Realistic or Modern All in the Family - Character Sheets

1. All characters must be discussed in order to ensure that they fit in with the family dynamic that has been set in place before they are posted here.
2. Please try to post frequently. No one expects 10 posts a day or anything, but if you can maybe one every 24-48 hours or so just so that things can keep rolling an no one is waiting on anyone else to post
3. If you will be unable to post for any reason that's fine, please just let us know so that we can work around your character until you can return.
4. If you lose interest or want/have to drop out for any reason, that's fine, again please just let us know so that we can take the measures required to remove or replace your character.
5. If you don't post and we don't hear anything for 3-4 days without warning that you'll be unable to post, we'll assume that you've dropped out. This doesn't mean you won't be able to rejoin, it just means that we'll remove your character until we hear from you.

Name: Lilly Jayne Rhodes
Age: 10
Gender: Female
Birthday: Dec 20th
Appearance: Physically Lilly is rather petite for her age, she has deep, blue eyes and long red hair, she also has a thin trail of freckles that sits across her nose and just under her eyes.

Personality: While at home with her family Lilly is a very bubbly and energetic person. She's loud and excitable most of the time and loves spending time with the people she lives with. She hardly ever walks through the house, preferring to run or skip or even treat the building as if it were some sort of obstacle course. Her persona outside of the house, however, is drastically different. When she's around people she doesn't know all that well she has crippling social anxiety and is as shy as they come. She will avoid talking to anyone and even panics having to do something as small as walk past someone from time to time. However, her social anxiety is much better if she's out with someone she fully trusts, such as a member of her family.

Lilly loves to escape to other worlds, be it through reading, playing a game or listening to music. She also has an extremely overactive imagination allowing her to fully immerse herself in the world she is 'visiting' at the time. Despite her bubbly nature when at home, she has her fair share of emotional problems. She often get's bullied at school, generally, it's nothing severe but even the simplest things such as people teasing her because she's ginger really seem to affect her, she feels extremely guilty for the tiniest of things and struggles to let things go, she has her crippling social anxiety and she suffers from depression. Most days she manages to keep on top of everything but every now and then something gets to her and brings everything she tries to ignore to the surface with it. Lilly often escapes to her 'other worlds' in order to avoid dealing with things in the real world and due to her overactive imagination she sometimes struggles to differentiate between reality and fiction.

Lilly hates school, she doesn't really have any friends there due to her inability to talk to other people without freaking out. Her anxiety revolving around school is so severe that every now and then it causes her to feel physically sick. She has trouble sleeping most nights but not always for negative reasons, she just doesn't sleep all that much, though sometimes her emotional state doesn't help. Emotionally, Lilly is far older than her age. She has an impressive understanding of other people's emotions but sometimes struggles with understanding her own.

Lilly looks up to her siblings and often tries to get involved in what they're doing, even if what they're doing is too old for her.

Other: When she's out of the house, Lilly carries a small over the shoulder bag everywhere she goes. Inside the bag are often things such as her DS, a notebook and pencil, earphones/headphones and some device for playing music, such as an iPod.
Lilly is a rather clumsy person.
Lilly has an extreme phobia of needles (As was discovered when she was taken to the doctors after feeling sick for a long time and they suggested a blood test and she burst into tears, though it later turned out that it was emotional stress causing the sickness) she also has an intermittent fear of the dark. Sometimes she'd fine in the dark but sometimes it terrifies her.
Has a sort of natural connection with animals and gets along with them almost effortlessly. She struggles to restrain herself from interacting with animals be they wild or pets and seeing animals dislike her (Especially more confident animals such as dogs) is a rarity.
She really wants to learn to play a musical instrument, her favourites being Piano, violin and guitar.
Has a very low pain threshold
Lilly is very squeamish, she's never actually thrown up but she has felt faint due to seeing gruesome things and even passed out.
Lilly has Sectoral Heterochromia which means although her eyes are usually percieved as blue they have been known to change colour depending on the light around her. It's said that Sectoral Heterochromia can also be affected by mood though this has yet to be definitively proven.

Lewis Warren Rhodes

Birthday: 20th March
Gender: Male
Occupation: Physiotherapist
Appearance: 6'2" tall; toned physique, tanned skin.

Personality:
One of Lewis' defining qualities is that he will always put family and friends first, dropping everything else to support them in their time of need. He enjoys quality time with his family, trying to take an active interests in each of family member on an individual level. He's very romantic and sensitive, with his love for his wife seemingly as strong as it was the day he married her. Lewis always sets out to give off a good impression, so when people first meet him they will see a friendly and charming man, one who is open to new friendships.

