"The witches have escaped," Guards yelled, frantic footsteps echoed through the jail as the group looked high and low for the infamous witches who had caused the corruption so long ago. "Search ever crevice and whol, they couldn't have used magic, it's warded!" no matter how much they looked or where they looked, there wasn't a single sign of Arwen and Cedonia.

"Alert the royal guard, and station in every city of the Sylvan and Parlton kingdoms!" The general shouted, torch flickering in the darkness of the cells.

"The royals must be warned."

--

This is where we're starting. The Parlton kingdom is holding an official investigation, and our characters somehow end up overhearing this. How? I'll leave that up to you. I enjoy giving freedom.

"The witches have escaped. If you have seen anything suspicious, please let us know, any information at all helps." The characters are now drafted into this investigation, whether they were caught showing off powers, or show strong capability in combat or intelligence, and now it's up to them to find the two witches and lift the curse of the corruption once more.

We'll start in the Parlton palace, where the group has been invited by the royal family (whether the brothers wanted it or not) for a feast to start their adventure.

Virgil could understand his brother attending, but why did his father invite everyone else to the investigation? More members meant a higher chance of something going on and the potential for one of them to get kidnapped. The last thing he wanted was to give the witches leverage over the kingdom.

He knew little about other guests save for the Fae Prince, the first human ruler of the Sylvan Kingdom. Though he didn't know the exact circumstances for how the man came to be royalty, Virgil respected his position in society. It wasn't every day that that the Sylvan Kingdom accepted an outsider.

Virgil paced around the dining hall as the servants brought out a litany starter dishes. Freshly baked bread, aged cheeses, and foie gras covered one side of the table while pies and pastries covered the other. Each seat had a wine glass placed in front of them while an unopened bottle sat in the middle of the table. Despite the prince's disapproval to such a grand gesture, his father insisted on making today's dinner memorable.

That man will use any excuse to throw a party,
Virgil thought, shaking his head.

Nonetheless, his father's heart was in the right place and food tended to be a good way to get people to relax and dole out information that they would normally keep to themselves.

"Prince Virgil!" one of the stewards announced, "the guests have arrived!"

Corvo DaleMonis

The party, food, and drinks were one of the many things that Corevo could always get behind. But the reason behind the feast was not one. As he sat in his greenhouse wondering why all this started happening. Why did they have to throw a party for this? Not that he was complaining. He thought to himself while feeding the birds. The witches have escaped which can’t be good. Having a get-together to discuss information with the other kingdom was not a bad idea either so long as he got to enjoy himself a little bit Corvo did mine. But all this was soon interrupted by one of his attendants. Letting him know that the party was about to start and the guests would be arriving. Letting out a sigh he left the greenhouse and started left the greenhouse and making his way to the dining hall. “Well at least me and the old man at least we get along when it comes to parties.”

Once he entered the dining hall, he sold the servants were putting the finishing touches together for the festivities. Then he looked over to where his brother was giving a nod of acknowledgment. Walking over to the dining table. He picked up a glass, and then he
signaled for one of the servants to pour him a drink. looking back at his brother with his drinking hand now.
“Try to enjoy the party, Virgil. It may not be on the best of subjects but a party is still a party. I know I will.” Taking a swig of his drink. Then walking around the dining room taking a closer look at all of the dishes they were offering. as he waited for the guests to arrive. Wanting to greet them in a festive mood. knowing what they’re about to talk about is not a pleasant subject.

Eldis/Sylvando

Eldis sat on the balcony with a glass of wine whilst a figure garbed in black relayed to him the ongoing efforts of the Sylvan Black Ops division in finding the missing witches. Swirling the alcohol around a bit before taking a small sip. The young prince squinted at the view from his seat, a stretch of flowers tended to by gardeners. He had come here as per the wishes of his parents to assist in the location and subjugation of the missing witches. Once the Sylvan Spy had finished their brief report, Eldis dismissed them. Standing up and downing the entire glass of sparkling wine. The prince fixed his collar before reentering the party which was currently filled with nobles flattering each other or making back room alliances. Naturally he himself was guilty of doing this but usually had far more unsavory cards to bring to the negotiation table.

A trio of young noble girls in poofy dresses approached him, likely recognizing him as Sylvando the Bard. His identity as Prince Eldis was less known due to his rather low profile compared to his two more prominent siblings. Taking up a lute from a resting musician. A smiling Sylvando decided to entertain these ladies to pump them for information. Many looked down on the information network of noble girls. Strumming the lute to a rather romantic tune. Sylvando made sure to observe their facial expressions for signs that they were won over. Any crease or tightness in their cheeks was quickly smoothed out by Sylvando laying on the honey laden words. Finishing his little ditty and pouring drinks for the small crowd that had gathered. Sylvando carefully put out conversational topics that would lead to discussion on the witch situation.

The room was only about half full when Jomei entered. He made sure that its occupants’ eyes slipped off of him as he followed what could only be his best friend’s playing. Only the most observant noticed him weave through the crowd that had gathered, stopping beside the Sylvan prince. Jomei made sure to wrap his magic tightly around himself, but he was sure the keen eyed shapeshifter likely sensed the magic he was drawing around the three ladies in front.

Jomei waited for the best time. He let the girls talk about any information they had, but when their own worries started to bubble, he intervened before Eldis could.

Revealing himself, he waved a hand dramatically, “Aha! I see you have found the witches, Sylvando!” The three’s brightly colored gowns were suddenly black, with pointed witches hats on their heads. He made sure they looked especially beautiful, as to not shame the girls. “Perhaps I can capture one in a dance?” He offered his hand to the three. “With Sylvando’s music, who can resist?” He asked the small crowd, who cheered in response.
