1. Think of a Genre
- Think of how you want your roleplay to play out...
Should there be romance?
Adventure?
Mystery?
Horror?
Comedy?
Slice of Life?
2. Think of a Setting
Mountains
Islands
Kingdoms
Countries
Cities
Campuses
3. Think of a Goal
What is it that will unite the characters together?
Love?
Treasure?
Glory?
Adventure?
Family?
4. Think of different Personalities
What kinds of players do you want?
Cute/Shy
Dark/Mysterious
Comical/Light
Nerdy/Critical
Edgy/Judgemental
(Try to choose at least three different personalities)
5. Think of character Roles
What do each of them want?
(This not only helps people know how to audition, but also how their character will fit overall)
Hero(ine) - Ex: Princess
Side Kick - Ex: Animal Pal
The Evil Guys - Ex: The Evil Queen
The Good Guy - Ex: The Fair Godmother
The Middle Guy - Ex: The Grumpy Troll
6. Think of 5 Hurdles
Your players are going to need at least 5 things to help them reach the goal and help the story flow.
(It's your choice whether you want to keep it a secret or not)
The Introduction
The First Battle
The Journey
Bonding
The Final Battle
After figuring these six easy steps you should have a decent outline of what your story will look like. Now it's time to see how your players will shake it up!
