That’s sorta middle ground for me, to be honest. Though I am considering a third. Dunno who it’ll be yet.
Well. Kung lao could use some buddies. And the OC Universe i made for my superman puts a younger justice league into the fray. Most of the heroes from his world are rookies in their early twenties. Then again i am sure you have yoir own fandoms in mind.

Never played Mortal Kombat, and no thank you. Thanks for offering though.

Roger that. Either way i look forward to seeing what you put out. Once i put my kid down for a nap ill gat a post with Herc up and if your in the area we can have our characters interact :)

I was confused for a minute, but then I remembered how much older everyone on the site tends to be than me. Kinda surreal looking at my age when it feels like I’ve been alive forever.

Sapphire
⚬Over 5750 years old⚬ Sexless, but is referred to by him/her and has a feminine voice and physical form⚬ Steven Universe⚬ Homosexual (?)⚬Gem⚬

⚬Bio⚬

"Over 5,750 years ago, Sapphire lived on Homeworld, being an aristocratic Gem who formed part of Blue Diamond's court. She was part of the diplomatic team sent to stop Rose Quartz's Rebellion on Earth, along with 3 Rubies assigned to guard her. Sapphire saw a future where the rebels, Rose Quartz and Pearl, were indeed caught and stopped, but seven Gems, including herself, were going to be poofed in the process. Just as she finished reporting her premonition to Blue Diamond, the rebels attack as Sapphire predicted, and destroy the physical forms of six Gems, including two of her Ruby guards.

Before Sapphire was struck down, her remaining Ruby jumped forward and pushed her out of the way of Pearl's sword. They accidentally fused and formed Garnet for the first time. This first-ever fusion of two different Gems caused an uproar among the other Gems, during which Rose and Pearl escaped. However, Blue Diamond wasn't pleased and declared that Ruby shall be shattered for fusing with a member of her court and changing Sapphire's prophecy. However, Sapphire grabbed Ruby by the hand and ran off the edge of the Cloud Arena, floating down to Earth below. Sapphire was "frozen" because her future vision was wrong for the first time due to Ruby's impulsive nature.

They found shelter in a cave, where Sapphire revealed her eye to Ruby and the two talked about their feelings when they were Garnet.
Ruby and Sapphire grew closer and eventually decided to fuse again. Garnet was found by Pearl and Rose shortly after forming. Upon being met with acceptance and not revulsion, she began to bombard Rose with questions about the events and circumstances that allowed her to become Garnet, as well as her own feelings about existing as a fusion. Rose told her to "never question this," and said that she was already the answer to all her questions—love. This would be the beginning of Sapphire's existence as part of Garnet for the next thousand years, fighting Homeworld with the Crystal Gems to protect Earth. At some point, she and Ruby chose to fuse permanently. "

⚬Personality⚬
Compassionate, level-headed, serene, and patient, Sapphire is the balance to Ruby's personality when fused as Garnet. She is quick-thinking, but can come off as distant from the present emotionally and conflict-wise, and has a bit of a blase attitude towards the present. Sapphire, however, is more outgoing when with Ruby, and quite flirtatious and amorous towards her. She is capable of violent determination when the instance arises. Stress is Sapphire's downfall, however, and she is seemingly incapable of controlling her powers, and she literally and metaphorically freezes up. She can either be more open or more closed off in this state depending on circumstance. While frozen up she is not above listening and reason, however, and afterward is very capable of apologeticness and desolation.

