his vampiric-form teeth. It can spin webs as thick as five-inch thick woven rope, though the webs dissolve as soon as he switches back to his vampiric form. Its biggest weaknesses are its eyes and the top of its head.

His kin have the same true form, though they are only four feet tall, do not have enhanced blood draining capabilities, and cannot spin webs.

Strengths:
  • Communication/Manipulation: Jack's almost notorious for his silver tongue (hence his alias' nickname). He is a persuasive man who can charm just about anyone without using any kind of power. Useful for closing deals in the kind of business he deals in.
  • Language: He can speak French, Greek, Italian, Spanish, Latin, and English, and he has spoken them long enough to not have a determinable accent when speaking them.
  • Connections: Though he is relatively young for a vampire, Jack has many living connections, especially within his city and within his realm of business.
  • Guns: Jack is a sharp-shooter.

Weaknesses:
  • Sunlight (to a certain extent): After the three hours of tolerance are up, Jack is susceptible to sunlight. However long he spends in sunlight, he must spend in darkness to recuperate and not be vulnerable.
  • Decapitation
  • Blood from the dead
  • Iron stakes
  • Those who know his name (to a certain extent): Those who know his true name are immune to his hypnosis.
  • Invitation
  • Magic

Background: Born to two very poor and very lowly vampires in the mid-1700s France, Jack's early life was very difficult. It was a struggle to feast without being caught, and his parents had very limited abilities. It was here that Jack determined that he would live in the human world and become powerful and feared in it so that he could, in turn, grow powerful and feared in the vampiric community.

He stowed away in a ship and sailed to America when he was only 50. Since then, he's worked hard to up his social standing and establish himself as the leader of the underground crime world.

He is currently the leader of a powerful underground group akin to the mafia that has their feet in the government. Many of the people who work beneath him are his kin, and he even has a few bloodkin (children that he produced with other vampires that he's met).

His goal is to overtake the world in a more subtle way than the other Justices, and he won't let anyone, Justice or not, stand in his way.

Personality: Cold, stubborn, and unfeeling, but in a charismatic way. Brooding, one might say.

Name: Walker Hernández

Face Claim: Yani Gellman

Age: 29

Gender: Male

Ethnicity: Latino-American

Affiliation: Human

Strengths:
  • Assessment: Walker can quickly assess a situation and make choices that will give him the best outcome.
  • Problem-solving skills: Walker is great at solving puzzles and figuring out ways to get out of difficult situations.
  • Planning: Planning four or five steps ahead of the enemy is something that Walker excels at.
  • Brute strength: Walker has a lot of strength in his bare hands due to his strict workout regiment.
  • Accurate aim: Walker has a 98% accuracy when he aims objects.

Weaknesses:
  • He's human: Walker is human. He does not have enhanced regeneration abilities, and he has no vampiric gifts.

Background: Born the son of Mexican immigrants, Walker grew up rather low income. His parents never told him about the Justice incidents, and he only found out what was going on when he came home one day from high school.

The seventeen year old had come home with the exciting news that he had been accepted into his dream college, only to find his father dead and his mother being sucked dry via her neck by a Justice.

The Justice attacked him, but he managed to claw outside into the sunlight. The Justice burned, and from that day on, he trained so that he could avenge his parents and eradicate the Justices. He joined a group of Justice-fighting individuals, organized by his city's mayor, and he's worked hard as their planner ever since.

Personality: Outspoken, determined, hopeful, and generally optimistic, though he plans for the worst. He is serious only when focused, but otherwise, he is a pretty chill dude.

dione roux.
female / 324 / vampire / justice
— PHYSICAL APPEARENCE
Dione has a slim body and stands at 164cm (5'4). Her brown, wavy hair reaches just a bit below her collarbones, with shorter front pieces framing her face. Her complexion is an olive color and her eyes are a chocolatey dark brown, with long eyelashes and thick brows keeping them company.

ethnicity: french / portuguese

face claim: maia cotton

— PERSONALITY
Dione has a compassionate personality, something she has struggled with quite a bit in her years as a Justice. She was born a human after all, and spent the first 19 years of her life as such. How could she not feel anything for her former kind? Thus, becoming part of the Justices was never a clear decision for her.

