It seemed like centuries since hell had broken its way onto earth. Any memory of civilization from before seemed to disappear along with the hope that humans would survive. As the saying goes, it was every man for himself.
The year was 2050 when demons burst forth from deep underground. With their incredibly strong powers and hunger for human flesh, they terrorized and killed over half of the population. It wasn't long before the government collapsed and society disappeared. Cities fell apart and food began to dwindle as stores were ransacked and farms were left unmanned. Humans had given up, well, almost all humans. There were a few who still had hope they could survive. There were still those that fought against the demons that tore apart their homes and their family.
Are you the last remaining fighters of humanity, or are you the ones terrorizing them?
Character Types:
Demons are deadly and cruel. They are not known to show mercy, not even for their own kind. They only trusted one instinct, their own, and they aren't afraid to attack those who oppose them. Though they aren't immortal or indestructible, they do have one supernatural ability that makes them a terrifying foe, not including the ability that allows them to turn their form into that of a human. They all have some weakness that differ from human to human, but they do not necessarily have to be items of the church (holy water, crosses, etc.).
Humans, though much weaker than demons, are strong-willed and sturdy. They do not have a unnatural power, but they do have one skill that sets them out from the rest. They can form bonds much easier than a demon, which helps them join into groups. This can sometimes backfire however as demons can hide within their ranks.
Rules:
1. God complexes and Mary Sues are not allowed. Try to keep the realism.
2. You may create more than character. Though you may have one main, you may make NPCs to further the plot.
3. If you wish to harm another character, please warn them beforehand.
4. Your character must have a background. It does not necessarily have to be a complete tragedy, but it is good to have something they went through when the demons struck. If you need any references, just pm me.
5. Cursing, gore, death, intimate relationships, and other dark situations are to be expected so it rated M. Still, do not abuse it.
6. Have fun!