⚬Powers/Abilities⚬

  • Has semi-immortality, rendering her unable to age and die from any human disease.
  • Has enhanced endurance, allowing for her to take more hits than a human person.
  • Has incredibly enhanced speed that allows for her to travel great distances in short periods of time
  • Can see into the future to an extent, and may be able to see multiple futures.
  • Sapphire can hover in the air at will.
  • Sapphire can entrap an object, most often a gem in a bubble. Active objects within it can break it, and some things are simply too big to bubble. Gems trapped inside a bubble cannot regenerate, and with a simple tap she can teleport the bubble to where she considers "home".
  • Can shift her physical form to appear like a blue-colored version of something else. This includes animals, plants, and other gems. Trying to shift too far out of her original form can cause things to get a little unstable, however.
  • When Sapphire's physical form sustains enough damage, she can "poof" and regenerate into a new, undamaged form.
  • Sapphire possesses a form of cryokinesis, though it appears to be more emotionally based than something she can do at will. This takes the form of ice, snow, and freezing.
  • Can fuse with other gems and half-gems. The most notable of these fusions is Garnet.
  • Can automatically adjust to different gravities.

    ⚬Weaknesses⚬
    • Can be "shattered"/killed if her gem is entirely broken.
    • If her gem is cracked, she will be unable to uphold her physical form in a prime condition
    • If her gem is bubbled or otherwise contained, she will be unable to reform.
    • If she becomes corrupted, she will be unable to reform as anything but a monstrous version of herself.

      ⚬Other⚬

Wears a wedding ring on her hand, crafted by Bismuth. A symbol of her and Ruby's marriage.

Ruby (Steven Universe) (Gem)

Gender
Sexless, but is referred to by him/her and has a feminine voice and physical form.

Sexual Orientation
Homosexual..?

Bio
"Approximately 5,750 years ago, Ruby lived on Homeworld as a common foot soldier.

Homeworld was attempting to create a new colony on Earth, which was overseen by Blue Diamond. She was part of the diplomatic team sent to stop Rose's Rebellion on Earth, as one of the three Rubies assigned to guard Sapphire, an aristocratic Gem with prophetic vision, adamant for destroying the uprising in its crib. When the rebels attacked, the three Rubies fought back, attempting to fulfill their jobs, only for two of them to be poofed by Rose Quartz and Pearl before turning to Sapphire.

Before her imminent poofing, Sapphire thanked Ruby for her service, at which point Ruby realized Sapphire had already predicted this and that she knew her physical form would be destroyed. Unable to accept that she had failed in her mission of protecting her, Ruby tackled Sapphire to defend her from Pearl and caused them to accidentally form Garnet, changing the prophecy foretold by Sapphire. They immediately de-fused and were surrounded by an angry crowd. Furious that Ruby interfered with the outcome of the battle (and participating in an unsanctioned fusion with a member of her court), Blue Diamond ordered that she be shattered. However, Sapphire grabbed Ruby and jumped out of the Cloud Arena towards the Earth below, landing them softly with her levitation.

Ruby was distraught that she was unable to protect Sapphire. When it began to rain, she carried Sapphire to a cave for shelter, where she saw Sapphire's single eye for the first time. The two talked about their experience and feelings being fused as Garnet.

Rose told her to "never question this", and said that she was already the answer to all her questions—love. This would be the beginning of Ruby's existence as part of Garnet for the next few millennia, fighting the Gem Homeworld with the Crystal Gems to protect Earth."
-Steven Universe Wiki

Personality
Ruby is an extremely emotional and passionate Gem who embodies Garnet's strength and courage. Often times, she is hot-headed and short-tempered, usually resorting to violence whenever she is absolutely infuriated. Yet, despite all the anger that may come from her, she is still willing to admit her wrongs, particularly when she takes her anger too far and when she is wrong to do whatever she may do. Not only that, but Ruby's expressions are clear whenever you look at her, even fused as Garnet. Whenever she learns a horrible secret about the Gems and their society, she will not take it well, especially since she places much value in trust.

Skills
Ruby at least knows basic punching technique when it comes to using her Gauntlet weapon, although the full extent of her fighting capabilities are not shown unless when she fights as Garnet with Sapphire due to having done most of her fighting as the aforementioned fusion. Although it is not showcased in other fields, Ruby is shown to learn to play the guitar within just 10 minutes, at least under Greg.

