Join a DnD campaign as a player first and take notes on what the DM does. Ask them questions about how they prepare for sessions. Talk to MULTIPLE people because every GM is going to be different. There is a group that streams online called Critical Roll. You could watch their DnD sessions, too. Give yourself patience and just try new things!

Be careful though. Critical Roll's sessions are amazing, but so many players end up with sour experiences because they set their expectations that the phenomenon when a player goes in setting their expectations for sessions/GM/players too high was actually named "The Matt Mercer Effect" (after Matt Mercer, Critical Role's GM).

As a fellow person looking to start GMing for the first time, I am rooting for ya!
Hey ex's? Maybe don't use your former partner's depression as a segue into asking to bone down. And maybe also don't pretend to have depression, or use your own depression, as a way to coax them into sleeping with you. It's disgusting, and quite frankly, kinda predatory.
ok but that feel when you go to a bakery to apply for a job since they said they had a help wanted sign, and now the only job that they have is for a baker/cook, and the kicker is the fact that they won't hire women for that position. Like???? Why? I wasn't gonna apply for that position anyways but literally what's the reasoning? I'm so genuinely curious.

I worked in a butcher's shop for a while, and some of the positions were only open to men because it involved a lot of heavy lifting. Sure some women could do it, but no one like that ever applied. I dunno why they would have that for a baker/cook tho.
-knows i won't get better at drawing if i don't draw-
