Once upon a time, there was a fantastic place. It held the mightiest of hero's and the most diabolical villains. Each held their own against the other, always seeing the hero rising as the victor.
It came to pass, that this simply would not do. So a ' Master' cast his Hand across the lands, giving the evil of this place unfettered power. Slowly, lands began to fall, as the tyrants rose and crushed their arch- nemesis. Finally, even the most powerful land: The Mushroom Kingdom was torn down.
It seemed that all was lost, but even in all the darkness and defeat, there existed the need to fight on. In this time of need, hero's from across the world have gathered their forces in secret, planning one last final stand.
For their fallen allies.
To defeat their rivals.
To make things right.
