Current Alias:
Robin

Batman, Bat-Clan, Superboy, League of Assasins (formerly)

Base of Operation/s:
Gotham, Bat-Cave, Wayne Manor

Status:
Alignment:
Good

Identity Knowledge:
TBD

Relationship Status:
Single

Ethnicity:
Arabic, Chinese, Caucasian

Characteristics:
Gender:
Male

Age:
10

Height:
4’7

Eye Colour:
Green

Hair Colour:
Black

Skin Tone:
Tan

History:
Origins:
Damian is the son of Talia Al Ghul and Bruce Wayne. Genetically perfected and grown in an artificial womb, Damian was intended to be a formidable warrior. He was raised by Talia and the League of Assassins, and had become a talented martial artist by the time he was a pre-teen. It was at this point Talia first revealed Damian's existence to his father, leaving him in Bruce’s custody in an effort to disrupt his work.

Precocious, spoiled, and violent, Damian almost immediately battled Tim Drake, whom he wanted to replace as Robin. After sucker punching boy off of the T-Rex in the Bat-Cave, it wasn’t a surprise when Bruce denied him this. It wasn’t until a time later, after Bruce’s supposed ‘death’, that Damian was granted the position of Robin.

Important History Points:
- Extensive training under the League of Assasins from a very young age.
- Movement to his father’s estate and guardianship.
- Achievement of Robin position.
- Eventual mellowing under Dick Grayson’s Batman.
- Return of Bruce Wayne.
- Befriending of Jon ‘Smith’ Kent.

Place In Character Arc:
At some point after his stint as Dick Grayson’s Robin. Still desperate to please his father and someday take the mantle, but is struggling with what he perceives as his father’s lack of trust in him. Has recently befriended Jon Kent, but has yet to form the Teen Titans.

Powers/Abilities:
Abilities:
Master Martial Artist:
Damian is an exceptional martial artist, trained by the best of the League of Assassins.

Master Assassin:
Due to the extreme training he has undergone, Damian possesses the skills and stealth of that of a trained assassin

Strength Level:
Damian possesses peak human strength for someone his size and age.

Stealth:
Due both to his small size, and extensive training.

Acrobatics:
Due to training with the League of Assassins.

Intelligence:
Damian is extremely intelligent for someone his age.

Powers:
Though genetically perfected before birth, Damian has no abilities that could be considered supernatural.

Paraphernalia:
Similar to Batman’s other charges, Damian Wayne possesses a utility belt filled with many different forms of Birdarangs: including normal, explosive, magnetic, electric and seeing-eye (equipt with a camera or tracker). It also holds Bolas, smoke and gas pellets, pressurised grappling hooks, glue globules, freeze grenades, stun pellets, a rebreather, a taser and a cryptographic sequencer.

Other equipment includes;
Katana sword
Brass knuckles
Gloves with lock picking mechanisms

Damian’s suit is made of a Nomex fire-resistant, triple-weave Kevlar-lined material. It is excellent protection against damage, insulated against electricity, fireproof, and his mask is held in place with spirit gum.

Relationships:
Bruce Wayne: TBD

Dick Grayson:
Damian’s relationship with Dick Grayson took many twists and turns in their time knowing each other, but has eventually settled into a strong but subtle bond. It took a long time, and the death of his father, before Damian began considering Grayson as less of a subpar obstacle in his pursuit of his father’s love and more of a...partner? Friend? Brother? Not that he would dare voice the sentiment, of course. While Damian still occasionally harbours slight feelings of envy at history between his father and Grayson, it’s impossible to hold against the man himself, though not for lack of trying.

Jason Todd: TBD

Tim Drake: TBD

Barbara Gordon: TBD

Cassandra Cain: TBD

Stephanie Brown:
It’s complicated. Damian doesn’t fully trust her abilities on the field; she doesn’t have the training and experience of Cassandra Cain, the previous Batgirl whom he had actually wanted to work alongside. Instead, he got Brown.

Clayface:
He’s a fool. Damian doesn’t care for him.

Helena Bertinelli:
They don’t interact often. Damian has no doubt her abilities would be about on par with Brown’s that is to say, abismal.

Selina Kyle:
Damian dislikes her largely because of her relationship with his father. He doesn’t want to give her a chance, and so doesn’t think about it further. Her cats, though? A completely different matter.

Slade Wilson:
Damian respects him, on some level. If only because of the obvious frustration he manages to cause both his father and Grayson. Which, ironically, is also the cause of his disdain towards the man.

Characteristics:

Gender:
Male

27

Appearance:
Dick Grayson has a fairly average and muscular build, as well as being rather tall in height. He has black hair that can be mussed and a bit unruly at times, and blue eyes. His skin color is slightly pale, though still fairly tan. There are a few stress lines on his face that have gradually appeared over the years, but nothing too noticeable.
His costume is a light, flexible black suit with the bright blue silhouette of a bird spread across his chest and extending to his shoulders and arms. He has black boots and guantlets that blend in with the rest of the costume, as well as a domino mask to cover his eyes.
When not crime fighting, Dick is usually dressed in casual civilian clothes, never having anything much that would stand out about him or draw any particular attention.

History:

Origins:
Richard Grayson was born to Mary and John Grayson, two acrobats that worked for Haly's Circus. The boy was practically trained in acrobatics from birth, and had a mostly positive upbringing and a happy childhood at the circus. At a very young age he joined his parents' acrobatic act, and quickly became known as the youngest member of the Flying Graysons. The family's act amazed anyone who saw it, since not only did they accomplish spectacular feats, but they managed to do it all without a safety net to catch them if they fell. For a while the life of glory and general contentment continued, until one fateful day when the traveling circus made a stop in Gotham City.

