"Good morning California! It's a bright day today out in Cali beach, so put on your swimsuits, rub on some sunblock and head over to catch some waves."

It's the day after your college graduation and the feeling of finally being out in the real world has yet to settle in. While the radio man claims it's a good day to go to the beach, you have a different plan.

Her psychology, while strategic and objective, lacks confidence in her intuition. She may not always trust her gut, and is very self-critical. The girl may, perhaps, feel a sense of relief when left alone, which is where her best ideas come from. Monday hates silence, and loves the majesty of words. She can often find herself drawing letters in the sand subconsciously, or tracing a patterned shape over and over.

She is quick thinking and observant, and rather quick to judge, based on first impressions. Trust is easy to find, but not to earn in her. She is not trusting of people until she gets to know them.

Monday, when introduced, may come off as rude, and cold, and she is the latter. She is cold, in the horribly polite kind of way. She will always point out mistakes, but help you correct them without friendliness. However, once you have earned her trust, she will gradually warm up to you. If she is unhappy, it's rather possible that no one would know.

She is more calm towards people who are likewise. Loud, obnoxious people would easily piss her off, but she would never advance to them, rather just, somewhat ignore them to an extent.

Esben&Jerylin- Childhood playmates who met through their mother's support group (Club... I mean club...) . They grew apart during school, meeting back up in the same group of friends by coincidence in college.

Esben&Kierra- Because the history department got an award, Kierra was assigned to do an article on it. When she asked one of the professors who the best people to interview for the article would be Esben was on the list. After the interview they started running into each other more often around campus, hitting it off well they sort of naturally formed a friendship. Which is how Esben was pulled into the group.

Esben&Oliver- Being in the same P.E. class their sophomore year of college, they somehow ended up on the same team as each other turning Baseball. They ended up hitting it off and became friends.

Esben&EveryoneElse- Esben met the rest of the group through Kierra and Jerylin.

Joe blinked a few times, his bright television light rudely blinding him as he woke up. With a tendency to wake up early in the morning he groans tapping his phone, looking at the time it read '8:00 am'. Joe muttered as he stretched and cracked his body, god damn that's 4 hours of sleep. Slowly reaching up he hit the power button on his controller, as the TV powered down Joe slammed his head down into a pillow giving him a bit more time in the darkness; contemplating whether to get up or not. After quick blink and a glance back at his phone it was about thirty minutes later, story of his life; he's learned to never blink until he knows he is genuinely awake. With a sigh he flipped upwards, his legs dangling off the side of his bed as he wiped the rheum from his eyes, peering about looking for his PJ's to toss on.

Joe reached down grabbing his plaid Pajama pants, slipping them on and making his way out to the kitchen where he could pour himself a bowl of cereal to start his day off, which would have mostly comprised of reading, movies, and video games, a typical day for him since he'd been back from school. Taking a seat at the kitchen table he looked all around him, giving a sigh realizing that once again no one was home though it was typical and it didn't bother him as he continued eating away. (Thought I'd do my post while I was bored.)

Day 1/8:00 A.M./San Diego, CA

The sun peaked out of it's hiding place casting a bright light through the half-parted curtains in Jerylin's room although it would take a lot more than the sun's rays to wake this sleeping beauty. The soft ticking of the alarm had been at a constant tempo until the second hand reached the top. The alarm burst into a cacophonous shrill as the tiny metal rod vibrated between both metal bells. Startled by the ringing of the alarm, Jerylin sat up immediately.

It took a while for Jerylin's mind to catch up with her body. While Jerylin struggled to pry open her eyes, she swung her limp arm towards her alarm clock to turn of the ear-piercing ring. Jerylin rubbed the sleepy out of her eyes and with a loud yawn and a cat-like back stretch, she kicked her feet off the bed and into her batman slippers and groggily headed into the restroom to shower and get ready.

After applying the last bit of mascara to her eyes, Jerylin placed her make up back, as well as the rest of her toiletries into her backpack and looked at herself in the mirror. She had tied up her hair into a messy bun and was wearing a loose white shirt with the words, "We Are Young" and a pair of studded, light blue, denim shorts. Jerylin grabbed her blue vans that were next to her dresser and sat on the edge of her bed to put them on. From where she was Jerylin had a clear view of her driveway and the RV that was parked in front of it. A smile spread across her face as the thought of spending a whole summer out on the road with her friends danced around her head.

When Jerylin was done getting ready she grabbed her phone, her suitcase, her backpack, and her batman plushie and headed down stairs towards the kitchen. One of her roommates, Ginger, was already making breakfast.

"Mornin' Jisa. Want some ham and eggs? Still hot."

Ginger had a thick southern accent that complimented her fair freckled skin and her bright red hair.

"No thanks Ging. I'm going to grab something on the road. Are you sure you girls don't want to come?"

"Nah we don't want to ruin your time with your friends. Besides, not all of us are lucky enough to get a full summer off of work, ya know."

Jerylin laughed at the girl's comment and hugged her goodbye before grabbing some coffee and heading out towards the RV.

Jerylin opened the door of the large vehicle and took in the smell of brand new car. She climbed on the RV and automatically went towards the bunk beds. Although they were small, Jerylin didn't like sharing a sleeping place so the couch and actual bed were out of the question. She placed her bags on the bottom bunk bed since she was afraid of rolling off at night and then headed towards the driver's seat. She placed the key in the ignition and jumped up and down with happiness as the engine roared to life. Jerylin reached into her back pocket and took out her phone.

6:30 A.M.

The crisp morning air stung as he breathed, ripping through his throat in it's quest to find his lungs. His breathing was a bit labored and his body ached but that's what can be expect when out running in the early hours of the day. It was a nice feeling though, something that Esben would never complain about when he was actually fit enough to go on a 45 minute to hour run in the morning. Some people couldn't even see their toes, not that they would try when they only had to look around their guts enough to see their TV Dinners. Plus he was finally able to break out his summer jogging gear, a pair of new shorts and sweatbands. No shirt, he didn't need one.

