History up until 2001 was the same as it is in our world. Things change however September 11th 2001. 9/11 was thwarted, the culprits captured, and evidence pointed to the president George W. Bush. He was impeached, his entire cabinet removed and the democratic party took the remainder of his term. Unfortunately they were no better. They constantly flopped on attempts to repair the damaged relations between nations. Not to mention the technologies they chose to invest in failed miserably. By the 2008 election america was tired of Democrats & Republicans having lost faith in both. The 2008 presidential election made history when for the first time ever an independant party won the election. Maxwell J. Atori became the 44th president of the united states.
President atori had universal approval ratings and he rebuilt the alliances between the U.S ,Israel, and the United Nations. But he also showed the world that america wasn't going down. Things escalated, nuclear fire seemed the wait on a hairs breath. Then the pulse came. All at once the almost 100,000 nuclear weapons in the world became nothing but big rockets. The worlds nuclear reactors turned off and all of earths radioactive material and waste was turned to salt. No one knew what happened, the pulse came from deep space. Yet a new problem was just over the horizon.
At the end of 2008 the alpha project was initiated, right as the world began reeling from the energy shortages. All of the sudden every country was joining in, the nuclear superpowers were disarmed and the world saw its chance at rising up from under their thumb. In 2009 the U.N disbanded, in 2010 isreal fell. Iran, Egypt, Saudi arabia, and Libya united to become a new oil superpower. China united with Korea, the Philippians, and Japan forming the great east. Russia gained many of the european countries from the fractured U.N.
The U.S though hurt by the energy crisis maintained its strength due to the ocean between it and the rest of the world. Hawaii was captured by the Great East but the islanders are still fighting to this day. It is now 2018. The alpha project has begun a weeklong tour through the public eye before they are to be deployed throughout the world to crush conflicts. They have spent 10 years gaining their powers, training themselves to use them, and getting ready to "save the world" apparently the survivors were more successful than initially thought. One way or another the world is about to change.