While everything was being unpacked, unloaded, and made ready for that night's performance, Dick was playing around nearby the circus owner's trailer when he heard angry voices coming from within. He heard the voice of Mr. Haly, along with another voice that was ominously unfamiliar to him. The strange voice was demanding protection money from the circus during its' stay in Gotham, in order to prevent any unfortunate "accidents" from occurring. Mr. Haly naturally refused the thug, and threw him out of the trailer and out of the circus in response. The stranger, who declared himself as Tony Zucco, stumbled out in a rage, promising that they'd be sorry that they hadn't accepted his offer of protection. Dick was rather disturbed upon witnessing this encounter, but eventually the memory of it faded into the back of his mind as he and his family practiced for their act the rest of the afternoon.

That evening, the time for the performance came. It was going to be a particularly large crowd, due to a billionaire named Bruce Wayne sponsoring the event and attracting many other socialites like him because of it. Before the Graysons' act that night, when the little family was just getting ready to go onstage, Dick glimpsed a shady, almost familiar looking man exiting the tent from the area where all the ropes and pulleys were kept. In an instant the boy realized why the man looked familiar; he was the stranger that had been thrown out of the circus earlier that day. Before he could voice his suspicions about the man however, he and his family were called on to perform. Unfortunately, the Flying Graysons' act was doomed to end in tragedy. While Dick's parents were swinging midair over the ring on the two trapezes, and he waited on a nearby platform to join them, suddenly the wires that held up the trapezes snapped due to being weakened. The boy watched in utter horror as his parents fell to their deaths in the ring.

What followed afterward all seemed to be a muddled blur. Dick tried to tell the police all he knew about Tony Zucco, but Zucco managed to vanish off the grid before he could be apprehended for questioning. Shortly after the tragedy of his parents' deaths, the young orphan was placed in a juvinile services system due to social services being full. It was a miserable experience for him, and even after he was transferred to a Catholic orphanage, things got no better for him. He continued to be in a rather sorry state, once even trying to escape the orphanage, before he was rescued from the situation by Bruce Wayne. Bruce had been there to watch the fateful performance, and apparently felt great sympathy for the boy's situation. He took Dick in as his ward, not wanting to immediately take the place of his father in his life.

At first being taken to Wayne Manor and being taken in by someone who could understand and relate to his situation was a relative comfort, but Dick began to notice how Bruce was barely ever around to spend time with him, especially during the evenings. The mansion was large, empty, and lonely, even with the company of Bruce Wayne's butler. For a lot of the time, the boy was left alone with his pain and guilt about what had happened to his parents. He couldn't stand the thought of his parents' murderer escaping unpunished, and so eventually, he snuck out of the Manor in order to investigate the Graysons' murder and find Zucco. While he went out investigating he actually was able to pick up some leads, and in the process returned to the site of the circus during the search. While looking around there, suddenly Dick was ambushed by one of the things that worked with Zucco, and was nearly killed in the encounter. Before he could be finished off however, Batman swooped in to intervene, saving his life once more.

The crime fighting vigilante had also been investigating the case, since recently Zucco and anyone associated with him had earned the Batman's wrath, which had in turn led him to the boy in peril. The injured boy was taken to the Batcave once the thug had been dispatched, and was soon able to recover from his injury to the head enough to regain consciousness. Once he did so however, he was shocked to see where he was. Batman confronted him, but in the following conversation, he eventually removed his cowl, and revealed himself to be Bruce Wayne. Dick was even more shocked by this new revelation, yet he couldn't help but be somewhat thrilled by it as well.

After a moment of consideration, Bruce made the boy the offer of a lifetime. If he wanted to have vengeance on Zucco that badly, he could help Batman solve the case. But that wasn't all. If he wished to, he could become the Batman's crime fighting partner, in order to help him fight against all injustice and prevent things like his parents' murder from happening again. Bruce knew that the boy was in a dark place, and an outlet like the one that he was suggesting seemed like a more positive alternative than what could happen otherwise. Even though Dick was nearly overwhelmed by all the information he was given, he accepted the Batman's offer without hesitation. That night, in the dim light of a flickering candle, the two pledged an oath together to always deliver justice to the corrupt and unjust, protect the innocent, and never swerve from the path of righteousness.

And with that, the preparations and training began. Bruce and Dick were able to track down Zucco together and prove his guilt, but before the man could be arrested and brought to justice, he abruptly died of a heart attack. Nevertheless, Dick had refused to kill Zucco once confronting him, and was able to gradually move on from the death of his parents after this event. The boy continued to be trained, coming up with his own superhero identity and costume in the process. He chose to be called Robin, due to being inspired by the classic story of Robin Hood, and also because of his mother nicknaming him such when he was young and seemed to almost want to fly while doing his acrobatics.

And so once Dick was deemed ready, Batman and Robin hit the streets as a crime fighting duo. Things seemed to be going ideally well for the two for a while; smiles and laughter were not as uncommon as they used to be at Wayne Manor, and all in all Dick Grayson's first years as Robin were a fairly bright start for the rest of his superhero career.

Important History
Points:
-When young, Robin was one of the founders of the Teen Titans, along with other sidekicks his age.

-Once Robin reached his teenage years, he began to grow more distant from Bruce as he started becoming more independent and wanting to be acknowledged as such rather than further restrained by protective orders and rules.

-While in his late teens, Robin was summoned by Raven to lead the New Teen Titans, which led to his acquaintance and eventual romance with Starfire as well as furthering his independence from Batman.

-On a mission with Batman at the age of nineteen, The Joker shot Robin in the shoulder, which led to Batman firing him and deciding to end his career as a sidekick.

-Even after being fired, Robin still led the Teen Titans, but had moved out of Wayne Manor and realized at this point that the identity of Robin would no longer suit him Once Dick had asked Superman for some advice, he took inspiration from the story the other one told him about a Kryptonian hero, and chose the name Nightwing for his new superhero identity.

-Bruce eventually accepted that Dick was ready to be his own hero and go out on his own, so the two parted on fairly good terms.

-Nightwing began to operate in Blüdhaven, a cesspool of crime and corruption worse than even Gotham.