Dione possesses an intelligent mind and an aura of elegance surrounds her, undoubtably due to decades at court. The same decades at court also taught her to bite her tongue instead of speaking her mind, though this is something she feels more confident doing in today's society. She's a very loyal person but will not give her loyalties to just anyone, this also means she values loyalty in others highly.

— GIFTS
  • heightened speed + agility
  • invisibility; she can go invisible for short periods of time, and then has to regenerate to use her gift again.

— STRENGHTS
stealth ;
Gifted with invisibility, Dione has somewhat mastered the art of stealth and can go by allies and enemies alike without being noticed.

knife play ; As her strength is the same as that of an average human, in combination with her speed and agility, knives make for excellent weapons in close combat. In fact, it is her preferred weapon, and getting up close and personal is her forte.

close combat ; As aforementioned, Dione doesn't mind getting up and personal in combat. She uses a mix of her gifts and knowledge of knives to fight off opponents, going invisible for just a couple of seconds to go in for a flank attack. While not an avid fighter, she has also picked up a few moves from martial arts, in particular those which use the opponents strength or size against them.

WEAKNESSES
weak ;
Dione is physically weak and can probably be overpowered quite easily if caught off guard.

compassionate ; While simultaneously a positive trait, compassion has no place in an organisation of supremacist vampires. It will also cause her to hesitate in delivering a killing blow, despite putting herself at risk once more.

iron ; Like all vampires, iron is very harmful to her

holy water ; Another weakness that comes with being a vampire, though it was a tough one for her to accept as she used to be a devoted christian

— HISTORY
Born fifteen years before the death of Louis XVI, Dione’s parents were part of the Maison du Roi. While the life of a royal servant treated her well, growing up in this environment stifled her quite a bit. She was meant to be quiet and do her job, nothing else. After the execution of Louis XVI, Dione continued working as a servant until a young noble took notice of her. She was asked to leave her humanity behind for him, and she did. They spent a decade together before ultimately parting ways, prompting Dione to find other ways of staying at court.

Eventually, the United States of America piqued Dione's interest and she boarded a transatlantic in the early 1900's to see what the country had to offer. One thing led to another and, while she has spent longer periods of time elsewhere, it seems she came to America to stay.

Before her conversion, Dione was a devoted christian, as was customary for the times. After becoming a vampire she struggled with her faith for a long time. She wasn't going to just give it all up, but many of her beliefs suddenly gained new perspectives and were contradicted. While rarely wearing it, she still has a chain with a cross that she has not been able to part ways with.

Name: Kellian Deluccina

Nicknames: Kel

Age: 22

Gender: Male

Ethnicity: Italian? Irish? He didn't know his mother, so he can't be sure, but he's a mix of something.

Appearance:
1fc58eb0eb6e84f14ef9ece6ab702994.jpg

FC: woah dude i didn't meme it

Affiliation:
Human

Strengths:

▹ He has a heart of gold and never judges a book by its cover
▹ He is pretty oblivious to the current social climate concerning vampires
▹ He has connections to some pretty powerful people
▹ Kel is horrifically charming, in a sweet and goofy and disarming kind of way

Weaknesses:
▹ He is small and weak and definitely couldn't hold his own in a fight
▹ He's quick to be disarmed by a pretty face
▹ Being oblivious is a double-edged sword, and his blissful ignorance could get him into trouble
▹ Kel is human and therefore has no special abilities

Background: Kellian never really knew his mother. She was addicted to some kind of drug and left him alone with his father soon after he was born. Love that. A lot of people in his life came and went over the years, and because of it he was withdrawn and depressed for a lot of his younger years. He got into things like ghosts, cults, conspiracies, aliens, and everything in between. By that point, the existence of vampires had generally been confirmed, and he became a little obsessed with them. After all, this was something he had read books about - fantasy books - but were real. There were some times where he would sneak out of the house at night to try and find one. He knew it was dangerous, but there was a lingering indifference to the thought of dying. He was 17 when something clicked. His father - the only person he had ever been really close with - got sick. Almost died. To pick up slack around the house he dropped out of school and picked up a couple odd jobs. Vampires, ghouls, and his obsession of them gradually faded into the background while he stuffed his time full of literally anything else.

