Birdsie
The God-Emperor of Mankind
BASIC INFORMATIONName: AlcidesAliases: N/AAge: 12Gender: MaleRace: Demigod Class: MagePERSONALSexuality: He's... uh... a kid, still chemically developin' and stuff. I'd say straight either way.High Concept: Adorable + Dorky = Adorkable. A demigod child with a thing for being too cute and asking people for stuff.Character Alignment: Neutral GoodRelatives:
- Arcueid - Mother, Goddess. - Minor Goddess
- Amo Godwyn - Father, Human. - Merchant (deceased)
Organizations\Affiliations: N/APersonality: Alcides is, like with most kids, extremely energetic and excited about everything. Coming from a desert land, he does not see anything wrong with wearing less clothes than the people of cold regions. He is extremely nice to and respectful of strangers, often trying to find someone to look up to. Anyone he sees as a figure worthy of following shall be referred to as "Big brother," or "Big sister." Therfore if he calls you that, you know you have earned his respect, love and trust.
Alcides is more or less unable to fight, both due to lack of skill and being perplexed at the thought of hurting someone else, even if that person is evil. This leaves him completely vulnerable and unable to protect himself in nearly all situations, unless someone with experience backs him up. Has a tendency to get in trouble and explore, looking for adventure. This type of behaviour may, or may not be a result of bad parenting.Backstory: When the Goddess Arcueid stooped down on the Earth and became physical, she started soaring through the land with her angelic bodyguards. She was enamoured by the appearance of one of the mesopotamian merchants she saw and had a child with him, in the span of several nights spent together before she had to return to her domain. Thus, she gave birth to Alcides, who was born in her heavenly domain. However, there were those who wanted the child dead. Dark demons. Fallen angels who saw the child as an abomination and wanted to destroy it, no matter how much divinity ran through it's blood - they vowed to spill it.
However, Arcueid's protection was enough to save the child from the curses of the demons and death--yet they tried a different approach. Red, barbed chains grew around Arcueid and took the child from her, like abhorrent serpents. And then they soared through the sky and clouds and took it to the Earth in the form of a meteor. Angels hurried afterwards, but were met with heavy resistance. Then, once the child fell once again in the land of Mesopotamia, the fallen angels surrounded it and prepared to sacrifice it's blood to the dark gods. However, despite being days old, the child protected itself with divine magic of great magnitude. The Goddess and her servants were relieved, however Alcides could never return anymore as he had already penetrated the barriers of the mortal realm. His mother decided it would be better that way than to send her angels for him, as it was proper for a mortal to grow amongst mortals, even if he was her son.
Alcides was taken by a pair of surrogate parents, simple peasants from one of the villages. He grew quickly and learned even quicker, knowing how to read and write despite not being taught to - and capable of limited flight and healing at will - among many other miracles. The fruits of his divinity showed, as the villagers thought he was the chosen one. He was sent to a temple in Mesopotamia at the age of 6, for the villagers thought he was truly an angel from heavens. But Alcides took a different path and found his human father, Amo Godwyn. Reunited with his father, he was told stories about his mother and many other things. Yet fate frowned upon Alcides once again and took his father away from him. Fallen angels once again attacked the young boy, but rather than him - they picked his fhater as a target and cursed him badly, with a curse that not even Alcides could cure. Amo Godwyn passed away that night. Alcides was shook and wandered the land for many days, in search of adventure and home. One should know that once his family is taken away from him, there is never a place to call home again.PHYSICALWeapons & Armor: None.Items & Personal Belongings:
- Lucky Charms: Alcides has several necklaces and bracelets that were worn by his father. They look very fashionable and worthy of a noble, however their true purpose is a memento of his parent and as charms that bring him quality of good luck.
Skills & Abilities:
- Reading & Writing: Alcides had this ability seemingly encoded into his brain. He can read, or even write books with ease.
- Bartering: For what little time Alcides was with his father, he seems to have picked up on his merchant skills and learned a little about pricing. He can get most stuff for cheaper, or sell it for more.
- Charisma: Alcides is a child. You just wouldn't hurt a child, would you? Not to mention the adorkableness. He can negotiate with people naturally.
Spells & Magic:
- Miracles: Alcides has divinity rooted within him, resulting in the ability to cast miracles and divine magic, much like Priests and Paladins - however of greater magnitude and without praying, as he can simply take such power from himself.
Healing: Alcides is capable of healing medium injuries and diseases, as he was a healer at young age in his village. He is still unable to heal greater afflictions and remove curses.
- Flight: Alcides is capable of levitation and flight when focused, however this is highly limited and the power is still developing.
- Divine Presence: Alcides' very presence is that of a divine. Religious people and great believers will feel more respect towards him, at the same time feeling serenity - whilst deamons will be inspired with fear and visions of hell.
- Angel's Call: Alcides summons an angelic warrior. This spell is still on a very myriad level, being able to summon only a mere angelic footsoldier. The summoning is also defective, as the angel appears to be unable to talk, fly, or cast magic.
- More To Come: Alcides' divinity is developing, similarly to his hormones and body. Due to him reaching the point of puberty, his powers are slowly developing and more are yet to appear and develop.
[*]Prayer Empowerment: Praying to Alcides gives him strength, mana and heals him - both mentally and physically. It empowers him in general.
Weaknesses:
- Half-baked Magic: Alcides, for being classified as mage has little to no control over his magic. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it works not the way he wants it, or when he doesn't want it in the first place. Sometimes it exhausts all of his mana, sometimes it doesn't cost him the slightest bit. Alcides is a soul of great power, however he is still volatile and in development. Things can go sideways in the most colossal way when he casts a spell.
- No Means of Protection: Alcides has no offensive powers or skills. Against a group of bandits, he's as good as a kid who has 50-50 chances of healing or flying.
- Hunted: Alcides is constantly hunted by Fallen Angels who are waiting for a moment of him being most vulnerable and easy to kill. Even though he has no means of protection, his very presence is harmful to demons so they need to wait for him to be completely exhausted of any form of energy.
FLUFF (Optional)Hobbies:
- Drawing Maps: They can be sold. And sold means money. And money means survival. You catchin' up?
- Selling Stuff: He often visits dungeons that were previously pillaged by adventurers and takes whatever things they missed or left behind, taking it back to the market and searching for some stupid merchant to sell it to.
- Trying to get into pubs: Doesn't end too well. Definitely not worthy of having a taste of that sweet, sweet ale.
- Praying: He refers to it as "Just calling mom." Whether he can actually converse with her directly is still unknown.
Quote\s:
- "Let's get along, big brother!"
- "I need an adult!"
- "'Sup."