People would be foolish to think of Lewis a pushover or to take advantage of his kindness. The man is not a fool and is good at reading body language or recognising when people are lying to him. He doesn't like deception, but where his kids are concerned he's willing to overlook the odd fib if it doesn't have any real consequences. However, if his kids disappoint him or tell a big enough lie, he's not afraid to show them discipline. He rarely gets into arguments or fights, but he's a force to be reckoned with if he does - physically and verbally. More than anything, he hates bullies, whether in the playground, workplace or everyday life. In short, he's a nice guy, but it's best not to mess with him!

Other:
- Excellent cook and artist.
- Can play the piano, but doesn't dabble as much as he used to. Enjoys listening to others play, instead.
- Fluent in sign language.
- Whilst he likes watching movies, especially at the cinema, Lewis doesn't like to see his kids sat in front of the television or games consoles for too long. He's always happy to offer alternatives, no matter how much resistance he's met with!
- Enjoys going out for long drives in the car. Company preferable.
- Is an Agnostic and apathetic where politics are concerned.
- Works out at the hospital gym after every shift. Not purely for his own benefit, but physical strength is needed when supporting some of his patients.
- Gave up on his dream of being a doctor after his father died in a car accident 20 years ago. His studies suffered due to the stress of holding back his own grief to support his mother during her physical/emotional recovery and looking after his younger sister, Marie.
- In his mid-20s he instead returned to his studies and eventually became a physiotherapist.

Gender: Male
Appearance: Anthony is 5'11, Anthony has medium to long dark brown hair, sometimes he has it in a ponytail and Heterochromia (One brown eye & One blue eye). Anthony usually wears denim jackets, Hoodie jackets, Black High-top Chuck Taylor Converse sneakers, Unbuttoned flannel shirts, t-shirts of movies, anime/tv shows, Bands/artists, video games & Books/authors he likes. he also wears Newsboy caps & beanies/visor beanies on occasion.
Personality: Anthony is quiet, Introverted and not very social. He is very opinionated & speaks his mind when he's around his friends or family, But when he's by himself around people he finds intimidating or in charge he becomes spineless & a coward. He's not very open about talking about his problems. so he turns them into lyrics for his band's songs. He is however very humble, caring & intelligent. His political beliefs are Bernie Sanders-style Progressive Left, He uses some of the money he gets from his band's album sales/patreon page to donate to charities & causes he believes in. He also promotes them on his band's social media accounts & in some of his band's music videos. Anthony describes himself as a Cynical Optimist (A Cynical optimist is a person who has a genuine faith and hope for humanity and its improvement but also wants to grab a pie and throw it in its face for its stupidity and indifference for failing to shape up.) He's also a jokester and is pretty witty. he embraces his disability & welcomes jokes about his disability. In terms of Religion, Anthony considers himself a Deist but believes in his own interpretation of God.
Other:
- Anthony runs a Podcast called Freaks & Geeks with his friends/bandmates, His girlfriend/drummer & sometimes his family members and their friends.
- Anthony is Paraplegic from a gang attack from a group of bullies in elementary school.
- Anthony suffers from Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Depression (has attempted suicide 3 times) and some Social Anxiety.
- Anthony takes Lexapro for his Depression & G.A.D.
- Anthony is a Night Owl.
- Anthony is the lead singer, Lead Guitarist & Lyricist for his Punk/Experimental Rock band The Status Quo. He also can play Piano & Keyboards/Synthesizers.
- Anthony likes to read alot. some of his favorite Authors are George Orwell, Aldous Huxley, Ray Bradbury, Mary Shelley, Edgar Allan Poe and H.P. Lovecraft. He also likes reading Dictionaries, History books & Encyclopedias.
- Anthony loves Horror & Science fiction, especially Psychological Horror, Cyberpunk, and shows like Black Mirror, Twilight Zone, Outer Limits & Mr. Robot.
- Anthony loves collecting and playing Records, Cassette Tapes, Video games/consoles (both retro & modern)
- Anthony's music tastes are neverending, He listens to pretty much anything & is always happy to introduce people to new music he finds.
- Anthony has a good sense of humor. he loves shows like Whose Line is it Anyway? He loves Black/Dark Comedy. some of his favorite Comedians are George Carlin, Bill Hicks, Doug Stanhope, Bill Burr and Mitch Hedberg.