It wasn't until he was coming home late one night from work that his curiosities were reignited, and it was around the same time he started working at Palmetti's, where the owner was his godfather - not in a mafia way... well, kind of in a mafia way. Anyway, this back story is a disaster. When he was walking home he noticed the moon shining brightly above the rooftops and paused for a second in it's light. His eyes widened when the figure of a person appeared on a rooftop, perfectly cast in shadow with the massive blue orb behind them. He watched in awe as this creature, who appeared human, seemed to leap inhumanly far and then disappear again into the shadows. He rushed home and pulled out the dusty books from his closet, and spent the whole night reading about the elusive creatures and becoming even more obsessed with them than before. They were real.

So how did we get to where he is now? Well, within a few years of the onset of his father's illness, he passed away. By this point though, Kel was 19 and able to live on his own. Palmetti became a very close guardian to him and he's worked at the pub ever since. It wasn't an ideal situation for the long-term, but he still sometimes struggled to think about his life in that way. Either way, he completely embraced living in the moment and loving hard for short term, since that's just how relationships seemed to go in his life. He met Olwen through work and they became fast friends - not a title he could award to pretty much anyone. But they accepted each other and didn't dig in too much to each others' business or history. She was an interesting character though, and he wondered if there was something she was hiding from him.

Personality: A bean, through and through, to put it simply. Kel is a little dumb and a lot cute, and somehow manages to use both of those things to his advantage. He is excitable, honest, and curious, especially when it comes to the occult. Demons, ghosts, vampires, goblins, you name it. If it's spooky, he's read at least one book on it. However, this has led to an interesting outlook on the whole genocide-by-justice situation. He wouldn't know how to act if he was faced with a real life vampire besides completely fawn over them. Part of him would be terrified while another part of him would be totally into it. Honestly, he would probably try to bite a vampire. Let's just hope he never has the option to become one.

Etc: "Ooh are those fangs real? They look so real! Neat... can I touch them? Hey, do you want to eat me?"

Name: Mason Lorenzo

Nicknames: Ace

Age: 22

Gender: Male

Ethnicity: Afro Japanese

Appearance:
B046D812-999F-433B-830F-7058CF443C52.jpeg
Affiliation: Human

Strengths:
~ Always finds away to make people happy
~ Always looks for the good in every situation
~ Try’s to talk everything out before getting physical

Weaknesses:
~ Naive with toxic people
~ Comes off as care free (Bad in certain situations)
~ Too trusting of people (Oh boy is that going to change)

Background:
Mason grew up in a peaceful family. That was until his father got framed for murder. This resulted in his father going to jail and his mother becoming to depressed to even take care of them. Mason ended up getting separated from his sisters in the foster care system his sisters foster parents not wanting to take him but just the girls. He eventually got adopted into a fairly nice family. It was at least better than what he originally had. Despite what he went through he tried to be nice to everyone and tried to make friends in school. That hope didn’t die out as he advanced in school. He was pushed to excellence which made him focus on his school more in his beginning stages of school. Around. 5th grade his father got out of jail. He had some how tracked down his sisters and now him. He wanted his family back. He had to go to court to fight for custody. After around a year of fighting in court he was finally granted custody and his family was reunited. His foster parents became more of an Aunt and Uncle to him because they came around on holidays and visited regularly to see how they were doing. The whole experience made Mason happy because though he didn’t tell anyone his optimism was it doing so well. He had always been a happy kid but when his father got framed Mason was out in a bad spot mentally. After all that his optimism returned. He ended up meeting a friend. Ronin was his name. He has how Mason would frame it “Mood swings” Happy now and in the next second he could be angry. He always found this interesting but never thought to ask. He was an interesting guy and Mason stuck with him not only because they were friends but also because Ronin tended to protect Mason a lot. He did wonder sometimes if Ronin was hiding something. He would always disappear for almos weeks at a time and come back like nothing happened. He would have to look into that.

Personality:
He’s very optimistic. (You already know that) He loves to relax and enjoy himself with friends. Most people decide he’s going to be mean when they hear about him and his whole life story. They are in for a rude kind awakening. He enjoys coffee shops for some reason. He started taking pictures of himself drinking coffee with his favorite glasses on and it kinda blew up. He made it into sort of a side gig to make a little extra cash. He has learned though that not everyone is nice so he knows not only from experience but also being in the Foster system how to put on a persona. He actually thinks thats part of the reason he’s friends with Ronin.

