I am the Deathkitten! Fear me!
Much of this rp still needs to be fleshed out, but this is what I have so far. Please let me know if you are interested in this rather dark rp.
Purpose: To accelerate human evolution, in order to avoid the same fate happening again. Also to test the laws of the human condition, exposing them to varying levels and types of stress and situations.
History of the World:
Up until the year 3000, things went as they always do. Some civilizations grew, some failed, and technology boomed as technology does.

The “God’s Playground”:
As they named it, this is a place that no one inside of it knows where it is. There are no known edges. No known boundaries. It is as though it is a country all in its own, complete with oceans and lakes. The “center” can always find you when it wants to, shifting to your location, so that they can take you in for “treatment and research”. As they like to say, “Its just a little check-up, little blessed one.” Aside from the check-ups, the people inside are completely on their own, with their powers and wits to guide them. The land contains all they would need to survive, along with some marked animals as well.
A higher member of They: “This is the time. This is the place. In our hands are the Blessed few who shall lead us into a new era of awakening. They shall cleanse the Earth, and we will pave the road for them with our bodies so that they may find it easier to walk. We shall give ourselves unto them, and unto God, as it is his will. They will lead themselves into the light, where only the holy chosen of the Blessed will be able to walk. Those survivors, those shining beacons of God’s will, will rid us of the sin that has been wrought. A new era. A new species. A new beginning. This is the way! This is GOD’S way!”

History of the World:
Up until the year 3000, things went as they always do. Some civilizations grew, some failed, and technology boomed as technology does.
- 2015: Present IRL
- 2025: United States falls due to failing relations with other countries, and due to the increasing number of wars with the Middle East. They were bound to become truly deadly eventually. Anarchy ensues.
- 2026: Most of the Middle East deemed unsuitable for life, due to Nuclear radiation.
- 2032: After seven years of anarchy, other countries take over parts. Canada takes the Northern states. England takes the East coast. Mexico takes mostly just Texas and a bit of Nevada and California. The rest continued to be debated and was still in anarchy.
- 2050: 25 years after the fall of the US, the debated territory has created their own government, The Striped States. They call themselves that both as a reminder of their past, and also as a jibe towards the former United States.
- 2094: After many more wars, Russia falls, and falls hard. Surprisingly, not much anarchy ensues.
- 2105: Finland happily takes over the slice of fallen Russia nearest to Europe, about 1 slice, out of fourteen.
- 2113: Germany takes over Poland. Again.
- 2114: Senegal, The Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Togo, and Benin are all taken over by Nigeria. Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Congo, Rwanda, and Burundi all are taken over by The Democratic Republic of the Congo. North Korea finally pisses everyone off enough to get bombed, and no longer exists. South Korea now called Korea Island.
- 2116: Japan begins to be overwhelmed by unstable weather due to the world firing all kinds of environment harming weapons, and as a result starts a landgrab wherever they are able. This also results in massive damage to many other countries on the coast. Much of Mexico and Central America is devastated by waves and earthquakes.
- 2120: Massive earthquakes set off all the volcanoes on Earth. The countries of Earth go into hiding while the ash settles.

- 3000: These nations exist now, and the coloring still needs to be explained: The Striped States, The Dynasty of the Dragon, South Korea, Japanese Empire, New California Republic, The Great Northern Kingdom, The Mexican Islands, Brazil, Paraguay, Tibet, France, British Empire, German Empire, various African countries, various island nations, New Zealand.