Coming to a stop outside his house, Esben lifted his arms over his head in a desperate attempt to get oxygen into his lungs. He then glanced at the watch he had strapped to his wrist, seeing the time he let out a string of curses as he went inside. Though it was summer and he was leaving on a road trip later that morning, Esben had promised he would help open shop at the little beach store he worked at. His stuff already packed and in the car, all he had to do was shower and head off.

Morning work was the worst, Esben hated it but seeing as he had to be up anyways there had been no point in rejecting the offer. Plus he needed to pick up his check so that he was fully funded for his summer long vacation. Opening didn't consist of much. Preparing the registers, cleaning the store from the night before, and then finally turning everything over to the person who had first shift.

He was in and out within an hour, leaving the shop at 8 o'clock sharp when the buzz of his phone signaled to him it was time to meet everyone. His mom had said she'd meet him at the park where they were meeting to drive the car home. She also wanted to say goodbye, as all parents do when parting with their kids for a long span of time.

Pulling up beside the RV, Esben let out a whistle and climbed out of his car. "Holy H*lls, girl." He said in admiration, "When you said we'd be traveling in style you weren't lying. Sh*t!" Circling the mobile home, Esben pulled open the door so he could explore the inside before getting his stuff out of the car.

"This is f*ckin' great!" He flashed a cheery grin in Jerylin's direction before spotting the bunk above the driver's seat. "Ah! I call dibs." Flashing across the small space, Esben hurled himself onto the bunk with very little grace.

Kierra had been up since the break of dawn, finishing off some very important packing and work necessities before she was able to leave for a month, journeying around the states with her best friends, having the time of her life. The Weekly Times had negotiated with another columnist that they would swap topics while she was away on her road trip. Instead of writing a piece about money and society each week, she was to write a special series about travel in the United States.

While other countries were beautiful and exotic, not nearly enough American's knew enough about what their own country had up for offer. She was hoping that by writing about what she saw on her travels, would inspire others to live their lives to the fullest extents. It was her motto, and she really couldn't figure any other great way to bring that message to other people.

As she walked through the streets of Los Angeles, a Starbucks coffee cup in one hand, she admired and fare-welled the city that she had been born and raised in. She was wearing her zip, dark red jeans, tan shirt and black jacket, and her high heeled black ankle boots. Her expensive sunglasses were also shielding her eyes from the piercing rays of the early morning sun, and her hair was donned up in a high ponytail to keep any strands out of her face while she was 'working'. 'Working' was making final preparations and checks on her luggage bags, and seeing that she still had enough money in her bank account to last her the entire ride. Oh, who was she kidding. Of course she had enough money. She was just being ridiculous.

It wasn't a long walk until she reached her beautiful apartment, as being in her kind of high-end neighborhood, everything was never far out of her reach. The bellhop to her apartment building tilted his hat to her as she passed through the doors and she winked at him, with an added smile. As a challenge one time, she had tried his job for an entire day. Experiencing all angles of life, and not having regrets, was a big aim for her. When her shift had finally ended at midnight, Kierra had tipped him a thousand dollars and fallen asleep before her head had even hit the pillow. To say that she had not entirely enjoyed his career position, was a serious understatement.

8:00 am. Kierra grinned and pulled out of her phone from her wallet in preparation for when Jisa would send out a text notifying them that the RV would be ready. She was ecstatic, having not even been able to sleep the previous night from excitement. Life had begun to grow in the paths of her friends and herself, pulling them apart from each other. Day, Joe, Ben, Jisa, Oliver, Opal, Vince and herself. College had brought most of them together. Now, not being there anymore, was going to break them away. She was normally a pretty optimistic person, but that was one of the few things that couldn't help but just seem to bring her down. Her friends were who made her as a person.

Jisa's plan, however, was the greatest idea of the century! She would be able to spend countless hours simply with the people who mattered to her the most. It would often be a tight squeeze, and she had no doubt that some of their conflicting personalities would bring them into a couple of fights, but when they all looked back at it when it was sadly over... They would know it was the best times of their lives.

Kierra squealed when a text was sent by Jisa, alerting all of them to be at Mission Heights Park as soon as possible. Her three suitcases were packed by the door, but she spent a moment to make sure that she was looking presentable before she somehow looped them into her grasp and half-ran, half-jogged to the elevator which would take her down to the below-ground parking garage. Her beautiful, midnight red convertible was awaiting her arrival so she could drive it to the park, where a hired valet would then drive it to the long-term parking garage at the airport. She didn't know where else to put it, but wanted to drive in comfort.

Just outside of the park was the RV where they would be driving and sleeping in, and she could already see Esben's car and somewhat hear his passionate swearing. She grinned and jumped out, throwing her keys towards the waiting valet and taking her bags out of the trunk. "Good morning! Jisa? Ben?" Kierra called, as she stepped inside the "car", searching for her friends. She sighed in relief when she saw where they would be staying. "Oh Jisa, this is going to be awesome. I call sleeping on the Queen Bed! Ah, I'm so excited."

Joe scooped the last bit of cereal into his mouth before pounding back the milk, surprisingly his favorite part, without slurping he finished it before hearing a quick double vibrate. Peering down at the table, then to his phone Joe noticed the sender and remember what they all had planned for the day. Sh*t, Joe quickly muttered as he practically threw his bowl in the sink before running to his room to begin packing. He knew they were going on this trip but completely forgot what day, he hadn't prepared for anything though this is typical for him, constantly forgetting about times and never being truly prepared.