Etc.: “These glasses aren’t prescription but just because they are fake doesn’t mean I am.”

  • No debts owed - If someone helps her out of the goodness of their own heart she will repay that favor because she hates owing anyone.
  • Sterile - she is the last of her kind and lacks the typical vampire venom that turns humans

Background: Katerina has grown up relatively unloved. She has no memories of childhood and only remembers passing through several contracts. Each time her contractor has died she's moved on without remorse. Her motto is "No looking back." She began forming contracts at a very early age, which began a pattern of neediness. She relies heavily on her contractor for a sense of self worth, even if they are just using her as a weapon. Her first few contractors were relatively unknown and powerless until they bound her to their will. Eventually, stories of a powerful weapon in the form of a woman began circulating, until it reached the ears of a certain someone in the underground.

Because she has grown up without a sense of belonging or warmth, she is incredibly vulnerable to anyone who shows her the least bit of kindness. This has been used to manipulate her and since then she has turned mistrustful and cynical in her worldview. Katerina longs for a life beyond her contracts, but hates the weakness that comes from being alone. So the cycle continues...

Personality: Callous, calculating, manipulative and cold-blooded. Can be very emotions driven and may go into fury-driven rages on occasion.

Etc.: She wields a huge scythe made of shadows.

frank

male // 24 // british
what's wrong with a little chaos ?
physical appearence ;
Frank is a tall and slender man, standing at 6'1. While he does not have a very muscular physique, he frequently swims, which has granted him a toned body. His hair is a messy mop of blonde hair which he often runs his hands through.

His tired eyes are a deep blue color with straight brows hovering above them. Freckles spread out across his pale complexion ; from his defined cheekbones to his straight nose. Frank has a 3 inch scar running diagonally from the right lower side of his ribs stretching towards his lower abdomen. Ask him about it and he'll tell you a new spicy story each time.

face claim: hugh laughton scott

personality ;
Chaos, that's the best word to describe Frank. He's extroverted and always up to something, and they're not always legal things. He likes quick rushes and will literally die of boredom if he has to sit at home an entire Saturday, unless he has something to keep him entertained.

He is known to play devil's advocate, liking the rush of provoking others. In his mind, he does it to tease and get a reaction as opposed to actually wanting to upset someone, though a lot of the time he'll be faced by the latter.

While he definitely has his charm, it is easy to find him too argumentative and or insensitive. Frank rarely cares for rules or feelings, though he finds it very satisfying to be challenged intellectually, as he has a sharp mind. He's a quick thinker and rarely misses an opportunity to make a joke or throw a sarcastic comment. Once there's a deeper connection, most people come to understand that he uses humor as a coping mechanism for whatever demons he has in his head.

history ;
Frank was born and raised in the suburbs of London, UK. The first years in life were kind to him, his parents had a good relationship and loved him and each other very much. It wasn't until Frank got into Elementary school that his mother fell into an addiction to alcohol. That's when his life started its slow descent into not so good.

His mother was abusive, not only to him but also to his father, who eventually packed his things and left. Frank started spending as much time out of home as possible, picking up swimming. He enjoyed it for a while, but then it started getting too competitive for his liking. He started going out at night as well, soon mixing with people who had a bad influence on him. Despite his mother's addiction, Frank never hesitated to try when different substances were offered to him, oftentimes feeling like an escape from an otherwise miserable life.

When he reached nineteen years of life, he decided to move to the States and eventually somehow ended up a Devoted. Frank isn't a necessarily just person, but the job offers him a thrill a regular nine to five cannot.

Name: Albert Breckenridge

Nicknames: Brecky

Age: 304

Gender: Demiguy he/him they/them

Ethnicity: Nigerian - Canadian

Appearance:
Brecky is slender, but not frail. He appears to be quite young, around 24. His skin is almost as dark as the night sky, and is incredibly smooth to the touch. His eyes are normally a bright red, and simply jokes about them being contacts (a partial truth). His hair shaved on the sides, straightened, and slicked back. He stands at 190 cm and takes care to not slouch either. He wears red eyeliner and lipstick to match.