-While with the Titans, Dick would eventually find out about the newest Robin, Jason Todd's death, not having even been notified of the funeral. Bruce and Dick were at odds for a long time afterwards, both of them severely shaken and devastated by what happened.

-Nightwing was met by Tim Drake, who wished to be the next Robin after realizing that Dick wouldn't go back to the role. The two ended up bonding, and Dick personally vouched for Tim to be the next Robin when confronting Bruce about it.

-When Bruce's back was broken by Bane, after a while Dick took over as Batman for a short time, with Tim Drake as his Robin. It was a mostly positive experience, and allowed Bruce and Dick to finally reconcile their differences.

-,A little while after Nightwing returned to working in Blüdhaven, a deep friendship developed between him and Barbara Gordon, which slowly began to develop into a budding romance.

-As a gesture of good will, Bruce offered to officially adopt Dick as his son like his other children instead of just being simply his ward, and Dick accepted this, gladly signing the papers once it came time.

-When Bruce had supposedly died, Dick was devastated by this, but nevertheless he was forced to take over in protecting Gotham along with other friends and allies, and didn't have much time to grieve.

-After having an encounter with the resurrected Jason Todd and realizing that Gotham would always need a Batman, Dick decided to once more don the cowl, and take the mantle of Batman. Along with taking the role of Batman, Dick also took Damian Wayne, Bruce's son, under his wing as Robin. The two worked together for some time, and gradually became
quite effective partners. It was a rocky but overall positive experience, as Damian came out better for it, and that was what Dick had hoped to accomplish.

-Once Bruce had returned from being trapped in time, Dick and Damian continued as Batman and Robin for a little while longer while Bruce traveled around the world to establish Batman Incorporated. Eventually however, Bruce took over the role of Batman once more, and Dick went back to being Nightwing and watching over Blüdhaven.

Place In Character Arc:
It's been a little while since Dick has been Batman, and he has managed to settle into a fairly regular and comfortable routine with crime fighting in Blüdhaven as Nightwing, though he'll readily come back to Gotham whenever a case is needed to be solved or if his help is needed in any other way.

Power/Abilities:

Abilities:
Dick's most prominent and notable ability that makes him unique from other crime fighters is his impressive skills in acrobatics. He can perform amazing acrobatic feats, and often incorporates them into his fighting style. He has overall reached a peak human level of agility and acrobatics, which is mostly due to his beginnings and greatly honing those skills over the years.

Due to his extensive training and much physical exercise, Dick Grayson is at peak human shape physically. He has peak agility, speed, endurance, and strength. He does have many limits of course, just like Batman. But also just like his mentor, he keeps working to surpass these limits and be the best he can be every day.

Nightwing is also very proficient in martial arts and an excellent fighter. This is mostly thanks to the training that he had from Bruce, but he also has studied under a couple other masters as well. He is proficient in many different forms of martial arts, but his emphasis is mostly on Aikido and Eskrima when it comes to his fighting style.

He has also been trained well in stealth, as not only does his light sensitive suit help him with blending into an area, but he can also easily slip away quietly from a situation as well as manage to sneak up on someone without them realizing it. Another thing that he has been trained well in by Batman is escapology. He is able to easily get out of cuffs and most other kinds of traps, though of course it always depends on the trap.

Nightwing is proficient with several kinds of weapons, including swords, throwing knives, firearms, and shuriken like projectiles. He was trained by Bruce in swordsmanship, and is quite skilled in the art, but doesn't prefer a sword as a main weapon by any means. He rather prefers to use a pair of short Eskrima sticks as his main weapon of choice, and wields them more frequently than any other weapon.

Dick isn't only skilled in the physical, however. He is also quite intelligent as well, able to hack through complicated computer systems, and can build gadgets of his own design. He is an excellent detective as well, his ability to quickly solve a case impressing even his mentor at times. He is quick-witted and observant, which is quite helpful when it comes to solving a case. As another, slightly less prominent but still useful skill, Dick also knows various other languages such as Spanish, French, German, Russian, Japanese, Mandarin, and the alien language of Tamaran.

Powers:
None.

Paraphernalia:
One of Nightwing's most useful tools at his disposal is his suit itself. It is made of fire resistant and electrically insulated material, and is also triple weave lined with Kevlar. Along with the protection it provides, it is also light sensitive and so can darken when there is there is more light for stealth purposing. The suit is specially designed to increase the capacity of mobility, a little more so than Batman's. Nightwing uses shuriken like projectiles he calls "Wing Dings", as well as a pair of twin Eskrima sticks that he uses as his primary weapon. As for transportation, Dick either uses a fully armored and disguisable car that he built himself or a personalized motorcycle that he calls the "Wingcycle".

Relationships:
Bruce Wayne- Bruce and Dick have a very complex relationship. While it is not entirely uncommon for the two to be butting heads or disagreeing about something, they also share a deep bond that is never broken by such encounters, even if it is sorely tested sometimes. Dick obviously cares deeply about Bruce with unfaltering loyalty, openly admitting several times that he'd die for Bruce, and would do practically anything for him. However he also isn't afraid to confront Bruce and speak his mind whenever he thinks something is wrong with the other one or that he has gone too far. Nevertheless, no matter how bluntly he speaks in such situations, he always does it out of concern for his former mentor, and also because he usually wants to stop the other one from going down a dark path while forgetting that his family was still there for him. No matter what, Dick will always see Bruce as a father and a close friend, someone who he will always strive to make proud.

Alfred Pennyworth- Alfred was another key figure in Dick's early adolescence that partly helped raise him, as well as made sure that Bruce didn't neglect his responsibilities in the matter either. Compared to Bruce's often cold and aloof manner, Alfred was a comforting presence for Dick that helped balance out the little family of three. He would often come to Alfred to get advice or lick his wounds after any quarrels with Bruce. Even after Dick moved out of the house, he still considered Alfred to always be a good and trustworthy friend. The two would be especially close during Dick's time as Batman, which was a time when he needed support more than ever. Now he still comes to Alfred every now and then if he needs a good friend and confidante, always greatly appreciating the butler even if he doesn't always get the chance to say so in words.

