Age of Redemption (500 Player Map RP):
(Optimized for Night life theme)
Announcement:
This RP new planned release date is TBA (87/200 players)
In 2025 the US Super Aircraft Carrier Hampton was sunk off the coast of the Mediterranean within Italian National Waters as well as an Italian Missile base in Sicily. While it was not known at the time this incident was an act of terror it was treated as a deliberate attack on both parties involved. As a result of this incident, NATO was disbanded and the EUF (European United Forces) Came into being. On December 20th, 2026 a peace summit was held between the US and the newly formed EUF in hopes to stop the war before it began, also attending the meeting was Russia and China. During the Conference, an American Secret Service agent shot and killed the Russian Diplomat & one of the Chinese guards missed his mark and killed the French Presidents daughter. Within 3 days Russian Troops were storming through the Baltic nations and Poland while the US and EUF navies played cat and mouse in the Atlantic the third World War had begun. Each nation agreed to not use nuclear weapons and only weapons permitted by the Geneva convention resulting in a bloody 40-year long war until June 6th, 2066 when the bombs were unleashed upon the world. In a matter of hours, every place humanity had ever known or loved was destroyed as nuclear fire rained upon the earth, the world was on fire and covered in nuclear radiation… It would seem impossible that anything could Survive…
Yet there is hope, nations had in the years of war built bunkers and places to keep their people safe, in combination with the number of warheads intercepted, and the decrease in number as many were turned into Power Plant cores to battle the energy crisis life survived. The year is 2150 and people have started emerging from their bunkers, caves, and shelters to recolonize the world, the question is will they survive? Will you lead a country to be peaceful and rebuild the world as it was or claw out others’ throats and raid the wastes? Only time will tell in humanity can redeem itself after unleashing **** upon the earth, Welcome to the Age of Redemption.
Also, If you know a good RPer invite them here as we need everyone we can get
Admin Strike:In the event of a player repeatedly breaking the rules an admin strike may be authorized. If a strike is an admin approved, then the players are free to take out the player without being required to following the province limit. However, to ensure that the admins do not abuse this power there are a set of rules that must be followed to initiate an admin strike. Do not worry as long as you follow the rules and do your best you will not need to worry about this section. They may also be used against a player that takes Colonies/ Inhospitable lands before it is authorized. Last but not least admin strikes are not to limit your creativity they are to make sure that trolls and other situations can be dealt with as needed. (I have only used it once on SAS for trolling Fallout III)
1.Admin must warn the player that is breaking the rules twice before authorizing. (3 strikes you're out) 2.
2.Provence limit can only be voided for a strike if the incident involves trolling...
3. The Main admin (WarCityDriver) must approve of the strike
4. If you take colonies before approved an admin strike might be authorized
Fine amounts for mild rule breaks:
For minor rule breaks, you will be required to pay a small fine to one of the admins that will go directly into the admin fleet to help keep balance in the game as well as help landlocked players establish colonies. If you do not have cash (Silver) then the admin will negotiate and wait for the silver when you have it for 48 hours or negotiate another material that can be used (Energy or Materials, this is supposed to be punishment so sorry food will not cut it). Once again to be clear the silver aka cash used for the fines will not be used for the admins personal gains and only for functions that support the game like the admin fleet at the start of the game or will be used to build some compensation for players that are victims of rule breaks that affect their economy in game.
1. Posting an OOC article that does not contribute to the game and does not have a written IC article attached to it: 10k Silver
2. If you go over the province limit by any means other than a revolt you must pay 20k silver to an admin and go back under the limit in 3 days
3. Attacking or capital raiding without posting requires 200k silver to be sent to an admin. (If you are unable to post within 24 hours of the attack hold off on the attack)
4. Mild Gold mark usage like using a spy or buying a small amount of resources from the stock market will result in a 250,000 silver fine or possibly an admin strike depending on the player’s track record and how much was used could result in an admin strike as well. (Mandatory to be determined by main admin)
5. The main admin could decide to issue a fine for other rule breaks and the amount and punishment will be discussed with the admins and mods of the game before being issued.