Powers/Abilities
Standard Gem Abilities

Ruby has every standard ability a Gem has. Therefore, she:
  • Has an overall enhanced strength, speed, and durability than normal humans.
  • Is semi-immortal, meaning she does not age, nor contract disease.
  • Can enclose individual objects, and people, in bubbles that she can:
    • Teleport to wherever she calls "home" with a tap at the top.
    • Put whoever in stasis if she happens to store a Gem, in any of their states, in said bubble.
    • Let exist if undisturbed, as her bubbles are independent of her.
  • Can "poof" herself to regenerate into a new, undamaged form.
  • Can automatically adjust to different gravities.
  • Can summon a weapon of her choice.
  • Can fuse with half-humans and Gems alike.
In particular, Ruby has unique abilities of her own, such as:

Thermokinesis
Ruby is able to increase her own, and other objects', temperature, generating heat. In particular, she can light anything she touches on fire at will, while mentally stable. Finally, she is resistant to all other heat, contributing to Garnet's ability to walk in lava.

Weaknesses
Unfortunately for Ruby, while she may be genuinely strong, she is not literally invincible. In particular, Ruby's gem can be:
  • Shattered (Ruby dies.)
  • Cracked (Ruby will no longer be able to access her prime form and can only access inferior versions.)
  • Bubbled/Similarly contained (Ruby cannot reform.)
  • Corrupted (Ruby becomes an incomprehensible beast.)

"All I really love is game"
Han Jihan -Human Male: From The Gamer

Bio:
Before he gained the ability known as "The Gamer" he was a boring high schools student. Jee-Han had no motivation or dreams to accomplish anything except play his games all day. Like many teenagers at his age, he had no idea what he wanted to do with his life and sought for a way to become an important person in society. After being thrust into the dangers of the Abyss however, Jee-Han’s daily life has taken a complete turn and he has changed considerably.

Personality:
Jee-Han has a simplisticoutlook on life and as such, he possesses an easy going and carefree attitude. There was nothing in Jee-Han’s life he really enjoyed doing other than playing video games and in accordance with that passion, he was granted the natural ability known as “The Gamer”.

Because of his obsessions with video games, Jee-Han can usually relate most things he learns about the Abyss and the Gaia Theory back to video games which make it simpler for him.
Skills (Things that a normal human could train to become proficient in):

Powers/Abilities:
To put it mostly simply he is an MMO character in a real world. A classless MMO that lets you create your own skills with experience, but an typical charchter other wise. He has stats that determine how well he interacts with the world. Stats can be rasied by training, or by leveling up, (because he receives EXP because he is an MMO character) He does not receive injuries, and instead has his health lowered.

What this means is that his power is in truth growth. He can learn and develop exponentially based on what he is exposed to, quite interesting for this type of game.

Gamer's Mind Passive MAX Allows the user to calmly and logically think things through. Allows peaceful state of mind. Immunity to psychological mass effect.

Gamer's Body Passive MAX Grants a body that allows for the user to live the real world like a game. Sleeping in a bed restores HP, MP and all mass effects.

Weaknesses:
Sustained combat, unlike people his health and mana are actual numbers, no matter how strong he grows he can simply be worn down.

The Gamer - Ep. 1

It is a webcomic, about a young nerd who becomes an actual MMO character in a world with hidden magical battles and such going on.

It's pretty good at first but has escalation issues. (A character that already could grow exponentially is just randomly given entirely new aspects of his power, an RTS mode for instance, which lets him grow even more exponentially.)

I plan to take it a different route than pure mage, but due keep the gist of the mechanics (losing some of the dumb exponential random growth)

That sounds really cool. Hopefully you will be able to join the roleplay, you and your character both seem neat.

Probably a mistake but I needed to lay out my options.

