"Yeah, all I got was a thanks that seemed meaningless." Lile sighed and ran her hand through her red hair, closing her eyes for a moment. She opened them again and shrugged. "Look, whatever, you do what you want. Just don't call me when you need a hand. You've got whatever Barbie doll for that."

"She's not even my girlfriend." He said quietly and sighed leaning back in his chair and crossing his arms over his chest as he looked over at her. "Just a friend." He stated bluntly with and emotionless face as he stared into her eyes from across the room.

Lile sighed again and walked over to him, resting her hands on his knees as she looked straight into his eyes. "The problem is you treat women like a personal object. Some women like that, some don't. But you need someone to support you and not spend all your money like the last one."

"What's the point in even doing that. They always leave, anyways." He said and huffed as he looked up at her, frowning slightly. "I'm tired of being heartbroken. That's why I don't date. There's no reason to." He stated bluntly and bit his lip softly.

"Well it's pretty obvious you haven't found the right girl and when you do find somewhat of the right girl, it's all ruined because of something. You just need to figure what the something is and go from there," Lile said she removed her hands and leaned back.

He shrugged and frowned as he leaned forward and rested his elbows on his knees. "You wanna get dinner or something?" He asked and stood up, looking down at her.

Lile smiled and chuckled, shaking her head. It was if he could completely twist her arm without trying and the anger would soon go, even if he didn't apologize. "If this is an apology dinner then sure, I'm free."

"It's an apology dinner and a date. Be ready at 8." He said with a small smile and walked back to his desk and opened his laptop, continuing with his daily to-do list.

"You are such an ass," Lile chuckled and shook her head again as she picked up her bag and left the office. She wondered in the city and bought some new clothes for the dinner before dropping off the mail at home and starting to get ready.

Ryan finished work at around six and went home, getting into the shower before brushing his teeth and fixing his hair before getting dressed. "I'm on my way." He texted Lile as he walked out of his building, walking to where Lile lived.

Lile glanced at her phone and quickly texted back, 'All done anyway.' She smoothed the emerald green dress and pulled on a pair of black heels, making sure her earrings were in place as she heard the doorbell ring. Lile moved quickly down the stairs and unlocked the front door, smiling at Ryan. "Thank god I got ready quickly."

He nodded. "You look nice," he said with a smile and offered her his hand before beginning to walk to a fancy restaurant that he'd made reservations to.

"So come on, what's the deal? Why the hand holding? And why the fancy restaurant?" Lile asked, raising an eyebrow at him and then at him holding her hand.

"Well, it's a date isn't it?" He asked and shrugged, looking over at her with a small smile. "Unless you don't wanna hold hands, I'm cool with that too." He added.

"No, that's fine with me. You just never hold hands and you never go on dates and you definitely aren't romantic," Lile said with smile as she held on a little tighter to his hand.