Affiliation: Justice

Gifts:
- Conversion: Can create more, although far weaker, vampires if they drink his blood. In fact, these vampires receive no gifts except shapeshifting
- Immortality: As far as he knows, he has yet to die of old age
- Sunlight adaptability: The sun does not damage him, but his eyes are not adapted to it at all and has to wear some sort of corrective lens
- Suggestion: A weaker form of hypnosis, through words he can make people do or think things, but it must be subtle or decently convincing
- Wall walker: He can walk on any surface, it matters not if he walks up a wall, or does a handstand, gravity with surfaces just seems to no work

Strengths:
- Breckenridge is great at doing things on the fly
- He is a survivalist and will do anything, even running away, to stay alive
- Can make friends -and enemies- easily
- Chooses his words carefully and can lie his way into and out of situations

Weaknesses:
- Cannot enter into houses without being invited
- Being drained of their blood
- Iron stakes
- Magic
- No shame, especially for survival, will rat others out
- Almost impossible for him to tell a whole truth
- Can’t stick to a script/plan

Background:
Breckenridge’s parents were killed before he could even learn to walk. They were a travelling group of vampires called ‘The Claws’ who had scoured all of Europe and Africa. The Claws, by some unknown grace, maybe pity, took the child in. By the time he was 6 years old, the group of vampires had moved to North America to escape persecution in the Old World. They hid out in Canada for 290 years until they caught wind of Justice and joined.

Personality: Brecky is great either being completely unnoticed, or the centre of attention, and is hard to understand. As a practically unknown vampire with an eccentric personality, no one knows what he wants and what he will do next. Everything is like an elaborate play for him. Most of his emotions are fakes, except curiosity. He was quite sheltered for most of his life, forced to hide and read books. He is extraordinary pop culture savvy due to this. He had never been outside much before joining Justice.

Etc.:
- Great with daggers and piano wires as his weapons of choice

Name: Chen Mei-ying

Nicknames: Boruth calls her a silly/troublesome jellyfish

Age: 68

Gender: Female

Ethnicity: Chinese

Appearance: A slim 5’1 frame with a number of faded scars of old, none are particularly eye catching and are usually hidden beneath her clothing.

20200927_121822.jpg

Affiliation: Justice but will ultimately do what is best for herself

Gifts:
*Heightened senses
*Heightened speed
*Mist- Can produce and become part of a dense fog that forms in an approximate fifty foot radius
*Immortal

Strengths: Mei’s heart is stonier than many and she keeps her emotions in check while her mind stays clear of troublesome thoughts. When that isn’t enough Mei happens to be fairly handy with a rifle.

Weaknesses: She’s five foot nothing and weighs one-fifteen soaking wet. Not exactly the best for fist fights. Actually she isn’t too great with fighting in general, if the fight doesn’t involve her popping people three hundred yards away in relative safety she isn’t interested.

Background: Having been born shortly after the first vampiric onslaught had devastated the world; Mei knew well, and inevitably became hardened to the cruelty of life. Her indomitable will would power her through struggles that many failed to overcome, yet survival did not come without sacrifice and the young girl paid her share. Then came the fateful night that she called out to the darkness and her invitation was not answered by buyer, pimp or victim, but by the vampire of Carantania. He granted her a release from her mortal coil and truly introduced her to the night.

For a time she and Boruth roamed together. A strange relationship predominately like a simple, respectable friendship between a master and protégée while often wanting to teeter into a more familial bond. But for one reason or another it never progressed fully, despite that Mei was comfortable. Until the day she was left with the European Order without warning that is. Apparently Boruth thought it better she remained there and dipped her toes into the filthy world of politics. Grasp the full scale of what is to come or something like that. Not alone of course, but she was still unceremoniously ditched with only sporadic letters in the following few years. The position, she had been told, was a favor of sorts, yet it was one apparently being returned. It would seem she wasn’t the only one who found her progenitor’s recent activity strange.

Personality: A quiet, intelligent woman with sharp eyes and a practical mind. As capable at an elegant dinner party as she is at disemboweling someone should the need arise. Still, beneath her sturdy walls there remains compassion for the downtrodden although that doesn’t necessarily mean she will give a helping hand.

Etc: She likes cute things but only in secret and catching her in the act is perhaps the best way to fluster her.

    celeste.

