Futuristic Back On The Ground

Hi Im Red

Real Life Superhero
196 Years have passed since the nuclear warfare that has left a toxic overcast on the Earth. 196 years and finally mankind is to step back on the Earth; but not for the right reasons.

Noah's Ark was created by the nations seven space station, connected together to preserve more oxygen for the few of the humans that have lived through such a time. However, over the years the oxygen levels have been faltering, and they have a suspected four months to survive on the Ark. Their only hope is to go back to Earth; the question still remains if it is survivable. And so the Chancellor has ordered to send 100 prisoners down onto Earth to see if it safe for them all to return.

Yet they are not the only survivors of the blast. Something, or someone else is out there who has believed they have come down to start a war with them.

______________________________________________________________________

Grounders: Descendants of those who have survived the war and remained on Earth. Learning to live without the technology and seeing the mutation of animals a beautiful thing rather than something to be looked down upon. They are one with the Earth and believe that it is their home, no one else should be there to inhabit it besides them.

Reapers: Mutated humans, also descendants of people who have survived the war. These people have been exposed to much toxic waste and have become mutated in appearance, they are ruthless savages who only live to feed and survive what the world has become of. Think mutated zombie without the whole 'not able to process a thought.'

Sky Beings: Prisoners of the Ark that have been sent down to Earth. They are the ones to see if the Earth is survivable for their people and have to learn to survive there on their own first.

Born and raised in space, never breathing in real air, or had the feeling of grass underfoot, never once swam or felt a summer breeze. That was all about to change however. Waking up from the sounds of guards bustling outside his door was not unusual, however when they were barging into his room, that was unusual. He didn't do a thing wrong since he's been in this god forsaken cell. At least nothing recently. One stood at the door while two more walked into his room, one holding a small box. It opened to reveal a silver cuff, with odd looking spikes on the inside that he assumed would be stabbed into his wrist he allowed them to put it on.

"I already passed Judgment," he said backing away from them, eyeing the cuff that they now held out to him. The second guard that came in the room grabbed hold of him and held one of his arms out to be cuffed. For the referance, yes, it was as painful as it looked. Bellamy didn't understand. As he was pushed out the door, it seemed that every prisoner was in the same situation. As they moved on further past the prison, he was given a jacket and a communicator. Why he neede these things was a mystery to him.

They pushed him into a pod like room, sat him down and strapped him in. During this process, Bell was able to pick pocket the gun off of him and hide it in the waistband of his pants. Looking around in the pod, he saw a few familiar faces, others just looked like normal people. Once everyone was in, no one said a word, a display screen had shown on the far wall above some prisoners heads. The Chancellors face appeared on the screen. Bell had to keep himself from rolling his eyes.

"You are all probably wondering why you're here. Well, the council and I have made the decision to send the people of the Ark home. However, we do not yet know if it is habitable. This is the reason for the cuff, each spike tells us something different, it monitors your vitals and tells us how earth conditions effect you. And if you die, then we will know. If you survive, all crimes shall be pardoned and you will be free men and women again. Thank you for the cooperation."

After that, the whole pod began to groan and grumble, shaking them from side to side. This should be fun if the take off was already this rough. Bell was holding onto the straps for dear life just anticipating the whole pod to explode. However, after the first few minutes, the shaking stopped, and they were on a direct course to the ground....just like that.

Born on the nuclear wasteland known as Earth. ALex had born and raised to survive and adapt to the hellhole. He's been the leader of his settlement for a good 15 years now and has made them one of the strongest people in the surrounding area. Alex, his son, and a few of his loyal followers are just returning from a meeting with the other clans about a peace treaty. It was a normal bright day when they returned and they were only a mile away from their settlement when they stopped for a rest after traveling for over a 5 miles.

They looked out in the distance and saw a strange machine drop from the sky and when they landed it caused the area to have a light shake. Alex and his followers ran towards the machine while his son went to gather up some more people and bring them towards Alex. They hid behind some small hills to see who or what would come out of the pod. Everyone else stay behind while Alex stood on top of the hill to see who would be coming out.

Xan was on the ground in a wooded area. His back cracked and he made a loud,"Ooofff!" As one of the 4 reapers that were surrounding him threw him up against a giant oak. He fell on his stomach and forced himself on all fours. He spat blood at the nearest reaper's feet. They were deformed and hideous and he knew all they wanted was to eat his flesh for their own survival. He forced himself to his feet as they got closer.

He looked down at his bare chest, already scraped up a little from the brawl. He would not take a beating and be defeated. He refused to go down without a fight.

The closest reaper charged at him with a fist. It went in for a right hook and Xan blocked it with his right forearm. He balled his left hand into a tight fist and delivered 4 strong blows to the mutants chest before one of the others was able to grab him from behind.