Name
Naoto Kurogane

Universe From
BlazBlue

Gender
Male

Sexual Orientation
Heterosexual probably

Species
Human-Vampire hybrid

Bio
Naoto just wanted to live his life as a normal student, but from his birth, he was never allowed that. Born as the heir to the Terumi family, Naoto was gifted with the "Eye of the Hunter" as proof of his heritage, which allows him to read the remaining life-force of any given person. However, when Naoto was very young, his sister Saya murdered the entire family, leaving him the sole survivor before she disappeared.

At age 16, his life was changed forever when he suffered a near-death experience at the hands of a strange monster, his right arm being severed from his body. In exchange for his eternal servitude, Naoto was revived by Raquel Alucard, a mysterious vampire looking for the Azure. His arm was replaced with a new one made from Raquel's blood, and as promised, he helped her look for the Azure.

Personality
Naoto is a caring individual who seemingly rushes into situations without thinking much about the consequences. Despite initially being thought of as rather cowardly, he later reveals himself to be extremely courageous when the odds are stacked against him.

Naoto is also shown to not be fond of tightly packed places or just people in general, lending reason as to why he avoids getting on the bus to school and instead walks the 30 minute distance.

Skills
Skilled in hand to hand brawling; parts of his fighting style resembles boxing in some parts, but with more free-form technique as well, especially when combined with his own supernatural powers.

Powers / Abilities
With the power of his Drive (materialization of his soul's power), Bloodedge, Naoto's most striking ability is his power to manipulate his own blood; he mostly uses it to form weapons (mostly blades) which are said to be as tough as iron at the very least. To some degree, he can also use this power to even his normal physical attacks more potent as well. Extended use of Bloodedge can also turn his hair white.

Also, possibly due to his status as a vampire hybrid, he has superhuman stats across the board, allowing him to stand toe to toe with some of the heavier hitters in BlazBlue between Ragna and Rachel.

Naoto also possesses a degree of regeneration, potent enough to allow him to heal from even organ damage and lost limbs, though the exact limits of his healing factor is unknown.

Lastly, with the Eye of the Hunter, he can read the life-force value of other people; in other words, how much life they have residing in them. However, even Naoto can sometimes have a hard time deciphering the consistency of the numbers, as the numbers can be sometimes determined more by a person's mood and mental health rather than their physical health.

Weaknesses
Since his Drive, Bloodedge, drains his blood, extended use of it can weaken him greatly.

Other

Also has a cool theme song.

Marksmanship- even at a distance boba is a dangerous foe able to strike from mid to long range with fire, plasma, missiles, and even his ship.

Tracking/Hunting- Boba will chase you across the galaxy if you are his target. Hence his quote "You can run but you'll only die tired."

Strategist- Boba has shown himself able to set and escape traps, he often sets up the battle to his advantage before he even starts.

Ace Pilot- Boba has shown the ability to follow Han solo through a variety of dangerous situations. However he is a few ticks behind Han, Luke, & Vader.

Powers/Abilities (Things accredited to genes, unusual circumstances, and otherwise supernatural abilities):

Survivability- Boba has shown remarkable ability to survive encounter that should be fatal. Clashing with jedi, being eaten alive by a giant worm, falling into the Sarlac pit, falling into the Sarlac pit again. Time and time again boba rises up to the occasion and downright defies logic to come back from seemingly assured death.

Durasteel armor- Made of ome of the stromgest Alloys in the starwars universe, Boba's armor has withstood blasterbolts, lightsaber strikes, and even heavy physical blows from alien cratures.

Blasters- Boba has twin blastsr pistols, and a fully automatic assault rifle blaster both of which fire superheated bolts of plasma.

Flamethrowers- A sudden well hidden jet of flame makes an excellent surprise weapon which is almost nessicary due to its short range.

Anti vehicle missile- that rocket on his back is an armor piercing high explosive Photon torpedo, capable of taking small ships out of the air or downing tanks or similar heavy vehichles. Its homing is very effective.

Jetpack- one of boba's coolest gear pieces is his jet pack which he uses to gain the upper hand in combat situations. However a well placed shot can disable it breifly.