Celeste grew up without her father, and her mother had always exclaimed that he was too weak of a man to care for a child anyway, so she considered herself to not even have a dad. She loved her mother to bits, who was a mysterious, beautiful, earth shattering woman. Growing up in an expensive house in an expensive neighbourhood, Celeste had everything her heart desired. Except, there was one weird thing. She wasn’t really allowed to go outside much. They had an amazing garden and her school teachers all came to her house, so she didn’t really feel the need to go outside while she was young. She did wonder what it would be like to go to school and have friends to hang out with, but her mother reasoned that they were lucky she was rich enough to be able to afford homeschooling and Celeste shouldn’t complain.

Her mother’s riches were acquired through a somewhat secret brothel in a seperate part of the house. Her mother had clients every day and Celeste learned about what two people who love each other do when they are alone at a very young age. She admired her mother’s work, because who wouldn’t want to spend a night with her beautiful mother? She loved how body positive and comfortable her mother was around herself and men.

Celeste was a very smart child, going through her schoolwork without any struggle and reasonably faster than the average person. She spent most of her free time on her enormous bed, reading books from the gigantic library in her own quarters. When she got older, she used money and technology to her advantage, becoming a very talented hacker.

Her life had pretty much been perfect for 19 years. Even though she didn’t have a father figure, she was happy. Things changed pretty quickly for her when her mother met a certain new client. He was mysterious and seemed to carry a very heavy air around him. His eyes seemed to hold secrets no one could even begin to understand and the way he spied around the house was nothing less than suspicious. He was one of the Devoted, having come to their house to kill her mother for possibly being a vampire. Before she died, this is what her mother told her, at least. She also had forgotten to mention for 19 years that Celeste was also part vampire, for her father had been a human.

After losing her mother, Celeste fled the scene of her childhood home to stray the streets with only a little bit of money her mom had left on her credit card. She was set on finding out what this vampire business was about, and what better place to start than finding a vampire in the blood?

After losing her mother, Celeste fled the scene of her childhood home to stray the streets with only a little bit of money her mom had left on her credit card. She was set on finding out what this vampire business was about, and what better place to start than finding a vampire in the blood?

Appearance

Celeste has a very happy-go-lucky personality and her appearance matches that. Her face is filled with freckles and her cheeks seem to always be a little red, as if smiling so much has permanently made them sore. Her skin is pale, probably linked to her vampire descent and she had always been sensitive to the sun anyway. She’s quite short, making her appear non-threatening to almost anyone. She has short-ish, dirty blonde hair with the tips dyed very light blonde from a previous rebellious phase. Celeste prefers comfortable clothing and doesn’t care much about make-up, if she does wear it she keeps it on for way too long because she can’t be bothered to clean her face.

Personality

Celeste can be quite overwhelming when you first meet her. She asks a lot of questions and has a lot of energy. Because of her ditzy, aloof personality, she is often assumed to be a little unintelligent, but nothing could be farther from the truth. A creative, well-studied young woman, Celeste loves learning about new things and adores expressing her feelings through art.
Behind her cheerful facade is a cunning, observant person who wants to know what happened to her mother more than anything and will go to great lengths to get her way. Not short on cuteness, she can be seen as harmless, but when she gets her hand on a computer she will be one of the biggest enemies you will ever have.

Character sheet

Name: Celeste Davore

Nicknames: C

Age: 19

Gender: female

Ethnicity: caucasian

Affiliation: none

Gifts:
Because she just found out she is half-vampire, Celeste does have powers but she has not discovered how to use most of them to their maximum extent.

Mastermind: Even since she was born, Celeste has been smarter than most people. She can understand and apply a lot of knowledge almost instantly, is good with languages and is especially talented with technology.

Heightened senses: Always having thought that she was just a super sensitive person, Celeste didn’t pay much mind to this ability. She could hear slightly better than a normal person could and her eyes were very good, helping her with noticing the smallest of details especially during her work. For now, she is not aware that these abilities can be developed further.

Telepathy: An undiscovered talent so far, Celeste will be able to converse with someone without talking (in their mind) in the future.

Telekinesis: Celeste can slightly manipulate her surroundings without physically touching them. Only slightly developed.

Strengths:
  • Intelligent
  • Resourceful
  • Happiness
  • Disarmingly charming

Weaknesses:
  • Kind of lives in a fantasy world of her own
  • Not very serious
  • Has some developmental problems
  • Is generally not very strong or athletic
  • Vampire stuff that’s applied everywhere