Xan struggled as he was lifted off the ground by the beast. He whipped his head back and knocked the reaper in the jaw with his head, hard. The reaper was started and dropped Xan. Xan fell on his knees and got to his feet drawing the two handed broadsword from the fur sheath on his back. He took it in a two handed grip and licked his lips, bloodthirsty. He swung the giant blade with great skill as if it was an extension of his own arm. The four reapers lost, well they more than lost. Xan slaughtered them.

He now stood in the center of a circle of chaos and despair. The reaper's body parts where scattered around him dismembered and butchered, cruelly. His sword dripped with their blood and his hands, chest, and the outside of his cloak were splattered with it. He admired the work he'd done before cleaning his blade the best he could and stealing the reaper's supplies.

The interloper was quick for the draw-but Robin already had his weapon ready to fire. "No sir, I think you ought to drop that haphazard pice of metal and start giving me some answers." The hood on the assailant's face blocked any view of the man, so Robin wouldn't know who he was shooting at until they were dead. He stood his ground, making sure no trace of fear was in his eyes as he started down the other man. "Who are you and how the hell do you exist here?" he questioned, his fingers ready to give way at any moment.

During the whole process of the movement from his cell to his pod, Jacobi only had two questions "can I at least have my pills?" followed by "am I at least going somewhere more comfortable than that goddamned cell?" Jacobi knew that the answer to the first question was "no" but it never hurt to ask. It also never hurt to sneak in some of your own. As for the second question, just looking at the pod he knew he was going to want his cell back pretty soon. The guards handed Jacobi his stuff after cramming him into the pod. Among the grumbling and shaking of the pod just from take off Jacobi could only think "well, I'll either die as we're landing or I'll survive the fall and have to survive the rest of this Earth place. Hopefully the other prisoner's will be resourceful enough that I won't have to do anything to contribute."

Xan placed his sword back in its sheath. He went over to the dead reapers supplies and placed them in a heavily used homemade backpack. It was made of a thick hide of dear skin. He threw the braided cords over his shoulders and under his cloak. He pulled the hood over his head and pulled the edges of the leather together to cover himself. The ground nearby shook violently. Xan fell onto the ground fearing an earthquake but the ground stopped rumbling after a few seconds. He debated on whether or not to explore where the quake had come from. His curiosity got the better off him and he ran towards the area where the tremors had come from. He decided the ground was taking too long so he expertly climbed up a great oak and swung from it's branches and onto the branches of another tree. He was doing acrobatics from tree to tree and smiling happily the wind in his face. He let out a satisfied call,"Yi! Yi! Yi! Yi! Eeee!"

He immediately stopped his calling seeing the ships down below. He looked at them full of curiosity and wonder. The creatures on the ground looked like other humans but there ships were nothing he'd ever seen before. Not from pictures of the old world and definitely nothing from this new one. He was afraid and stayed crouched above the other from his vantage pint in the trees.

Jane blacked out from the moment she was taken from her cell and set into the pod where she was seated and strapped down. Earth was son her mind...she'd always wanted to go there. Sure it was a wasteland, but it was her wasteland...the home of her people. Knowing she was going to Earth meant so much to her...a dream come true, possibly something to kill, and most of all, a chance to prove herself. After several moments of the pod shaking, she recovered form her fidgeting as the pod smoothed out.

Cass looked round as her cell door opened and a pair of guards walked in. Next thing she knew one of them had yanked on her forearm, pulling it out and the other had produced this silver bracelety-thing which he promptly clamped down on her wrist with something sharp digging into her from it. Her whole body winced at it and she started cursing in her head. Man that hurt like hell!

Before she knew it they were marching her out of the cell and down the hall, along with a lot of other prisoners.... What in heck's name was going on here? They headed into what looked like a pod room..yet it couldn't be could it? Cass looked around as she tried to work out what was going on and they strapped her into a seat.

As the screen flickered into life and the chancellor began talking, she listened in slight shock, jolting out of it as the rough take off occurred. "Earth..." Cass murmured to herself with a small smile on her face.

The sound of gaurd's footsteps jolted Alex awake. He laid still for a moment thinking it was just some guards found regular patrol. However, the moment they opened his door Alex kung fu kicked up onto his feet ready to attack. They were suppose to leave him alone, but the guards often came into prisoner's cells to beat them which made Alex hostile. One of the gaurds took out a metal rod and swung it at Alex. He ducked and landed a blow in the gaurd's stomack taking the rod as he did so. Turning around, he prepared for the next one however he was too late. By the time he came around another guard had tased him on the back.

Several other guards came into Alex's cell and dragged him away strapping him down on one of the seats inside a strange room. Coming in and out of consciousness, Alex managed to catch glimpses of the message given to all the prisoners. This was insane, they could all die down there. No one knew what was down below, it could very well simply kill them all. They had to be desperate to pull something like this, thought Alex as he finally came back to his senses. After all, no one knows what's down on Earth.