Misc- Nets, Grapple hooks, tranquilizer darts, medi kits, rations, traps, even a wrist com whic can remote control the slave 2. Boba comes equipped with all the gear he can carry without sacrificing much mobility.

Weaknesses (If anything notable):
Falling into Sarlac pits.
Being shot in the jetpack.
Han Solo
Others (Trivia, Theme music, etc.) (Optional):
Has dope rap and break dancing skills.

Name: Hoshi Oudori/Kamen Rider Break

Universe From: Kamen Rider (OC)

Gender: Male

Species: Human with biological alterations

Bio: There's another version of this out there, but the gist of it is:

1995 was a wild year for Hoshi Oudori. Between helping his parents with three younger siblings, holding down a job, cooking classes, and school, the stress would be enough to get to anyone. He picked up breakdancing as a hobby to blow off steam. And that's when the alien invasion started. He got kidnapped, experimented on, stole alien technology, and used it to fight the invaders as a rubbersuit spandexman. As Kamen Rider Break, Hoshi fought the alien menace, slowly overcoming it with techniques that were part martial art, part dance. Over the course of his battles with the invaders, he laughed, cried, had family drama, started dating one of the breakdancing girls, had his secret hobby revealed to his family who came to accept the needed stress relief, and fought a looot of aliens over the course of 48 weekly adventures (with breaks for relay races and golf). Now he's here.

Personality: Hoshi is a hard-working, straight laced young man. He's friendly, well liked by his classmates, and generous. For a while though, he was an absolute bundle of nerves, pulled every which way. He's since learned that it's okay to relax and take a breather sometimes, and all parts of his life have improved for it.

Skills: Breakdancing, caporeira, motorcycling, cooking, academics

Powers/Abilities (Things accredited to genes, unusual circumstances, and otherwise supernatural abilities):
  • Perfect Timing- Between his aptitude for dance and the superhuman senses and reflexes granted to him by alien experimentation, Hoshi has a perfect sense of timing. It's really the only reason he can make breakdancing work as a fighting style.
  • Super Strength- As a Showa-styled Rider, he's a modified human. Even out of his suit, he has enough strength to bend iron bars.
  • Machine Breaker: Hoshi's motorcycle. It's a dark blue Honda sport bike.
  • Break Blaster: Hoshi's boombox. When he transforms, it becomes a tremendous sonic cannon.
  • Ride Player: a cassette player that sits on his hip, resembling a Sony Walkman. It lets him use Ride Cassettes to transform into Kamen Rider Break. By pressing various buttons on the side, he can use various abilities:
    • Play: "Ride the Rhythm! [Name]!"- By pressing the play button, Hoshi transforms, or accesses the power of another Ride Cassette.
    • Rewind: "C'MON, PLAY IT BACK!"- By rewinding the Ride Cassette, Hoshi resets his body to an earlier point in a fight, erasing damage. However, overuse of this causes him to grow weaker because he's not getting exercise.
    • Fast Forward: "UP TEMPO! HIGH TEMPO! MAX TEMPO!"- By fast forwarding the tape, Hoshi moves at varying speeds.
    • Volume Up: "BLASTIN'!"- By increasing the volume, his attacks become louder and stronger.
    • Volume Down: "Quiet please!"- By decreasing the volume, his attacks become weaker, but he becomes much, much stealthier.
    • Previous Track: "Let's Groove! [name] Beat!"
    • Next Track: "GROOVE AND MOVE! [name] Finish!"
  • Ride Cassette: Freestyle Flow- An alien recording on cassette of human culture containing something Hoshi calls "The Beat of Justice." When played on the Rideplayer, Hoshi transforms into the iridescent green Kamen Rider Break. With a helmet resembling a jewel wasp with musical notes for eyes and antennae, a sturdy blue chest guard, gauntlet/wristband combos, biker gloves, and sensible shoes that look something like sneakers, he obviously takes design cues from both the Showa and Heisei era Riders. The backwards cap over his helmet is his own touch, though.
