Umm, roar?
For 300 years everything is at peace, creatures are living in harmony, and crops are growing healthy. It seems like everything is perfect, well only for 300 years. After those 300 years, the Draczi, a dead volcano errupts, signalling for the end of the peaceful days. In the first day, goblins will start spawning. Orcs came second, then a full lot of monsters starts to appear. It continues for a hundred years, and in the last 20 years, four dragons having four different elements that affects their abilities, wrecks havoc on the world's surface. Some monsters are as intelligent as humans and they have one thing in mind, to wipe out the humankind and rule the world for themselves. People calls this event as The Ascend. The cycle had gone four times since the beginning of The Ascend.
Azazel, a great demon who chose to take side with humanity, made a haven for the rest of the survivors. Though, his reign was cut short as a group of powerful demons attacked him. After that incident no one knows if he survived or got killed. Hundred years of fighting against demon and surprisingly, a divine being gifted the humans powers to defend their world. People developed supernatural powers and their life becomes longer. The kingdom built a camp that trains people with great potentials to battle the demons that try to take over the world. The camp is divided in 2 categories, the attack and defense category. There are five classes on each, S-class, A-class, B-class, C-class, D-class, all refferring to their ability and achievements gained.
A year has passed since Character A has trained in the camp, but because of his/her laid-back personality, she/he still doesn't show that she/he can withstand a battle with the monsters if it breaks out, though mentors see a lot of potential in him/her.
Character B is regarded as one of the most talented trainee that has ever set foot in the camp. His/her skills can be compared even to the experienced warriors. Because of her/his study habits, he/she is also knowledgable to monster's strengths and weaknesses.
The slow progress of the trainees caught the attention of mentors. They are forced to make pairings on the trainees to speed-up their advance in skill. In the announcement. Character A is paired with Character B.
What will happen if one of the best is paired with the worst?