Admin fleet:
An admin fleet is a group of vessels that are under the control of the regional admins of the game only and cannot be used for the personal gain of their nations. These fleets are designed to be enforcement elements for the admins as well as to be used with helping in the colonization of the world. Each of these fleets will have the marking of UNPF (Unmanned Naval Patrol Fleet) for their battleships and a list of the number of these vessels will be maintained and recorded at all times. Somewhere between day 30-60, the majority or all of the fleet will be traded to all nations of the world equally with smaller nations receiving the extras. Also, keep in mind that the admins can use GM to build these fleets and that fines are used toward building them which is the reason why only the main admins/ regional admins can use them to avoid abuse. If an Admin with this power uses them for personal gain then that admin will be subject to an automatically united admin strike, this is here to help the players in the game, set up an event we have planned out, and to give an option for landlocked nations to establish colonies around the world (More info in Landlocked Colony Admin Support). The GM is there to keep the balance of the game so the admin's actual fleets and investments are accurately reflected and not determined by having to invest in navies for Colonies of other and having the rest of their econ struggle because of it.
Province Limit:
In order to ensure that no single nation becomes too powerful, a province limit has been set in the game. The limit starts at 16 provinces and can only be raised by the main admin of the game. This limit also helps to ensure that nations like Germany and Southern USA do not get an early power advantage from being so close to a bunch of NPCs and encouraging a more dynamic map by allowing players to get outposts where they otherwise would not have had the chance to. Last but not least if you go over the province limit you have 48 hours to get rid of the province before admins are allowed to authorize a strike (if you are having trouble getting rid of it and have a good reason the main admin can overrule the province limit until it is raised if it is 1 province acquired on accident).
Every Sunday the limit will rise by 10 (main admin will make a post regarding every Sunday and might increase amount if agreed upon by the admins)
Colonies/ claiming inhospitable lands:
In this game, there will be 4 colonizable regions where no player can start out (Or they will be blown off the map promptly). Those three regions are South America, Africa, (Parts)Oceania, and Australian continents. Each of them will become available for colonization. Before each colonization an admin will write rumors that ___ has cleared enough to support human life giving time for players to start reading their fleets and resources to cross the seas and steak their claim, within 2-3 days then there will be another post by an admin about a scouting party landing and at that point other nations can then land and start claiming land (Don’t worry they will not have landed yet, and will land with the rest of the players. It also will give the AI a chance to waste all of its men on your defenses giving you a chance for both RPing and reducing your casualty’s). As for carving up the land the way you can carve it up is below. After you land you have to stay to the coastal regions until the admin gives the Ok to advance (3-4 days after landings start). Also, South America and Australia will be first to be allowed to colonize with Africa opening up last.
In short:
1. You cannot go below the red line on the map drawn above until admin starts colonization
2. Once preparation starts you cannot land until admin posts an article saying it is safe for humans
South America and Oceania will be open for colonization first, than Australia and Africa will open up last.
Land Locked Colony Admin support:
If you are landlocked and do not have access to the sea you can pay silver to an admin to have them claim a small colony for you and trade it to you. I have a couple of different options for the players that qualify as explained below, but this is the primary reason the admin fleets are in the game because we learned from fallout landlocked nations have a major disadvantage after colonies are claimed and this was the system we came up with to counter it. Please keep in mind that in order to have this option you must be landlocked and give the main admin a notice that you will be using this option at least 7 days in advance and pay with the silver up front so we can create the units and position them to take the colony.
1. For 100k silver, 15 Armored cars or infantry will be traded to you and your Colonization target will have all enemy units bombarded and destroyed in advance for you.
2. For 150,000 Silver 20 Armored cars or infantry and 1 Light cruiser will be traded to you in the region, all hostile units will be bombarded and destroyed by the admin fleet in advance for you.
3. For 200,000 Silver 25 Armored cars or infantry and 1 Light cruiser, and 1 artillery unit will be traded to you in the region, all hostile units will be bombarded and destroyed by the admin fleet in advance for you.
Rules:
1. No Gold mark
2. Please follow the rules of war for PVP wars.
3.post at least once a day on the DE (IF unable to do so please notify one of the RPs admins)
4.If you do not post 5 days in a row a decent length article (500 wordish) and do not notify an admin as to why you will not receive admin protection automatically and the admin will determine the degree of admin protection.