Jason Todd- The relationship between Jason and Dick has always been complicated, at best. When Dick first discovered that someone else was replacing him as Robin without him even knowing at first, naturally he was somewhat uncomfortable and didn't know what to think about it at first. However, once he had been able to actually meet the boy, Nightwing gave his approval, even making a brotherly gesture of offering to stick up for him if ever he got into hot water with Bruce. Most of his consternation and frustration about the whole matter was directed completely at Bruce rather than Jason, but because of this strained distance between the former partners, he never really got to see Jason all that much either. But despite this, once getting back from an off world mission and learning that his replacement had been killed, Dick was horrified and grief stricken. He hadn't even been able to attend the funeral, due to not knowing about it. Jason's death greatly affected Dick for a long time, as he bitterly blamed Bruce at the time for letting the boy crime fight when he just hadn't been ready for it. Eventually the pain and horror of Jason's death faded, though it remained a haunting memory. Once Jason had come back from the dead, things didn't get much better for the two's relationship, since they always seemed to oppose each other one way or another. Dick really does regret the way things went with Jason, and wishes that there was some way that he could help or reconcile with the other one, but unfortunately this never seems to be a possible option.

Tim Drake- Tim and Dick have a close relationship, having a bond that is one of the most brotherly of the family. While at first when the two met Dick was distrustful and not very friendly to the young teen due to still being in a cold and grieving state, it wasn't long before Tim was able to win him over. He still gently denied the other one's request to take up the role of Robin again, but he was happy to vouch for Tim to be the next Robin in order to help Bruce out of the dark state that Jason's death had put him in. The positive relationship between the two continued to develop, until they grew as close as brothers. There were still some struggles between the two of course, as occasionally they might fight or end up disagreeing about something, but they always managed to reconcile in the end. All in all Dick really cares about Tim, and sees him as both a brother and a true equal.

Damian Wayne- Dick and Damian's bond is one that is essentially a subtle yet still a close one. Their relationship was certainly one that was developed over time. It had taken a long time for Dick to earn Damian's trust and respect, but eventually he had managed to do so, even if the other one might never quite admit so in words. Dick, like others in the family, had a difficult time dealing with Damian and his attitude at first, but at this point he understands the other one and has by now developed a certain patience with him. He has come to care about Damian quite a bit after working with him closely as a partner for some time, and usually knows how to handle him better than most others as well. He knows when to give support to Damian and when to just leave him alone if needed, and respects his former partner well enough to abide by these boundaries, even if sometime he might lightly tease the other one a bit from time to time. Overall Dick is quite fond of Damian, and has always been sympathetic about the boy having lost his childhood before it had even begun, trying to give the other one a chance to experience just a bit of it whenever it's possible to do so.

Deathstroke- Deathstroke is a villain that has earned Nightwing's ire more than most other villains, mostly due to his particular antagonization of the Teen Titans, a group that Dick used to lead, as well as the slight rivalry and other unpleasant encounters between the two during the years that followed afterward. Perhaps a point of frustration for Nightwing in particular is the fact that Deathstroke is such an extremely difficult opponent to defeat whenever they face each other, though this was more frustrating when he was younger than it is now. By this point Dick is simply ready to try to prevent anything the mercenary does next that is against the law, just like with any other villain- though what happened with the Titans is still hardly forgotten.

The Joker- Dick, much like his former mentor, has a certain hatred for the Clown Prince of Crime due to all that he has done, but it is not a hatred that he allows to consume him. No matter what The Joker has done to Dick when targeting him to get to Batman in fact, has never really been enough to bring him down or phase him entirely. He has certainly been shaken and disturbed by the maniacal clown, but never broken. That is the angle that he usually takes when having to confront Joker, purposefully treating him like or at least calling him a common criminal like any other that has to be taken down. In reality though, Nightwing knows to never underestimate The Joker. In his own way he can't help but be slightly afraid and trepidatius whenever the family has to deal with the psychopathic clown, if only because of what Joker has done to the family in the past.

(That's about it for now! I'm sorry if my summaries of the history points or Dick's relationships end up being contradictory to anyone else's, and if that's so, I'll be glad to change anything right away that might need to be changed, and my apologies for any inconveniences. >.< )

Stephanie Brown is the daughter of the Cluemaster, one of Gotham's third-rate criminals. Her father spent most of her childhood in jail or away from the family. He claims to be rehabilitated upon his return to Gotham, but Stephanie becomes furious when she discovers that he is actually returning to crime, this time not leaving his trademark clues behind. She decides something needs to be done.

Stephanie Brown tailors a costume for herself, and calls herself the "Spoiler" due to her attempts to 'spoil' her father's plans. She learns where her father is hiding out, finds out his plans, and leaves clues so that the police and Batman could stop him.

Robin (Tim Drake) tracks her down and, after a few brief confrontations, helps capture Cluemaster. Although she initially wishes to kill her father,Batman convinces her to allow him to be arrested.

Each time Cluemaster escapes or starts some new plan, Stephanie dons her costume again. Eventually, she decides she likes being a superhero, and she begins regular patrols as Spoiler.

Important History Points:

Used to date Tim Drake

Spent time as Robin the fourth Robin when Tim Drake was unable to be in the role due to his father. She ended getting fired from the Robin role after Batman decided she was too unskilled at the time to replace Tim and returns to the Spoiler role.
In an effort to prove her worth to Batman, Stephanie steals one of his long-term plans for dealing with the entirety of Gotham's criminal underworld, arranging a meeting to bring them all together. The result is a citywide gang war in which Stephanie is captured by the Black Mask. She is tortured extensively by Black Mask to get information about Batman, as well as learning enough information to allow him to take control of Batman's plan and assume command of the gangs himself. Although she escapes and makes her way to a hospital, she is severely injured, and Doctor Leslie Thompkins fakes her death to Batman.