Name: Liam James Rhodes

Age: 14

Gender: Male

Birthday: October 2nd

Appearance: Liam is 5’4” (and a half) tall, with brown eyes, and dark brown hair that falls to just above his shoulders. He prefers to wear casual and comfortable clothing, and is particularly fond of wearing t-shirts with his favourite characters on.

Personality: Liam has been described as lots of things by his peers: quirky, eccentric, odd, or just downright weird. Despite this, he simply sees himself as Liam, and everyone is weird. While he can have some difficulty knowing what to say and when, or just generally what to do with himself, he’s a thoughtful person who cares a great deal about his family and friends. He enjoys the company of both himself and others, and will usually go along with most sorts of activities as long as there’s a plan. Though, once his limit to socialise has been reached, he needs to have some time alone to “recharge” and collect his thoughts. Once he’s had enough, he’s had enough, and if he doesn’t get space to himself he can quickly become anxious, irritable, and occasionally somewhat violent. Thankfully, he usually knows how to recognise his limits and takes himself for time out when he needs it.

While Liam is often upbeat and content around his friends/family, he also undoubtedly has a more serious side to him when it comes to school or other things to work towards. He is a perfectionist and tries to ensure that even the smallest of things he does is done the “right” way and to his highest standard. This can lead to him getting very frustrated when he is struggling to do something or does it wrong. However, he doesn’t like to let frustration get to him, and will usually want to try something challenging again once he is ready.

Liam isn’t always the best at handling lots of emotions or similar chaos, so when things get too much, he normally withdraws himself from the world and focuses on a specific interest of his until he feels prepared to come back and face reality. Though periods like this don’t usually last a long time for him, it is near impossible to break him out of the state he enters until he is ready. When asked to explain it, he has previously told people that "You can't force a giraffe to swim", which is an accurate fact, but doesn't always succeed in conveying what he means.

To summarise, Liam has some difficulties with communication sometimes, but he does his best and wants to find the things in life that make himself and those around him happy.

Other:

• Liam has Asperger Syndrome (Autism), and while he ensures doesn’t define him, it has impacted several parts of his lifestyle and personality. He tries not to view it as a problem, and instead tries to accept that it’s a part of him and always will be, so he may as well embrace it.
• Due to having AS, he also has some sensory processing issues, which often become more apparent when he is tired or in a bad mood.
• Liam absolutely loves all things Pokémon, but has a special attachment to the trading card game, which he was introduced to by a friend when he was nine years old. Since then he has been expanding his collection, practising playing at his school’s card club, and soon wants to compete in a tournament.
• He doesn’t like pizza. (That seems like something too controversial to not mention. =P)
• His favourite subjects at school are computer science and math.
• People crying makes him feel very uncomfortable. Whether it's someone he knows, someone on TV, or even himself. It makes him feel squirmy.
• Liam very much enjoys playing video games. He mostly sticks to Nintendo ones, but also likes various Sonic games such as Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Colors, and other games such as Minecraft.
• He has specific days of the week set to wear certain socks.
• Liam can recite the first three generations of the PokéDex, and is working on memorising the fourth generation. Listening them out loud or in his head can be helpful in lots of situations, from calming down to solving boredom.
• He prefers to listen to instrumentals instead of music with lyrics.
• Liam loves cartoons and animated films. He often spurts out quotations from his favourite shows and characters.

Name: Krystal Andrea Rhodes
Age: 35
Gender: Female
Birthday: July 8th
Appearance: While her hair is naturally red, it has faded over time into more of a dark blonde. She has striking blue eyes. Her ears are littered with healed over holes of old piercings, though she still wears two earnings in her lobes. Older tattoos cover her back, upper arms, and legs. She's slim but not petite.
Personality: The Cool Mom^TM

An extrovert through and through, Krystal can't go anywhere in public without running into someone she knows. She loves people. Talking to them, watching them, helping them through their problems, it's all good. With high emotional intelligence and empathy Krystal prides herself on being a great listener. Which she is, but she often hides from her own problems by helping others with theirs. Her issues are on the back burner. She often has no idea what she's doing, since she became a parent so young. She relies on Lewis to be her grounding force.

A people lover like herself has to be pansexual. While she never labeled it growing up, she has had relationships with both men and women, and has felt love many times. However, the only time she's been in love was with Lewis. Krystal keeps up to date with all that's going on and is a huge supporter of the LGBT+ community, a liberal with out a doubt.