5.If the Main Admin asks you to give a shared map for a rule breach you are required to do so
6.please do your best to use proper grammar and spelling
7.be respectful to other players in the game
8.No OOCs in the DE if you have any problems notify one of the games admins and they will do their best to address the issue.
9.Change your flag and picture to something post-apocalyptic in nature
10.No trolling!!! In the event of trolling an admin, strike may be authorized by admin (More on admin strikes in Admin Strike article)
11.You must stay within the Provence limit or the admins have permission to authorize an admin strike.
12.You may not RP other player’s characters and units without permission.
13. No invading inhospitable lands/ colonies until authorized by Main admin. If you invade one an admin strikes me be authorized;
14. If you go over the province limit you will be required to pay a fine to the main admin, repeat offenders might be subject to an admin strike
15. No Capital raiding without posting for each and every capital.
16. Do not use game Exploits like stack splitting as it makes little sense RP-wise
17. naval units cannot have meat shields with the exception of transportation for moral purposes from one region of the world to another
18. If you break the rules you might be subject to a fine to be paid to the admin depending on the severity of the breach
19. If no articles are posted for 7 Days straight PVP cleanup team will join the game to finish the game to take the load off the server.
20. Have fun and enjoy your RP experience.
Guidelines:
Population:
Your population=1% of what is said on your diplomacy screen. So, for example, it says you have a population of 10,000,000 you in context population is 100,000 at the start of the game. (World events will increase the percentage allowed over time)
Technologies Developed during the Third World War:
Submerged Boarding Craft (SBC):
Developed to capture enemy vessels in the hopes of using them in the war, the SBC is the perfect tool to sneak covert operatives onto an enemy vessel. The small craft has a sonar absorbing shell, 2 torpedoes, and a specialized drill on the tip to allow the vessel to drill into a ships hall and let the 4-man squad board the vessel without causing the vessel to take on water by welding itself to the ship as soon as the SBC boards, additionally if the Marines failed to claim the vessel the SBC would ping the ships location to nearby allied ships until the vessel was destroyed or could be tracked down for additional boarding attempts. The SBC was originally built in the USA in 2037, but 3 years later the EUF built a similar unit to counter the SBC and try to reclaim all the supply vessels that the SBCs managed to capture.
Vehicle Class Reactive armor:
With the increasing power of anti-vehicle munitions, it rapidly became a priority to improve point defense systems and try to avoid letting the round hit the tank in the first place, and armor that would react to the round other than just take the hit. These defense mechanisms are referred to as Reactive armor and include everything from armor that explodes when hit to disperse the round, to PDS (Point Defense Systems) That destroy the missile before they make contact with the tank or another vehicle. PDS systems tend to require massive amounts of energy as well as computing power meaning that after enough rounds the system will not be able to track or destroy the round which is the greatest weakness of the systems, Eventually the tank will be down to just its armor. (Technology already exists)
Infantry Reactive Armor:
Infantry reactive armor works on a different concept then Vehicle reactive armor, the idea with infantry reactive armor is to distribute and deflect the energy rather than stops it before it hits. In most IRA (Infantry Reactive Armor) Suits this is achieved via magnetic pulses sent through a liquid under the top Kevlar layer to condense when a bullet impacts the soldiers suit and greeting an area of increased density to squeeze the bullet, dissipate the energy, and absorb the round. The other benefit of armor is that medical chemicals and life support systems can easily be added to the suite in order to increase the likelihood of wounded soldiers surviving until backup can reach them. This technology was originally deployed by European United Forces (EUF) in 2033 but was not widely used for infantry until 2039. The primary problem is that each time the suit is hit; a small amount of the reactive fluid evaporates or is expelled from the suit meaning the more rounds that penetrate the Kevlar overlay the higher the chance of failure is.