She spends time in Africa after her fake death under an alias, Stephanie had been performing volunteer work until an attack from a local witch-hunting tribe prompted her to return to crimefighting, and subsequently to Gotham.

After Bruce supposedly dies she is given the role of Batgirl from her best friend and the previous Batgirl Cassandra Cain.

Place in Current Arc:
Currently trying to find a balance with her work as a superhero and her normal life as a college student while also trying to prove she is truly worthy of her title as Batgirl.

Paraphernalia:
After Stephanie took on the Batgirl identity, Barbara Gordon designed a new costume for Stephanie more in line with the rest of the Bat-family's. It is equipped with Kevlar and carbon fiber-reinforced polymer to protect against ballistic, flame, and electrical attacks. Stephanie's Batsuit also carries a wireless relay within the cowl, permitting her to remain in contact with Barbara. The suit also allows Barbara to monitor Stephanie's vital signs. Stephanie now uses a collapsible bo staff.
She carries a belt similar to that used by other Gotham vigilantes containing a grappling hook, tracking devices, and various other crime fighting paraphernalia.

Relationships:

Robin Damian Wayne:
She finds the current Robin to be an annoying Gremlin and the two are constantly bickering when they interact.

Red Robin Tim Drake:
The two used to date and things are a bit awkward between the two currently.

Nightwing Dick Grayson:

She thinks he is an amazing person with an amazing butt that is super popular in the female superhero community. He is also the second best at making jokes in the bat family behind Steph herself.

Red Hood Jason Todd:

Steph doesn't really know him that well, but she knows he has a history of attacking Tim and Dick.

Clayface, Joker, Twoface, and Deathstroke:

They are dangerous villains and it's her job as a hero to stop them.

Batman Bruce Wayne:

She respects Bruce and feels like he doesn't feel like that she truly deserves the role as Batgirl and that he might be mad at her for slapping him that one time after he came back.

Huntress Helena Bertinelli:

Steph has respect for Helena because of their shared history of having villains as fathers.

History:
Origins:
Slade Wilson was sixteen years old when he first enlisted in the United States Army, having lied about his age. After serving a stint in Korea, he was later assigned to Camp Washington where he had been promoted to the rank of Major. In the early 1960s, he met Captain Adeline Kane who was tasked with training young soldiers in new fighting techniques in anticipation of brewing troubles taking place in Vietnam. Kane was amazed at how skilled Slade was and how quickly he adapted to modern conventions of warfare. She immediately fell in love with him, and realized that he was without a doubt the most able-bodied combatant she had ever encountered. She offered to privately train Slade in guerrilla warfare. In less than a year, Slade mastered every fighting form presented to him and was soon promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Six months later, Adeline and he were married and she became pregnant with their first child. It was at this time that the war in Vietnam began to escalate and Slade was shipped overseas. At home, Adeline gave birth to their son Grant.

Some time later, Wilson volunteered for a medical experiment designed to stimulate his adrenal gland in the hopes of increasing a soldier's ability to resist truth serums but it was actually meant to create super soldiers. The experiment did not go as expected initially, and Slade fell into a coma. When he awakened however, he discovered that he was a metahuman as the serum activated his dormant metahuman gene, and his strength, durability and agility were increased to superhuman levels. He applied for re-assignment with the Army, but they refused him. Although his condition was now stabilized, depression took hold of him and he was desperate to serve his country. At this time, Adeline became pregnant with their second child, Joseph. Unable to further his career in the military, Slade turned towards hunting. He became a world famous safari hunter and great wealth followed soon after. Adeline always suspected however that Slade felt unfulfilled.

A few years later, a group of hired mercenaries broke into the Wilson's mansion and kidnapped young Joseph. Adeline attempted to fight them off, but a gas grenade prevented her from saving her son. When Slade discovered what had happened, he knew he could not keep the truth from his wife any longer. Slade was not only a world famous safari hunter, he was also one of the world's deadliest and most highly sought after assassins - Deathstroke. He promised Adeline that he would save their son. Together, they flew to Tangier and squared off against a rival contract killers. They wanted Slade to reveal important information relating to a client or else he would have his men kill Joseph. Slade gambled on the idea that he could save his son before they could give the order. Unfortunately, Joseph's throat was slashed by one of the criminals before Slade could prevent it, destroying his vocal cords and rendering him mute. After the encounter and with the ambulance called, Slade's wife, enraged at his endangerment of her son, tried to kill Slade by shooting him, but only managed to destroy his right eye. Afterward, his confidence in his physical abilities was such that he made no secret of his impaired vision, marked by his mask which has a black featureless half covering his lost eye.

Important History Points:
Death of his son Grant while on a contract by H.I.V.E to kill the Teen Titans

He has been able to swiftly defeat other martial arts masters such as Bronze Tiger, as well as take on 300 opponents at once.
Eskrima

Stick Fighting: Deathstroke is highly skilled in stick-based martial arts. He is capable of skillfully wielding two eskrima sticks, or a single bo staff in combat. He has also shown skill with nunchucks.

Military Protocol: Deathstroke is a highly trained special ops operative who has years of mercenary experience. Deathstroke has fought for the special ops section of the military in places like Bosnia, North Korea, Southeast Asia and Russia.

Surveillance

Swordsmanship: Deathstroke is a highly skilled swordsman. One of his favorite personal weapons is a large broadsword. He has been able to keep up with the highly skilled Ra's al Ghul in a sword duel.

Tactical Analysis: Deathstroke has been described as a tactical genius and is easily the equal of Batman in terms of strategic planning. Deathstroke's intellect is deadlier than his sword. He typically out-thinks and out-strategizes everybody in the book. He was even able to capture both Flash and Kid Flash without anyone noticing.

Throwing: Deathstroke is highly skilled in knife throwing, as he has displayed on multiple occasions. Slade's aim is so great, he was able to slice a fly in half by throwing a paper clip.

