I'm gonna have to agree with Elfen Lied here
When I wasn't having nightmares about it, I was totally getting into the whole point it was making and themes and all that good stuff
I'm pretty Elfen Lied was the first anime that made me think like that
As well as the first one that made me think of themes outside of English class XD

I agree with the Death Parade and Death Billiards. This one's a little out there, especially in terms of animation style, but Kuuchuu Buranko was pretty cool in my book.