Joseph made haste as he reached into his closet, grabbing a suit case that he thought to be cool; one that he had picked up from a spur of the moment situation - a coffin-like one. Throwing as many clothes as he could find, clean and dirty into the bag he reached for the tide detergent that he had purchased just for this trip, just in case he forgot and had to wash his clothes right away. Having prepared his laptop a few nights he tossed his bag over his shoulder, grabbed his phone with his headphones, dropping the headphones down his shirt, plugging them into his phone, then one in his ears as he sent a message on his phone. The message was to a taxi service to get a ride out so he didn't have to drive his car.

Within twenty minutes the taxi had arrived with a quick two honks notifying Joe that his ride was there, as he bolted out the door he ran past his bucket of movies had prepared to bring, swiftly grabbing that with his free hand and made it out the door running to the taxi. Placing his contents in the taxi he made one last trip inside, grabbing his pillow as he hated random pillows. Joe spoke to himself aloud, touching his pockets and his bags to double check he had everything. Once confirmed he had everything, Joe handed the destination details to the taxi driver then made their way off to his location.

Joseph messaged Jisa to inform her that, he didn't in fact forget about them and that he could possibly be running a slight bit late, or later than he had hoped. Typing and hitting send the message read, "Totally didn't forget, be there soon, totally not late either... didn't sleep in, even went to be super early. But I got movies ;p" Joe told a few white lies, mostly about sleeping in, and going to bed early. Joseph put both of his headphones in and turned his music on, though he wouldn't admit it to any of his friends, he was slightly excited for the trip.

Passing out a little to make the trip go by faster, he had arrived being dropped off just near the RV. Joe moved his hand forward handing the money to the taxi driver, quickly evacuating the vehicle grabbing all of his stuff and made his way towards the camper, peering at it with awe seeming to actually be excited for once about leaving his the house for something other than school. Noticing the three outside he realized he wasn't too late giving a shout "See, Totally not late. Now... how about someone helps me with all of this crap?" Joe dropped his suitcase onto the ground, keeping the movie bin and his laptop bag in his hands, quickly moving inside to claim his sleeping area. "Bunk bed... top, it's mine." Throwing his stuff on the bunk he moved back outside to speak with the others, a nice smile on his face, or the best smile he could muster.

7:54 AM

The mid-morning light shove through the window, into the cream-colored room, housing a sleepy Monday. Surprisingly, the young adult still enjoyed sleeping in, and ignoring her schedule. Her head, brown locks spread around evenly, laid atop a white pillow, while her back, stretched out on the mattress, lay curved and mildly uncomfortable. One leg hung off the slightly elevated loft bed, a few feet off the ground, with storage underneath the canvas frame.

You couldn't tell at first, but Monday had small black headphones in her ears, while music played in her sleep. Otherwise, she couldn't sleep as well.

8:02 AM

Bloody h3ll!” She gasped, jumping up from bed, pulling her earbuds with her, still attached, and sent her phone flying towards her from the side table. Her eyes whisked down to see the screen, and what notification had decided to awake her. The text shone brightly on the screen of her fully-charged electronic. “I’m going to be late!” She muttered, practically jumping down from the bed, cellphone in hand as she did a quick double take over her luggage, glad it had been packed the night before.

Monday stood in the shower half a minute later, letting the mildly scalding water wash away the shampoo from her scalp. Her phone alarm beeped its two minute timer, to which the girl ran out of the shower, to her dresser.

The dark-haired girl wore a simple, light cream-colored sweetheart dress, reaching just above her knees. Tied around the waist, it accentuated her curved waist in comparison to her legs and chest area. A light grey knitted camisole lay atop the casual dress, covering her arms, just below the elbow before folding back again. Monday wore dark tights and flats, her pale legs partly covered in her modest and casual outfit.

Running a brush through her harvest brown ringlets, Monday decided to leave them down, and swiftly snuck in a dozen hair ties into her first suitcase.

8:06 AM

Locking and closing her apartment loft door, Monday lugged her bags outside, and turned her head to the left, the designated park a block away. ‘I am so glad I moved here, so I don’t have to walk. But then again, there are too many tourists.” She muttered to herself, rolling the wheeled bag over to the RV. Walking there barely took her a minute, her jaw dropped a bit, much to her dismay. A lot of things didn't really please her.

Well, it’s big, I’ll give you that.” Monday laughed, stepping inside. “I’m taking passenger seat.” She called, plopping her backpack down, and fit her suitcase underneath the seat.

How much did it cost? Oh no, I hope it wasn't too expensive.” She said, frowning.

6:00 A.M.

There was no time to relax for a long time in bed today, he only had two hours left to prepare everything so his grandma would survive the whole month alone. Not that she was that old so she couldn't do it all by herself! Just because Vince already found it a bit hard to leave her alone like that, he wanted to make sure there couldn't happen any accidents. He would finish it later since his grandma was still sleeping and he didn't know where she wanted some things so it didn't stood in her way or whatever.

He bit his lip softly, drumming with his fingers against his leg, doubting if he should go surf since he still had time left. I've packed my bags already so.. maybe I should just go. So he left a note on the table in case she woke up "I'm surfing, back soon. stay safe -Vince :) " before changing into his wetsuit and grabbing his board. The beach was close so he could walk while the sun was shining softly from behind the clouds. The beach was almost empty but that wasn't really weird around this time. It was only 6:30 A.M. so people were probably still sleeping. He started to run the last meters and dived with his board into a wave, feeling the cold water all over his body. But that happens most of the time when you jump into the water for the first time on that day.

After twenty minutes he had to head back since he still had to finish the last few things. He placed his white board with a lot of mini signs on it against the wall in the hall. Like tattoos, they al had a special meaning. Except for the one from his name because that was just so he could always say it was his board. He took a quick shower to wash of the salt water from his body and out of his hair. After that he grabbed just the first t-shirt he saw, which was one with blue and white stripes. A random pair of skinny jeans (not too skinny) and his blue nike's. His grandma woke up a few minutes later so he helped her with the last things. before he pulled out his phone. A text from Jisa, "Almost on my way" he replied before dropping all his luggage in the pick up he had to use since his own car was at the garage.