Weaponry: Deathstroke is highly skilled in the use of many different types of weapons. He has displayed great proficiency in sword fighting, knife fighting, as well as stick fighting.

Powers:
Enhanced Mind: Slade volunteered for an experimental procedure that activated a dormant Metagene, which evolved his brain. This greatly enhanced Slade's mental capacity, as well as allows him to access his brain functions on a celluar level, granting him enhanced physical attributes. As a result, he possesses a superior intellect to what humans could ever have. His mind works at incredible speeds and is his greatest asset. Able to think and perceive 9 times faster and utilize that much more of his mind than average human for information processing and sorting. He is capable of perfectly memorizing anything, he can perfectly remember and instantly recall everything he has ever experienced, encountered or learned in his lifetime without being overwhelmed or a pause for thought. He only needs to read, hear, see, or observe something once and he will never forget it, and he has unlimited storage capacity. Deathstroke's mind is virtually a supercomputer built for strategy and problem-solving, one that works at optimal ability even when under stress and fatigue. He can work out a battle ahead of time for every possibility and predict enemy movements and tactics after the battle has engaged by instantly recalling and utilizing memorized mannerisms acquired through past experience. He is ingenious in; devising solutions against superior aspects of opponents, observing and exploiting, and can in a few seconds make any calculations especially regarding distance, speed, and time; his sense of timing is perfect. He immediately solves any problem he happens to face and instantly formulates how to overcome any obstacle. He can understand the mechanics behind any issue he faces and knows what must be done to solve any problem.

Accelerated Healing: Deathstroke's rapid healing clots blood in seconds and seals wounds in minutes. The time it takes for full healing depends upon the wound: a bee sting, maybe a couple seconds. A gunshot wound: a few hours. It depends on the complexity of the knitting process, how much tissue needs to be regenerated and other factors. It is not an instant process. Deathstroke's rapid healing cannot regenerate organs. It can heal organs, but, for example, it won't regenerate a liver if a bad guy rips his out. Therefore, his rapid healing power did not simply create a new eye. Deathstroke experiences pain like anyone else. Deathstroke experiences trauma like anyone else and is capable of going into traumatic shock from injury. If he does not allow his rapid healing process to properly close a wound, Deathstroke can bleed out and die just like anyone else.

Decelerated Aging: Deathstroke's healing factor also supplies him with a nearly-ageless lifespan.

Toxic Immunity: Deathstroke's regenerative healing provides him with an enhanced immunity to toxins. When exposed to a dangerous paralyzation toxin, it only weakened Slade from superhuman levels to normal human levels, rather than instantly paralyze him.

Superhuman Agility: Deathstroke is extraordinarily limber and his tendons and connective tissues are twice as elastic as the average human being's, despite their enhanced strength. He can perform any complicated sequence of gymnastic stunts such as flips, rolls, and springs. He is able to achieve a state of perfect equilibrium in any position. He is able to adjust his position by instinct, allowing him to balance himself on any object, no matter how small or narrow.

Superhuman Durability: Deathstroke's skin, bone, and muscle tissues are considerably stronger and harder than human and the tissues are impervious to injury to an extraordinary extent. He was even able to withstand hits from the vastly strong Wonder Woman.

Superhuman Reflexes: Deathstroke possesses reflexes far superior to a normal human. He is able to easily dodge point-blank gunfire, casually dodge point blank gunfire from multiple assailants, and has caught a dagger thrown at him from behind, without looking. Deathstroke was even able to react quick enough to deflect Superman's heat-vision back at him.

Superhuman Senses: Deathstroke's senses are far more heightened than those of a normal human.
Deathstroke's senses are far more heightened than those of a normal human. While temporarily blinded, Deathstroke was able to easily maneuver around a large complex, due to his heightened senses.
He has, Enhanced Hearing and an Enhanced Sense of Smell. However he is slightly impaired due to lack of one of his eyes, as a result he has a blind spot, his depth perception is not a problem however as he has grown used to having one eye.

Superhuman Speed: Deathstroke is capable of moving at speeds greater than the finest human athlete. Even the Flash considers Deathstroke to be fast.

Superhuman Stamina: Deathstroke can exert himself for hours, while wearing a heavy body armor, without tiring easily.

Superhuman Strength: His entire muscular system was hardened and fortified making Deathstroke many times stronger and durable than humans. He places this capability into his strikes, augmenting the concussive force of his attacks. His strength is sufficient enough to press about a 1 ton with ease. He is strong enough to easily cut through a car with his sword, catch a bullet with his teeth, easily snap a sword in half, rip an airplane door off with one hand as well as casually overpower normal humans and lift and throw a large piece of concrete. And even trade hits with Donna Troy.

Gear/Weapons:

Ikon Suit (Note: I am taking away the gravity sheath from this suit as it doesn't feel necessary for this RP, even though I am doing a more Rebirth version of Deathstroke) Deathstroke wears a suit of Promethium lined armor, making it quite slash, stab, and bullet proof, aside from the weakness on the white sleeve which is incomplete. It also allows for seeing in night vision, infrared, and thermal imaging.

The Deathstroke: The Deathstroke is a Scottish broadsword & Slade's first & favorite sword. At some point, a group of benefactors had Volatile Promethium forged into the blade which is a dangerous material Deathstroke is immune to due to his healing factor, it is a mutagen and can cause mutations in those it impacts, The blade cannot be damaged or destroyed by any known means and is known for absorbing near-limitless amounts of energy, as well as redirect energy as per when Deathstroke deflected Superman's heat vision with the sword back at him without damage to the sword which means the sword is invincible.

Energy Staff: One of Deathstroke's signature weapons, a near indestructible bo staff that can also discharge an energy blast (strong enough to destroy aircraft and even injure powerful metahumans but this can be manually altered to shoot weaker blast's). He can also separate his staff into two eskrima sticks.