The Names:
- Blessed
Those who are marked are called this because of the idea that they are blessed by God to create the perfect race. Meant to exterminate the current level of mankind and start anew. Those chosen by the the Saints are called Prophets. Being above all but the Saints, they can demand anything, from women to objects to information on every exit and everyone inside, however they can only be told what the “lesser” they’re demanding of knows. Every two years at maximum, the Blessed are compelled to fight, to determine whom are holier, fit to be the new model of humanity. During said events, a number of staff of varying kinds are chosen to commit ritual suicide in a ring in which they’ll fight. Aside from this, which is organized by the Saints, there is a heavy penalty for any but another Blessed or authorized They drawing blood from a Blessed; intense seizures until the subject dies from one cause or another. Due to the nature of the Blessed, and the trauma they endure, each has a lethal Trigger. Something that sets them onto a rampage of many varying degrees, from having a blackout, a murderous rage that includes raping and mutilating everything around them, to a simple running-and-screaming and ending with curling up in a corner.
[*]Beasts
- The animals that have been marked in the same way as the people, used for tasks of burden of many various types. Considered objects almost, has no gifts they can use, unless chosen by a Blessed to be a personal companion. Beasts are as much a subject of enhancement as the Blessed, and results in the same kind of fractured psyche. Especially since a great majority of the Beasts are just as sentient as any human. Most regard themselves as greater than normal animals and equal only to Blessed, resulting in great disdain in performing the duties they are forced to do.
[*]Fallen
- Those who are marked who have “fallen from the grace of God” and lost their minds. Considered lesser even than Beasts. All who fight against the Prophets or Saints or escape are regarded as Fallen. A Fallen has simply two choices; they either get hunted to death, or they are strong enough to defeat the Grim Reapers sent to kill them. Upon the death of the Grim Reaper, it is asked of them that they kill all witnesses as the Grim Reaper would have, then they can “Return home with your grace and more,” as a Blessed safe from the culling every two years.
[*]They
- The researches and “followers of God” who refer to themselves only as an ambiguous “They”. They do not even use names towards one another, but seem to still know who they are talking to. Always wear a mask to cover their face, and none of their skin is allowed to show outside of certain places deemed holy, including places designated for mating and bathing. If any of their skin is seen, they are required to not only commit suicide but kill the ones who saw them, and then kill themselves with the same sacred blade they use to murder them.
[*]Angels
- The security guards who are as fanatic or more so than the scientists they guard. They are heavily augmented by the stable sciences, putting them physically on par with the Blessed though lacking unique abilities. They are armed with blades and saws and spears, as well as clubs and hammers. The Angels have daily tournaments to determine the greatest among them, though they are not allowed to kill each other as the Blessed are.
[*]Demons
- Blessed’s whose body rejected the alterations but still survived. Mostly the old generations of Blessed’s, though new ones are occasionally made. Like Blessed’s they almost seem incapable of dying by traditional means including aging and disease, but are even more animalistic and absurdly powerful. Though supposedly lacking gifts and intellect, their physical augmentations are ludicrously inhuman. If one escapes, a facility has its nuclear reactor detonated immediately, no matter the cost. Typically at least 15 feet tall. Can grow to nearly thirty feet.
[*]Grim Reapers
- Ordinary humans who have been put through such levels of augmentation that they survive only by massively extensive body modifications. Nearly all to all organs inside them have been replaced by machines, all muscle fiber with mechanical parts, etc. Some even have limbs replaced with tools like saws, blades and spears. Only one step away from a full blown mech, which are considered heretical. They are They’s ultimate security measure, and slowly being improved to be able to battle with the Demons. Unlike all other staff, they are clad in grey and are used to squash any outside resistance with a heavy hand. This includes any who see the act of killing the Fallen… Which has resulted in nearly entire towns being wiped out. Can be directly mind controlled by the Saints. Typically at least 9 feet tall. Can reach nearly 11 feet tall.
[*]The Center
- The laboratory/town where all the work happens. Ruled by the Saints, it is the greatest symbol of power to be seen, and can be seen from anywhere… Even when it moves to the far reaches of the land. The Center can travel anywhere, through a process akin to particles pulling away and coming back together at the destination, creating the effect of appearing first as a “Ghost City” for a day before solidifying. All pass through the Center, though not all end up remaining there, others moving to different facilities.
[*]The Deliverance
- Those Angels charged with finding more of the Blessed are called The Deliverance, and are seen in town exactly three days before The Center comes to take the Blessed. They follow nearly the same rules as They about being covered at all times, except only their eyes and forehead can be seen. The Deliverance also obsessively clean their stark, shockingly white clothing three times a day til they are the same stark white a when they left. If their clothing is torn, they must patch it with black fabric. Once they return to The Center, their flesh in those spots is severely burned by a heavy iron brand. Their clothing is then repaired and returned to them.
[*]The Saints
- The leading force behind The Center, the Saints once chosen never leave a designated building at the very middle of the Center. They know more than would seem humanly possible, even for the Blessed, down to the very thoughts of the most mentally powerful Demons. The Saints are not known to die but every nearly thousand years. It is said that they are the ones that move the Center, as no other known location is capable of it. They seal themselves deep in the very core of the Center and only ever interact with few chosen Blesseds who demonstrates true faith. They also display a strange immunity to all Blessed powers. Has only mentally spoken to the Prophets, the Demons and the Grim Reapers. None others have ever communicated with the Saints. They can directly possess Grim Reapers, making them literally invincible.
[*]The Prophets
- Those amongst the Blessed who show true faith are arisen to a new level, their powers expanding to massive levels, as well as being nearly as strong as Demons. These Blessed do, however, experience rapid aging. They deliver the word of the Saints to the staff and other Blessed, and they are revered as second only to the Saints. Typically even more fanatical than any They or Angel.