"Stay safe! Don't worry about me, see you next month" he shouted, leaning out of the window from the car after his grandma promised she would be careful and hugged him. It was a beautiful day, sun was shinging and it wasn't cold at all. He was excited to spend a lot of time with good friends. It would definitely be a lot of fun! He turned on the radio and sang along lightly with one of the songs.

He parked his car besides the RV, turned of the radio and jumped out of the car while he shove the keys in the pocket of his jeans. Seeing that there were already five others: Jerylin, Esben, Kierra, Monday and Joseph. He hung his backpack over his shoulders and grabbed the other things with one of his hands. "Hey there! Man this thing is amazing" He said as he went inside, dropping his stuff on the pull out sofa. This was the best thing ever already even though they didn't even travel yet. "I claim one of the pull out sofas, I'm so excited it's not normal"

7:00 AM

Oliver, sprawled across his bed, pushes his face farther into his pillow when his alarm begins to ring. The words he mumbles into his pillow roughly translate into 'Remind me why I am waking up early again?'. Then he remembers what today is, and like a bolt of lightning he shoots upright.

"ROAD TRIP!" He shouts before he can stop himself, covering his mouth after the damage is done. "Road trip!" He whispers through his hands. He jumps off of his bed, looking at his already-packed luggage as he sprints toward the shower. He is in and out in a few minutes, Oliver isn't a fan of wasting water. He heads back to his room and pulls on a 'Save Ferris' T-Shirt, yellow jeans, a beanie, and Osiris shoes. He walks over to his dresser and carefully puts on his lucky necklace, which hangs right above the space between the 'a' and 'v' in 'Save Ferris'. He holds and inspects the key for a minute before letting it bounce against his shirt. He grabs his phone- waiting for the text.

7:16 AM

Oliver jumps down the stairs, knowing he has quite a bit of time. He sets his luggage beside the door and enters the kitchen. His mother is there, stirring a cup of tea.

"Hi mom! A good morning it is, isn't it?" He smiles, fixing his glasses as he pulls out the ingredients to make pancakes. He figures since he has some time he could make himself a decent breakfast. His mother smiles and looks down at her tea.

Oliver is very lucky as far as his job goes. Google is very understanding towards their younger employees. And using his laptop, he can work from the road.

7:40 AM

Oliver shoves a few pancakes in his mouth and says goodbye to his mom. He doesn't want to put a burden on his parents by making his mother drive the car home, so he'll just call a cab. He cleans up the kitchen, glad he woke up early.

8:00 AM

He receives the group text and calls the cab service. They arrive promptly and he jumps into the taxi, luggage in tow. He texts the group back,

'I woke up early and I'm on my way. WOOOOOOOH!' He smiles as he sends it.

Arriving at the park, he sees the RV and is speechless. Just kidding.

"Woah! This is AWESOME!" He pays the cab driver, grabs his luggage, and runs to the RV. Walking inside, he puts his stuff on the sofa. "Sofa is mine! But I'm driving!" He yells. There is nothing better than spending a summer with his friends. He exits the RV and sees everyone else standing around it. He smiles, glad to be with his friends.

Day 1/ 8:30 A.M./San Diego CA

Jerylin watched from the driver's seat in the RV as her fellow neighbors made their way out of their houses and into their cars. She was loving the gawking views as they stared at her motor-home with amazement and envy. Jerylin was lucky enough to have been working at the book store for almost 5 years now. There would be no way her manager would have let her left the whole summer if she hadn't proven herself to be a loyal employee all those years. She never asked for a raise and she only had three complaints from customers. One of them had spilled food on a book and was refusing to buy it, so she went to go complain. The other was trying to return a book for cash that she had bought at a half-priced book store. The last, well lets just say Jerylin had just gotten out of a final that she didn't do so good on and it was her lovely time of month.

But now with all worries aside, Jerylin backed out of her driveway and headed to a gas station to fill up before meeting her friends. It was a bit hard driving such a massive thing since all Jerylin had ever driven was a Volkswagen, but after a few blocks, very sharp turns and nearly running over a jogger, Jerylin got the hang of it. "I'm definitely not driving first," she muttered to herself. Once the RV was all filled up and ready to roll, Jerylin made her way to the park hoping that no one had gotten there yet. She wanted to soo everyone's face before they arrived.

The park was alone aside from a few moms working out and a guy running his dog, a very cute guy. Jerylin parked the RV glad to see that she was in fact the first one there. She stepped out of the enormous vehicle and took a good look at it before the first car arrived. It was Esben. Jerylin ran up to him and embraced him in a friendly hug. "You know me. I like things done right. She helped him with his stuff until the second car, arrived, Kierra. Like always Kierra arrived in a very fashionable manner. Jerylin waved towards Kierra's valet before he left. "Glad it meets your standards Kierra" Following Kierra was Joseph, guy that she completely violated the "stranger danger" code for. She had met the guy online and then decided it would safe enough to meet him for coffee. Had her mother known Jerylin would have been dead already. "Oh no of course you aren't. We've just been waiting for you for hours already,"Jerylin said sarcastically. Her sarcasm then turned into a smile and began to help Joseph with his stuff.

It was a while before the other people arrived. When Monday made her entrance, Kierra Joseph and Esben were in a small chat. "Hey Monday!" Although her words might not have hinted it, Jerylin could that Monday was a little excited. Of course being a pessimist, Monday always had to find something wrong, "Don't worry I already got it out of your paycheck." Jerylin smiled at the joke and helped the girl with her bags. Jerylin was inside the RV when she got the text from Vince that he was almost there. As if on cue, Vince arrive as soon as Jerylin got out of the RV. "Hey Vince! Almost thought you weren't gonna make it. So your grandma decided not to come after all?" Jerylin had told Vince that if he was too worried about leaving his grandma he could bring her along. Jerylin was all about including people and trying to make everyone happy. Oliver arrived shortly after. Like expected, he was blooming with enthusiasm for the trip. "OLIVER!" Jerylin, upon seeing the cab, stopped what she was doing and rushed over to give the boy a huge bear hug. It had been strange to be around Oliver when she first found out he was gay, especially since she had had a big crush on the guy, but after a while it was as if they had been best friends for ever. Gladly, Jerylin tossed the keys of the RV to Oliver when he said he wanted to drive.