(Being Developed)
Mechanized Combat Suit (MCS):
The Mechanized Combat suit built and patented by the US military in 2031 is an exoskeleton mechanized suit that essentially turns a soldier into a walking tank, the advantage to the mech is that a unit can easily climb over mountains and another terrain that tanks would not be able to traverse. Most MCS also feature heavy weapons capability’s like small missiles and machine guns, add on top of that reactive armor and they are a force to be reckoned with (Please note these units are only to be seen in this game as tank or Armored cars and not as Infantry. Also, they are not Gun dam style mech as they are very basic compared to them and are not designed for airborne combat or any of that crazy stuff and to use them in game requires admin approval as they are complex and would seem alien to emerging survivors. Think Pandora for the mech suits)
Gyro-stabilized Deployable Turrets:
Designed to support combat engineers as well as special operations teams in the field Turrets started Emerging all over the globe in the late 2030’s. With thousands of miles to defend it became common for mobile and stationary turrets to dot the landscape, among the most revolutionary was the gyro stabilized Deployable turrets that a squad could throw and the device would land and deploy right side up before covering an area. Using medical cards and military cards under the skin the turrets could recognize the individual was friendly or Hostile.
(Being tested)
Rail guns:
Using a magnetic charge in 2041 Russian Scientists successfully fired a 30-kilo slug at 10,000 Meters per second, resulting in a weapon that could fire rounds faster than ever before with increased energy and kinetic payloads. Quickly afterwards the EUF and the US built their own prototypes and by 2045 all forces were using them on new Proelium (battle in Latin) class ships having more range and firepower than any standard vessel on the seas, they functioned much like dreadnaughts and battleship from a century before bombarding the enemy from afar and reviving the extinct class of vessel and once more giving it a purpose in a modern navy. Shortly before the bombs fell the technology was starting to be miniaturized into Sniper rifles and anti-tank rifles for infantry use. (Admin approval needed for rail gun infantry class as they were in prototype phases, to give you an idea how rare like 30 were made in all of Germany before the bombs fell, maybe 200 in the USA)
(Large Versions already Exists)
Drop Pods:
Originally designed for landings on mars and other manned space exploration like many other things in the war there was a purpose seen for the capsules that was less Nobile then exploring the great abyss of space, by 2045 many large troop carriers orbited the earth in low orbit with large U2 like wings to keep them adrift long enough to drop the most experienced EUF and US troops where they are needed the most. Due to the speed, the lander heads towards the earth the chance of being shot down is minimal. The Shock troopers that exit the pods are equipped to the teeth and have seen a minimum of 5 years of combat.
(Not yet… But Nasa likes the idea for Mars and they will pop up in prequel articles, however, I better not see them being used by any nations in this game)
Virtual & Artificial Intelligence:
With the increasing need to have more processing power for each factions cyberspace and hacking divisions, as well as the need for programs to automate certain tasks first Virtual intelligence (Ais that can do tasks and come up with creative ways to resolve them but can only do it for their area they are focused in) and later Artificial intelligence (Ais that can do and learn as they please with no limits) were created in 2060’s and in the last decade before the bombs fell were significant workhorses for all the factions coordinating bombardments, times attacks would take place, they became so useful and common many divisions had their own personal AI to represent that unit. (cannot be played by Players, Admins will have certain events to use Ais for as well as a time when they will start emerging again leaving players the choice to destroy them or collect them)
(First Computer has passed the awareness test in Japan… Anyone say Skynet?)
Everyday equals three months.
Resources:
Even before the Great War occurred the world was running out of resources mainly energy resources. So they created new resources to make up for it.
Food:
Grains: Grains have stayed the same.
Fish: Fish has stayed the same… Though now it's common to find fish with 2-4 heads nowadays….
Materials:
Lumber: Lumber has stayed the same
Iron: Iron has been changed to all metals because many factions do not have the option of making their villages all out of one resource they mix them.
Energy:
Coal: Coal is still coal, cheap and affordable source of energy
Oil: Oil is almost extinct from the world only small quantities are still around by 2150. One gallon of Oil is worth as much as the car it goes in. As such Oil is now synthetic oil. (I know minor change but how they are made it makes sense)
Gas: Gas is Biofuel as Gas is made with real Oil
Mercenaries:
Players are allowed to sell units as mercenaries or keep control of them while they fight for someone else’s cause as long as the trade/ transfer is RPed.
Recommended Stages of War:
1st stage: Diplomacy
The first stage on the road of war is diplomacy where the nations will use diplomacy to bring about an event or take a province. If diplomacy fails, then both parties advance to stage two.