Grappling hooks: Slade also carries grappling guns that shoot hook lines and allow him to reach great heights or restrain his targets (similar to Batman's).

Military grade knife: One of the knives he carries

Various firearms: Deathstroke carries various firearms, for simplicities sake, he will be carrying for now an assault rifle, and duo automatic pistols all of which are silenced and fire promethium bullets, which are more powerful than average bullets but means he has a limited amount to use and can't acquire more unless he were to go back for it, depending on where they go, he may go back to get more weapons

Various explosives: Deathstroke is carrying 3 flashbangs, 3 EMP grenades, and 3 frag grenades

Relationships:
Bruce Wayne/Batman: Even though Deathstroke will never admit it, Deathstroke actually respects Batman, for his conviction, and for his skill and intelligence. Obviously this won't stop Deathstroke from putting Batman in his sights if he's hired to do so.

Dick Grayson/Nightwing: These two have a very complicated history, on one hand Deathstroke has continually time and time again targeted him for being a member of the Teen Titans, but Slade knows and acknowledges Dick isn't that bad, he has even periodically entrusted Dick to keep his daughter Rose on straight. Nonetheless these two will still go at it.

Jason Todd/Red Hood: Deathstroke and Jason Todd have a very adversarial relationship, obviously due to Jason's predisposition to target criminals and kill them, this leads to the two butting heads often.

Damian Wayne/Robin: These two don't get along either, especially due to Deathstroke's disdain with the kid's League of Assassin's fanaticism, and his attitude. Also the fact that he's a Robin as a member of the Teen Titans.

Villains: Professional relationship with everyone, as they tend to be his employers.

Growing up under the parentage of an abusive and mentally-ill father, Harvey Dent started developing repressed mental illnesses of his own, such as bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. His hard work ethic, however, later allowed him to rise as the youngest district attorney to serve Gotham City, nicknamed "Apollo" for his good looks and clean-cut image, at age 26. He is elected about six months before Batman takes his role as a masked vigilante.

Dent forges an alliance with police captain James Gordon and Batman to rid Gotham of crime boss Sal Maroni, and Carmine Falcone, with the former murdered by the latter's son. Gordon also speculated that Dent might have been Batman, but dismissed this theory on grounds that Dent lacked Batman's financial resources. Falcone hires the corrupt Assistant District Attorney Vernon Fields to provide Sal Maroni with sulfuric acid to disfigure Dent with. Two-Face gets his trademark coin from his father that would employ the coin in a perverse nightly "game" that always ended with a beating. This would instill in Dent his lifelong struggle with free will and his eventual inability to make choices on his own, relying on the coin to make all of his decisions. Eventually, the scarred Dent takes his revenge on Fields and Maroni, leading to his incarceration in Arkham Asylum.

Two-Face then staged a trial for Batman at the old Couthouse, where he acted as judge, jury and prosecutor. Two-Face blamed Batman of betraying his trust before the accident with Sal Maroni that scarred his face and therefore, he blamed Batman for him turning into Two-Face. Batman managed to free himself during the trial and after a long chase and a battle in a nearby construction site, Batman defeated Two-Face thanks to Robin's timely arrival. Afterwards, Two-Face was arrested by the GCPD and taken to prison.

History:
Origins:
Cassandra was created to be the body guard of Ra’s al Ghul. Her biological father, David Cain, wanted a perfect mother for this child who needed to have the genes of a warrior if she was going to live up to her purpose. He found that mother in Sandra who would later go on to become the Lady Shiva. The two had Cassandra and David raised her with training instead of teachings. Crafting the perfect guardian for Ra’s. One who wouldn’t think, only act as commanded.

Important History Points:
-She was sent on her first test at 8 years old. She succeeded killing her target, but having been taught how to understand emotion was able to understand the pain her target went through on a much more personal level than most would. It scared her, causing her to runaway out of fear for what she had done. To escape those emotions she never wanted to feel again.

-For 10 years she lived homeless. Unable to communicate unable to forgive herself. Then she found herself in a situation that could lead to redemption. It was simple. A robbery right in front of her. She stopped it knocking the man out in a blink of an eye. Later that day she was reached by a person by the name oracle asking if she wanted to be an agent for good. Cassandra decided it was time to finally put her training to use decided that instead of guarding Ra’s al Ghul she would now guard the innocent.

-She worked as an agent of Oracle for the next couple months and began to gain her trust. She saved Gordon’s life and was finally trusted enough to be brought deeper into the team, being inducted into the bat family as Batgirl.

-Cassandra served as Batgirl for awhile, but decided that Batgirl needed to be someone who could not just strike fear in the hearts of criminals, but bring hope to those who need it. Feeling she wasn’t the person to bring hope Cassandra relinquished her role to Stephanie, instead taking up the mantle of the Black Bat. A figure who didn’t need to provide the same kind of hope that Batgirl provides to the people of Gotham.

Place In Character Arc:
Now that Cassandra has finally begun to find a place for her unique abilities she has started focusing on her life without abilities, learning how to be normal. Her lack of language learning makes things difficult, but with the support of the bat family, Cassandra has begun to comprehend the world around her through more than just emotions and body language, but through words. She can now speak and understand english quite well, but her sentences remain short and to the point. She continues to have difficulties reading and writing. In costume she tends to resort to her old ways, and it is a rarity to hear her speak when donning the costume of the Black Bat.

Powers/Abilities:
Abilities:
Superior Combat Close Combat

Excellent Physical condition

High Pain threshold

Some detective training

The above mentioned abilities come from Cassandra’s training with many instructors hired by her father. On top of that she has since received further training from Batman for her new role as the Black Bat. This is where her detective training comes from, although that is only in its early stages as she is a relatively new member to the family.

Powers:
Cassandra’s cognitive functions allow her to have almost inhuman coordination as well as the ability to understand and predict the smallest changes in an opponent’s movements in both combat as well as social situations.

