dayyaan grew up in karachi self-studying every day to make up for the subpar military-run public schools of the time, picking up whatever skill he was interested in at the moment while staying on top of his grades and keeping up with the cream of the crop. his ability to set his mind to any task and accomplish it on his own proved to be a fundamental asset in his educational career, where he stood out as an exceptional talent even amongst the over-saturated engineering programs in pakistan. while working towards his undergraduate, dayyaan married his girlfriend of two years, an ambitious software engeering student he met in his first year.
upon completing his doctorate in aerospace engineering, dayyaan went on to work as an astronautical engineer and designer at CNSA, effortlessly making a name for himself in a foreign country through his sheer intellect and confident sociability. after six years, however, dayyaan and his wife filed for divorce after finding that they'd grown irreparably apart, seeing as he'd been working abroad for the majority of her pregnancy and initial year of parenthood. his ex-wife secured a job in america and gained custody of their son while he was residing in beijing, and with no attachments left in pakistan and a deep desire for a change of pace, dayyaan switched to a payload specialist role, accompanying the equipment he designed on space missions to make sure it was properly installed, tested, and operated.
family history
while his parents worked day and night in textile factories to fund his grandmother's hospital expenses, dayyaan spent the first eight years of his life in dubai with his wealthy uncle and cousins, only moving back to karachi once his parents' debts had been settled and they took him back in. he grew up with a large family who gave him the classic "youngest cousin" treatment which only fueled his vengeful nature once he got to middle school, but also taught him to constantly stay on his toes, so he supposed it could have been worse ("ha, who says i'm a pessimist? i'll fuck 'em up!").