Looking around Jerylin could see that almost everyone was there, except for Ophelia. "Guess Queen Bee wants to make an entrance." Jerylin should have expected Ophelia to be fashionably late like always, but she still had hope that the girl would one day be on time. Well I don't know about you guys, but I rather wait inside where there's an AC. Jerylin climbed on the RV once more and made her way to sit on the couch. She was very excited for this trip. It wasn't everyday that she got to run away and enjoy life. It was just her and her six friends, well seven when Ophelia arrived. She felt like this was the beginning of a very cheesy 80's sitcom. All they needed was some background music.

Monday rolled her eyes with a slight grin, biting her well-educated tongue from shooting something sharp back at the profanity-speaking man, who happened to be a friend of hers. “Well, there is no sense in worrying about it too much…” She sighed, hesitating to contradict her cynic nature.

The girl made her way to step in at the counter as well, and reached down to grab the food in the boxes before finished, and Esben stepped out of the RV. She, rather, watched a little cautiously from the motor vehicle, taking her time to unpack her pillow. Biting her lip, Monday reached in beside the seat to find a couple of colourful hook ties, and she strapped them around her cushion, locking it to the passenger seat with a semi-proud grin at her little feat.

She gave a gentle sigh, and plopped down on the chair next to the driver seat, showcasing a glorious view of the street ahead of them. Currently, it was just the sedan in front of the massive automobile, and the park beside. Off to the sidewalk, her friends were meeting up, but the more shy/antisocial girl leaned back, chewing on her lip once more.

I really should go greet people.

But people are loud.

They are your friends.” Her own intuition reasoned with a snort.

Monday let out a sigh, and stood up, keeping a grasp on her cellphone, and hoisted herself off the camper and to the ground of forming newly-graduated young adults.

At Esben's colorful greeting, Kierra had laughed and rolled her eyes, kicking out playfully at him as she passed, unable to give him a greeting hug without either dropping her bags everywhere or setting them down on the ground. Her mother had gifted them to her on a previous Christmas holiday, along with whatever else she had stated that she wanted, after she had spent a year away in Paris. Not nearly as expensive as Chanel or Louis Vuitton, they had belonged to her great-grandmother, and were a family heirloom. Her mother had always preferred the more expensive tastes, yet Kierra could see the appeal of such history. Also, she thought the three handled suitcases were cute.

The Queen Bed appeared spacious and more luxurious than any of the other sleeping places on offer. As she wasn't currently prepared to squish into a tiny place that would disturb her sleeping patterns, she settled for the closest thing to the type of life that she lived in. There was no doubt in her mind that when Ophelia arrived, she would call to sleep there too but she had no problem with that. Friends could trust each other. It wasn't like they were all strangers, anyway. She felt comfortable around them. Sliding her suitcases underneath the bed on the left most side, she took a moment to really survey the area in which they would be staying for the most of their time on the trip.

Jisa was right. It was quite up to her standards. It was far nicer than she had expected it to be. Kierra had offered to help her friend out with finding (and paying) for the RV, but Jisa had been quite adamant about doing it all herself. She had laughed and wished her the best of luck. Maybe there was a bit of money that come from working at a bookstore. After all, Jisa had been working there for as long as she could remember. That was where they met. A reason for studying, and a surprise turn out of the possibility of a new friend. She smiled, straightened up, smoothed out her clothing and exited the RV again just as Joe pulled up to the curve.

He had obviously assumed that he was going to be late but appeared quite relieved at the fact that he was actually second or third to get there, depending on how the situation was viewed. He called for help and as Jerylin moved over to help him with his bags, she moved over to help out Esben, who was currently unpacking his own things. Food, a barbecue and whatever else he had in the trunk of his car. She did her best, but as he was much stronger than her and was far more used to hard work, he obviously got the majority. As they worked, Monday, Vince and Oliver all arrived at their own times. She stopped for a moment to wave at Day, grin at Vince and manage to catch a moment of eye contact with Oliver before he was swarmed by Jisa in a happy hug. It was almost as enthusiastic as Oliver's mood.

Her phone buzzed just as Ben entered the RV for the last time to pack away the rest of his things and with a start, she realized who was actually calling. Her father, who was overseas in Japan on a business deal. She answered and lifted the latest phone to her ear, walking away a bit from the commotion being caused by her greatest friends. "Hello? Dad? Is everything okay?"

On the other end of the phone, she heard him chuckle slightly and she almost imagined his amused smile as he stepped back from his busy work life for a moment so that he was able to make a quick call to his daughter. She hadn't been expecting a conversation with him that week so it was a pleasant surprise. "Everything's fine over here, Kierra. Your mother reminded me that you're going on a trip with your friends for a month. I wanted to wish you good luck and a good time while you're on the road. I can't stay on the phone for a long conversation, I'm using up my self designated coffee break to call you. I love you, sweetheart. Have a good time and call don't be afraid to drop by in one of the branches if you need anything."

Kierra laughed breathlessly and ran a hand through the end of her ponytail before beginning to twirl it around her finger. "Thanks Dad. I'll keep that in mind. You stay safe too." He hung up without another word but she didn't have any problem with that, turning back to the group with her spirits lifted substantially. It wasn't to say that they were low before, because they most certainly were not, but somehow they had grown even higher. She walked back over to Joe, Esben and the recently added Monday. "I think we're going to have a really good time on this trip. Plus, we get away from here for a bit! No more college, the open road and freedom. So long as Benny doesn't swear too much. Especially around any children." She told them, winking playfully at Esben in the latter section.