Other:
-She has quite a wild past that she doesn't want her kids knowing about
-What they do know is she was a musician in a punk rock band in her teens
-She obviously loves music, but she doesn't stick to just rock. From Jazz to country to classical to indie, she likes it all
-Krystal was diagnosed with depression and anxiety when she was 13, and tried to kill herself at 15. Now she has it pretty much under control
-She is very resourceful from that wild past of hers, she can make a 3 course meal from an empty fridge and can make a fire out of almost anything
-While Krystal still sings for fun, she spends her days now as a photographer and does wedding shoots (hopeless romantic that she is)
-This is definitely not where she thought her life was going, but she's happy she's here
- Feels like the spark and adventure of her relationship with Lewis has faded, she feels distant and longs for the past in that regard

Name: Rowan Elizabeth Meyers
Age: 29
Gender: Female
Birthday: March 3rd
Appearance: Rowan has dark brown hair that reaches a little past her shoulder, but it's rarely ever down. She has creamy brown eyes and a warm smile. She is around 5'3 and has a very petite build. She often wears sweaters even if it's warm. She hardly ever wears makeup unless for a formal event but even then it's minimum. She has a rose tattoo on her right rib, a planetary system on her fingers and a cherry blossom on her right shoulder.

Personality:
Rowan is fairly quiet in public but not shy in the slightest. She enjoys people but also enjoys a good minute of relaxation and solitude. She is often in her fantasy worlds, these woulds shy tries to capture with her art. She loves to use bright colors that would usually be used with happy imagery though all of her drawings and works have a darker picture behind it.
She suffers from depression, but tries to use it to fuel herself and her work, which doesn't always work out. Much like her art she is good a putting on a happy front even when she is not. She is somewhat soften spoken and methodical. She isn't a people person but she loves her family more than anything and will often try to get them to draw or play games with her be it board games or video games.
She is a believer in true love and even after three years of Maisie being gone she refuses to date anyone. Even though she knows Maisie would want what is best for her Rowan's heart won't allow it. While she has moved on from Maisie's passing in the sense that she can think of her without breaking down she still longs for her to be alive.

Other:
-Rowan is a freelance artist and is currently working on her first graphic novel named Honey.
-Writes poetry on occasion, usually things that seem sweet and simple but have a deep and dark meaning.
-She enjoys playing video games, but she's not very good. She also enjoys watching anime, but hasn't since she was with Maisie.
-Her favorite music to listen to is movie soundtracks.
-Rowan has not dated since Maisie passed and does not wish too.
-She met Maisie when she was nineteen they didn't start dating until she was twenty. They got engaged when they were twenty-six Maisie passed three months after.
-Rowan moved to Oregon when she was nineteen. She went to visit Krystal in New York for her 29th birthday and ended up staying.
-Suffered from anorexia.
-Drinks a lot of tea.
-She 's worn a locket with a picture of Maisie and her since she was twenty-four and will probably never stop wearing it.
-She is Korean and was adopted when she was three.
-Is still perfecting the tattoo she is going to get to honor Maisie.
-Maisie was two years younger than Rowan.

Birthday: November 23rd
Appearance: Winona is 5'2" with dark brown curly hair and caramel colored skin. She often wears her hair down unless she's working or concentrating on something then she ties it up. Winona almost always has a smile on her face and if she doesn't then you know there's something wrong. You can often times find her in a graphic t-shirt tucked into some jeans or shorts with a pair of sneaker. She always has these sunglasses given to her by her grandfather whether she's wearing them or not.
Personality: Winona is a very carefree, laid-back type of girl. She can be very stubborn and determined to do things her way, even is she's not always right. She enjoys hanging out with her friends and often feels out of place around other people. Winona is terrified of water because of a traumatic event that happened when she was little, she doesn't even like taking baths for too long. She tends to bottle up her feelings when she's mad or sad so when she feels overwhelmed they tend to explode. She hates girly stuff and refuses to listen to her mother and become a "proper lady" she doesn't do makeup, dresses, heels, or any of that stuff no matter who's trying to get her to wear it. Winona feels it's her life and she can choose what she wants to do with it.
Other:
- Winona loves playing video games and watching movies.
- She is lactose intolerant and is deathly allergic to fish.
- Plays on the soccer team for her school and is in debate club.
- Her family moved around a lot before finally settling down in New York, she's still trying to get adjusted to the new settings but she's taking it in step by step.
- She doesn't like to talk about her traumatic event with water and if she does she get clammy and nervous.
- Winona is a very outgoing and extroverted person, she tends to be a bit pushy and forward in things but she can sense when a person feels uncomfortable and back off.
- She often likes to go out the the local skatepark and do tricks on her bike, if the skatepark is closed you can usually find her at the park.
