Realistic or Modern All Sins... Stone x Serein RP

Serein

farewell! i go to find the Sun!
Dacy sat on the edge of her bed and stared blankly at her pastel yellow walls--which she hates, but she has not found the motivation to paint them another color. Her nerves had eaten at her until she found it pointless to try to fall back asleep, so she reverted to watching the light from her windows dance around her room. When she first moved to the city, she bought almost every curtain she could find in an attempt to block the outside light from coming in, but none of them worked; down in Georgia, the only times her room was not dark at night was when the moon was full, or when someone pulled into her driveway.

However, she has come to like it.

The blonde's eyes flickered to her phone when it began to ring, signaling her alarm, and with a sign she stood up and frowned at the loud creek her bed made in protest to the shifting weight. It was six in the morning, and that gave her two hours to get ready, eat, and drive to work. Dacy has always been "blessed," as her father would say, with timing skills, or maybe he told her that so frequently it eventually became a strong suit.

She unconsciously began to think about her father as she showered, although she does not particularly like pondering on him too much. He is a hard man who always seems to be scrutinizing the ones he towers over, which most of the time he is, but the townsfolk down in Georgia admire his radical Christian ways. Dacy respects him, but he was a mediocre father in her eyes.

She stepped out of the shower and wrapped her purple towel around her torso, pulling herself out of her thoughts and directing her attention to getting ready. She quickly dressed herself in a light pink blouse that tucked into a black pencil skirt, and she straightened her hair in a last-minute decision. She slipped on her black heels and skipped into the kitchen to eat her usual Cliff bar for breakfast, and she gathered her things--her phone, wallet, laptop, and notebook--into a small, black bag before grabbing her keys and walking out of her apartment.

Luckily her apartment was not far from Luminosity Innovations, where she was the new intern. Dacy could honestly say she was nervous; she never dreamed of working somewhere other than her local diner back in Georgia--hell, she's worked there since she was fifteen, and she became embarrassed over her lack of experience.

She pulled into a parking space and quickly grabbed her backpack before she locked her car and sped-walked toward the building. She bit her lip as she neared the door, repeating, Smile, look confident, to herself.

Dacy opened the glass doors with a light-hearted smile, and she carefully meandered around the building, trying to remember the directions that were e-mailed to her.