((This is going to be short, sorry! Going to an amusement park with my Girlfriend <.<)) Joe continued staying somewhat quiet with his friends as he watched the rest pull up, very rarely did he talk when they were all together unless a topic of his choice came up. Following Jisa inside he jumped up to his bunk before turning to look at her, "So where's the location to plug music in, you know you all love my music!" Joe knew that was a lie, considering his variety could be a bit wild, sometimes listening to metal, mostly rock, but he loved classical and he had more than enough of it on his phone to keep him happy.

Joe smiled for a bit before going to get off as he hit his head on the top bunk, "Ouch." he held his head for a moment before getting off. "I should be more careful, I could be the first injury of the trip... I am pretty accident prone." With a shrug Joe sat down next to Jisa as he played some games on his phone, not really paying attention much with the others as he was still tired, he never gets enough sleep. ((Sorry it's really short :/ got to go, move my character if needed.))

Oliver returns Jisa's hug just as enthusiastically. Even though she never spoke of it, he knew it was harder for her to accept that he was homosexual than everyone else. He had a hunch that it was because she liked him before he came out. He felt a little guilty for awhile that he couldn't possibly return that affection, even though it wasn't his fault. But they were both past that now, he was perfectly comfortable with being homo, and she was his best friend for life. This story has a happy ending!

"Hi Jisa, how are you this fine morning? I'm grand, this is going to be fun!" He catches the keys and joins the collection of students around the RV, greeting each one.

"Hi Esben, hi Kierra, hi Joe, hi Day, hi Vince!" He paused for a second, frowning in thought. "Where's Ophelia? Hopefully she gets here before I decide to drive away without her. " He grins and jingles the keys threateningly. "Who's going to be my co-pilot? Who's the lucky winner that gets to be there to keep me company and take over if I die tragically behind the wheel?" He looks into the sky, his hand on his chest, dramatically.

"Okay, seriously guys, I'm done being melodramatic. I'm just excited!"

Around 8:30 A.M.

Vince shook his head and laughed softly as Kierra asked him about his grandma. "Sorry getting on time isn't something i'm really good at, but no maybe I will bring her with me next time". He flashed a smile back to Esben, Kierra and Oliver who greeted him. Now everyone was here, except for Ophelia. Maybe she stood in a traffic jam or something. They wouldn't leave without her for sure so the only thing they have to worry about was if there didn't happen something to her.

He just threw his backpack under the pull out sofa he was sleeping on. If I unpack it all it will probablly be a mess in like two days. The only thing he grabbed out of his backpack for now were his sunglasses. The weather was good so that made the whole trip already awesome, a good weather could always cheer people a bit up. He stepped out of the RV while he put on his sunglasses. He was still worried about his grandma but hoped that would fade away a bit as they were driving and he called his mom to check if everything was alright.

He sat down on the ground and leaned with his back against the RV. He grabbed his phone to text one of his other friends. who was also his boss. "Thanks again for letting me go this month, I will do some extra work when i'm back :) -Vince". He sat there for a few minutes looking at the others who were outside. Not everyone stood there so probably a few were inside. Anyway he had to do one last thing so he stood up again.

Since he had unpacked all his luggage out of his car, he was thinking of a way to take his surfboard with him on the roadtrip. Inside of the RV was probably not a good idea because it would take a lot of space. On the top of the RV was a better idea so he grabbed his board and sat it down against the back of the RV. "Esban! Since you got everything with you, do you maybe also got a rope or something? I want to tie up my board on top of the RV". He shouted looking over at Esben as he pointed with his thumb over his shoulder to the RV. The idea was to climb on the top, drag the board on top of it too and then tie it up with the rope. Should be a good idea but he wasn't 100% sure of that.

With the once practically empty RV now filling, Esben couldn't help his anticipation of the coming trip. He had never done anything like this before, hadn't even planned to until Jisa brought up the idea. Leaving work was pretty much unavoidable for him seeing as he was headed out of the country in the fall so it hadn't been difficult to let his boss know. This was going to be like a farewell trip before his internship in South America, he'd be digging up old civilizations for three months. Not that any of them new it, he hadn't had the chance to tell any of his friends about the trip but hoped to find the time somewhere during the road trip. It might prove to be hard though, already there were several conversations and tons of hugging going on.

"Very f*ckin' funny," Esben said lightly in response to Kierra's teasing. "I'm sure kids could learn a thing or two from me!" He flashed her a grin, knowing that his statement was both true and false at the same time. He wasn't a big fan of kids mostly because they had the habit of going wide-eyed whenever he opened his mouth. It wasn't his f*ckin' fault he had a habit of cussing, shit. Okay... maybe it was his fault. He turned his head in the direction of Vince when he called him.

"Rope? Nah, but I have some bungy-cords." Throwing open the trunk of his car, he rummaged through the crap he was going to leave behind until he pulled out the mess of cords he had. Separating a few good ones, he clapped Oliver on the shoulder with a warm greetings. "How yeah doin'?" He gave Oliver a smile and continued on, tossing Vince the cords. Esben then shuffled up the latter, motioning for Vince to toss him the cords and pass up the board.

"Lets get this b*tch strapped in tight." He said, "don't want her fallin' off."

Day 1/9:00 A.M./San Diego CA

You've reached Ophelia's voicemail, please leave your message after the tone.*tone* "Hey It's Jisa, Are you coming or not? Call me or text me at least." Jerylin flipped her phone closed and gave a big sigh. I guess this 8 people trip has just turned into a 7 people trip. She turned to look at Radke, "She still isn't answering...If your head okay?"

