  CHURCH OF TRANSFORMATION.​

  
  

  

  
  

  

  
  While not an actual church, the Church of Transformation is a place of worship and communion for its inner circle of members. While its sole building resides in El Paso, Texas, hundreds of preachers across the nation and missionaries spread the teachings of the cult. While the teachings of the church promote certain ideals that are easily accepted to the general public, the actual inner circle of the church is a lot different and nefarious. Only the inner circle is allowed into the actual Church which not only serves as a place of worship but also where they eat, sleep, and train. Much like in the days of old, sacrifices are practiced and have long surpassed animal sacrifices. Lower ranked members are sent out to retrieve humans for these sacrifices and usually the homeless are preyed upon, with some members driving states away to lessen the suspicion. A pact of secrecy is made with these members and if they are caught by law enforcement, they physically cannot blame or mention the church.
  
  The inner circle is compromised of individuals who have devoted their life to the cult and more importantly, Jakaal. They are handpicked after years of service and trained in the true mission that Jakaal has planned. The demon has learned not to make the same pacts with the original priests' families, but with his new power he has bestowed certain powers to his close followers especially those who he has sent after his harbringers since the pact prevents him from interacting directly.

  The great False God of humanity, once a faceless shadow but is now the bringer of doom upon humanity with his minions by his side. Sacrifices and prayers fuel him and have been the backbone of his power, but the final key lies in those he is now hunting down. Once they are returned to the church and his power has reached its peak, the final sacrifices will be made and Jakaal will finally be able to cross over into the mortal plane.
  
  Jakaal's growing power reflects in his harbringers in various ways. While they gain different destructive abilities, they also gain certain weaknesses and lose more of their humanity as time progresses.

The Hiroshi family line originates from Japan who immigrated to the west in hopes for a better life. They encountered most of the troubles one would expect from being non-natives who couldn't speak the languages of the places they moved to.

However, a point of pride for the Hiroshi bloodline is their stubborn tenacity. Despite overwhelming odds and countless tribulations, the Hiroshi family pushed on without faltering. They were long lived and always full of vigor. No matter the conditions they found themselves in.

At some point, a member of the Hiroshi family found success in the West seemingly overnight and thus kicked off their current success. With their tenacity to continue pushing forward in spite of adversity and a little bit of luck, the bloodline seemed to continue succeding exponentially through dozens of generations.

Military Training-
Daniel has gone on multiple tours and quickly rose through the ranks for his intelligence and prowess on the field. He finished his military duties at the rank of staff sergeant and continues to do physical conditioning as a civilian. He is highly skilled in CQC, marksmanship, survival tactics, teamwork, and leadership. He is considered an elite soldier who has won multiple awards and medals for his service.

Tech Savvy -
Daniel was raised from birth to be savvy in most things relevant to business and technology. He is by no means an established expert in the field but he knows enough to be dangerous and won't be fooled easily.

Modern Nobility-
While his bloodline is of humble origin, Daniel was born into wealth. As a result, he is well versed in the practices of high society. This also includes how to handle said wealth and where its application is best suited.

He learned etiquette, eloquence, manipulation, patience, emotional control, empathy, public relations, discipline, and respect. He is used to having his words picked apart by all within earshot and the weight they may carry. Especially if the wrong people overheard.


Natural leader-
Daniel was praised for his leadership qualities during his time in the military. His physical prowess allowed him to go toe to toe with people far more experienced then him but it was his ability to lead others that set him apart from the other soldiers. He is both charismatic and inspirational and people will gravitate towards him almost instinctively.

Hardening-
Daniel is capable of hardening his body to a level comparable to Titanium. His body becomes incredibly dense, heavy, and his skin becomes ore-like in appearance. His speed and agility is affected by the change but it is a negligible trade off in comparison to the benefits.

WEAKNESSES:

Daniel's powers are reactionary. While his reflexes and speed are leagues greater than they have ever been, he still needs to react in time to defend himself. Deception, subterfuge, sabotage, and surprise attacks/ambushes can still take him down. Being tricked into lowering his guard or taking a lethal shot while he is distracted will bring him down like any other person.


Also anyone with speed comparable to his own will be able to overwhelm him and his Hardening ability has a limit. Even while hardened he can still feel pain, though to a lesser degree.


Personality:

Daniel does his best to break down stereotypes. Specifically, the stigma that is attached to those who were born better off. Those were born into the lap of luxury like he was. He is a kind soul with a heart of gold to match and he tries to show that as often as he can to the less fortunate.


Daniel is an honor-driven individual who detests cruelty and injustice. In the past, he was someone who hated witnessing it but stood idly as it happened for fear of reprimand. His time in the military taught him that actions, do indeed, speak louder than words. This has made him more headstrong, bold, and daring. One might even say he is more impulsive now. However, it has turned him into a steadfast ally that people involuntarily rely on.


This also means that Daniel has a very trusting nature. That doesn't mean he can be easily fooled. The reason being that while he is very trusting, he is not naive. His years dealing with the intricacies of modern day nobility, wealth and all the power games that it entails have made him cautious and calculated. A good judge of character. His issue stems from the fact that he always gives people the benefit of the doubt and that comes back to bite him on the ass every now and then.

BACKSTORY:


Daniel Hiroshi was born and raised in the lap of luxury in America. The Hiroshi family was well-known as one of the most influential families the U.S. and while they paled in comparison to the major families like the Kennedys, they still commanded a healthy amount of respect wherever they went. Daniel was raised in the environment of material pleasures and ulterior motives. From an early age, he learned to observe people with a careful eye and judge accordingly. He learned how to speak eloquently, mask his motives, and give out intricately veiled threats when necessary.


This by no means meant he enjoyed this life. His parents were kind individuals and always very respectful to others. No matter how high or low class they were. Daniel disliked having to witness "the mask" come over their expressions when attending gatherings of powerful people and he hated that he played along even more.


His family often frequented well known cities and mingled with people not as well off as them but decent folk. It wasn't until they took a business trip down to the intercities that Daniel got a good look at how radically different things could be. While he never left the car, just the ride there was enough to make the young teen shudder at the time.


This was also the catalyst for his desire to see more. He understood the hardships and stresses of wealth very well. The power and responsibilities that came with it. The feeling of having knives constantly pressed against your back, just waiting for you to falter. It was the hardships of the poor and downtrodden that he didn't understand.


So, against his family's wishes, he joined the military as soon as he was able. It was a rather impulsive decision but Daniel wanted to learn. Through the military, he could meet people from all walks of life. The social barriers fall to pieces and the stigmas disappear because they are all suffering in hell together. It was there that Daniel became truly enlightened. As a soldier, he learned more about the perspectives life had to offer than he ever imagined he could from his high standing in the world.


And he imagined a lot.


Once his training was complete and he successfully completed three, three year tours, Daniel came back to civilian life as a changed man. While his family still didn't approve of his decision, they approved of the results. Daniel stood taller now. He had something that he lacked during his earlier years. He had pride. Pride not because of his status but pride that he felt he earned through his hard work and experiences.


Regardless of how Tenka, his father, may have felt about his military escapades, he decided to capitalize on his son's newfound sense of greater responsibility. He gave Daniel full control of some of the smaller businesses owned or sponsored by the Hiroshi family and their assets. He has spent the last several years growing those businesses. He made frequent visits to make sure everything was kept up to standard and to make sure his employees were satisfied with how things were ran.