EX: The New German Republic demands the release of mutants captured during their war and an end to their inhumane torturing or else war will be declared.
EX: Enclave demands the province of Palma or they will declare war.
Stage 2: Armed Forces Build up
During this stage, the aggressor will begin massing forces at the border of the opposing party’s borders and set them up before attacking giving the defender a last chance to give into the aggressor's demands.
Stage 3: Invasion
After failing to come to an agreement in stages 1 or 2 the aggressor may now attack their target. This whole process should take around a week before the attack begins.
You must also give the nation you are attacking a chance to surrender and if they do so they will be required to give you tribute and you will not be allowed to take the rest of their lands.
Battleships and Railguns:
Battleships and railguns must be named appropriately for the nation that they are assigned to. And battleships are not battleships they are anything from a massive fleet of small vessels to a single frigate to aircraft carriers. However, if you have a high tech level aircraft carrier cannot be deployed until you have at least escort ships for the aircraft carrier.
EX: NCR Mississippi Hunter class submarine
EX: NGRN Jagermeister Schwarz Toten class cruiser
EX: SRN Long range defense system Atlas (Railgun)
EX: USS Roosevelt aircraft carrier
Capital Class ships (Very large ships)
Ships like Aircraft carriers and Battleships can be built to show your naval prowess, however, there are a couple of rules in place to make it difficult (Like it is in the real world) to build these large capital ships. A carrier or large vessel can keep being upgraded to be larger as long as it is RPed.
1. A Ship larger than a Cruiser has to have several ships built to represent the components of the ship. Each class has a minimum below.
Escort Carrier
2 part (hull & Flight Deck)
Proelium Battleship
3 parts (Rail Gun, Hull, Command deck)
Aircraft Carrier
4 parts (Hull, Flight Deck, Tower, & Catapult)
SBC Carrier
5 Parts ( hull, SBC launch port, Command & Control Deck, Fire deck (Guns), & Radar and Sonar Deck
Super Heavy Carrier or Other Super class vessal
6 Parts or more of the ones on other ships or other parts you can think of that are used on ships.
2. If built for a Heavy ship they are not allowed to separate from each other aka the Railgun cannot leave the hull (that would be silly, and yes, doing this is very much a limiter and a bit of a vanity fair showing how awesome your navy is)
3. If you are RPing a poor country with low tech… please don’t build a super heavy ship as it would not make sense.
Events:
Everyday events will take place, the events range from story events to major global reach events, to plagues, to finding a cache of resources. Each kind of events is explained below
Daily Resource find:
Once Daily the admin will through all player’s names in random number generator (That have posted at least a 2 paragraph article) and the winner will receive 5k of resources. In Context this means they either produced more this season or found a cache of resources.
Story Events:
A regional event that will affect all players in the region and will force them to RP a solution to the problem
Global Story events:
These are special events that have far-reaching effects and will affect all players in one way or another (Admin will have land in Southern Hemisphere for this reason and these events before colonization)
Frequently asked questions (FAQ):
Why Do we have a province limit, why can I not just expand as fast as my armies allow?
There is a couple reason for this first and foremost this is an RP with no set super powers, as such a level of balance must be maintained to keep the RP active and alive as super powers that are too large for this type of an environment tend to hurt the RP, this also improves the chances of having competed for super powers once they are established and their network of alliances that results in a longer and more enjoyable RP.
Why is the game set in a post-apocalyptic setting and after the nukes fell?
With a game of this magnitude, a Land swap would kill any RP on it outright as the land swap alone would take 30 days to complete any historical borders. Some would argue you could act like you had that land, but then the DE and layers of confusion would be through the roof as people would not know what is RP and what is LS process and a post-apocalyptic RP with survivors vying for domination would make sense with the 500 layouts and make more sense in context when looking at the map.
Why do we have some future technology in this game?
Near future tech allows players to play as a modern-day nation or develop a specialized nationality to separate themselves from other nations. The technology part allows each nation if they desire to be a little bit different to do so (Within reason)
Where are the rest of the nations, I thought you said this was a 500 player map?
Private message me and I can provide you with a link with all nations available and what nations are taken.