The clock kept ticking and there was still no sign of Ophelia, so Jerylin did what seemed most reasonable. Jerylin went over to the passenger seat and stuck out her head threw the window, "Oliver, start up the engine. We're gonna go bang on her door. We really can't waist any more time if we want to beat noon traffic." Jerylin grabbed her phone and began dialing Ophelia's number. After several rings, You've reached Ophelia's voicemail, please leave your message after the tone. *Tone* "You better be ready, we're coming over."

Jerylin went back and resumed her sitting place next to Radke and began to notice the tunes playing out of his music device and into the RV. "Nice music, if you want to keep a baby asleep." Jerlyn said jokingly, but didn't change it. She figured that the person driving should have a say on the music. But for now, since no one was behind the wheel she guessed classical music would be the next hit on the RV radio.

Jerylin waited for everyone to get on the RV to go pick up Ophelia, who was hopefully still planning to come, and then hit the road. She already had every attraction and every place mapped out. She wasn't planning on using a lousy GPS. No, Jerylin wanted to do this the old way. She stood up and went over to her backpack and began fishing around it before finally taking out a folded up piece of paper. "Jackpot!" Jerylin then went towards Vince and handed him the folded paper, "Congratulations! You have been officially selected to become the RV's first ever co-pilot. Your duties include wiping off the drool of the driver if he falls asleep, cleaning his diapers if he has to go, and licking the window clean if any bugs smash against it." With a joking smile, Jerylin handed over the folded paper which would reveal the map of California and small part of Nevada.

On the map was a single path highlighted and post-it note on the side that read, "CA-163N; I-215N; I-15N; Exit 41A. Rest Stop: Barstow CA" Hopefully with Jerylins notes, it wouldn't be hard to follow the map. She remembered staring that the thing for hours before finally finding all of the twists and turns to take. It seemed rather simple after she cheated for the first stop and used google maps, but the rest of the trip she mapped on her own. "Let's get this show on the road!"

"You know Esben, I agree with you. So many kids are cursing these days, they ought to learn it right from the master. And I love your cussing habit, no homo." He winks, smiling. He loves joking about everything, even his self. Not many can say that.

He hears Jisa call for him to start the RV. "Start the engine you say? Yes ma'am!" He sprints over to the drivers side and hops in, the keys jingling. He starts the RV, the engine making a satisfying sound. He pokes his head out of the window,

"ALL ABOARD THE OLIVER BUS!"
He screams across the park, earning a few dirty looks. But he just smiles through it, nothing can dull his excitement today. He rests his palms on the steering wheel, taking a deep breath. He feels almost nervous, like he was the day of his driving test. "This thing is a MONSTER. I could crush a Fiat like a beetle with this. This RV could take a monster truck!" He chuckles. He feels for the pedals, running through a mental checklist.

"Seriously, you people better hurry up or I'll run you over. More room for us, you know?" He grins out the window.

He turns to Vince. "So you're the lucky winner that gets to be my co-pilot? Goodie for you. I promise your experience will be at least entertaining, and probably harrowing. So, enjoy the ride!" He laughs and enjoys the classical music. "You know, Radke, when I was little I wanted to be a conductor." He mocks setting the tempo with his fingers, pretending to direct an orchestra.

"Oh, by the way, friends, you'll learn to love my musical tastes." He grins wickedly at the people in the RV. He did like a variety of music, from Alternative to Indie Rock to Grunge and beyond.

9:00 A.M.

Vince quickly glanced over to Esben's car, wondering what else he got in there. But then pulled his board the last few centimeters on the top of the RV. He shrugged lightly and raised one of his eyebrows "Bungy-cords sounds alright, you got literally everything in your car there right". A light laugh showed up while he was tossing the cords to Esben and strapped his board. Esben's way of talking just had something what made Vince smile or laugh.

Once they finished the task with his board he made his way into the RV. Where he got handed a folded paper with the road they needed to follow on and the message that he would be the first co-pilot. "Woohoo! Thanks miss Jerylin, excuse me I'm going to change diapers from the driver right now then if you don't mind" he chuckled as he shook his head and made his way to the passenger seat to see who was driving first.

The first one who was going to drive was Oliver, kinda happy with that Vince sat down at the passenger seat. Oliver was outgoing so that means a lot of fun. That was what Vince thought about outgoing people then. "That's me, an entertaining ride sounds fun but not too much entertaining because I'm not in the mood to comfort an screaming mother because you bumped into her car" he said with a grin as he looked over at Oliver. He checked out the map which Jerylin gave him, it looked like a piece of cake but never to underestimate things. "First to the highway but you can find that without my help right"

As Kierra climbed into the RV at Jerylin's request, she glanced at the time that was currently being displayed by her phone and raised an eyebrow. 9.00 am. It had been a full hour since Jisa had sent her text alerting every member of the group that the RV was ready and they could gather there as quickly as possible to begin their trip. She hadn't been the first to arrive, but she had arrived on basic time. They all knew that Ophelia had a flair for being fashionably late, to set up that kind of reputation, and she would definitely admit that she had pulled that kind of card before, but there was a time and place.

Especially on the greatest day to the start of the time of their lives when they would travel around, just being with friends, and not having a care in the world. She had been packing and preparing for weeks since Jisa first announced the plan. She couldn't be more excited. But after all, what happened with Ophelia was always up to Jerylin's decision. If they left without her, that was Jisa's choice. It made her uncomfortable to think of that, but it could happen. Stop it, she demanded of herself as her thoughts took a turn for the worse, don't become all sad and mopey. You're the optimist. Stay happy and positive because this is the best time of our lives! Woohoo!