Parerphernalia:
Her suit has the yellow utility belt commonplace among the batfamily with the usual, grappling hooks, batarangs, mini explosives, tracking devices, hand based computer, binoculars, handcuffs, and smoke pellets. She often doesn’t use these though as she prefers to rely on her own abilities and training than the gadgets at her disposal.

Relationships:
Bruce Wayne:
Bruce Wayne is the father Cassandra never had. Teaching her that there is more to her than just her life as the Black Bat. Revealing to her that just because she was taught to kill for the league it doesn’t mean that is the path she must go down.

Dick Grayson: TBD

Barbara Gordon:
Barbara is the member of the Batfamily who first noticed Cassandra, and because of that, Cassandra is eternally grateful to her as she saw something in Cassandra that even Cassandra didn’t know existed. A light that once kindled allows her to be a hero she never thought herself able or honorable enough to achieve.

Jason Todd: TBD

Tim Drake: TBD

Stephanie Brown:
Stephanie is the most important member of Cassandra’s new life, as she isn’t just family, she’s one of the few friends Cassandra truly has. What makes Stephanie such a great match for Cassandra is that Stephanie doesn’t hide her emotions like many of the other members of the bat family. Since reading emotions was the only way Cassandra could understand people before she had begun to be taught english, Stephanie was the first person to made sense to Cassandra. The only one Cassandra could truly understand. That understanding blossomed into a friendship which went as far as to prompting Cassandra to give up her position as Batgirl to Stephanie sho she felt was much more deserving of the role even if many of the other members of the Bat Family believed otherwise.

Damian Wayne: TBD

Alfred Pennyworth: TBD

The Joker: TBD

Slade Wilson: TBD

Dr Thomas Elliot: TBD

Harvey Dent: TBD

Basil Karlo: TBD

Helena Bertinelli: TBD

Selina Kyle:
Selina is something of an anomaly for Cassandra as she hates the way she so easily plays on the emotions of those around her. It’s something Cassandra both fears and respects as it is an ability quite similar to her own except while Cassandra utilizes hers in combat, Selina utilizes her ability in dealing with those around her on a more personal level.

History:
Origins:
Duke Thomas born to Mr. and Mrs. Thomas in Gotham City, New Jersey, and unlike most other heroes grew up an ordinary life. He was an intellectually gifted youngster though, and excelled in grade school. Duke's first encounter with the Bat had been years past, he was only fifteen or sixteen when the terrorist, Riddler, had shut off all the power in Gotham and told the city if anyone was to offer him a riddle he couldn't answer, he'd restore the power. Duke, confident at the time, had trained his mind to soon give a response to the Riddler. Coincidentally, amidst the Riddler's games, Hurricane Rene had been active, and the Thomas family had been present to rescue the billionaire. With thanks given, Bruce had went on to successfully stop the Riddler. A year later the Joker returned with a personal vendetta, and had, coincidentally once more, picked a random civilian who'd happened to be Duke, to recreate the events of Batman's parents' deaths. He'd failed to kill them, though the Joker toxin had settled deep in Duke's parents. He hadn't a chance to grasp what was happening before he'd been forced into foster care. Desperate to find his parents, Duke snuck out of the foster home he was in at the time, to search for his sewer-living parents. It was there he'd stumbled upon a plot of homeless people trying to bomb Gotham landmarks, and would be attacked by them. He'd been saved by the We Are Robin group though, who fleed shortly after rescuing him. Less than a day after, Duke had woken up in a warehouse, where he'd found his first Robin jacket as well as a cellphone he'd used to meet up with the Robins. Together, they thwarted the homeless' plan, though the second train with a bomb on it had gone off, along with Troy, a Robin who'd attempted to disable the bomb. After one of the robins was implicated in the shooting of a police officer and a robber in a convenience store, the We Are Robin movement came under fire by the public. This lead to a member of the city council, Councilwoman Noctua, implementing the Robin Laws. The Robin Laws made it illegal for anyone in Gotham to wear robin paraphernalia and encouraged police to stop and detain anyone who might be a Robin. After suffering amnesia and returning the being the bat, Bruce Wayne had approached Duke in hopes of making him his newest protoge. Unwilling to become just another Robin, Duke was gifted with a unique, yellow suit.

3. Joining Bruce Wayne as Robin

Duke is trying to adjust to his newfound metahuman abilities, having only discovered them weeks before IC (changing that a bit from the comics), settling into college and adulthood whilst trying to protect Gotham.

Powers/Abilities:
Abilities:
Duke started fighting without any training and only later received training from the "original" Robins. He is also receiving further training from Batman. He's grown to become an adept fighter. Duke is also intellectually gifted as well as an excellent engineer, he's even been working on his own personal variation of the Batmobile.

Powers:
Photokinesis: Duke is a metahuman and is only beginning to understand his powers. Duke has photo-kinetic powers that allow him to take light in through his eyes and be able to see things that other people can't. His eyes can absorb light faster than normal humans, and he can manipulate the way he processes light.
  • Retrocognition He can look back at the history of light in a room and see a few minutes of what happened before by seeing the "ghosts" of the light that hit the objects in the room.
  • Precognition: Duke can use his powers to not only see where light has been but sometimes he can see where light will be.

Parerphernalia:
After joining the We Are Robin movement, he was given a red leather jacket by the mysterious "Nest". The jacket proved to be bullet proof, even against multiple bullets at close range., and though he'd only used it in the past, Duke still has the jacket. When Duke first went to live with Bruce Wayne, he was given a new yellow and black costume that he used during both his Robin and Lark days. It included a yellow and black helmet. After training with Batman, Duke was given a upgraded version of his costume. The new suit is a slightly heavier plated version of his previous suit, with a reflective bat insignia on the chest, this was around the time he'd switched names from Lark to Signal. Asides from his suits, Duke also fights with a pair of eskrima sticks, and often uses objects around him to fight instead of packing an array of weapoins on him.

Relationships:
TBD, I wanna talk to the other writers about this first.