She smiled at her inner thoughts and moved over to the Queen Bed, perching on the edge so that she had the perfect view of the entire inside of the RV. The rest of her friends filed in quickly and it was easily decided that Oliver and Vince would be driving first. She was relieved at that fact. She wasn't ready to be behind the wheel yet. If she started them off, somehow her awful navigation skills would lead them straight to Australia. That would certainly an adventure. Not a bad one of course. She had always wanted to visit the land down under but had never managed to find the time. Of course, she didn't believe the rumors that citizens actually rode kangaroos to work and school. But if she could try that, that would be the absolute greatest!

She laughed at Oliver's declaration. "I bet we'll all definitely get acquainted with your music, Oliver. Not all of it is bad. You just seem to have a very wide taste in music. Around 1000 hours while you're driving, and we'll all be singing the lyrics to your music. Just like you'll all be loving my Top 40 music." Her friends all came from different backgrounds, and very different tastes in likes and habits. It was quite a wonder that they all still managed to work quite well together. She wouldn't give her relationships with all of them for the world though. "Oh, and just in case I have forgotten to tell any of you, I am probably going to ask you guys for opinions on what traversing America is like for my column, and at least for some dinners we have to dine in style. I don't care if I am shouting every single time, but it hurts my heart to see my dear friends eating road side pies and soggy chips for every meal. It's also why my Christmas presents are always the best." She flicked her hair over her shoulder and laughed, her tone joking for the latter part at least.

Oliver looks at his co-pilot. "Wait, Vince, am I getting on the highway or are we going to Ophelia's house?" He glances at Jisa, this is not his decision to make. How could he possibly make the decision to leave someone behind? He shakes his head, his curls bouncing. "Just tell me where I need to go, Jisa." He grips the steering wheel and waits for orders. Then a thought occurs to him.

"Is everyone even in the RV?" He laughs. He craned for a view over the driver's seat, but he couldn't see the entire RV. "Not that I wouldn't mind leaving someone behind, their face would be PRICELESS!" He chuckles softly, listening to Kierra. He raises an eyebrow, a skill that took him an entire summer to learn.

"Oh really, Top-40-Girl? Let's start with some Nirvana!" He unplugs Radke's phone, which was currently playing Brahms symphony 2, his favorite, and plugged in his phone. He grins as he scrolls through his songs. "I'll start with something you may have heard and liked." He taps 'Smells Like Teen Spirit'. "Secondly, in defense of the roadside stands worldwide, some of them are actually to-die-for good, you just have to look and try." He secretly promised himself that during this trip he would show Kierra a different side of life, one where you didn't need a lot of money to get the best experience. He would show her the diamonds in the rough. "But, hey, I don't mind dining in style. Everything about me is in style!" He pulls on his 'Save Ferris' shirt, laughing.

"Ophelia's house, we drive past her house if we drive to the highway so we can pick her up. We weren't planning to forget her right?" He said as he looked at the map and raised one of his eyebrows. Of course they weren't going to go without Ophelia that would be just not alright. Plus if they did they would text something to her and not just leave. Anyway he forgot to say first that Ophelia's on the way to the highway but he said it now so.

He grabbed his phone to text his grandma that they were on their way as she asked him to do. "We're on or way, didn't forget to let you know that! -Vince" he send it with a smile while he listened to the music. Nirvana wasn't that bad but the song Oliver played right now wasn't one he knew. "Isn't nirvana really old already? Not that that matters or something, their music is still good". He asked not to a specific person but more in general. Vince turned around in his seat to see what the others were doing in the back of the RV. He was leaning with his chin on the top of the seat looking around, still a bit tired.

Since he was still leanging with his chin on the top of the seat and not in the mood to turn around, he started to think about how the waves would be in the places they were driving to. And if there were waves at all or just none. Otherwise he would just jog around in the morning because he just wanted to work out a bit. He wasn't planning to mess up his whole condition even though this was also time to relax. But sporting was a way to relax for him so it wasn't that bad.

Joe nodded to Jisa to confirm that his head was okay before looking towards the front where a lot of them were before clearing his throat and stating. "Personally... Nirvana shouldn't be played anymore. Yeah they were good... but the singer offed himself and I constantly hear them on the radio stations. Just let the man be dead and get over them. Plus he sings so monotone and so... hmm, drowny?" Joe smirked before he looked to his phone beginning to spam text Ophelia, every text saying 'Wake up', he probably sent a good fifty messages. "Did you guys ever stop to think maybe she is still sleeping, God knows she likes her sleep." With a quick chuckle he'd set his phone down into his pocket. Joe began looking around before turning to Jisa, "Should we put a movie on? Yeah we should put a movie on! What movie should we put on, hm..." Joe reached for his large bucket of movies, there had to be over sixty movies in that thing.

"Anything you guys want to put on? I have all of the movies you could ever wish for... except for the weird stuff Jisa is probably in to." Joseph chuckled before smirking at her, then looking to the rest of them. "You guys know that dining table is a bed as well right? So there's still lots more room, this thing itself is a mansion, I'm actually pretty sure it has more sleeping area's than my house... it may be bigger than my house!" He was on a roll, this would be one of those situations where he really just does not stop talking. Joe once again sat down beside Jisa rummaging through his bucket of movies waiting for them to arrive at Ophelia's house to see if she just forgot.

Monday gasped in mock surprise at Joe. “
Radke, how dare you put down the most didactic singers of the late 1980s to early 1990s?!” she laughed, leaning back on the couch. “But yes, I will agree, to an extent. I believe it is time for the band to retire, and give forth their glorious spot to a more futuristic band. Like The XX. Or maybe The 1975.” She said quietly, pulling one leg up to tuck under her other limb.

Oh, I brought a few good ‘ol DVDs. Let’s see…” She said, and reached forward, scooping up her bag. “Third of Lord Of The Rings, Spiderman, Indiana Jones, ohh, Moulin Rouge! And the first Harry potter movie.” She said, dropping them down on the middle table as she looked around the RV, feeling it move from the wheels.

Has anyone gotten connection with Ophelia yet?” She asked, her brow furrowing.
